"I want to try all those," Gian said, looking obviously interested as he ate the brownies he had in his hands. He was a little surprised to see some on his side and he pushed the plate towards Alfie's way. "You can eat mine. I'm sure there's more later on."

The discomfort he saw on Shadow made him blink and he let out a whistle when he'd heard where he'd lived. "That sounds like a good life," he said before he'd crossed his arms on the counter and continued looking at Shadow. "How was it like?"

Kratos set the wheelchair and he put the bag by the bed. Looking at Léan, he motioned for him to come up and held out his hands so he could help him out of the tank, with much difficulty as always. "What do I do with your tail?" he asked, remembering it didn't stay still.

"Nah, you have some. We'll split 'em equally." It wasn't often that Alfie shared his food. Like Léan, Alfie could get very territorial over food and hated to share it with other people. If after a few days something he'd been eyeing up in the fridge or cabinets wasn't gone, he would take it for himself. It hinted that perhaps when he had lived with his mother they had not had much in the house...she couldn't have been working, in her sickly condition.

"It was nice...warm and beautiful," Shadow replied, scratching the back of his head absently. He had the idea quite a while ago to try and make their freak show a traveling one. But Léan was terribly opposed to that. The merman hated to change tanks--he hated traveling even more and oftentimes got physically sick if he was transported around too much. If he could be convinced...well, the possibilities were endless.

Léan hesitated only briefly before coming to the top of the tank and leaning over it just slightly. He didn't want to spill the tank. He'd done that in the past before--it had not been pretty. "...Tie it up somehow?" he suggested, suddenly looking concerned. If his tail was trussed up tightly enough it would resemble legs under a blanket, and it wouldn't be moving around so much.

Gian smiled at that and he took his share of the brownies to eat them. "Thanks," he said with a nod before he'd nudged the other's side a bit, "It's rare though, for you to be sharing something like this." The male was obviously teasing the naga and he couldn't help but grin in amusement. "You really like me that much, don't you?" he asked teasingly before he'd asked a more serious question, "So, what else did you bring with you?"

Hebs hummed thoughtfully. That did sound good and a traveling freak show would've had let them experience more. Honestly, Hebs though, too, that it'd be fun meeting different people and probably meet more humans like Gian who didn't mind their being a 'freak'. "It'd be nice if I could go there some day," he said in what looked like a dreamy state, "I'll bet it'd be fun."

Kratos took the merman and he managed to keep the tank from tilting with his foot. He held Léan against him and slowly set him down on the wheel chair. Looking into the bag, he was surprised to see a rope and he raised his eyebrows a little suspiciously. Shadow. What the hell was he thinking? Moving to where the merman was, he was about to touch the tail when he'd stopped and looked up at him from his crouching position. "Can I touch you?" he asked as he raised the rope a little, "Direct me on how to tie your tail." The male grunted. He was clueless. It can't be helped.

"Oi, I'm not the romantic type...so if things reach that point you'll probably know. As you know, I tend to be kind of blunt about those kinds of things..." Alfie flashed him a grin, making a little squeaking sound when his side was nudged before continuing with his share of brownies. He had sensitive sides. "Besides games, you mean? A notebook in case I want to write...an old Trivial Pursuit game, Pictionary...not much else. I don't get out much--gaming's kind of my thing..."

"...We could visit Itally all together. But that, as I've mentioned in the past, would require us to officially became a traveling freak show. I recall that we all voted on it, and we needed a unanimous vote. Léan was the only one who voted against it...I could not talk him out of it. Perhaps Kratos may have better luck?" The merman saw Shadow as a parent...a big brother, almost. A romantic interest might have a better chance trying to convince him...

"...You may, but kindly watch your fingers." Léan didn't really like having his tail touched, especially by someone he found very attractive. He didn't let Shadow touch his tail much because of the way he looked--it made him feel embarrassed and perhaps a little inwardly flirty. He shied away from those feelings. "Fold it up in half and point the ending fins downward...it should be easier to tie, then..."

Gian blinked. "What do you mean if things reach that point? What type are you anyway?" he asked as he frowned and leaned back on the foot of the bed. He rested his elbows on the said bed as he lifted up his knee while he turned to look at Alfie. The squeaking sound he'd let out when he'd nudged his side made him smile inwardly in amusement. He was definitely going to do that again. "And you write? Like a journal?"

