Hebs blinked. "I was thinking of putting Damon and his coffin in his room but... why the basement?" When he'd heard about the freak and his habit of collecting coffins, he raised his eyebrows a little before he'd frowned. "That's pretty disturbing." Looking down at Damon, he gently put his hands on his shoulders and had him lay down. "I think you might want to close your eyes. The sun's really out there." The snake man smiled before he'd put his hands firmly, as well, on the other end of the coffin.

Nodding at Shadow's instructions, he, with all his strength, carried the said coffin. With all his work of handling the siren's tank and pretty much lifting heavy stuffs back in their place, it wasn't that hard to carry Damon's coffin. He had to admit, though, it's pretty heavy. "Move, move, move!"

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 02:44 AM

"Well...it does save me from having to buy coffins when...the unthinkable happens." A sad look crossed over Shadow's face for a moment before it disappeared. He was immortal, after all. And too often, far too often, his family members died on him. The sprawling graveyard around them was enough to tell that much...

Shadow, who didn't do too much heavy lifting but was strong, was having difficulty. He grunted, starting to make his way toward the villa. "We'll...put him in his bed first...before taking this to the basement," he decided, firmly, as he moved. "It will be easier to move that way."

Damon didn't seem to mind still being in the coffin. It was comfortable, after all. There was very little that bothered the young man--it seemed to others that he had very little common sense.

harakun 11-04-2011 03:20 AM

"Still, that's disturbing." Hebs frowned as he hurried to bring the coffin with Shadow into the villa. Once they'd gotten, though, to Damon's room, he was rather thankful to Gian who'd opened the door for them. Hebs swiftly set the his side down and moved to Shadow's to help him out. His muscles were strained but he wasn't going to just leave Shadow. Surely, the other would've had felt worst by now.

Hebs helped Shadow put his part down before he'd squeezed his own arms and frowned again. He turned to look at Shadow as he raised his eyebrows a little. "This one, it's too heavy." Sitting himself by the bed, he let out a quiet sigh and looked at Damon. He seemed really comfortable in his coffin. He was unable to keep himself from suggesting something, well, stupid.

"Somehow, I don't think Damon would mind staying in his coffin for a while until he could feel his legs." Gian snickered and Hebs looked up to see the boy crouching by the edge of the said coffin, near Damon's head. "Ah, this is Gian, Damon. He's pretty much just a human." Gian waved and looked in awe. He was looking at a dead person, right?

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 03:27 AM

"It was the only thing...ngh...that he really liked to do, collect those coffins. I wasn't about to take that away from him...and it would be...ngh...disrespectful to toss them away, now." Shadow struggled to keep his side up all the way through the villa and to Damon's room. The help that Hebs provided was great for him as he slowly lowered the coffin onto the ground.

He immediately had to sit down, fixing his eyes on the floor as he tried to regain feeling in his exhausted arms. This room still made him feel very weird--he hadn't been in here in so long, after all, and this was the room that Damon had died in.

"Oh, no...I don't mind staying here for a bit," Damon piped up, slowly hoisting himself up again with his good arm. His other arm appeared to be very weak and kept slipping out from under him whenever he tried to use it. His legs had no strength in them. When Gian was mentioned, Damon turned his eyes to a curious-looking male. Politely, as always, he extended his weak arm, which shook slightly as he did so, for a handshake. His good arm was being used to hold himself up.

"Pleased to meet you."

harakun 11-04-2011 04:09 AM

Hebs blinked. Was Damon even serious? Gian, though, was amused and he grinned brightly when he'd seen the other's shaky hand. He quickly took it - almost roughly (if it weren't for Hebs shouting at him) - and nodded. "It's good to have finally met you! You're really pretty even in real life." Apparently, the boy was referring to Damon in the book that Shadow was keeping back in the circus. "If I didn't know you were a man, I'd have thought you were a girl!" Gian received a whack on the back of his head, though, at his remark and frowned at Hebs giving him a look.

The nineteen-year old pouted before he'd slowly set Damon's hand back on his side. "How does your limbs feel?" he asked as he moved to crouch at his side. He was looking down at Damon's legs. They seemed very still.

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 04:17 AM

Shadow was seeking Hebs' attention while he rested his arms, so he got up and sat beside him on the bed, cuddling up against him. He was very quiet. He probably still had a lot to think about--maybe a nap would be good for him right about now. He couldn't help grinning with amusement at Gian's comments, even though they could probably be taken in a very rude way.

