"And why not?" Shadow huffed, scowling a little. "It's probably true." He squeezed Hebs' hand again and sighed, tugging the other a little closer and resting his head against him. He closed his eyes, looking determined to get back to sleep. "If we can't get back to sleep, surely we can find something else to do to occupy our interests..." His tone was completely blank and left any and every possibility open. When he was being deliberately enigmatic, it was difficult to figure out what he was really feeling, or even what he really meant...
"...If...if you want. It doesn't feel bad, just...funny..." Those wings twitched again, very visibly. Alfie yawned in response to Gian's yawn and then frowned at him. "Beware. Yawning is contagious..." |
"Because even the rain listens," was Hebs quiet and amused reply before he'd shifted again in position to accommodate the other. The snake man played with the other's hair and he raised a brow at that suggestion. "Like what? Board games?" he asked, not really wanting to catch onto the 'openness' of the question. Shadow's being hard to read as always and Hebs really isn't in one of those moods to guess what it is.
"Pray tell, do suggest something that would interest us both." "Silly." Gian laughed as he managed to get over Alfie with the upper part of his body and get the phone so he could put it out and on top of the bedside table. "And, what's wrong about yawning?" The boy moved to have his chin resting on Alfie's chest while he returned to playing with the other's wings. It was fun. Teasing Alfie like this. |
"Well...we could always just talk. If there's anything that you want to know about me...that I didn't answer during our other game...I would be glad to talk about it." They were alone. He didn't mind talking to Hebs about it...after all, they were comfortable around each other...right?
"It's contagious. And I'd rather talk than yawn..." Alfie made a face when Gian continued to play with those wings of his. They were sensitive. Very sensitive. He twitched a little, fixing Gian with a curious, almost pleading stare. "Really...why do you want to play with my wings so much?" he demanded, pouting. |
"I suppose." The snake man was quiet for a few minutes before he'd started talking again. "What was it like being an angel? Did you start off like everyone else as a child or were you already like this, grown up and mature?" His voice seemed a little quiet, if not hesitant with the way he'd stated his questions. Hebs didn't particularly like prying, even moreso with anyone else's love life.
Gian grinned brightly at that pout he saw on Alfie. Stopping instantly with his playing of his wings, he pulled the naga into a long, light kiss before he'd smiled against his lips. "It's fun. Your reactions to it are fun." Teasing was something Gian obviously liked doing to Alfie; as long as he doesn't, well, get teased back at. |
"I was born an infant, as you humans are," Shadow replied, quietly. "We're born with higher IQs at birth than humans are. So, by the time we turn three, we can read, write, and speak up to four languages. We're meant to be intellectual creatures. We are...not meant to be very empathetic, though. Angels that are very emotional and human-like are typically looked down on. I was one of them. My sister...she wasn't. We mature at a younger age, as well. By the way..." he added, pointedly, "...you're not prying. I'm willing to talk."
Alfie pouted after Gian pulled away from their kiss. "Hmph. Maybe you'll like me teasing you, then, huh?" He lurched forward, playfully tickling Gian's sides. He was hoping to find a way to retaliate. But the touches that Gian had bestowed upon his wings were still affecting him--he had goosebumps. |
Hebs was impressed. Not that he should be. After all, this was a mythical creature he was talking to. "You were bullied then when you went to angel school?" Hebs didn't mean to tease the other even more but he couldn't help but try and lighten up their conversation. Letting the tips of his index finger run over Shadow's cheek, he smiled at his last words and leaned in to give him a light kiss. "But for you to talk, that'd mean me having to ask the right questions, right?"
Gian's eyes instantly widened when the naga had lurched forward and those hands of his went after his sides. It didn't take long, even a second, for Gian to burst out laughing. He was also trying to pry away those hands as he shook his head. "Th-This i-isn't... ahahaha... t-teasing... A-A-Alfie!" It was hard to conjure up sentences but he did and he did hope the other would stop tickling him because he never liked it when he was out of breath. He'd turn a dark shade of red. |
"I was bullied in school, yes. I had ideas that others considered strange...and thus, they considered me strange," Shadow murmured, leaning in to cuddle closely with Hebs and bury his face in the other male's neck. "You can ask whatever you wish. I don't think I can just talk freely on my own. I...I don't know what you want to know. And there are some things that might not come out if you don't dig for them."
