Romans eyes shifted back and forth, nervously scanning the crowd wondering if anyone he knew was there. It was unlikely considering he knew nearly no one anywhere for that matter. In the end he sat down at one of the tables, not feeling quite at home at the bar and pretended not to be looking around at the girls, though he knew very well that was the only reason that he was there in the first place. He felt terrible doing it, but he knew it wasn't exactly frowned upon in a place like this, so he allowed himself to, hesitantly.
|
Kara looked up to see the new guy sitting at a table and smiled some walking over to him with a slight bounce in her step and a warm smile on her lips. "Hellow doll, what can I do for you?" she asked with a smile. She asked her question for more then one answer if he wanted... it could either mean if he actually wanted something from the bar or wanted her to do something... her job was kinda a two in one type deal... if she was asked for something from the bar then she was a waitress but if she was asked for anything else... then she was considered the 'entertainment'.
|
Roman blushed the instant he heard the girls voice and coughed loudly to divert the nervousness, among other sensations, running through his body. He let out annother cough to keep himself calm and looked up at the waitress with a smile.
"Uh, Y-yes a g-gin and tonic please," He said, his voice quaking. |
"Are you okay sir? Oh and is there anything else that you would like with that?" Kara said softly as she smiled at the male acting friendly and was a bit worried when she heard him coughing.
|
"Uh, yes, yes I'm fine..." He said, cleaning his throught slightly, "Uh, no, no thats all i need for now, thank you...uh...whats your name exactly?"
Roman said anxiously. |
"Ow of course! My name is Karasu, and yourself?" Karasu smiled some as she looked at the male giving him a bright smile that she had learned to put on ever since about the fifth year without her brother... it was easier for everyone instead of her normal sad look that she would have if she wasn't trying to hide it from everyone.
|
"Nice to meet you Kisaru. My names Je..." He stopped himself half way, his mind suddenly foggy, before shaking his head and getting a hold of himself, "I mean Roman. My names Roman."
He smiled back as best he could. J? How had he gotten a J out of his name? The two letters weren't even close to each other in the alphabet. He really needed to work on his nerves. |
For a second Karasu almost thought she heard a name coming she knew but then he said his name was Roman. "Nice to meat you, okay it'll only take a moment for me to get your order." she smiled some then danced off a bit to fill his order and was back in a matter of less then ten minutes. "Here ya go-" Karasu almost started to say something else as she sat his drink down though then stopped herself shaking her head a bit clearing her mind some and keeping the look out of her eyes as she frowned for a second. "sorry I got sidetracked, here you are Roman. Are you sure that there isn't anything else I can do for you?" she smiled some to cover up for her almost flounder with his name... was she just about to call him Jeremy? Why? He looked nothing like Jeremy and she hadn't known him her whole life like she had her twin brother...
|
"Thank you," He said with an awkward smile before flicking his eyes away nervously. Did he need something "else" from her? Well, that was why he was here. Entertainment and what not. She was undoubtedly pretty, unusually so, and he did feel some kind of attraction to her, though of what kind he was unsure.
"Ah, actually, I would like something else," He paused nervously, "A kiss maybe, just that for now..." |
Karasu smiled some with a nod as she walked so she was in front of him and leaned forward kissing him softly but deeply with an almost expert mannee smiling some. She felt odd kissing him for some reason... she almost felt like she was kissing some she knew and was related to or something.
|
Roman shivered at the end of the kiss. Something felt very wrong about it, a deep down feeling that he could only describe as "icky." Not an elegant word, but it fit. Roman opened his eyes briefly, not breaking the kiss just yet in hope that it would improve, and was transfixed by her face. The uncomfortable feeling did not pass though, and he cut the kiss off abruptly from the strange sensation.
He let out annother nervous cough. "Ahem...Thank you," He said, flicking his eyes away from her face nervously and blushing like a madman. |
Karasu was also feeling that there was something off about the kiss... a feeling that it was wrong and as though she really was kissing someone she knew and loved... but not in the way of someone that she would kiss... more like someone much closer... almost like her brother. "What's wrong?" she asked softly when he pulled away and had never really had anyone pull away before. Even though the feeling was odd to her she thought that he would have enjoyed it like every other guy had... so why had he pulled away? Isn't that what he came here for?
|
"Nothing, nothing..." He said, nervously shifting the other direction, "I just realized that I shouldnt be here"
He shivered a bit and made his way toward the door, unable to think of anything else to do beyond spontaniously cumbusting from his total embarasment. |
(lol XD nice)
Karasu sighed when she heard him and watched him walk away still thinking that she knew him somehow. She sighed a bit shaking her head as she went back to work thinking about what she was to do today. She felt the urge to go back to her home... he castle that everyone now thought was cursed. No one dared to tear it down and hardly anyone came close to it... and it was almost impossible to get in for the doors were bolted shut and so were the windows which were unbreakable now. (after your post should I have her go ahead to the house?) |
Later on...
