~Plot~

I was thinking there is a two families, who are about to be joined together by a marriage, the problem is the boy/man who being forced to marry some girl wants his bodyguard. I figured it could be set in a world with different creatures and magically power, and if the two families aren't joined together then a threatening darkness will destory them all. Though there could be some twist were maybe the bodyguard is apart of the family the guy doesn't want to marry but no one knows that.
I want to be the bodyguard.

Name: Logan
Age: 19
Race: Human with mage/wizard powers
Bio: Logan doesn't remember much from his early childhood or who his family his. All he knows is his birthday and first name. He was taken in by a family who was kind enough to raise him through the years, and when they discovered his magic powers, they decided he would make the best bodyguard for their son, so they trained him to be the best servant and bodyguard.

~My Characters~

Name: Celsius Essylt
Age: Twenty
Race: Human with shape-shifting abilities. Is also rumored to have another ability...what that is isn't known.
Bio: Celsius was born into a noble family. He is an only child and is therefore a selfish young man who can be quite spoiled at times. He has never once shown interest in the opposite sex, or even the same sex. He's a very nonchalant, overconfident sort of person who rarely gets excited over anything. He has a bodyguard whom he spends most of his time with.

The sun peeking through the curtains was not a welcome sight in Celsius' eyes.

The man groaned, pulling the blankets up over his head, and muttered a long string of profanities under his breath. He was not a morning person. No, not in the least. The rest of his family, well...they were always up early. He, however, was not up early unless something important was happening that morning.

He vehemently shooed away his family's butler when he poked his head in and asked him to wake up...the same with one of the higher-up maids. Both of them had failed in their quest to wake him up. He was the hardest member of the family to rouse from bed.

They each tried one more time before giving up, and requesting the help of the spoiled young man's bodyguard. The two were very close, and hopefully Celsius would not as cold-hearted to his favorite companion.

Logan sighed and ran a hand threw his hair, as one of the maids and the butler begged him to wake up the young master. Really you'd think by now they would have learned to just send Logan in first, he always had better luck then them. Though today they were specially frantic, since his parents were demanding to speak with Celsius right away, though they hadn't told anyone that until mere moments ago. Logan left them and headed to Celsius room.

" Alright Little Master, time to get up, you've slept long enough and your parents wish to speak with you." He told him.

Logan waited for what he sure to be protests from the older man.

"Go away..." Celsius complained, barely awake. "And don't call me 'little'..."His glasses were on the nightstand, and his hair was all over the place. He wasn't even dressed yet. It was an amusing state to see a noble such as himself in. He had a problem with being called little, even though he cheerily took it as a pet name. He was an adult now and liked to be treated as such.

He turned away from Logan, muttering something about 'five more minutes' under his breath.

Logan muttered a few words and snapped his fingers, and watched as Celsius blanket and cover sheet floated in the air off of him. " Alright then Young Master, it's time for you to get up. Your parents are demanding to see you, and it's not wise to keep them waiting. " He said. He grabbed the bedding from the air, and placed it over a chair away from Celsius. " Now, will you be getting up." He said.

For someone who wanted to be treated like an adult, he still acted like a child when it came to getting up in the morning. Logan found it rather humorous. He stood there grinning.

Celsius growled at the loss of his blankets, and he sat up, groggily. His hair was very messy, and untamed. He usually had it that way, but attempted to keep it out of his face in a loose ponytail. He fumbled around aimlessly for his glasses, and then shoved them on his face once his fingers located them.

He didn't look too happy. "I'm going to do something very unpleasant to you later. I'll get you back," he promised him, idly, as he stood up. He tore through his wardrobe once he reached it. His threats were idle most of the time. He was someone who didn't take many things seriously.

Logan chuckled," I'll hold you to that." He said. Logan glanced around the room was Celsius changed and did his morning routine. Logan didn't watch the other dress. Though he did wonder what so urgent that they demanded Celsius up so quickly. His also wondered why they didn't bother to mention it to anyone until this morning.

After running a brush through his hair and teeth and tying his wild mane of violet hair up in a loose ponytail, Celsius sighed, rubbing at his eyes under his glasses. "All right, all right..." he grumbled, strolling over to his bodyguard, and best friend. "What's the big rush this morning? Somebody die? Another party to attend? A surprise breakfast?"

He was in such a lovely mood this morning. At least he wasn't unkind to Logan, like he was to most others who tried to wake him up. Sometimes it felt like he wasn't older than the other male...he didn't act his age most of the time.

" I have no idea. They haven't told anyone. All they demanded was that you be woken up, and brought to them as soon as possible. " Logan told him. Logan smiled," Alright, they are in the small dining room this time waiting for you" He said. Logan opened the door for him, and then led him there.

He noticed that the maid and butler from before standing in the hallway looking rather relived. Really he didn't understand why everyone seemed to be on such an edge this morning.

Celsius' grumbling started up once more as they started their trek to the dining room. He was annoyed with almost everything this morning--the maid, the butler, the temperature in the hallways, his parents, the sunlight...

He didn't say a single negative thing about Logan. He always treated Logan nicely. Some of the other servants said it was unfair treatment, but Celsius couldn't care less what they thought.