Hebs sighed as he thought about it. Léan, of course. Slumping a little and spreading out his arms before him, he rested his chin on the counter and mumbled, "Then, our fate rests on Kratos' hand on that matter." The snake teen got back up to his feet and he looked out. The sun was high up in the sky. "Today's a nice day. You still going to go out and bathe under the sun?"

Kratos let out a short, "Ah, yeah," before he'd followed Léan's instructions carefully. When he was sure he had gotten it, after a lot of touching, caressing and some stroking, he had looked at it for a second or two and looked up at Léan. "Is that good enough?"

"The promiscuous type," Alfie admitted at once, that goofy grin on his face. He had no problem admitting that. he had never gone farther than simple kisses and gentle touches...but, of course, he would kiss anyone who asked him to do so. He didn't mind it. He had a feeling that human STDs and the like couldn't affect him...considering that down there, he was most certainly NOT human. "And yeah, kind of like a journal. Whenever I feel like venting or have a creative burst I write..."

"I believe I am going to...would you care to join me?" Shadow typically didn't like to be alone unless he was thinking in his room or upset. When he was upset, he would lock himself up in his room and listen to classical music...some of it repeated itself over and over...

Léan watched Kratos like a hawk. But no matter how much he touched him, the merman did not reprimand him...he just made sure he didn't touch him to the point of it getting uncomfortable. The tips of the split fins at the end of his tail were flicking back and forth, but it was not a noticeable movement since they were tied down. "It is."

Gian became silent when he'd heard Alfie's admission. He's heard of that type. He's just never encountered one. Though, the thought of Alfie being promiscuous made him wonder just how he'd be if he were human. A light flush spread lightly along the teen's cheeks and he let out a short, "Ah," before he'd scratched the back of his head. Unconsciously, Gian's brown eyes looked at Alfie from head to tail and he moved his gaze elsewhere as he thought silently. "So, you'll do it if someone asks you they want to?" Was that why Alfie seemed pretty relaxed kissing him a while ago?

Well, he could say the same so for himself. He had, after all, kissed Alfie, too. Deeply. That wouldn't pass off as normal now, would it?

Hebs grinned. "Sounds like a plan," he said with a nod, "I might catch some sea water, too, while I'm at it." Apparently, Hebs had already missed the ocean. "I'll meet you out. Got to change into swim shorts first." He'd do skinny dipping but he wouldn't want to freak the people who're out by the sea.

Kratos smiled softly when he'd heard Léan's words. That was good then. Slowly pushing himself up to get back up to his feet, he walked back to the bag to take the hat. Kratos handed this to Léan and he motioned to Léan's ear fins. "We won't be out long." He really didn't want Léan to dry out either.

Alfie frowned at him, in a pouty sort of manner, before snickering and flashing him a toothy smile. "Oh, no. No, I've never been touched like that in all my life--no siree. I've kissed people, sure...but I've never really been...touched, per se. I guess if it's casual I wouldn't mind going a tad bit farther with someone. But no one's really expressed any interest yet. I have a small social circle, understandably...the two grumpy people aren't available, obviously. Shadow told me he wouldn't--he wants me to find someone else before he'll even consider it. And Hebs is...well, Hebs."

Shadow had a fresh pair of trunks on. He'd been planning to go out to the beach sometime all day. So, he simply stripped out of his clothing save for the trunks, folded them and set them on the floor near the table, and headed outside. He wanted to take a dip first and then bask in the sun.

Léan did not seem happy about the hat. Hats filled his hair with static electricity...but they were necessary in public. He popped the hat on over his head, adjusted it, and then settled down more in the chair. "As long as we aren't out for more than ten hours, I will be fine."

Gian's frown couldn't have gone any deeper. His curiosity, too, seemed to have perked when he'd looked back down at Alfie's tail. "Well, I am," he said as he looked back at Alfie and raised his eyebrows a tad, "If I tell you I'm interested, would you go all the way with me?" He's, well, had sex before and he wouldn't mind having a go at it. Moving to push Alfie against the foot of the bed, he straddled the naga's hips and mumbled thoughtfully, "It's... been a while, though, and I've never really done it with another man... or snake, in your case."

