Elly felt safe with his arm wrapped around her.She had no clue what tomorrow would bring but for right now she felt at home.'Ready to go home so soon?'Elly asked softly, staring up at Joseph as they walked towards they're cover up clothes.Or atleast shoes and shirts.Ellys heart beat was racing and thuding against her chest.She knew Joseph could feel her emotions and that only made it speed up more.They're bond was really something..something to be proud of.

"We can stay ou a bit longer." he said wnd then set her down before whistling loudly. There was a chorus of barks as Cerberus, much bigger, came bounding towards them. Stopping he wagged his tail and liked Elly. Nuzzling her the three headed dog yippee happily. "He missed you alot." Joseph said as he scratched one of the head's ears.

Elly bursted into giggles as Cerberus bounded towards them.It didn't take long for Elly to find herself being licked.Giggling, she pat each of Cerberus's heads and then glanced at Joseph.Geting a sly idea, she nudged her side with his and winked at him.Elly didn't know if the plan would work, but she gave it a shot and sat down in the sand.Mounding it up innocently, making it look like a sand castle.'We might as well play in the sand.I know Cerberus would like to dig some holes.'Elly said with unnatural innocence to her tone as she glanced at Cerberus.

Surprised at elly's sly little grin and 'innosent' voice he slowly sat down next to her. Cerberus seemed to take no heed as he began sniffing around and then began digging. Joseph watched Elly. doing his best not to narrow them in suspision. Who knew what that beautiful vampyer had planned.

Elly giggeled as she felt the suspision in Josephs stare.So, she simpley kept mounding up her little dirt hill.'Hey Joseph.'Elly remarked casually as she glanced over her shoulder at Joseph.'Why so surious? Come help make the sand castle.'Elly remarked gently, her eyes taking on a mysterious edge as her gaze remained glued to Joseph, waiting for his response.

Joseph smiled and nodded, giving up figuring out Elly's master plan. He then crawled over to her on the sand and began helping pile up the sand around her, keeping an eye on Cerberus as he sniffed around. Though he was a full grown dog now, he still had the curiousity and playfullness of a puppy.

Elly watched as Joseph joined in on making they're sand castle.She tried to keep her head clear but it had become so muffeled by other thoughts she forgot her 'master plan'.Elly kept her emotions botteled and refused to even think about everything.Bits and pieces of nights in that lab were slowly coming back to her.But as she sat there in the sand beside Joseph, something happend.Almost as if someone flipped a switch to turn her body off.She instantly stoped what she was doing and her eyes actully glitched.Red and blue glitching in her eyes as she stared, unblinking, unmoving at the sand pile before them.So im right then..I am changing..Elly thought to herself; more of a realization then anything.But as this happend, she quickly regained control.As this happend she simpley blinked, trying to make sense of what just happend to her..her body.

Joseph looked at Elly worriedly and was sabout to speak when he saw her eyes. "Elly?!" he said worriedly and hurried and reached up to her face. Holding her cheeks between both of his palms he looked into her eyes and searched her face worriedly. What had just happened to her? Stroking her cheek with his thumb he then pulled her to his body, his heart would have stopped if it hadn't already stopped. "Are you alright?" he asked worried, it was obvious he didn't want anything bad to happen to her anytime soon. ((Sorry short)) |
Elly blinked a few times.Why was Joseph freaking out?Elly knew her body had praticully frozen, but besides that, thats all she new.'What do you mean?'Elly questioned as she squirmed against Joseph.Trying to be comfortable.'I know I blanked out..but its not like I fainted or something.'Elly remarked lightly, as Joseph held her face, searching her face.What did she miss out on?Blinking a few times, her light brown eyes simpley stared into his.And her emotions didn't reflect in his eyes, for some reason she felt different.But one emotion they did share was worry.Something Elly couldn't help but feel because she knew what was to come.'Joseph, are you alright?'She asked.Elly was concerened about Joseph more then herself, concern that he might give himself a heart attack.Or something a long those lines.

"Your eyes...." he whispered shocked and then blinked at her completely confused. "Elly..." he started but then heard something he wasn't happy about. Scooping her up into his arms swiftly he whistled to Cerberus who swiftly bounded intorhe house, and Joseph set Elly down and streaked around the house until he growled as Cerberus growled. "Scientists." he said as he stood to the side of a window with his weapons belt on.

