Vera looked at her father and frowned. "Hello father...busy?" she asked him. The king looked over at them both and put the book down. "I'm never busy for you..." he said to her. "That's a lie!" she spat coldly and then looked over at Isaac. "I'm sick right now...and I'm feeling better....I called for you but never came! I was crying and calling for you and you ignored me! The only people that truly cared about me were Sophia and Isaac." she said and then said something that hurt her father deeply. "I know that if mother was still alive...she would care more than you..." she added.

THe king frowned when he heard her and looked down. "I am sorry Vera, I am truely and deeply sorry for not coming to you." he said softly. He had just been so bussy with work that he had forgotten about everything else, including his daughter. He whould of been by her side instead of working. |
"I...I don't believe you!" she answered and looked up at Isaac then back at her father. "Don't bother coming to me anymore...I'll be fine with the attention of only Sophia and Isaac because it seems like they're the only ones who truly care about me!" she added.

The king was surprised and then stood up, "I have always cared about you and I always will. But dont put your trust into filth like that." he said and pointed to Isaac. "he isn't from out kingdom, he is of enemy blood! If you put your trust in him he might use that against you. So please stop speaking nonsence. Is there any way that I can make it up to you?" he asked as he looked at her and truely was sorry. Isaac was hurt when he heard the king but knew that he was angery and frantic to get his daughter back.

"Isaac is NOT FILTH! He's my best friend! I don't care if he's enemy blood or not...he is my friend and if you do anything to him...I'll...I'll run away! I'll run so far away and never come back!" she cried and and shook her head. "I don't ever want you to say negative things about Isaac in my presence!" she added and looked over at Isaac then at her father. "Just...just leave me alone...why don't you continue working and forget about me!? There...there is NOTHING you can do to make it up to me..." she cried and wiped away her tears. "Come Isaac....let's go for a walk..." she said and ran off.

Isaac glared at the king and only shook his head before he ran off after Vera. When he finally found her still crying he picked her up into his arms and slowed down. "sh everything is okay, your father is just being horrible." he said to her softly and tried tomfet her to stop crying. As he talked to her he headed outside to where the guarden was aned hoped that this would help her calm down

Vera saw the flowers and broke away from his grasp. She sat at a swing after plucking a white rose from the garden and swung gently with silent tears running down her face. "I hate him..." she said quietly.

Isaac ran over to her and frowned as he watched the tears. "you may hate him but it won't change anything." he said to her softly and got her to stop. He then gently wiped her tears and smiled at her, "just relax, everything is going to be okay." he said to her softly and then started to push her on the swing.

Vera shook her head and ripped the rose apart before throwing it to the ground. "I guess...but I still hate him...and there is nothing he could do to make me forgive him." she said and frowned. Vera really missed her mother Rosso.

Isaac looked at her and gently placed a hand on her hand, "I believe those words but you have to remember he is your father and they king. He has two dutys but it doesn't excuse himself for doing that to you." he said to her softly and then smiled, "well you still have me and I will always take care of you."

Vera smiled and sighed. "You speak the truth...." she said and gave up. She got out of the swing and sneezed. "Ugh..." she said and shook her head. "What would you like to do tomorrow?" she asked him.

Isaac looked at her worried, "are you feeling better or are you still sick?" he asked as he studied her. He then smiled at her, "how about if your feeling better I sneak you out of here and we head into the village." he said as he smiled at her.

Vera shook her head. "Sadly, I still think I'm sick Isaac..." she said and swung gently on the swing. "Can you go inside and bring me some orange juice?" she asked him and frowned as she put a hand to her head. "I feel light headed..." she added.

Isaac got worried when he heard her and picked her up into his arms. "we are both headed inside to get the jucie and then I am taking you to bed." he said as he looked at her and then started to head inside.

"Noooo! I don't want to be confined in my room...that's the worst thing about being the princess...people confine you to rooms." she muttered angrily.

Isaac chuckled when he heard her and shook his head, "try Being confined to a black room for years. It is worse and the only reason I am doing this is so that you can get better." he said to her softly, "I don't want you to be sick so I am trying to help you get better."

Vera sighed and gave in as she pouted. "I know..." she said and crossed her arms. Sadly she was crnky whenever she was sick. "Where's my orange juice?!" she asked him.

Isaac chuckled when he heard Vera, "dont worry, that is where we are going first." he said as he walked into the kitchen and smiled at her. He then gently sat her down in a chair and got her the juice. He set it down infront of her and smiled, "drink up."

Vera sighed and drank up all her juice quickly. "There. that feels much better. I was very thirsty you know." she said to him and began to play with her long blue hair. "What now?" she asked herself as she thought of stuff to do.

Isaac thought for a second and then smiled, "how about of we head to the castles library?" he said since it would be something to do.

"I thought you said I had to go to my room and rest?" she reminded him and smiled as she clasped her hands together. "I know, why don't we get some books to read and bring them to my room..." she suggested and smiled over at him.

Isaac smiled at her, "that sounds like a plan to me." he said as he stoodand then looked at her worried, "can you walk or do you want me to carry you again?" he asked since he wasntsure if she was still light headed.

"I think I'm fine...I still feel a little dizzy...but I think I can manage." she said as she hopped down from the chair and marched over to the library upstairs. "Do do do...." she sang as she marched up the stairs tiredly.

Isaac followed besides her and kept a eye on her, "if you feel like your very dizzy tell me. I will carry you." he said as he looked at her and hoped that she was okay.

"I'll be fine Isaac, thanks for your concern." she said to him. Soon they were at the library and she quickly went to her section of the libbrary. "These are my books along with mother's..." she said and grabbed one. "I'm currently reading this one. "The maiden's Rubies. It's by a french author." she said to him and handed it to him. "We should take some of these too...and these..." soon they had ten books to read. There were romance, fiction, and Mythology as well as historical books and books of roccoco art in them.