He was obviously talking about Damon and other bits and pieces of his past. Alfie was not going to give up so easily. He tickled him for a few seconds and then pulled his hands back, snickering. "You look like a beet!" he declared, promptly. "That's a good look for you. Maybe you should keep it..." He stalked toward him again, arms outstretched and fingers wiggling as if he was going to tickle him again. |
Hebs blinked. He hadn't thought Shadow would be the type to let others bully him. When the other had cuddled close and had buried his face in his neck, he found himself getting rather protective as he snaked his arms around him. Tightly. "There's really no hurry," he told him as he kissed him lightly on the lips and smiled, "I could occasionally pop a question or two while we're doing something." Letting his fingers play with those soft strands, he rested his head back on the pillow and used his free hand to stroke the angel's soft and smooth cheek.
"The rain's getting even stronger." Gian had just managed to get himself to breathe when Alfie had let go of him and he was panting like a mad dog. "N-No more!" he whined as he reached out to grab ahold of Alfie's hands. The boy pouted and made a face. "Fine. I won't stroke your wings again." His face was still beet red and it honestly won't calm down whatever he did. "J-Just... stop tickling me, Alfiiiiiiie." |
"Mm..." Shadow seemed to like the tight embrace that Hebs had him in, as he curled up even closer to him. He reached one of his hands up and gently began to thread his fingers through the other male's snow white hair. He was feeling...especially touchy-feely today, despite it raining like crazy outside. His other hand, the free one, reached up to rest on Hebs' neck.
"Doing something, hmm?" he repeated, arching an eyebrow and letting a lazy grin spread across his face. His expression was obviously very suggestive... "Doing what, exactly?" Alfie snickered, tugging his hands gently out of Gian's grip. "Okay, okay! I don't mind if you touch my wings, but...it, ah..." He paused, contemplating whether or not it would do him good to be blunt in this situation. "...It kind of turns me on, in a way," he admitted, flatly. "Dunno why." |
Hebs had noticed that. Shadow being all touchy-feely in such a weather. Was he trying to do something else to keep his mind away from the rain? Blinking for a second or two when he'd heard the other's rather suggestive tone, his cheeks turned red and his lips turned to a straight line. He didn't like that grin at all. It teased him so. "This cuddling isn't enough for you?" he asked as he pulled lightly at Shadow's ear. It honestly felt good when the fallen angel's fingers ran through his hair. He'd even unconsciously leaned his head a little towards the other's touch - a silent invitation for the fallen angel to keep doing what he was doing.
"With the question you're asking; you're wanting something to happen." Gian let Alfie take those hands of his back and finally relaxed as he raised his eyebrows in surprise. Turns him on? "Wow, uh..." The boy stopped for a second or two and grinned sheepishly, "Do you want me to get rid of something?" he asked, offering to help the other should he have a problem with, well, something that can't be mentioned in detail. [[ Shadow teases a lot? o = ]] |
Shadow's fingers continued to stroke Hebs' hair, and that grin widened a little bit. "Mm. I like cuddling, of course," he purred, softly. His free hand rested up on Hebs' cheek. "I simply wouldn't mind doing something else..." He didn't seem to mind his ear being pulled like that--in fact, he snickered a little and leaned in to nip playfully at Hebs' neck. He was obviously trying to distract himself from the rain pounding down outside. And, well...he really was promiscuous.
"Er..." Alfie went red, seeming uncertain. "I guess...if...you want to, we can. It's not a big problem, it...it didn't get that far." It seemed like Alfie wouldn't mind having Gian lavish attention on him. Things hadn't had a chance to get out of hand--Gian had stopped in time. |
Hebs made a face when the other had snickered a little but that look on his face disappeared just as he'd felt that playful nip to his neck. "And that something else, I assume, would involve this?" he asked, just as playfully, while his knee raised a bit in between Shadow's legs. The fingers that were threading through Shadow's hair had taken a few strands to tug at them a little before he'd tilted his head a bit to catch those lips for a light kiss.
"Oh," Gian started. He wasn't quite sure if he was disappointed or not. Rubbing the side of his neck, he returned to snuggling up against Alfie and playing a little with his wings. "Not really. This rain's making me lazy. Did you want to do it?" [[ Not quite sure how to proceed. Shall we move to emails? That is, if something were to happen between either of them. ]] |
((E-mails work for me. Tell me your e-mail and I'll e-mail my post to you. :D))
|
There was, indeed, not much else to do that day until the afternoon. Hebs stirred awake at the sounds of the birds probably migrating off after the rain. He stretched out his legs and unconsciously tightened his hold on Shadow. "Mm..." Honestly speaking, he didn't want to get up but he needed to cook them all dinner and lure out Blake. Maybe he might even have Gian call Johnny to come over so they could all talk about what was going to happen later on and their visit at the villa. He ran his fingers through Shadow's hair and kissed the other's forehead. "I need to cook dinner after a bath. Do you want to come with?"