Elly remained silent as she was picked up and taken back inside.Although she couldn't help but chuckle as Joseph and Cerberus groweled at the same time.Did she feel amusment?Now she felt sickened by herself.Sighing softly, Elly ran a hand through her hair as she stared at Joseph.'Scientists?'Elly questioned softly, as she proped her head up on the palm of her hand, her elbow leaning against the table.Her soft light colored brown eyes spoke a thousand words.'Joseph..we're safe..you said so yourself.Maybe its just the virus they injected me with.'Elly remarked in a calm voice.For some reason she felt abit off.Elly felt dizzy and needy for blood.How was it before hand she didnt even want any?Elly brushed her hair back behind her ears, as she then crossed her arms on the table and laid her head down.Even I know im afraid.Elly thought to herself.She knew her thoughts weren't private around Joseph.But for some reason, she no longer cared what Joseph heard.Thats when the atmosphere in the room felt out of place.As if animosity was building in the air and it was all aimed in a general direction.Curiousity soon took over her senses and she closed her eyes, but that was a mistake.Because at that very moment, Elly shut down.For her it was like falling into one of those deep dreamless slumbers, but in all reality something was out of place.

Joseph stayed rigid and quiet as Elly spoke, making sure no one was coming close to their house. He then sighed softly and nodded. "You might be onto something-" he sstarted and gasped feeling her shut down. "Elly!" he said worriedly and in a flash of movement he was next to her and holding her in his arms. "Whats happening to you...?" he whispered completely worried at this point as he held her close to his chisled chest. "Ehat ddo I do?" he whispered to himself as he looked down at her beautiful face.

It didn't take long for Elly to become more then aware and sick and tired of this shutting down junk.The last thing she remebered was falling asleep at the table.Her body had shut down, but this did not mean her mind had done so.Utterly going mad, Elly focused on the one thing she could, the corporation.The scientist and it didn't take her long to catch on.Images formed in her mind, images all too familiar.'We found her and shut her down once again sir.'A mans voice spoke in a smug tone.'Good work Dr.Authenox.'A womans voice retroted.Unaware of the actions Elly was proceeding in, in taking, her mind slowly formed the image of her.Then, Dr.Authenox's head snapped in her direction a long with the woman.But that woman was the same woman who had broke her down, and sold her out.With a dazed, far away expression, she put her hand on a machine and everything shut down.Alarms went off and back up lights begun flashing rapidly as creatures beyond your wildest imagination were realeased.Dr.Authenox stood, but then her voice cut in.'We can get Elly later, for now lets focus on the big picture.'And at that moment, Ellys eyes fluttered open, and she gasped for air.Choking for breath, she had no idea what just happend.Did she really just shut they're machines down?Will they now die?See'ing Josephs face, she felt relaxed.Im back in my body..good..Elly thought more to herself rather then Joseph as her chest heaved.Why did her hands hurt so bad?Why was her head pulsing and why did she feel so weak?Ellys eyes darted from Josephs and rolled about, looking at the room.What did I just do?Elly questioned herself, the only thing she had enough strength to function was her eyes.

Joseph watched Elly worriedly and then hugged her close. "Elly..." he whispered, fear in his voice as he looked down at her. His bright green eyes swimming with fear and tears. He then kissed er head slowly and softly as she looked up at him. He was shaking as he held her and they were in their bedroom. "I thought I had lost you..." he whispered snd bowed his head over her, it was something he couldn't bare.

As time passed, she begun to calm down.Taking in her surroundings, she soon realiazed they were in they're bedroom.Instead of feeling stiff and dead, Elly reached up to carese Josephs cheek.But was greeted with burnt hands.'J-j-joseph!My hands!'Elly praticully screamed at the top of her lungs.Utterly baffeled she stared at her hands.Thats when fear kicked and adrenaline kicked in.Staring at her hands in astonishment, she felt the urge to get up and run..something, anything.So what she had done, it wasn't her imagination.She had really done it and those images had been real.Which meant those people were real..Fear suddenly turned into laughter as tears streaked her face.'I shut down they're systems!It wasn't my imagination!'Elly squiled.If she could, she'd throw her arms right around Joseph and she wouldn't let go.The tips of her fingers, and her palms had been burned.But somehow, the back of her hand remained untouched.At that moment, Elly could've just blocked out everything that happend and laid against Josephs chest, and take in the moment.But she hated seeing him cry.She was perfectly fine...why cry?So instead of using her hands, she simpley kissed his cheek.Through his tears, she could taste his fear and sadness.But they wouldn't get her..they'd just have to examine her and find out how they kept doing this.And luckly, Elly had a pretty good idea.

