Sera started looking around at his apartment as soon as he unlocked the door, but she stayed in the main room.

Taylor went into his bedroom, changing into actual fresh clothes and making himself presentable. He came out a few minutes later.

"Find anything interesting?" he teased when he saw her looking around.

"Yeah." Sera tapped a picture of him and Damien obviously celebrating something. "When was this?"

"New Years', a few years back," Taylor said, looking at the picture. It was one of his favorite ones. "First New Year's I spent here as an actual resident."

Sera smiled a little. "Looks like you two were having fun." She had a few similar pictures at home from her and Rose.

"We were," Taylor replied. That, and getting drunk. "He's the best friend I could ever have."

Sera smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I feel the same way about Rose. We've done a lot together."

"He's completely head-over-heels for her," Taylor commented. "You would not believe just how protective he is over her."

Sera smiled just a little. "Actually, I think I would." She couldn't help but chuckle. "I can tell by the way he looks at her."

"He was about this close to losing his mind last night," Taylor replied, holding his fingers less than a quarter inch apart. "He was that worried about her."

Sera chuckled quietly. "Yeah, I'm not surprised. That Siren was... not fun."

"I can imagine," Taylor replied. "I let Damien take care of him. He's better equipped to handle problems like that than I am."

"You mean rip him to bloody shreds." Sera shrugged, not to concerned about that. "Yeah, I can see that."

"Like I said, he's better equipped," Taylor replied. "I'm not so good at ripping things to shreds like that."

"No, I figured you'd be better at subtler things." Sera shrugged. "But that's just me. It's not like there's real conclusive exact data on this anywhere."

"With good reason," Taylor pointed out. "I doubt normal people would take it all that well."

"No, they wouldn't. It upsets their precious world view." Sera rolled her eyes.

"Exactly," Taylor replied. "So, ready to head out?"

"Sure." Sera put down the picture again before she headed for the door, letting him lock up his apartment.

Taylor locked up the apartment once Sera was out the door, and walked with her back to the car.

"So, still up for seeing the aquarium?" he asked. "Or did you want to find something else to do?"

"Well, how about we go to the aquarium and see how long that takes." Sera smiled a little at him, heading over to his car.

"Sounds like a plan," Taylor replied, unlocking the car for her. Leaning over, he kissed her quickly before she got into the car.

Sera couldn't help but smile as she got into his car. "You're going to make a habit of that, aren't you?" she asked. Not that she really minded.

"I plan to," Taylor replied, grinning a bit. He turned on the car and started heading towards the next town.

Sera laughed quietly and settled in for the ride, flipping through the radio stations.
