Vera gasped and looked at the bird who landed on Isaac's shoulder. "How did you do that?!" she asked him surprised. She had never heard anyone do that before, and she tried it but she couldn't. "I guess you're born with the ability to do so." she said and looked around. "What should I teach to you now....hhmmm. How about restaurants?" she asked him. "Or...do you know what a restaurant is already?" she asked kindly as she began to swing by herself.

Isaac chuckled when he heard her tryng and then chirped somethingto the bird. The bird flew over to Vera and landed on her shoulder and started to chirp happily. "well when I was alone in my room with nothing to do I would listen to th outside word and when I heard a bird I practiced till I was able to chirp just like them. I could teach you." he said as he smiled at her and watched her swing. When he heard resturant he got a confused look, "what is that? I have never heard of such a place." he said as he looked at her.

Vera looked over at the bird then looked over at Isaac. "Really? well...I'd like to learn sometime...thanks." she said then continued to swing by herself. She swung for a while then slowly stopped herself. "Well...a restaurant is a building were people go to eat. You can choose anything that you would like to eat from a book like thing. Then they give it to you and at the end, they give you the bill with the amount of money that you have to pay." she explained to him and smiled as the bird flew away. "I haven't ever eaten at a restaurant before...maybe someday I will..." she said and smiled.

Isaac smiled at her, "well just tell me when and where you want me to teach you." he said as he looked at her and wondered how she would react if he told her that he spoke a few other languages that hardly anyone knew. He would tell her later and smiled as he listened to her. he was amazed by what a resturant was and wondered how anything like that could exist. He then looked at her, "then how about if one day me and you go and eat at a resturant, we both could expereiance eating there." he said as he smiled at her.

Vera listened to him and nodded smiling some. "I will....maybe tommorow in the gardens of the castle!" she said to him and giggled. Vera continued to listen to him and listened to his request and frowned as she shook her head. "No...sorry Isaac, but my father would never approve of that and we would both get in trouble." she said to him and sighed. "I don't want us to get in any trouble with my father." she said to him and frowned.

Isaac smiled and nodded, "okay sounds like a plan." he said as he looked at her and was glad that he had met such a wonderful friend like her. She was beautiful, kind and just amazing. As he thought this he felt something, he wasn't sure what it was but he liked it. He then frowned when he heard her and nodded, "your right, he wouldn't approve. " he said and then smiled at her, "but what if your father didn't know? we wouldn't get in trouble and we could have some fun." he said as he lookedat her.

Vera smiled. "Okay then...I'll be waiting after breakfast in the gardens." she said to him and looked at the sky as she listened to him speak. Vera was happy to have someone that she could call a friend...but sadly, friends never lasted too long. they always abandoned you when you most need them. I just hope you're not the same... she thought o herself and sighed. "Go to a restaurant without him knowing?" she repeated and thought about it for a while. "Well...we could try it..." she said to him and shrugged.

Isaac smiled at her, "okay then I will see you then." he said and couldn't wait to see her tomorrow morning. he would continue to be her firend and knew that he would never abandone her. She was his job and his only friend. "and if anythign goes wrong I will say it is my fault and I will take all the blame." he said as he looked at her. he dint' want her to get into to much trouble because of this.

"I'll be waiting." she said and noticed it was getting dark. "We should be going back home..." she said and listened to what he was saying as she hopped off the swing. "We'll share the blame..." she said to him and smiled as she began to walk back towards the castle. "I don't want father to kill you or anything..." she added quietly.

Isaac smiled at her and nodded, "okay then lets go." he said as he looked at her and smiled and loved the dark. He frowned when she said that she wanted to share the blame. He after a second he nodded and smiled at her, "your right, lets share it. I dont want to be dead since then it would mean losing the only person I care about." he said as he looked at her.

Vera smiled Kindly to Isaac and listened to what he said. She blushed at the last thing he said and quickly looked away to hide it. "I don't want you to die Isaac..." she said and blushed even darker. "Well...we should go." she said and began to walk away and towards the castle.

Isaac was surprised by what she had said and watched her walk for a little while. She didn't want him dead, she was the only one who did t and he couldn't help bit smile. He then walked after her and looked down at her. He caught a glimps of her face and saw she was blushing. It made her look cute and he could t stop looking at her, she was beautiful.

Vera continued to walk in silence to the castle. When they reached it, she yawned and looked around. "Where's father?" she asked herself as she walked around trying to find her father. She was tired and wanted to go to sleep, but wanted to let her father know before she left to sleep.

Isaac saw how tired Vera looked and as they walked he could already guess that her father was asleep. The servents where all calm since the king wasn't here to make sure that they where working. "he is sleep, Vera, you should probably go and sleep too." he as he took her hand and started to lead her towards her room.

Vera looked around at the servants and then sighed. "You think so?" she asked Isaac and followed him. "Well...I guess so...but if I go to sleep, what are you going to do?" she asked him. Vera thought a while. Was he going to watch over her as she slept? or was he going to go to sleep too? If he went to sleep...where would he sleep? These were the questions in her head and she needed an answer.

Isaac smiled at her, "yes I do think so." he said as he looked at her and continued to lead her to her room. But when she asked what he would do he had to think. After a few seconds he looked at her, "I dont know, I dont have a place to sleep yet so I guess I will be watching over you." he said as he looked at her and smiled.

They continued to walk to her room and she listened to what he said. They soon reached her room and she turned to face him. "Isaac...you should get some sleep though..." she said to him and opened the door to her room. "I'll ask father to getr you a nice room that way you can sleep." she said to him and smiled.

Isaac looked at her, "okay, tomorrow we get a room for me." he said and the ides of a actual room like the room Vera had was alittle surprising. He couldn't believe it and he was glad. He then smiled at her, "for now how about if I sleep on your floor." he said since then he would be able to watch over her and also get some sleep.

Vera listened to him and smiled. "Okay then....I accept the offer!" she said and giggled as she crawled into bed. Vera yawned and turned on her nightlight. "You can now turn off the lights..." she said and snuggled in the bed. A smile was on her face and she slowly fell to sleep.

Isaac smiled and nodded, "good night Vera." he said as he turned off the lights. He then layed down on the floor next to her bed and curled up into a ball. He then closed his eyes and was soon fast asleep. He was happy to fall asleep in a room that wasn't pitch black all the time.

Vera smiled in her sleep and dreamed that she was getting married with a prince. One that she didn't like and her father was smiling and she was now frowning in her sleep. She didn't want to say I do...but was forced to say it and they were married. Vera woke up and just stared at the dark room and turned to her nightlight. "Just a dream...." she whispered.

Isaacs head poped up when he heard her, "you okay?" he asked and his hair was a little crazy looking. But when he saw her face he got worryed. He stood up and sat down next to her, "you can talk to me about the dream if you want." he said and hoped it wasn't a very bad dream.

"I got married to the prince who is coming tomorrow!" she said to him and began to cry. "I don't want to get married to him! He is boring and ugly and only loves me for my money!" she added and buried her face in her hands. Vera was so nervous knowing that the prince would be coming tomorrow...she didn't want to get married to him. She knew that she would not love him if they did get married.

Isaac frowned when he heard her and wrapped a arm around her gently, "it is okay, your not going to get married to him." he said to her softly and gently stroked her head as she cried. "and if he trys anything I will stop him. I am your guard and I will even guard you from him." he said to her softly and kept her close to him.

Vera continued to cry and smiled some as she heard him. She looked up at him and tears were running down her cheeks. She just hoped that her father didn't wake up and see them like this. "You....you really would do that I-Isaac?" she said. "Thank-you..." she said and smiled some to him.