Joseph was shocked hearing Elly had burnt her hands and even farther shocked that she had shut down thenscientist's system. Moving swiftly he took her to the bathroom and gently began running Luke warm water over her fingers to help heal her burnts... She would have to drink his blood a bit later though to make sure she would heal completely. Looking at her with sadened eyes he nodded and let out a heavy breath. "Im glad you did it..." he whispered softly and cupped her cheeks, before kissing her forehead lovingly. He then did his best to keep a frown from his face as he watched the water run down her hands. He felt like he couldn't protect her, like she would just slip threw his fingers and be gone from his life forever. Seeing how many times this had happened already he was worried and angry. Very angry that he wasn't going to be able to help or protect her....

A nervous feeling welled up in the pit of her stomach.Joseph didn't appeal to be very happy.As he took her into the bathroom and ran some warm water over her hands, she almost yanked her hands out of the water and yoweled in pain.'Joseph..are you alright?'Elly asked nervously.She didn't want to see him mad or sad.All she wanted was for him to be happy..because thats what he deserved.'I'm sorry..'Elly mumbled helplessly as she felt like a broken play thing.What had she done?Yes, shut down the systems.But what about Joseph?Elly was about ready to just collapse and stare at the ceiling for hours on end.Just feeling Josephs hands on her own made her blush slightly.No matter what happend, whenever she was around Joseph her mind always went back to the day they first met.Elly didn't care that he was a assasin..or the simple fact that he had changed.That was the one thing she couldn't accept, because she was still so in love with him.The new him, and old him.Maybe a tickle war could make things better..Elly thought to herself.She was just too high off of what she did to really get her mind back into focus.

"I'm sorry, cold water will hurt worse..." he said gently as he kept her hands under the water, his eyes locked on her burnt hands. Then looking up when hearing her question he didn't answer right away. "Its not your fault." he said slowly and then shook his head. "I am the one who's at fault." he said softly to himself and then looked into her eyes for a second. "I'm very proud of you." he said sereanly as his eyes then looked back at her hands and his chest squeezed. I couldn't protect her from burning her hands like this... So what will I do if it isn't just a burn? What will I do when she's nearly dead when she comes out of that state again? If I can't protect her, what will happen?

Elly turned her head away from Joseph as she stared at her hands.Her chest squeezed, knowing now what was wrong.Her lips turned into a firm line across that beautiful face.Elly just kept staring at her hands as her entire body went numb.She hurt Joseph emotionally..Elly remained silent for quiet sometime.Until finally, she spoke up.Her eyes not meeting his or even taking in the fact that he was there.'Joseph..thank you for not being fake.'She murmured under her breath.It didn't shock her that Joseph still cared about her, even though she was changing everyday.Now her chest felt heavy as nervousness welled up in the pit of her stomach.She felt like she was going to through up at this point.'Listen..I-..'Ellys sentence broke off there as she tried to sum up the words.'I know that your afraid of something like this happening again, but to where ill be half way dead.But the thing is I wont die as long as I know your breathing and I have you to run back to.No matter what state of mind I go in, I wont cross that boundary line and I wont ever stray too far from you.Forever ill be by your side, no matter what im going through because I love you Joseph.Only you and theres nobody else.'As these words left her lips she couldn't stop herself.But as she spoke, tears begun to claw out of her eyes as though they were hands trying to reach out for some kind of help.But Ellys voice was clear and held no restrain in it what so ever.'I dont know why I do these things..if I would've fought the drouzy state of mind I wouldn't have done that but I wanted to see what I could do.I didn't do it intentionally..but I knew I wouldn't get hurt.Just..as long as your breathing I wont die, and you have to remember that even if we separate for even a few minutes.'Thats when Elly stoped speaking all together.Her eyes remained locked on her burnt hands as she remained unsensitive to her own emotions.The nervousness in her stomach finally drifted away, and the pukey feeling a long with it.But the tears just crawled out of her eyes, she couldn't stop it no matter what she said or did.One thing Elly had to accept is that she was in love and her heart finally belonged to someone.Elly couldn't explain why this scared her so..but it did.Falling in love..the entire concept left her speechless as she stood there, staring at her hands, knowing that Joseph was the only one who she'd come running back to.

