Damien was quiet for a moment, trying to help him think of something to help. "Well, you could always try getting her a small furry critter. Or bring her back here one night and make dinner for her. Do something out of the ordinary for you."

"I'll think of something," Taylor said. He kind of liked the idea of getting her something small and furry... "Wait, didn't you say something about how you were going to give Rose another cat?"

"Yeah. I was either going to get her a kitten or going to go with her to get a kitten." Damien shrugged. "Why?"

"If I get Sera something small and fuzzy, it runs the risk of being eaten," Taylor pointed out.

"Well then get her something medium and fuzzy," Damien said, rolling his eyes. He paused when he saw her going over to the tiger enclosure, the two brothers going up to sniff her through the one fence separating them. "...Like that."

Taylor looked over as well and blinked.

"That shouldn't surprise me," he said, watching Sera with the tigers.

"We really shouldn't be." Damien watched with some bemusement as the tigers started rubbing against her through the fence.

"Get her a tiger."

"Nah, wouldn't want you to get jealous when Rose adopts the thing, too," Taylor joked. "I'm fairly sure there's only room for one giant cat at the foot of the bed."

Damien snorted. "Yes. And I'm bigger." He smirked a little. "Go rescue your girlfriend before she goes into the enclosure with them."

Taylor rolled his eyes, but went over to Sera.

"Having fun?" he asked mildly.

"Oh yes," Sera said with a big smile. "They're very friendly. See?" She held her hand out, and one of the tigers licked her hand.

"Damien's been working with them," Taylor replied, watching the tigers. "Probably still not a good idea to try to go in, though."

"I know that," Sera replied. "I'm not that stupid, you know."

"I know," Taylor replied. "Just saying. Feeling any better than before?"

"I do, actually," Sera replied after a moment. "I guess being distracted helps."

"I can imagine," Taylor said. He paused. "Out of curiosity, what you do think about hamsters?"

"Hamsters? They're cute. I had a friend who had three once. They were probably the most adorable less than two inchest long fluff balls I've ever seen." She looked over at him curiously. "Why do you ask?"

"Curious," Taylor replied. Already, he was making mental notes. If she liked cute fuzzy things, he would get her a cute fuzzy thing.

"Uh huh." Sera didn't press the issue though, just looked around. "Well, what can we do for the rest of the day?"

"I should probably get back to the office, I'm sure there's a mountain of paperwork waiting," Taylor replied. He shrugged. "Maybe you could go find Rose or something?"

"Sounds good to me," Sera said with a little grin. "I'll see you later."

That weekend, Rose decided to sleep in for a while. She finally got up late in the morning when she heard a knock at the door. Going downstairs, she opened it and blinked when she saw Taylor. More importantly, she saw the cage he was holding.

"You brought Sera another rodent?" she asked dryly.

"Yes...?" Taylor replied. Rose was silent for a moment, then shrugged and stepped aside.

"She's probably feeding the other three rats. Good luck."

Sera was up in her room, humming merrily to herself as she fed her rats, feeding them all by hand. She glanced over when she heard someone at the door. "Rose? Who was that?"

Damien arrived a few minutes after Taylor, by sheer coincidence. He went over to the door and knocked as well.

"I'm actually not Rose, but good guess," Taylor teased from the doorway. He held the cage with the hamster where she could see it.

Rose went to the door to open it again, muttering something about how popular they seemed to be that day. It wasn't normal.

Sera turned around and actually blushed, since she was just wearing short shorts and the tank top she'd gone to bed in. She quickly pulled on a robe before she noticed the hamster.

"...You didn't."

Damien smiled at her. "Good morning. I hope I didn't wake you up."