Hebs had gone out with the sunscreen in his hand and a couple of towels and what looked like a blanket that would serve as a mat. He was, of course, wearing a shirt and his swimming trunks on. Sprinting over to where he saw Shadow swimming, he put the sunscreen with the other things he was bringing down to the sand before he'd taken off his shirt and got into the ocean to dive in and swim. Happily.

Kratos could see Léan's look of distaste and he shook his head. "Won't take that long." He assured the other with a nod and took the handles of the wheelchair to start wheeling Léan out just after he'd put the blanket on his lap and had added a shirt with it that the merman should wear. He can't exactly go out half naked.

((*shift for Gian and Alfie to somewhere else* :3))

Shadow waited for him near the rockier part of the beach. The rocks here were rough underwater and smooth around the top...perfect for sunbathing. He was leaning against the side of one, his arms on either side of his head. He looked almost unhealthy in the sunlight because of how pale he was. It was the same way with Léan because he was supposed to be underwater at all times...but the reasons for Shadow's paleness were different.

He glanced over when Hebs came closer, flashing him a brief smile. "Are you still willing to rub sunscreen on my back for me? I don't want to burn...though the peeling skin gives me something to do when I'm bored..."

Léan was more comfortable with the shirt on than the hat on...a shirt was like a blanket with sleeves to him as long as it wasn't uncomfortably tight or made of itchy material.

Hebs let out a short, "Oh!" before he could be seen swimming back out to the shore again. Apparently, the surprise had more impact on him than Shadow's handsome looks. It was the first time he hadn't stayed stunned at the man's beauty. He came back for the sunscreen, dove back into the ocean and then made his way to Shadow. Rising from the surface with his head tilted back, he ran his free hand through his hair and then put the sunscreen by Shadow's side.

"I can't have you going your mouth off, though, when you have a burn," he told him with a face as he noted the other's pale skin. It was far different from his own, which was rather scaly and green. Even his eyes were in slits compared to Shadow's appealing and charming pair. He hoisted himself up enough to have him crouch by Shadow's side and he took the sunscreen to pour quite an amount on the man's back.

"Tell me if it'll hurt, by the way. My hands aren't exactly... smooth." They were much like the underside of the snake. Soft but it still had that texture with it. He rubbed the lotion all over Shadow's back and gave him a little massage to let loose the tense muscles.

Kratos was careful to bring Léan down the stairs in the back, which led to the road. He started pushing him along the sidewalk while his gaze moved about every now and then to look around. The sun was scorching hot on his back but he paid it no mind as he hummed thoughtfully. "It doesn't look bad. This place."

Shadow was surprised by Hebs' sudden exclamation and he watched him shoot out to shore like a bullet with puzzled eyes. He understood, though, when he briefly scanned the other man's mind. He was smiling and composed again by the time Hebs returned.

"Ah, yes...I know I can be quite the diva when I'm in pain or ill. I am not a good patient...do you remember the last time I needed to be gassed for surgery...? I was terrible when I woke up from being gassed..." About a year ago, a drunken patron had started causing problems at one of their shows. Shadow had wrestled with him to kick him out...the man had had a knife and stabbed him in the gut. He'd needed stitches, but he was terrified of needles...so he had to be gassed in order for them to be able to get the stitches in.

Léan was glancing around rapidly in each and every direction, straining to hear everything that was going on around him. "...It isn't that bad. It's not crowded in this particular area." He could see an area ahead, quite a ways ahead though, that was packed with people.

Hebs made a face. "How the hell can I not remember that?" he asked as he sighed, "You made us all worried until you got out of the hospital, anyway." Once he was sure he got Shadow's back covered, he did the same with his arms and neck.

Kratos made a face when he'd seen the crowded place. He immediately stopped and turned the wheelchair around. It looked like he could only bring Léan to one particular place that wouldn't be crowded at all. That place by the cliff that Gian had gone to the day before. "We'll just hang out there," he told him, "I don't really like... people."

Shadow made a face in response to Hebs' face, though his eyes were now closed. That massage was doing wonders for the kinks in his shoulders... "You don't need to worry about me after a little cut like that. I've had worse. Much worse," he assured him, firmly. He didn't like making others worry over him...it made him feel bad.