Listening siletnly to Elly Joseph slowly looked up into that beautiful face that he loved and his own tears ran down his cheeks. Pulling her to look at him he sighed, crystal tears falling from his eyes as well. "It hurts me that I can't protect you... I feel like if I can't help protect you then things will go back to the way they were before I saved you from that lab..." he whispered and then let his forehead fall against her shoulder. "Things like this scare me, Elly. I feel the horrible lonelieness just thinking of you going back into that state. And if you were half dead and came back I would feel so at fault since I promised you those many years ago when we first kissed that I would protect you, and it kills me when I can't keep that promise to you..." he whispered, pain in his voice and handsome face. It looked like two angels crying as they confessed the streesed feelings.

Elly did the one thing she didn't think she'd ever do in such a time.But Josephs words had touched her heart.Once her eyes met his, she kissed his lips gently.As if it was a carees to put a young child at ease.'You won't be at fault.The only thing you'll ever be at fault for is the fact that im still alive.'Elly whispered against his soft lips.Pressing her forhead against his, she kept her eyes locked onto his.Why is my heart beating so fast?Elly thought to herself.It had been quiet sometime since Joseph made her feel this way..feel as though they're hearts were coming together as one like the first time they imprinted.If only I could touch his face..A sense of jealousy took over as she realized her hands were burnt and she couldn't lay a hand on him.So, she kept her arms wrapped around him and just took him in.The way his pain showed in his face, the way he stressed about how he felt and the way they both loved each other.So much.'I won't die Joseph.I won't die because I have given you everything, and Nyx will allow me to stay with you.Because if I die, I will take you with me..I cant be me without you.You're everything thats right in my life and nobody can take me away from you, and I know nobody can take you away from me.'Ellys voice then broke off as his eyes left her speechless.Infact she was actully geting lost in those eyes.Was that even possible?She found it hard to focus, hard to concentrate on what to say to make him feel better and show him that everything was alright.'Just trust me baby..nothing bad will happen.We'll make it through this together and come out on top because thats what we're best at.And as long as I have you, I have a reason to keep on trying.'As Elly poored her guts, she found herself wishing her fingers weren't burned.But the pain had gone away.It seemed being so close to Joseph gave her strength.Infact, being so close to him made a slight blush rise to her cheeks.The more she tried to hide it, the more she wished Joseph would just smile through the tears and see they were simpley meant to be.

As Elly's words cut threw the bitterness and saddness in his heart Joseph slowlysmiled threw the tears and leaned up, kissing her. She was still sitting on the sink and he was still holding her with love. "I trust you... With my whole entire being...I trust and love you." he whispered lovingly and with a slow loving movement kissed her forehead and then moved slowly, his kisses slowly getting more loving, as he bathed herT face in kisses. He poured his love into each kiss and made her feel it threw every loving kiss. "Love, take a bit of blood... It will heal your hands.." he whispered lovingly against her skin. He then moved with a blink of the eye and cut his neck, knowing that he wanted to feel her hands upon him.

Elly closed her eyes as Joseph kissed her face.His lips were so soft against her skin.The way his voice was so gentle yet cracked reminded her of the snow.After Joseph stoped kissing her face, thats when she heard his words and before she could get a word in, he had cut his neck.The scent of blood hit Elly so quickly she couldn't stop herself.Within that instant she pressed her lips against the cut and begun drinking some of his blood.Now nothing mattered, she already knew the burns would start to go away quickly but as she wrapped her arms around the small of his back her hands held his shoulders and her legs wrapped around him.How long had it been since she tasted Josephs blood?Days?Hours?Minutes?It still tasted like the first time.But something about his blood called out to her more.The taste was irresitable and Elly had no idea why.

Joseph gasped softly feelin the passion from Elly's lips against his skin. It was like electricity going threw his viens as she drank from him. It brought back memories from the very first time she had drank from him, the day they inmprinted. Sighing ever so softly as she wrapped her legs and arms around him he held her tightly against his body.

It didn't take long for Elly to have her fill.With drawing her lips from the nick of skin, she quickly sealed it off.Her hands were still clutching his shoulders as she forcefully kissed Joseph with a passion that had remained dorment.Elly refused to break off the kiss as he held her.She couldn't stop kissing Joseph even if she wanted to.His lips had become such an addictive drug.It was like a sinister obsession that could never be replaced.