Damon simply chuckled, not seeming to take offense at all. "Well...thank you. I can't say I haven't gotten that before...many people seem to make that mistake when they first see me." He shifted his hips a little to try and get more comfortable, but the moment he attempted to move one of his legs, it stayed perfectly still. It was like dead weight right now. He supposed they would need more time to adjust...Damon would need to be taken care of in his fragile state or he wouldn't fully recover.

"I can feel my arms, but they're quite weak. As for my legs...I can't even feel them right now." He gazed down mournfully at them. "I suppose I won't be able to walk for quite some time."

harakun 11-04-2011 05:21 AM

Hebs turned to look at Shadow and smiled slightly in amusement at the way he was cuddling with him. It had him pressing a light kiss onto the fallen angel's head before he'd turned to look back at Damon and Gian. "Gian, you don't mind watching over Damon, would you?" he asked as he reached up to have his hand rest on Shadow's cheek, "We'll just take a nap." They had been sleeping less, after all. Now that Damon was alive and everything's been cleared up, Hebs was pretty much looking forward to things going back to normal. And, well, his being able to tease and hit on Shadow now.

Gian turned to look at the two and smiled before he'd nodded. "I'll take care of him," he said before he'd turned his attention back at Damon. "Don't worry! We'll take good care of you!" The boy got back up to his feet and went to grab a blanket so he could put this over Damon's body. He could understand Hebs' worry if they moved Damon right now. He'd rather not have Damon's bones cracking either and would probably wait for a couple more days before the man would be able to, at least, feel his legs. How long would that be though?

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 05:33 AM

Shadow stood at once the moment Gian agreed to watching over Damon, looking eager to get back to his room for a nice, long rest. He slid an arm around Hebs' waist as he headed for the door. He figured that spending any more time with Damon while they were both so tired wouldn't be very good. His room, thankfully, was not far away at all. He opened the door, quietly tugged Hebs inside, and closed the door. He didn't move, though--he instead wrapped his arms tighter around the younger male, not seeming to want to move just yet.

Was he afraid he was going to disappear, maybe?

Damon gripped onto the blanket at once, pulling it around his body and resting his head on the coffin's pillow. "I think I should rest," he hummed, glancing up at Gian and smiling. "I'll be fine on my own for a while, I think."

harakun 11-04-2011 06:27 AM

Hebs was quite embarrassed with the way Shadow was acting but he let him be. He'd even smiled and reached up to ruffle his hair a bit. It was when they'd gotten to Shadow's room, though, and he'd felt those arms around him did he raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Shadow?" His voice was rather gentle as he put his hand on Shadow's arm. "You really remind me of a child." Snickering softly, the snake man reached up to bring Shadow's face close to his own for a light kiss on the lips.

"Let's get some rest." Hebs tugged Shadow's hands and pulled him along to the bed. He settled in first and pulled the blankets aside for Shadow to come join him. He wasn't going to hold back now. At least, after today.

Gian nodded at that and smiled. "I'll leave the door open so if you need anything, just call out for me." Getting back up to his feet, he tucked Damon in and put his hands on his hips as he tried to see if Damon was comfortable enough. His coffin did look comfortable enough. "All right then. I'll just be in the living room." With that said, he trekked back to the living room to see if Alfie was already awake.

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 06:39 AM

Shadow hesitated for just a moment before joining Hebs in bed, all curled up beside him. He leaned forward after a moment and kissed his cheek, seeming affectionate for once. His depression appeared to be subsiding. He understood now that his conflicting feelings for Hebs had actually been him starting to move on from his lost lover, and there was no way he could go back. Of course, it would take him quite a while to completely recover.

But, with Hebs helping him, he would be much better soon.

"If I need you...I will call you." Damon wasn't going to call for him unless he was in danger. He didn't want to burden Gian, after all--he didn't want to annoy him in any way. He was always intent on being kind.