Logan was his favorite.

Logan chuckled slightly" Now come on everything is not that bad" He told him. Eventually they stood outside the door to where Celsius' parents were. One of the many butler's announced Celsius presence. Just as they both were going to stay in, they told Logan that he needed to stay outside while they talked with the son.

" Yes Ma'am" He said, before bowing slightly. The door was then shut, Logan moved over to the side of the door and waited for them to be done.

This discussion was probably meant to be long, and somewhat tedious. But Celsius was only in the ballroom for all of six minutes before voices began to raise.

He did not get along with his father. His mother, well...she was neutral to him. But his father...oh, no. They sparred all the time. This time, it sounded like even his mother was getting in on it.

Naturally, Celsius didn't bother staying any longer than he absolutely had to. He snapped a particularly vicious comment in his father's direction before leaving, bursting through the ballroom doors and rapidly making his way down the hall. He had his hands up over his face, like he was upset and trying to hide that fact.

Logan looked up as Celsius stormed off, out of the ballroom. That didn't take long at all. Logan followed after him," Hey what happened?" He asked quickly appearing at his side. He was clearly worried about him. He waited for the other to answer him. What ever they had told him, they clearly upset him.

Celsius stopped upon hearing Logan's voice, and leaned against the wall nearest to him. His arms were shaking just a bit, like he was quite upset. He dug in his pocket, where he'd crammed the official notice they'd given to him.

They'd arranged a marriage for him, to a girl from another prominent family that lived nearby. Celsius had always complained about marriages and how much he hated them. He'd never even attempted to court a girl in all his life.

Logan read over the note. His eyes went wide, noting he was clearly surprised. Some strange emotions squeezed at his heart in surprise. He wasn't sure what that was and for now he would have to ignore it. " This is a surprised, did they give you any reasoning for why they did this?" He asked him.

It was no wondered Celsius was surprised, no one, even some who never showed interested in anyone, whether male or female wanted to be forced to get married. Yet here was what they were doing to their own son.

"I don't care what their reasons are. I didn't stay to listen," Celsius informed him, his voice strained. He was still hiding his eyes from view, a sign that he was struggling not to bawl like the spoiled brat he was.

He cried once every three months, at least. Usually, tears came with extreme anger and depression...

He didn't want to be married off to some girl he didn't even know. He hated marriage, more than most things in the world. And besides...he already had his eye on someone...

" Then why not calm down and go back and ask, or maybe just have a private lunch with your mother and have her explain it to you. That way you won't already be on edge if your father was there" He told him.

Logan thought for a few moments, he wished he could comfort him, but standing in the hallway, if he did such a thing, rumors would spread through the house like a wildfire, and he would be in trouble with the lord and lady of the house. " Look let's go to your room, it'd be a better place to discuss this" He suggested softly.

"I'm not going near them. I can't." Celsius was already nearing his breaking point. If he went anywhere near either of his parents, especially now that his mother had raised his voice at him, there was going to be trouble.

"...My room sounds nice," he admitted, finally. He just wanted to be away from the ballroom, and he wanted the stares of nearby servants to not be on his form.

" Alright, alright, you don't have to." He told him. He listened to him speak," Alright, let's go to your room" He said. He led Celsius to him room. He glared at anyone who was staring at Celsius. Logan opened the door to Celsius' room and shut it after the both were inside. " Bit better?" He asked.

He always hated to see him so upset, it troubled him greatly. Most people who say he cared to much for someone who was just a bodyguard. Yet to Logan he didn't care, Celsius is he best friend and his only friend. All the other servants hated Logan, not that Celsius or his parents knew that.

Celsius sat down heavily on his bed, dropping his hands from his face. His eyes were wet, but there weren't any tears rolling down his face. He took his glasses off, finally, and set them on the nightstand to properly rub at his eyes.

"Damn it...no. No, I'm not better...I never will be..."

" I'm sure it's not that bad. The girl is probably nice." He told him. Logan moved over near him. He wanted to hug him and to make all the sadness go away. He looked at him so worried, while he didn't want Celsius to be married, part of him was sure it wouldn't be so bad for him.

"I don't want to be married to some stranger," Celsius growled, his voice a low and dangerous tone. It was meant to scare Logan away...but he probably knew him well enough to know that he really just wanted a hug and some comfort. He didn't have many friends...and Logan was his best friend.

Unbeknownst to the other male, he was also his current love interest. If anyone else found out about that, well...Celsius had a pretty solid idea of what would happen...

Within seconds, Logan pulled Celsius into his arms and hugged him. No matter how hard Celsius tried he wouldn't be able to scare Logan off. " Why not convince your parents, that maybe they should invite the girl hear so you can get to know her, that way she isn't a stranger" He suggested. Not that he wanted the girl here at all. He wouldn't tell anyone but he wanted Celsius to his self, and he knew the moment he was married he would go back to being just the bodyguard.

Celsius hesitated, and then clung to Logan rather unhappily. He was seeking comfort from the other male, and was hoping that wouldn't raise any red flags to anyone else who accidentally walked in on them.

"I don't want her over here. I don't want to be near her, and I don't want to even see her," Celsius stressed, his voice muffled by Logan's shoulder.