Léan peeked up at Kratos, looking thankful. "...Neither do I. I suppose you have a few different reasons, however..." the merman mused, quietly.

Hebs raised his eyebrows a little and pressed a little at Shadow's tail bone before he slid his thumbs up while applying pressure. When he'd reached his shoulders, he spread out in a T of the sorts and tilted his head a little. "You couldn't have been gutted or something, have you?" he asked, blinking as he used the sea water to wash his hands off of the sun screen.

Kratos could hear what Léan had said and he only grunted in reply. He did. And, he really didn't want trouble. If anything, he hated having to kill anyone and have to revive them and live like living dolls. That's just... odd. Plus, he didn't want Shadow to get into any fights or trouble with him.

"...I've had my intestines fall out, and have to be sewn back in," Shadow elaborated, peering over his shoulder at Hebs and flashing him a pointed smirk. "I suppose that's close enough, hmm? That was also in a fight, if I remember correctly, with one of the freaks I first picked up. She and I did not get along. We never did the entire time we lived together..."

Léan let the silence drag on for just a little bit before he broke it, his curiosity eating away at him. "I don't recall Shadow packing the wheelchair. Did he find a new one here?" The suspicion was clear in his voice...there was just a hint of mild, timid curiosity.

Hebs made a face at that pointing smirk from Shadow. Somehow, the very thought of Shadow's intestines falling out of him and being sewn back in made the snake teen shudder with disgust. That didn't sound good at all. "It is," he said before he'd blinked, "How long ago was that? And, seriously? Someone hates you?" That came as quite a shock to him, really.

"Probably," he made a face as he said this, "It's possible. Anything's possible with him." Moving up the cliff and under the shade, he looked out into the horizon and felt his features soften as he looked about. It was definitely a beautiful sight.

((*brings Gian and Alfie back in*))

Alfie snickered. "Of course there's more than that...we just didn't go as far as we could have..." He paused. "Frankly, I kind of think we're both too tired to do anything more. How does a nap sound?" Alfie's tail was starting to uncoil itself from around Gian's chest.

Shadow's head lolled to the side slightly--Hebs had unknowingly struck a sweet spot on his left shoulder blade. "Mm...oh, yes, she hated me. Hated me to her dying day. I don't quite know why, either..."

Léan relaxed in the wheelchair as he stared out over the cliff and off into the horizon, calmed by the sight before him. "That is true." He didn't say anything else...the silence made the view that much more enjoyable for right now. He was quiet most of the time, anyway..."

Gian knew there was one for those of the opposite sex but the same sex? It made him curious but his curiosity just remained that. In his head. He heaved out a deep breath and laughed at Alfie's words. "Sounds good," he said before he'd relaxed even further now that the other's tail wasn't around his chest. He reached into his pocket for his handkerchief as he cleaned them up and he noted the mess on his shirt. He'll have to throw that away now. Taking off his own shirt and tossing it aside with the dirty handkerchief, he got off of Alfie to tuck himself back in and crashed onto the naga's bed.

"Can I sleep here?" he asked him as he slowly pushed himself up 'til he had his head on the pillows. He got on his side and curled up. It felt good. The bed felt good especially after what had just happened.

Hebs had noticed that loll of Shadow's head and he quirked up a brow as he smiled in amusement. He'll keep that in mind. Getting back into the sea when he'd seen people start to near them, he made sure the water was until just below his chin as he snickered. "She must have liked you. That's why she acted that way. Is that the time where you also were with your loved one?"

Kratos was quiet, too, and he put the stopper before he moved to sit beside the wheelchair. He enjoyed the scenery as much as the other did and he let his eyes slide shut as he took in the cool air that brushed past them. He should often come by here. Surely sleeping won't cause problems, right?

Alfie took note of the curious look that passed over Gian's face, but he didn't question him--he was exhausted and just wanted to curl up and sleep. So, he quickly joined his companion in bed, leaving little to no space between them and coiling his tail up around them loosely. "Of course you can sleep here...I hope you don't mind having the door unlocked, because I'm not going to get up and lock it. I'm pooped..."

"...I suppose she might have been jealous of him," Shadow amended, quietly. "Yes, she was there at the time when he was still with me." He did not continue. Talking about his lost love had always been a sore spot for him.