Gian was just about to turn on his back when the action brought pain shooting up his spine. Grunting as he slowly went back to his position where he was half laying on Alfie, he let out a quiet sigh and looked out the window. It was probably well past five in the afternoon. Idly, he wondered if the others were already awake. Kratos was awake since the early afternoon but the heat made him stay in his bed. That, and he really didn't want to wake Léan from his slumber. His fingers simply continued to run through those strands, stroke the other's smooth skin, just a little over his shoulder, and the other's jaw while he watched him sleep. His defenses were down, apparently, and there was a gentle look in his features that would've had told anyone of - not only his fascination - but his great liking to this fine and beautiful creature. If only, though, he could touch him without worrying about losing control of his powers; maybe then, he would've been bolder about his actions. I wonder if dinner's ready. He was rather hungry himself even though his stomach didn't make any, well, sounds to verbalize it. |
Shadow grunted softly, stirred out of his sleep when Hebs started to shift around. Like the other male, he didn't particularly want to get up. But he knew it had to be done--his stomach was grumbling. Their family needed dinner, and...things needed to be settled. They were in for a long talk at the dinner table. "I will join you...but we should make it short. Our family is less pleasant when they're hungry," he reminded Hebs, yawning.
Alfie jolted out of sleep when Gian began to stir, shifting his position at first but then quickly returning to his original position. His sleepy mind suddenly cleared its haze--the human was in pain. Frowning, Alfie raised one of his arms up and laid it heavily on top of Gian. "Hey. Are you hurting...?" he asked, softly. Léan had slept most of the day, relaxing with the sound of the rain falling on the roof. However, he slowly slid out of his deep sleep in favor of stretching out and peering up sleepily at Kratos. He shifted a bit to roll closer to his human companion, resting his head against his chest. "Is it time for dinner...?" he wondered, absently, as he laid there. "I'm hungry." He didn't know what time it was. Just that his stomach was demanding to be fed. |
Hebs smiled. "I don't plan on doing anything in the bathroom. Just a quick bath is all." Patting Shadow's back lightly, he started to sit up and stretched out his arms over his head. "Let's hurry then." With that said, he went on ahead to the bathroom to turn on the water and put it at a right temperature - one that would certainly favor the fallen angel. After all, he had prepared their baths before. And those were the times when he couldn't say no.
As he'd promised, too, he was quick in the bath even as he'd helped Shadow. There was no way he was going to let Shadow bathe alone. He had, well, done things that can't exactly be mentioned in detail. Gian nodded and made a face. "I feel like an old man," he said, giving a little chuckle as he turned to look at Alfie. "And I don't think I can join you guys for dinner on the table. Could you tell Hebs that for me?" He was sure Hebs would know something. Or Shadow, for this matter. Crossing his arms under his head, he could feel the cold air brushing on his bare skin. "Cover me up, too. If you could..." Apparently, he didn't know what to do after the sharing of, well, skinship. Kratos blinked for a while before he'd smiled in amusement. "I don't know. I don't smell food." Sliding his hand down on the other's waist, he was hesitant to pull away. "I'll check, maybe." But, he did. He had to, after all. |
Shadow, like Hebs, was quick in the bathtub. He couldn't even be bothered to hold a good conversation with Hebs while he bathed, as he just wanted to get up and get out of there. He was hungry, and he was actually quite eager to get talking with the rest of his family about the events lurking in the near future. Particularly, the visit to his villa in Austria. He assumed, now, that everyone would want to go and that Johnny could stay back with Blake...but they had to talk to Johnny about that.