Alfie, out in the living room, had just woken and was stretching himself out. He perked up at once when he noticed that Gian was returning and flashed him a grin. But he didn't say anything--Kratos and his siren were still all curled up and asleep next to him.

harakun 11-04-2011 07:00 AM

As if having heard Damon's thoughts, he returned again to peek into Damon's room. "No, I mean for anything!" the boy said as he grinned, "I'm here to help, after all." When he'd seen Alfie flashing him a grin, he returned one as well and would've had said something if it weren't for the two beside Alfie. He hadn't noticed those two until, well, he'd seen the whole picture. He'd actually thought that what he was feeling with his toes a while ago was some sort of clothes. Now that he's realized it, it was Kratos' jeans.

Gian motioned for Alfie to come and thumbed over to Damon's room. He mouthed a, "It's amazing!" while his eyes sparkled with glee and fascination.

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 07:13 AM

Damon was quick to fall asleep once Gian left, exhausted even after doing so little moving around. He probably wasn't going to call Gian at all now that he was fully asleep. Just how long was it going to take him to recover from being revived? Would he need a wheelchair to get around for a while, maybe? And was he sensitive to heat and cold, too?

Alfie, looking curious, slid down off of the couch and mouthed slowly in return, "Can I see him? Or is he sleeping?" He was so curious about Damon--he'd been sleeping when they'd brought him back inside the villa. He wanted to know just...everything about him!

harakun 11-04-2011 07:25 AM

Gian shook his head. "He's sleeping," he whispered to Alfie when he was close enough. Taking his hand, he tugged on it a little,"Let's go look out. You want a walk?" Gian was curious about the villa and the places around it. He was well aware, though, that there were only a few places available in this place. It was a small village and the biggest land, of course, was Shadow's.

[[ Short. Sorry. xD Let's have them go to the cafe? X3 ]]

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 07:30 AM

(( Sure. Should we have Damon confined to a wheelchair to go? He might not be able to walk even a week or so later. Maybe...five or six days later they go to the cafe? And after they get back...maybe he can give them all their gifts?))

Alfie grinned widely, his curiosity peaking at once. Well, of course he wanted to go for a walk! He wanted to know what all was around here. Perhaps there was a place that they could all go out to eat in--and surely Shadow had supplies, including extra wheelchairs, that Alfie and Léan could use to disguise themselves in public as wheelchair-bound humans. "Yeah, sure. I want to know what's around here! But, ah...we should stick to paths and not wander off. I mean...we could get lost."

The naga didn't like the idea of possibly getting lost...not at all.

harakun 11-04-2011 07:37 AM

[[ Fastforward then? I was thinking Hebs would bring Damon to that cafe first so we can have Damon and pretty Jae Hyo meet. : D Maybe Hebs would suggest to Shadow that he'll have Damon breathe in fresh air on a walk while he's on a wheel chair? ]]

Gian blinked at that. That was true. "We'll not go too far," he assured him with a nod. Though, back then, Gian tended to stray from paths and just walk and, well, walk. When he'd give up, he'd find a police station to ask for directions and then get back to where he'd started. He supposed he can't do the same here. This isn't a place for them to roam, after all, with just the two of them and with their communication devices not having any signal, too.

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 07:57 AM

(( Okay, I'll do that! )))

"Where are we going?" Damon asked curiously, eyes shining. Hebs had told him that they were going to go out and get some fresh air, but he hadn't told him just where they were going. He could now use his arms to their fullest extent, but his poor legs were still out of commission. If they didn't start gaining strength, he may never be able to use them again. Had something gone wrong during his revival? Maybe...there was something Kratos or Hades could do?

It felt so good to be outside again and somewhat mobile again. Damon looked happier than he had since being revived just a few days ago. He must have liked nature despite how sickly he'd been during his life.

harakun 11-04-2011 08:08 AM

"To a cafe I saw back when I was taking that short walk," Hebs said as he smiled at Damon's expression. It sure was refreshing to see such a look on his face. It had him idly wondering if Damon was a nature lover. Maybe he'd love to help him garden once they get back from their trip. "I hope you don't mind." Kratos had noticed Damon's lack of use of his feet and had went to talk things over with Hades. Apparently, the god of death didn't know what went wrong when his soul was still in one piece. Physically, he should be okay. Was it because of his brain cancer? Did Elysium do something wrong?

"He couldn't do anything wrong," Hades cut in when he'd known what Kratos was thinking. He made a face and grunted. "The guy's a perfectionist. A damned perfectionist." Kratos frowned at that and nodded. "A week more then. If it's not working, we'll need Elysium's help again." Hades looked like the world has fallen on his shoulders and Kratos immediately smiled. He liked seeing people in their demise. "Please call him for Damon and myself."

