Hebs looked surprised. He'd almost missed what Shadow had said, seeing as his attention was focused mainly on the roads before him. The smell of salt water sea was filling the air and Hebs somehow found it a little irritating. It irritated his nostrils and honestly, he was already regretting not bringing a mask. Though he'd be fine if they had rolled the windows up and had used the aircon, the car had decided to be bad. They had to roll the windows down.

Bringing the car to the side and to a halt, he opened the door to his side and turned off the engine after pulling up the break. "All right," he said as he got out of the car. Shutting the door beside him, he slid the key into his pocket and rubbed his nose a bit. "Do you want to go ahead or do you want me to?" He was already getting ready to hop over the guardrail.

Mira-Charma13 10-23-2011 11:54 AM

"I think it would be best if I went first..." Shadow, after all, had a better chance of overpowering Rousel if the larger male grabbed him than Hebs did. Deftly, Shadow hopped out of the passenger's seat and hopped over the guardrail, landing on the rocky ground on the other side. He headed straight for the water, but stopped a good distance away. He was patrolling the length of the area, which had a tall, distinctive rock carved in the shape of an anchor a long time ago by a long-gone artist sitting right by the sea.

Rousel loved shallow tide pools. It was where Shadow was searching for him and hoping to find him.

Sure enough, near the far end of the small rocky outcrop was a rather deep tide pool separate from the rest of the water. It dipped down beneath the rocks and formed a large cave. Peering down and squinting, he was able to make out the entrance to the cave.

"I think he's down there. Hebs..." He turned toward his companion. "Could you fetch the small box I brought along? The one with a few of Léan's scales in it..." Even if Rousel knew nothing about Arcturus, he could use some of his older spells to try and locate him beneath the waves as long as he had some of his DNA. If they were twins, they had very similar DNA...

He had turned his back on the little tide pool. He knew that Rousel was going to take advantage of this at some point, if Hebs didn't return quickly enough. But...it would also lure him out. He was leery around new people...and he wasn't coming about because he knew Hebs was there.

harakun 10-23-2011 12:01 PM

Hebs blinked and nodded. He followed after Shadow when he was about a meter ahead and raised his eyebrows a little when he'd seen that said tide pool. It surprised him. "Eh? Ah, sure." Moving back and walking rather briskly towards the guardrail they just jumped over, he did just that again and opened the car door. He'd left it open since there seemed to be no other cars parked with them. There was no need to be cautious with the thought of their car being stolen.

Grabbing the box and shutting the door, he hopped over the rail the third time that day and walked over to where he'd left Shadow.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 02:20 AM

As soon as Hebs was far enough away, Shadow quickly turned and backed away from the tide pool. He seemed to know that this would spur the big siren on. And sure enough, it did. The still surface of the tide pool's dark water began to ripple. Then, quite suddenly, a head popped out from beneath the water.

From this view--from the neck up--it wasn't easy to tell just how big Rousel was. He had very dark skin...a light chocolate color, and dark, velvety green eyes. His hair was long and pitch-black, tied in a small, loose ponytail near the back of his neck. He stared up at Shadow before his eyes flickered to Hebs, warily. He wasn't his usual self--the self that Shadow had described him as. Was he intimidated by Hebs? Well, surely he'd never seen a human that looked like Hebs before.

"He is not a threat," Shadow informed him, matter-of-factly, as he backed up a little more. "Come out, Rousel. We need to speak face-to-face."

As per Shadow's request, the large creature reached up and placed his hands on the rock on either side of the small pool. He began to slowly lift himself out. As he did so, more appendages came up to assist him--at least eight huge, thick, octopus-like tentacles that seemed to be much stronger than his arms. With the help of those, he was able to hoist himself up easily out of the pool and rest beside it, his many lower limbs curling and uncurling beneath him. He looked like a big, terrifying kraken. He was taller than Shadow by nearly a foot.