He was so consumed with his thoughts about these issues that he almost tripped upon getting out of the bathtub and almost fell flat on his face. Alfie frowned, suddenly looking like he felt extremely guilty. "...Hang on." Alfie slid out of bed and disappeared for a moment into his bathroom. He returned a few moments later with a bottle clasped in his hand. "Really strong pain medication. Here. Take three of these and see if you feel better." The naga didn't want Gian to hurt because of him...it made him feel awful. Léan seemed to sense that Kratos didn't want to leave. He reached out to place a hand on his neck, gently. "I suppose...if dinner is made, someone will come to fetch us," he pointed out, slowly. "So we can stay here a while, yes?" |
Hebs was quick to catch Shadow when he'd lost his balance and he couldn't help but smile in amusement. "I know thinking is your forte," he started as he grabbed the towel over his shoulder. He had just left for a moment to get Shadow a towel until that had happened. "But, please. Do that when you're sitting down or simply standing without having to move around." The snake man wiped the fallen angel dry and loosely put this around his waist.
Of course, Hebs helped Shadow dress up while he, on the other hand, wore the clothes he'd worn the day before. It's not like he could march out of here naked when there was a possibility that the other freaks were already awake and were walking down the hallway. Gian had seen the guilt on Alfie's face and he honestly found that cute. There was no need for the other to feel bad, though. He enjoyed the events that conspired not very long ago as much as he did. Taking the bottle and quickly swallowing three pills all in one go without water, he shut the lid and waited for the medication to work on him. "Does it always hurt like this all the time?" he asked as he turned to look up at Alfie, "Shadow sure doesn't show it." Kratos was quite glad that Léan had stopped him. But, that, all in all, made him embarrassed. "We can," he said in a low voice as he possessively wrapped his arms around the merman. "You don't need to be in water, do you?" Sure, he'd just had Léan soak in the tub but he couldn't be too sure if he could keep him out so long. After all, the other wasn't human. |
Shadow frowned at Hebs' comment, quite obviously pouting. "It was just a little stumble. I can think and do something else at the same time. I'm not crippled," he replied, in a playful huff, as they worked on dressing themselves. Shadow selected simple white clothes for himself. He wore a lot of dark colors, so it was actually refreshing to see him all decked out in white. While wearing white, he really did resemble an angelic figure...this was probably the reason why he didn't really like wearing white.
"Well...Shadow claimed it only really hurts the first time. Then, it gets better. I hope he's right about that. Because...I'd certainly like to do that again sometime." Alfie flashed Gian a pointed look, and then he grinned. "Just tell me when your pain goes away. Then we can head out and see if Hebs and Shadow are making food..." Léan shook his head, cuddling close against Kratos. "I'll be fine. I'll need to head into the water at night for a while, perhaps. But I'm all right, now." |
Hebs chuckled at Shadow's reply and his playful huff. As he worked on his pants, he couldn't help but think that how Shadow was acting was pretty cute. The snake man bent down to get his shirt and he slipped it on. Just as he was about to open his mouth to tell Shadow something, he was stopped short at the sight he'd seen. "So that's why you don't like white," he started before he'd laughed, "And, you're right. It doesn't fit you."
Of course, Hebs was being playful, and he leaned in to press a chaste kiss onto the fallen angel's lips. "Come on." The snake man headed for the door and looked back at Shadow. "I'll be needing the master's help to make dinner for everyone on time." Gian blinked at Alfie's reply and groaned. "So we have to do this a couple more times before I can get to do it to you?" he asked with a slight pout before he'd sighed and mumbled, "Not that I mind..." He did want to try it out with Alfie, though, and feel what Alfie felt. Also, he wanted Alfie to feel what he felt. "Hey. Come over here for a while." The boy patted the space on the bed and motioned for him to duck his head closer so he could capture his lips for a long, lingering kiss. It wasn't going to make them full but he just had the urge to kiss Alfie and then grin right after. "I'm not letting you have all the fun, by the way." Kratos noted that and nodded. "All right." He'll make sure to remember that. Hell, he might even get himself a blanket so he could sleep over at Léan's tent. His fingers moved up to run through the merman's hair while he let his eyes slide shut for a moment - just to rest them while he relished the feeling of being close to the one creature he's been admiring and dreaming to be with ever since he'd arrived in this community. |
"White has never truly suited me," Shadow mused, peering down at his outfit. He couldn't be bothered to search for more clothes, so white would have to do right now. He slipped a pair of black socks on, hopefully offsetting some of the effect that the white had on his overall appearance. He tailed along after Hebs, his shoeless feet making soft pattering noises on the ground.
