"It's quiet," Rose agreed. She took walks through the park when she needed quiet after dealing with little kids.

"Let's go, then," Taylor replied.

Damien continued walking aimlessly, just enjoying the quiet and the company. She had been very fun so far. Of course, she didn't know about him yet.

Sera got up and went back over to his car, whistling to herself as she did.

Rose walked with Damien, enjoying the peace. Tentatively, she slid her hand into his.

Taylor followed Sera to the car and got in.

"So, which theater do you like? I know there are a few around here."

Damien merely smiled and kept hold of her hand, steering her off the beaten path to a little area off to the side. Wild roses grew against the fence there.

"I normally go to the one a couple blocks down, with the fake marble floors." Sera pointed in the correct direction. "But wherever you want to go is fine with me."

Rose grinned when she saw the flowers.

"They're so pretty," she said. "I love roses... kind of obvious, though, I guess."

"Then we can go to your favorite theater," Taylor said, turning to head towards the theater.

Damien merely chuckled. "Roses are pretty. These ones especially because they grow naturally here."

Sera smiled a little and nodded, staying there to wait as he drove.

"Yeah," Rose agreed. "The whole park is pretty like this."

Taylor grinned when he managed to find a good parking space at the theater.

"Alright," he said, "What movie do you want to see?"

Damien nodded. "Yeah. It's not quite as nice in the daytime, because it's a popular little park. But at night all the animals come out."

"I honestly have no idea Anything we can make fun of." Sera shrugged and gave him a sheepish grin. "So basically nothing sappy. And no stupic humor."

Rose nodded.

"I usually come here to escape the kids at the library," she agreed.

Taylor looked up at the listings before pointing to a title.

"How about that one?" he asked. "I've heard it's ridicule-worthy."

Damien nodded. "That's understandable. I don't know how you deal with small children every weekend, but I wouldn't do it."

Sera grinned. "Sounds good to me." She got in line, choosing the next movie time. "Looks like we'll have half an hour to kill before we go see our movie."

Rose shrugged.

"I don't mind them, most of the time," she said. "I usually like kids, but sometimes I just need peace and quiet and a place where I don't have to watch out for flying glue sticks."

"Half an hour isn't bad," Taylor replied, walking with her over to a table near the concession stands. "Could be worse. The previews start in fifteen."

Damien nodded. "Yeah. I don't usually work with kids. We have kids that come into the zoo some afternoons, and I have to admit I go hide."

"Yeah. Those are usually amusing to watch. Sometimes I even remember what movies they advertised." Sera grinned, obviously amused.

"Aww, afraid of the little kids?" Rose teased.

"I used to know someone who would watch the previews with a pen and notebook so she could write down titles and dates," Taylor said, grinning.

"They make too much noise for me. I don't deal well with screaming miniature people." Damien shivered at the thought.

Sera laughed quietly. "That is actually a good idea if you see anything good."

Rose laughed a little.

"Aww, the big strong lion tamer can't handle a group of kids?" she teased. "It's okay, I know how to deal with little kids."

"Sort of," Taylor replied. He checked the time. "Did you want any snacks or anything for the movie?"

Damien rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. You can keep the kids, I'll take the big cats."

"I think I'm good." Sera smiled at him. "They took out the Coffee Bean they had here, so I'm disappointed."

Rose laughed a little.

"I'll work with the seven-year-olds and you can work with the cats," she said.

"It's hard to find good coffee places," Taylor said. "My favorite is one of the local places in the plaza with the tattoo shop."

"Sounds fair to me." Damien smirked faintly at her. "I'm pretty sure you'll be better with the kids anyway."

"You have any tattoos?" Sera asked. She couldn't help but ask. It wasn't her fault she liked small, two or three tattoos and piercings.

"I bet you could work with kids if you tried," Rose replied. "It's not hard."

"One," Taylor replied, grinning in a 'it's not where you can see' way.

"I know I can. I've done it before. But I prefer not to." Damien shrugged. "We all have our pet peeves, and loud kids are mine. If they're quiet or tired or sleeping, fine. I can deal with them then."

Sera raised her eyebrows, a slow grin spreading across her lips. "Really, now?" She glanced at the viewing room as they opened the doors so people could go in to watch the previews.

"Come on. Let's go sit in the back."

"I'm the designated babysitter in the family," Rose said. "Most of my cousins are older than I am, with families, so I get to watch the kids most of the time." She shrugged. "You get used to it after a while."

"Really," Taylor confirmed. He followed her up to the back row of the theater and sat down with her.

"Yeah, I guess so." Damien shook his head a little. "Well, at least you got used to it, and you must enjoy it at least somewhat. Since you work with kids on weekends."

Sera sat down and settled in to watch the previews, curious about his tattoo. But she wasn't going to ask anymore.

Well. Not immediately.

"I do enjoy looking after kids," Rose admitted. "It's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. You just need to be patient with them."

Taylor knew she was curious about the tattoo now, but he didn't offer any more information. Let her think about it for a bit.

"Well, I'll have to come in one day and watch you work your magic." Damien smiled at her. He paused when he heard a dog howl a street over and he shivered briefly. Damn he wanted to go hunting!

Sera pondered the placement of said tattoo through all of the previews, and jerked herself out of fantasy-land only when the movie started. Then she started making fun of it with Taylor, speaking quietly so no one else would notice.

Rose noticed the shudder.

"Is everything alright?" she asked.

Taylor had to hold back a few quiet laughs when he heard some of Sera's jokes. A lot of them were pretty funny, and he threw in a few good comments himself.