It was no wonder that Shadow was a little leery of him. For now, Rousel didn't say anything. He had his eyes, now curious, on Hebs. Was he waiting for him to speak first?

harakun 10-24-2011 09:53 AM

Is that... Rousel? From his point of view, he didn't seem at all too bad. At least, with his head peeking from the surface of the water, that was what he'd thought. "Ah." But, when he'd seen him as a whole, surprise was evident onto his features. He was even too stunned to try and brush the strands of hair that fell over his eyes. That surprise, though, ebbed away as he felt the other's eyes on him.

Hebs supposed this was the part where he was to ease the half-man and half-octopus' wariness of him. "Hello, Rousel," he started with a gentle smile, hoping to have pronounced the other's name right. After all, he didn't want to leave a bad, first impression. "I've heard much about you from Shadow. It's finally a pleasure meeting you." Handing the box to Shadow, he turned his attention to him and raised his eyebrows a little. "Is this the right box?"

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 10:07 AM

Rousel noticed Hebs staring profusely at him. His expression changed in an instant. He stayed put, as Shadow was fixing him with a stony stare, but he chuckled softly, a grin on his face. He said nothing. But, a big, cheeky grin was now in place on his face.

"Well, hey. Forgive me, I'm not that social." He gave a loud sniff and focused his attention on the box in Hebs' hands. Shadow reached out to gently take it from the younger male, nodding. "Yes, this is the right box. Here, Rousel." The fallen angel leaned forward, holding out the box to the much larger male. He did this very cautiously. Rousel picked up on his caution and cast a glance in Hebs' direction. He decided it wasn't worth it to do anything.

For now.

He took the box, popping it open to take a sniff of the scales. Of course, merpeople were very sensitive to the smell of others of their kind. He paused, arching an eyebrow. "...I believe I've actually smelled this scent before. But not for a long time," Rousel informed Shadow idly. "I think the one you're seeking has been captured and put into captivity."

That wasn't a good sign.

harakun 10-24-2011 10:37 AM

Hebs blinked at that instant change of expression. He hadn't expected it. This octopus man, he sure was full of surprises. It had him looking rather embarrassed for thinking differently. When he'd seen what Rousel was doing, though, and then heard what he had to say, his eyes widened. "Captured?" he asked, looking rather worried. There went his being a mother hen. What... happened? And, by who?"

There seemed to be relief, too, within him when Rousel hadn't done anything to Shadow. He, after all, wouldn't want to get rough with him considering he looked awfully bigger. That, and he wouldn't want to burden Shadow. There could be a possibility of him getting hurt and not the other way around.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 10:43 AM

"There are human beings who hunt our kind," Rousel explained absently as he closed the box and held it out to Shadow. Shadow took it, not daring to leave and take it back to their vehicle. No way he was leaving Hebs alone with the large male. "They track us. Set out nets. Use tranquilizer darts. They pack them in tiny tanks and sell them on the black market to select buyers...for tons of money. This is probably what happened to the merman you already have with you, I'd think. And it probably happened the same way for his brother."

He stretched himself out. Those tentacles of his seemed to have a life of their own, constantly twisting, turning, and uncurling beneath him. It was a bit unsettling to watch...at least, in Shadow's opinion. "If you want to find him, infiltrate the black market. If he's not there...he's already been sold to a private home. You'll have a much harder time finding him, if that's the case. You might need police or legal help to find him."

Shadow held the box out to Hebs, silently indicating for him to take it back to their car. He wanted to ask Rousel again if it was possible for him to want to join their family.

harakun 10-24-2011 10:54 AM

Hebs, apparently, was uncomfortable with the bluntness of Rousel's words. It pierced his heart knowing that such people existed. Both with greed and lust. He was unable to keep himself from bringing up a hand to rub his chest lightly. There was that tightness in his chest; the unbearable feeling of worry clouding his every being. Would they be able to find Arcturus in the black market? Even then, wouldn't that mean having to 'look' the part of the thug? At least, that was what he'd seen and noticed in the movies he'd watched.