He seemed to be deep in thought again...but he stuck close to Hebs so he could lose himself in his thoughts and not have to worry about falling. "Well, no--the next time, I can bottom. But...we should try to do it often so, ah...so it doesn't hurt as much to stretch out..." Alfie muttered, awkwardly. That wonderful kiss actually caught Alfie off-guard, and the naga curled up against Gian, absently wrapping his tail around the other's legs. He seemed to feel much more at ease, and much more romantic, around Gian now. It was a good sign, indicating that there was a chance for their relationship to progress even further. Léan seemed at ease with Kratos...but even so, it was clear to see that he hadn't completely let his guard down, yet. He slid his arms up and around the human, peering off into the distance. He seemed to be in a good mood today, even if he was still a little on-edge. |
Hebs had to disagree with that, though. Shadow looked good in white. It's just that... he didn't think it fits his current image. But, he made no mention of it and left Shadow to his thoughts. There was no reason for him to bother him. He just made sure the other didn't fall as he ran his fingers through his wavy hair.
"How often?" Gian asked teasingly before he'd chuckled and smiled at the other. He liked the feeling of that tail wrapping around his legs and he shifted a little. To his surprise, the medicine actually worked. It looked like three was going to help him get through the night and hopefully one on each day 'til he recovers. "You wanna get up or stay?" he asked as he leaned close again to nip playfully at the naga's lower lip. Kratos shifted a little with the other in his arms and leaned back against the wall. His jaw rested lightly on the merman's head and he uttered a short, "I hear them walking to the kitchen." Tilting his head a bit, he looked down at him. "Do you want to go?" |
Shadow, once they were in the kitchen, absently began to poke around to see what Italian ingredients they had in the cupboards. Blake loved Italian hoagies, and that was their best bet to lure him out into having a nice family dinner. He didn't typically cook meals, so he didn't know how Hebs had arranged everything in the kitchen.
"Once or twice a day, until we get used to it. Again, more advice from Shadow. He doesn't beat around the bush while explaining things..." Alfie grinned, sheepishly, and patted his arm, affectionately. "I think we should get up, as well..." he added, after returning that playful lip nip. "Food will most likely be ready soon." Léan sighed softly, and then he nodded. "Very well," he agreed, wrapping his arms up and around Kratos' neck. "Let's go. I am hungry, after all..." |
Hebs knew what Shadow was looking for and he pulled out the needed utensils and cooking materials. "The far end cupboard," he told him as he turned to glance at him, "Open it slowly, though, if you don't want to end up picking up the ingredients from the floor." Sometimes, they had too many; it was always best to have more food in store just in case something were to happen, after all. At least, that was how Hebs had handled the kitchen ever since he was given the responsibility to cook and clean.
Gian whistled. "Wow. We'd be like wild rabbits." The simile was used simply because that was the only animal he'd heard often in the classroom when it came down to that. The boy's cheeks were slightly flushed from just imagining it and shook his head to clear it up before he'd slowly gotten up to his knees. Of course, he wasn't the least bit ashamed, being bare naked and all. "Could you help me dress up?" he asked, frowning when he'd noted the strain in his back. He wasn't going to push his body, not when he didn't know why the hell that was happening. The pain was gone, all right, but without the pain medication, he was sure he'd be mush on the floor and not want to move at all. Kratos idly wondered what that soft sigh was for but he brushed it aside as he slowly carried the other up into his arms. He got up to his feet, of course, and headed for the door. He was out in a matter of seconds and was in the dining room. Setting the merman down onto his lap, he noted the empty table and made a face. So, food wasn't ready after all. Was it going to take long? |
"Thank you." Shadow retrieved the remaining ingredients at once, bringing them to the ingredients that Hebs had already laid out. He wasted no time in silently assigning duties to each of them, and he began to work on his part of the cooking. He was going to prepare them, putting in the proper amounts of ingredients, and he was going to let Hebs cook them. It would go more quickly this way, and everyone would have food to eat in less time.
"I guess so, yeah." Alfie suddenly looked embarrassed again. "But once we get used to it, there won't be a whole lot of pain anymore," he added, as if trying to brighten the situation. "So, it'll be much easier. And probably feel a whole lot better..." He paused, noticing that Gian was trying not to strain his body too much, and then he hurried off to fetch the discarded clothing on the ground, sliding the shirt and pants on over his head. He figured that at this point, it would be better to wear less clothing, so he left the boxers alone for now. "Let's go and eat, shall we?" Léan occupied himself, while waiting for food to arrive, with brushing those long, gentle fingers of his over the visible veins on Kratos' neck. He had the gentlest of touches, strange considering how he was brought up and how much roughness he'd seen in his life. |