By the time they'd gotten to the cafeteria, Hebs pushed the door open and also managed to push Damon's wheelchair in. Hebs didn't see the beautiful boy just yet but he thought he might as well try the coffee with Damon. "Are you okay with pastries or do you want sandwiches?"

Mira-Charma13 11-04-2011 08:26 AM

"Oh..." Damon hadn't been outside of the villa in forever, so he honestly didn't know what was around the area anymore. "I don't mind at all! I'm having fun just being outside. Some food sounds quite good." He sounded perfectly pleasant...happier than usual. Being outside was changing him for the better, it seemed. Damon didn't like being cooped up so much. It reminded him of being confined to his room while he was so terribly sick.

Now that he had a second chance at life, he wanted to make the most of it.

Once inside the cafe, Damon peered up at Hebs with a smile on his face. "A sandwich with no animal products would be all right for me. I'm vegan--I don't eat animal products, after all." Damon had stopped eating meat at a very young age after figuring out where it came from, and then when he turned ten, he stopped eating all animal products altogether. It just didn't sit well with him.

harakun 11-05-2011 05:02 PM

Jae Hyo Kim tied the apron around his waist as he stepped out from the locker rooms at the back. He was surprised though, more stunned, when his eyes had landed on the stranger in the wheelchair. Hell, he hadn't even noticed the man with the scales until he'd spoken to him. "Excuse me, there isn't anyone behind the counter. Do you work here?" That question was enough to have him snap out of his reverie as he looked up at the snake man in surprise. Double his surprise when he'd seen his scales, white hair and yellow eyes. It was unusual and unlike any normal human being, he didn't as much flinch.

Hell, he'd smiled.

"Yes, I do work here," he started before he'd wiped his hands on his apron. The guy in the wheelchair sure was beautiful. Well, not as beautiful as he was but he had this serene air about him that drew Jae to him. He, somehow, found himself interested - probably in love? - with the stranger. "This way, please." He led the snake man to the counter as he punched in his orders. Giving his change and telling them that he'll just give them their order, he found his gaze falling back onto Damon.

Hebs had noticed that and he raised his eyebrows a bit in surprise. The guy working at the cafe sure was beautiful up-close and personal. He had to say that he'd be at par with Shadow's ethereal beauty - in the human sort of sense. "All right. We'll be seated outside then." It was a beautiful day. He couldn't just enclose Damon in the cafe when outside, there were trees, the fresh air and the people passing by. He didn't even seem to mind the odd stares sent his way. It was apparent that he was used to it seeing as he didn't pay them any attention and only smiled if he caught their eye.

Wheeling Damon to a booth right after he'd taken the chair off to put it aside, he took the chair across him and leaned back. "Seems like someone's interested in you," he said with a smile, "The boy. He's been staring at you since he's seen you."

Mira-Charma13 11-05-2011 08:51 PM

Damon did not notice that he was being stared at--no, not at all. He was instead very focused on the cafe itself, peering around with clear curiosity in his expression. In fact, he didn't even notice the beautiful man in the apron until he heard Hebs speak. He spared him a polite glance, coupled with an equally polite smile, before he returned his attention to studying the place. From what Shadow had hinted at, Damon had been alive near the end of the Renaissance age--so, that meant he'd been dead for hundreds of years. All of these new-fangled things were so confusing to him. He would need a lot of time to re-integrate into the real world again.

The food at the front counter was almost all foreign to him. He studied it very closely. To any normal human being, he looked like someone who had never stepped foot in a public place before. He was acting so abnormally. But there wasn't anyone else in the cafe right at the moment, so his behavior went unnoticed.

As Hebs wheeled him outside, Damon had just begun to settle down and glance around at the beautiful nature around him when Hebs spoke. He turned in his direction, blinking profusely. "...Oh? I didn't take notice..." He glanced back inside, quietly noting that what Hebs said was true. "That's nice."