And, as for legal help... would Johnny be willing to extend his services to them?

Snapping out of his thoughts upon seeing the box held out to him, he turned to look at Shadow again and took the said box with the hand that he'd used to rub his chest. "I'll wait for you in the car." Hebs looked back at Rousel and he'd smiled at him. It was quite the smile that other people would've had thought was eerie. Stepping back and turning around, the snake man retraced his steps to head back to the car.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 11:04 AM

Shadow waited until Hebs was out of earshot before he began to speak to Rousel. The big man took a while to warm up to people, typically. He was a loner who wasn't used to having a lot of social contact. Now that Hebs wasn't nearby, Rousel spoke a lot more confidently. They spoke for about seven whole minutes together, and once they did erupt into unhappy shouting and arguing. Rousel was not afraid of Shadow, not one bit, and if Shadow hadn't said something to foster peace, Rousel might have gotten violent. He had been making threatening advances before Shadow calmed him down.

Eventually, though, Shadow returned to their car. Lagging behind him, traversing slowly on the slippery rocks, was Rousel. It seemed that Shadow had managed to convince him.

Shadow slid into the passenger seat, but not before popping the trunk so Rousel could get in. "He's agreed to come and see how it is back home..." he revealed, looking pleased. A creature as unique as Rousel would draw in tons of new customers.

harakun 10-24-2011 11:34 AM

Hebs was almost about to rush off to the two and stop their bickering before it had gotten violent but stopped just when he'd seen Shadow and he talking normally again. It seemed that Shadow had managed to calm Rousel down. Blinking, though, upon seeing Rousel lagging behind, he turned to look at Shadow with a questioning look. "Did you tell him about the show we're having tonight?" he asked as he turned on the engine and noticed how heavy the truck had become.

Rousel really was a big creature now that he was seeing him up-close and personal.

Rolling his window down, the snake man popped his head out and called out to Rousel. "Try to not slip off. There's a belt there you could put on you, if you want." Turning the gear to reverse, Hebs started to back the car and then shifted the gear to get the wheels going. Back to their humble abode. Their little community.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 11:48 AM

"He won't want to participate either way," was Shadow's brief response. He was tired after his long talk with Rousel and wanted to sleep on the way home. Rousel merely grunted in response to Hebs' words, all curled up in the back of the car. He didn't stir for the entire trip home, and neither did Shadow. A very tense, equally matched standoff was what had happened between them, and both of them were exhausted.

By the time they did get home, both of them were asleep. Shadow was able to muster up the strength to go through their show without difficulty after guiding Rousel to one of the storage rooms, where he could rest alone for a while without being seen or bothered.

When the show ended, Shadow pulled Kratos aside. He wanted to break the...bad news.

"...You know Hebs and I went to see my underwater associate, right?" he started out, hesitantly. He went on to explain that his dear siren's brother, Arcturus, had indeed been captured and would be harder to find. After he broke that news, he held him a little longer. "I managed to convince Rousel to come for a short stay. Possibly a permanent one, if he has a good time here. And...I'm afraid he's going to have to use the aquarium while he's here. That means...Léan will have to stay in his smaller tank for a few days."

Léan was not going to be happy about being forced out of his home.

harakun 10-24-2011 12:00 PM

Hebs let out a short, "Ah," before he'd smiled in amusement at the two. It was rather obvious where their exhaustion had come from thus, he'd made the ride extra quiet so as not to disturb the two. In fact, Hebs had even turned on the air conditioner for Shadow while he drove. Glancing at the time in the truck, he calculated the numbers in his head. Enough time to reach for the show. With this thought in mind, he concentrated on the driving - driving as smoothly as he could anyway.