When the silence was finally broken, it was Léan who broke it. But...he didn't speak. Instead he sang...very softly. The singing of a siren such as himself was hypnotic...unintentionally seductive. Sirens were temptresses of the sea, well-known for luring sailors to their deaths...this of course was done unintentionally. He started out humming, perhaps to ease the awkward silence, and then after time it escalated into soft singing.

Gian only managed to let out a, "Mm," as a reply before he'd moved closer, leaving no space between them indeed to sling his arm around Alfie's waist. It wasn't the least bit surprising that Gian had already fallen asleep.

Hebs watched Shadow for a few seconds before he'd smiled slightly. "Well," he shrugged as he'd laid down on the water and floated about. He used the rocks to keep him around. "You do have a knack at charming everyone and anyone. I won't be surprised if she was, indeed, jealous of him." The snake teen let his eyes slide shut and he hummed a classical music, one of beethoven's last symphonies. After hearing it once when he'd passed by an opera house, he became enraptured by the music, even going as far as to occasionally listening through the walls of the said opera house back at their place.

Kratos can feel his heart go out with the music and he found himself smiling at Léan's voice caressing the wind as it passed by. He may have been hypnotized or lured into the seduction but he wasn't so sure. He was half dead so he supposed the other half of him that lived had fallen into that spell. He remained where he was though, his eyes now sliding shut a second time as he enjoyed the music from the merman.

Alfie shifted a little closer to Gian and settled down completely, letting out a soft, low hissing sound as he prepared to sleep. For some reason his bed seemed much more comfortable than it had the night before...and as such, he was asleep just a few moments after Gian...

Shadow glanced back towards him once he began to hum, a sort of nostalgic, hollow look in his eyes. Classical music, especially classical piano pieces, always drew his mind back to his lost love. He was fairly sure Hebs didn't know this, so it wasn't his fault that his humming was dredging up old memories. "...I don't know if she was or not. After he died I didn't speak to anyone for a little more than six months. So I did not talk to her about it."

When he had died, Shadow had shut himself off from the world. He wouldn't leave his room even for shows, so one of the other freaks would have to sub for him. He stopped speaking, and he even stopped eating. He would spend hours just sitting by his window and staring outside blankly...like he was waiting for something.

When Léan finished the song silence cropped up between them again. He sat up a little straighter, resisting the urge to rip the hat off of his head. Oh, how he hated hats. "...I just got the urge to sing," he murmured apologetically. "Sorry if it was irritating."

Hebs turned to look again at Shadow and he saw the other's hollow look in his eyes. He stopped for a moment and swam back to prop himself up on his elbows on the smooth rock. "You really loved him," was all he'd said before he'd smiled softly, "I always thought you weren't capable of it. It's nice to see you human once in a while." The snake teen broke out into a grin as he poked Shadow's cheek. "But it's really unusual."

Kratos looked back up when he'd heard the apology and he shook his head. "It's good," he assured him as he reached up to get the hat off of the merman. They were alone so there was no need for much of a disguise for now. "You sang beautifully as always."

Shadow twitched when his cheek was poked and managed a small smile before it disappeared. "I did, yes...I may seem like I have everything and can do anything, but I'm not perfect...I'm not a god of any kind..." He stretched slightly against the rocks and sighed, wondering what he should do next. He wanted to stay in the water, of course...but now that there were people nearby he didn't want his looks to get in the way of them having a good time.

Léan's ear-fins twitched thankfully once they were free and he sighed, reaching up to run a hand through his messy blonde hair. His cheeks colored a light crimson color at Kratos' comment--he hated blushing, but he wore it so well. "Thank you..."

Hebs, apparently, was feeling the same thing Shadow was. He was bored and he really didn't want to have to be made fun of by the kids should they see him and his snake skin. "Let's go take a walk," he suggested as he got back into the water and floated, "Does this place have a souvenirs shop?"

Kratos thought that, too. Léan wore the blush very well. He liked it. "And, you blush very nicely." Moving his gaze back to the horizon, he pulled up his knee to his chest and rested his chin on it as he tilted his head a little. It was nice, having to spend some alone time with the merman but he wasn't sure about what kind of topic to bring up. He really wasn't the type to talk, after all. And, he was sure Léan was the same. At least, that was how he'd viewed him.