The offhanded way he spoke those words hinted that he wasn't equally as interested. Maybe he wasn't completely over his affection for Shadow yet. He'd started to move on, sure...but he wasn't ready yet for someone else. The only way he would be...might be if someone befriended him and then slowly moved on from there.

harakun 11-06-2011 01:37 AM

Hebs, somehow, pitied the beautiful boy. He seemed so enchanted by Damon that he kept giving him glances. "I got you a mug mocha to drink and a tofu sandwich to eat. Strange. I didn't think tofu could be put in sandwiches." Shifting a little on his seat, he crossed one leg over the other and looked about. The place was definitely peaceful. It had him wondering how such tranquility had formed.

Jae stepped out with their tray of food and drinks. He stood by their table and put their orders in front of them. "I hope you two enjoy your food. My name's Jae Hyo Kim, by the way. Call me should you need anything else." The male smiled and held the tray while he looked at Damon for a bit. "Um, could I be bold to ask what your name is... sir?"

Shy. The boy was shy. Hebs found himself smiling slightly at that. Jae seemed to be sweet. Then again, most of the people he's met were different, all in their own ways. It definitely made them unique.

Mira-Charma13 11-06-2011 01:44 AM

"Tofu?" Damon tilted his head slightly. Tofu probably hadn't been around while he was alive, as it had been quite a long time ago. As long as it didn't have any animal parts in it, which it didn't, he was totally fine with it. Damon wasn't a picky eater when it came to non-animal products. Once their waiter arrived with food, Damon was quick to grab his mug, sniffing curiously at it before blowing and then taking a slow sip. There was a blissful look on his face.

It was only then that he noticed the very attractive male in front of him, glancing his way and speaking. Damon smiled good-naturedly and then daintily offered his hand. "My name is Damon...Damon Barrow. It's a pleasure to meet you." It seemed that like Shadow--most of the time, anyway--Damon was very sweet and polite. He didn't have a bad bone in his body. It often made people want to protect him, when really he didn't need too much protection. Well...he needed physical protection, and not emotional protection, anyway.

Bringing him out for fresh air without Shadow's presence had probably been a good move. Even though they were no longer together, Shadow felt a renewed need to protect and shelter Damon from all the bad things in the world. He was like an overbearing parent.

harakun 11-06-2011 03:06 AM

Jae, apparently, was aware of what to do when someone had daintily offered their hand. He took it and kissed the back of Damon's hand before he'd smiled handsomely at him. "The pleasure's all mine." His cheeks visibly colored just a bit before he'd let go of Damon's hand - though unwillingly - and turned to look at Hebs. The snake man's smile was oddly calming and he nodded once. "I'll be leaving a menu out here; please feel free to call me when you need something, Mister Barrow and..."

"Just Hebs." Hebs didn't really like people having to know or call his last name. It was Japanese and he isn't really proud of it. "Tofu," the snake man repeated, "It's made of soya beans." Jae left and then returned with a menu before he'd gone back inside the cafe to wipe the tables clean and arrange the chairs. He also prepared the sign outside to welcome customers while he brewed himself a coffee.

Mira-Charma13 11-06-2011 03:11 AM

The musician's smile grew just a bit--this fellow was quite polite and gentlemanly. "I will call you if I need something. I may want to sample more on the menu..." He quietly turned back toward his food, taking the mug first to take another long sip before he set it down.

"Oh." Damon peered hard at the aforementioned tofu sandwich before snatching it up and boldly taking a bite. He chewed slowly before smiling, looking pleased. "I like it. It has a unique taste," he announced before taking another big bite. Because of the fact that he wouldn't eat animal products, Shadow used to specially prepare his food. With Shadow being such a great cook, he surely got a taste for many different plant matters around the world. Lots of different dishes.

After finishing about half of his sandwich, Damon reached out to take a look at the menu. Several times, he would tap Hebs on the arm and point to an item on the menu, asking in a confused manner, "What is this? I've never heard of it." It was like a small child out for the first time in public.

harakun 11-06-2011 07:34 AM

Hebs smiled at the other's words. Jae also seemed to have caught on what Damon had said about the tofu sandwich just as he was about to step back into the shop. The smile on the boy's lips made him even more appealing to look at and Hebs couldn't help but inwardly chuckle in amusement. Shadow wasn't going to like this at all when he hears about this boy. "Oh. That's chicken with a bit of parsley. They have ones for vegetarians, too." The snake man didn't mind explaining to Damon the menu, at all.

In fact, he enjoyed his time with him. It was like talking to a little child, indeed, whose first time was eating out in a public place.