Kratos frowned when he was pulled aside. He was on his way to Léan's aquarium where - Gian had told him - Gian had dropped him off after his part of the show. Comically, there were a series of expressions that appeared on the life man's face. Most of it was that serious look, though. "I'm not telling him that," were his simple words as he crossed his arms over his chest, "Tell that to Léan himself." He wasn't a messenger. Neither was he a delivery boy.

But he surely wasn't liking what he was hearing and neither was Léan. "Isn't this Rousel the guy that Léan can't get along with?" There was his overprotectiveness over Léan appearing. It isn't surprising considering things had happened between the merman and he. Intimate things that he certainly wouldn't mind doing again to get closer to the one merman he's loved for a long time now.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 12:11 PM

"...Kratos, look at it this way," Shadow protested, looking just as serious. "If I tell him...there's a chance he's going to lose his temper and lash out. Ask Alfie how bad it is when we fight. No one can pull us apart...and one of us is bound to get injured. If you tell him...sure, he'll be upset. But he won't lash out at you like he would at me."

Kratos' other concern seemed to make Shadow a little more nervous. "Rousel's kind are not well-respected or liked among other sirens. They're slandered for using dark, ancient magic, for being violent, and for being generally naughty. Of course Léan won't like him. But as long as they're kept far away from each other, we won't have a problem. We can't keep them in the same tank. Rousel is very strong and could easily overpower Léan in more than one way if he wanted to. It's best to keep Léan away. Rousel is huge...far too big to fit in the smaller tank. He has to have the aquarium."

Shadow was actually frightened of getting into a possible fight with Léan. The last time they had fought, Alfie had been the only other freak in the family. That fight was why Alfie feared Shadow's anger so much.

harakun 10-24-2011 12:25 PM

Kratos didn't know. He wouldn't know what would happen if a serious fight broke out between Shadow and Léan but now that he was told that, he supposed he had no choice. He wouldn't mind if Shadow got hurt just as long as it wasn't the merman. "Fine," he grunted as he uncrossed his arms and pursed his lips a little. He didn't like this arrangement at all. It was like Shadow was wanting he and Léan to get into a fight instead. Just when they were getting along really well, too. "Léan's tank will be in my room."

There was no way he was going to let this Rousel come and hurt or touch Léan in any way, any way at all. The life man gave Shadow a stern stare. "Have Gian put Léan's tank in my room." With that said, he stepped back and turned to go to where Léan was. Kratos didn't even turn to look back at Shadow to see his reaction. He was well aware, too, that he was being rude but that was just how he was.

Kratos pushed the curtain aside and stepped into Léan's aquarium. Crouching down by the said aquarium, he rested his elbows on his knees and had one of his hands rub the side of his neck. "Rousel's here," was the first thing he'd said before he'd pointed at the aquarium. "Shadow said he'll be using your aquarium and you'll be in the tank. I had them put it in my room." Though he looked rather embarrassed, the male also looked pretty determined. "I don't want you anywhere near him. I'm not letting him touch you nor am I wanting you and he in one place." There was no use hiding it. He did like the merman too much.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 12:34 PM

Shadow didn't care that Kratos was being rude. All he cared about was the fact that the other had agreed to talk to Léan--that was what was important, after all. Shadow quietly made his way back through the hallways to find Gian. There was no doubt in his mind that Gian was with Alfie, and possibly with Blake. Johnny had said he might come after their show...or tomorrow.

Alfie was all stretched out outside after the show ended. It was dark and nice out, and he wanted to just lay out in the grass for a while and look up at the sky. He was in a very, very relaxed mood. After being in grueling pain for quite a while, it was starting to subside. Laying back, relaxing, and staring at a beautiful sight for a while was just the kind of comfortable relaxation he needed to feel better.

Léan immediately drifted over when he saw Kratos approaching, but his mood was dampened when he saw the look on the other's face. His confusion quickly turned to shock, then fear, and then, just as Shadow had predicted, anger. He was red in the face and looking quite displeased. But he didn't take it out on Kratos. Instead, he brought his hands up so he could massage his temples. He didn't look so happy.

He opened his eyes then, looking serious. "If he comes anywhere near me, I'm going to kill him." He sounded so confident about that.

harakun 10-24-2011 10:20 PM

Strangely, Gian was with Blake. He'd pulled him aside after the show for a little get-to-know claiming that they hadn't been properly introduced. "I'm Gian Duncan," he started as he motioned for Blake to take the other chair made out of haystack and grinned, "I've been here for almost a year now and I thought I'd personally welcome you since we're about the same age." The boy stopped and blinked. "At least, I'm assuming we're the same age."

As if that wasn't enough, he smiled brightly at Blake. "I was watching the whole show while manning it. Your powers, they're really cool!" He was well aware that the other might have some trauma from it but he guessed that people start there. Without using the utmost of their power, they won't be able to master it nor would they be able to control it. "But... I wouldn't know why you're hesitant to use it. Is it really that bad?"

Kratos didn't look happy either. At least, he and Léan were rocking the same boat. Feeling the ends of his lips tug up a little at that, he reached out to tilt Léan's head up. "No. I will kill him." With his free hand on the edge of the aquarium, he leaned in for a lingering kiss. "Come with me to my room." He breathed those words onto the merman's lips, his cheeks coloring just a bit out of embarrassment. He wasn't this mushy. At least he didn't think he'd be.

Mira-Charma13 10-24-2011 11:06 PM

Blake sat awkwardly in the aforementioned chair, staring off to the side instead of looking at Gian. Evidently, he still wasn't too comfortable around the rest of the family. He didn't even seem comfortable around Gian, who appeared to have no power at all. Blake probably hadn't had many friends back home and had been bullied severely in school. A loner...maybe not by choice, but he was used to being alone most of the time.

"...I'm eighteen," he began, simply. "And...my powers aren't 'cool.' They're destructive." The violet-haired boy made a face. He'd accidentally killed a friend of his using his power, after all. He hated using his power. But...if Shadow was going to let him live here and not report him as a runaway, he was going to repay him in any way he could.

Well...almost any way.

"...Am I interrupting?" Shadow was peeking around one side of the tent they were near, looking curious as to what they were doing. He turned his head slightly to see that Alfie was dozing out on the grass just a short distance away and then he turned back to them. "Have you talked to Johnny in the past few days?" he asked Gian pointedly. "Did he say when he was coming for Blake? And...I need you to tell him for sure that we need his help locating a male siren in captivity, about nineteen or twenty looks-wise, with slightly curly blonde hair and blue eyes...and a blue tail. Arcturus has probably been captured."

Léan reached his arms up, raising himself slightly out of the aquarium. A nice, relaxing cuddle was just what he needed to settle down. Hopefully, they wouldn't run into Rousel on the way to Kratos' room. Rousel was still asleep in the storage room, though, so the siren didn't really have to worry.

harakun 10-25-2011 09:34 AM

Gian looked surprised. He didn't look eighteen at all. In fact, he looked... seventeen? That's pretty close to eighteen anyway. "I'm seventeen. That's cool. You look so young." Grinning, the male leaned back a bit and put his hand on the edge of the said haystack they'd made as seats. His grin, though, was short-lived upon hearing that it was 'destructive'. Aren't powers usually destructive if the users didn't know how to control them?

"Well, from my point of view, I think it's pretty cool. Like any other normal people, I'd think I'd be cooler if I could control something - water, air, anything." He trailed off with that thought when Shadow had decided to barge in on them. The question caught him off-guard and he grinned sheepishly. "Haven't." He's been too busy with Alfie to think of anything else. Now that he was reminded, though, it sure stuck to him like glue. And, like Hebs, there was surprise evident on his features when that information was disseminated.

"Seriously?" There was obvious disgust over the felon who'd taken Léan's brother in and he nodded. "I'll go call him." Turning to look at Blake, he gave his shoulders a pat and grinned again. "You sit still here, too. I wanna know more about you." With that said, the boy was gone.

Kratos dipped his arms in and pulled Léan out of the aquarium by the waist. He was quick to have him sit on his knee while he tucked one of his arm under his tail, and the other over his shoulderblades. Without another word, he left with Léan in his arms. Hell, he didn't even seem to care he'd wet his clothes.

Mira-Charma13 10-25-2011 09:54 AM

Blake didn't say anything more. He seemed to think that Gian was absolutely nuts for actually wanting to have an abnormal, potentially dangerous power like his. Blake would have given anything to be normal--to not have this ability and to not draw demonic presences to him. But he didn't comment about that...he wouldn't do so in front of Shadow, as he knew the older man wouldn't like it. And indeed, Shadow didn't look so pleased. He kept an eye on Blake until Gian left, and then he, too, left to go and wake Rousel. He'd just heard mentally that Kratos had taken his dear merman out of the aquarium, so it was open.

It didn't take him very long to rouse the big siren, though he was feeling very lazy and didn't want to get up. The idea of having a big, cool aquarium to rest in seemed to spur him onward. He made his way slowly through the hallway, thankfully not running into anyone else. He didn't need Shadow's help to hoist himself up into the aquarium--with his strong tentacles, he could do it himself.

Now that he was totally comfortable, it wasn't likely that he was going to be stirring anytime soon.

Léan clung to Kratos, only relaxing once they were in his room. Even though they hadn't run into Rousel, the merman could smell him--he looked very alert and unhappy. Obviously, he wasn't going to get along with Rousel.

harakun 10-25-2011 11:18 AM

Gian sat on his bed as he continued listening to the other line ringing. Where was Johnny? It was only a little past nine so he shouldn't be busy unless he was handling a case. That would be a totally different story. The click and the "Hello?" from the other line made him grin and he decided to greet Johnny with an old nickname. He didn't use it in front of the others. After all, he wouldn't want Johnny to hate him.

"Funny Johnny!" There was silence in the other line before a stern, "Don't call me that," followed thereafter. Gian snickered and he put his free hand on the bed. "Shadow's wanting me to ask you when you'll be coming to pick Blake up. Tonight or tomorrow?" There was a couple of sounds coming from the other line, shuffling of papers and someone turning pages of either a notebook or a planner. It was probably the latter, though, knowing Johnny.

"Tomorrow. Before lunch time maybe. I'll drive by there and pick him up. Make sure he's ready." Gian nodded at that and shifted again to sit up. "All right-y. Shall give the message to Shadow. Knowing him, though, he might've had picked up on this conversation." Johnny snorted. "Of course he had. He's too used with his mind reading jig. Anyway. I'll see you tomorrow. You take care of yourself, you hear me?" Gian grinned.

"Worrywart." It was very much like Johnny not to drop the line just yet. He made sure if that was all. After all, Gian easily got, well, sidetracked with things. "Is that all you're to ask me?" As if on cue, Gian's eyes lit up and a short, "Oh yeah!" was heard from him. He looked deep in thought, a couple of emotions crossing over his features before he'd pursed his lips. The latter looked a lot like an expression he'd caught on from the other freaks - from Hebs maybe? "There's this Arcturus guy. The twin of Léan, our merman. Shadow says he might've been captured." Gian was trying to remember the descriptions Shadow had given him while Johnny asked for it.

There was that long silence and Johnny, strangely, waited. Patiently.

"He's nineteen to twenty, I think. Curly, blond hair and his eyes and tail's blue." There was the sound of scribbling and Gian waited for Johnny to talk again. The lawyer, this time, seemed to be deep in thought. "I'll see if I can get some information regarding this. Though if you say this is that siren's twin... there is a big possibility he's in the black market." The two exchanged a couple more words, mostly about their lives, before they dropped the call. It was set. Johnny was going to come with the information on Arcturus if he could find any and come pick Blake up before the other freaks goes off to Austria to Shadow's villa.

Kratos set the merman down onto his lap and shifted to lean back on the wall. He relaxed and yawned. Apparently, the show had taken much of him. Those were the only times he used his powers to a certain extent. If he went all out, he was pretty sure things would've had gone awry.

Mira-Charma13 10-25-2011 11:34 AM

Shadow had indeed already picked up and listened in to the entire conversation between Gian and Johnny. This meant that he also now knew about the latter's silly nickname and would use it at his leisure if Johnny displeased him. He himself was moving out, after getting Rousel to the aquarium, to check on Alfie. To his amusement, and utter delight, he found that the naga had fallen asleep. So, being the good caretaker he was, he slid his arms beneath Alfie and scooped him up, making a beeline for the boy's bedroom.

Léan stayed put in Kratos' arms, resting his head on his shoulder and purring gently. He seemed happy to be in the other's grasp even though he'd been forcibly pushed out of his aquarium for quite a while. It seemed like their bonding hadn't been interrupted in any way by Rousel's appearance.

harakun 10-25-2011 11:47 AM

Gian had just ended the call and was about to head out when he'd seen Shadow carrying Alfie. It made him blink before he'd stepped aside. "He fell asleep?" he asked their ringmaster as he raised his eyebrows a little. Turning to look towards the hallway, though, from where Shadow had come from, he frowned and then returned his gaze back to Shadow. "And, is Blake still there or has he gone to his room?" He did want to have a conversation with the guy even if he spoke very little. Not just to get to his good side, but just for him to have another friend.

At the very least, not an acquaintance like that of Kratos and the merman.

Kratos had shifted again to have the other rest atop him while he ran his fingers through his wet hair. "Night," he mumbled as he pressed another lingering and soft kiss - just a pair of lips meeting another pair of lips - onto Léan's lips. Letting out a sigh of what sounded like exhaustion and relief, he was quick to have fallen asleep.

Mira-Charma13 10-25-2011 12:02 PM

"He did fall asleep. I'm taking him back to his room." Shadow's voice was quiet, as he didn't want to wake the soundly asleep naga. "I think Blake wandered out to where Alfie was. He got bored...now he's watching the stars." Shadow was doubting that Gian would get anywhere with Blake. Blake would have to get more used to his power and more used to everyone in the family before he truly opened up to any of the other freaks.

Blake was indeed sitting under the stars, a nonchalant look on his face. He wanted to go back to his room and sleep, but he figured that if Gian returned and didn't find him out here, he'd go looking for him. And he didn't want a rude awakening. Like Shadow suspected, it wasn't going to be easy to get Blake to open up.

Léan hummed in response, deciding to lay his head against Kratos' chest, now, and use it as a pillow as he, too, hunkered down to sleep. He was tired.

Gian let out a short and quiet, "Oh," before he'd pointed to his bed. He'd even stepped aside. "You can put him on my bed; but, I don't think it'll be too comfortable, though, like his bed." Grinning at the ringleader, he patted his back lightly. "I'll go see to Blake first." Though he knew he wouldn't be getting anywhere with the one who can call out both spirits and demons, he thought he'd, at least, end such a conversation without rudely slipping off without telling him so.

When he'd seen Blake, he joined him and grinned. "Sorry to keep you waiting," he started before he'd put his hands on the soil behind him. The grass was soft under his touch. "Johnny'll be picking you up tomorrow. Says you should be all packed and ready, at least, before lunch time so you won't leave anything." Turning to look back at him, he smiled brightly. "I thought I should tell you that before we head off to bed. Night, Blake." He sat up, stretched his arms out before him and then patted the other's back. "I'll be heading off to bed ahead." With that said, he got up and scurried off to see as to whether Shadow had set Alfie on his bed or on the other's nest.

Gian didn't think he'd want to sleep in his room. There was still the mess they caused on the headboard. That was going to be pretty hard to take off tomorrow morning but oh well, what's done is done.