Roman shuffled down the overgrown cobblestone road, his eyes fixed lazily on the crinkled map in his hand. He was so sure that it was down this way, but he had been walking for miles and hadn't yet seen any sign of the massive castle that he was supposed to go investigate. Then again, he couldn't really be sure weather or not this was the right way, there was no real indicator of where he was. No signs at all really. There wasn't even a cow farm to give him an idea of how completely lost he was. Instead he had about an hours worth of creepy woods that were hanging down over the decaying road, casting creepy shadows as if they were posing for some kind of horror movie. Actually, it really fit with the whole ambiance of the castle seeing as it was said to be cursed, or haunted, or both. Given the circumstances a goblin or axe murderer was due to pop out any second, or even a shark for that matter considering how silly some of the horror movies were becoming nowadays. Roman didn't mind though, he was used to it. He had seen all manner of nastiest. From ghosts, and ghouls, and occasionally axe murderers depending on how scooby doo the perp was (but that had only happened once, and it was funny as hell after he had taken care of the stab wounds), he had seen it all. It was his job after all. Roman Hardwick, armature paranormal investigator and occult specialist and magic expert, was very good at his job but not very good at life. Money wasn't exactly a big pay off seeing as most of the clients he dealt with were historical and out of options, so he felt that taking their money would be immoral, but he never really used it to begin with. He never really got out much at all to be perfectly honest. The stunt at the bar had been sort of a social dive into the proverbial deep end. In his head, strip clubs were probably the only place in the world where people had to interact with one another somehow, otherwise the girls wouldn't get money and the men would have wasted their own cash on nothing. So, he went and he had bombed miserably. After a good while of flipping out over the whole thing he had wasted no time in running off to the castle, hoping that would get his mind off it all. It didn't. A faint crow of a bird sounded out of the woods, causing Roman to look up curiously, wondering if he could spot it. Instead he caught the very tip of the castle emerging out of the canopy. He smiled a bit to himself, and took off at a brisk pace to finally reach the huge building. He stopped, craning his neck to look up at the castle arches, at the huge front double doors. "Very Frankenstein," He thought, marveling at the ivy crawling up the sides of the stone pillars, and moved to open the large mahogany doors. He pushed on them lightly, feeling the doors give only slightly to his full body waight, but stopped when he heard an odd groan come from the wooden frame. He looked around curriously for the source of the odd sound when his eyes caught the culprit. The hinges on the door were badly rusted to the point of falling off. It was odd that it had been so hard to budge it in the first place, but Roman doubted that even if he tried to open the door, he might end up destroying the ancient relic that, without a doubt, was worth a fortune for its intricate carvings and historical value alone. He didn't want to be responsible for that. Any other time, he would have quickly restore the metal with a fairly simple spell, but he had no idea what kind of metal it was and he didn't want to waste any time as he wanted to get home before three in the morning. With a little sigh, he turned the corner into a small alley like crevice seemingly hidden behind one of the walls. Roman wasn't quite sure how he had found it in the first place, but he smiled with triumph as he saw a door on the side of the building. He oddly wasnt surprised that it was there, like he knew its location. As strange a sensation as it was to realize this, he focused on the task at hand and unhesitatingly opened the doors with an astoundingly loud creek. Unsurprisingly, the inside was pitch black with a dusty old, damp smell rising out of the floorboards. It already felt like home. With a grin towards the darkness, he shut the door behind him and took out his pen to draw an ancient symbol on his hand. it was a simple detection spell to sniff out anything that might be inside. When faced with a paranormal creature, the mark would heat up and, rather inconveniently, start to burn his hand a bit. He was fine with that however, he had come to finish a job and he intended to go through with it. He had been hired from an old groundskeeper that had been caring for the place for years simply because he hated to see the place fall apart. The old man assured him that the old mansion was cursed and haunted by a mysterious phantom of a long dead princess that stalked the grounds. He had been informed of the castles rather grizzly history and it fascinated him. Enough so at least, that he had opted to go without pay for the investigation. He did love a good mystery of history. Finishing up the rune symbol on his palm, Roman began to walk slowly around the room, allowing his eyes to investigate and hopefully attract some attention from the resident phantom. |
(I thought we were going to have it that all the doors were seal cept an entrance that only Remy and Kara used to know about? That's kinda where Kara thinks that Roman is related to her somehow...)
|
((uh...i dont remember that...WHELP THAT EXPLAINS HOW HE GOT IN! :D))
|
(ah but how do I reply if you don't tweak it a bit T~T I'm sorry I'm such a pain but I do kinda want to go by what we said before)
(T~T ugh, I know we talked about it I just can't find where...) |
((I dont really know what you want me to change...I dont really remember the conversation or what i was supposed to do in the first place))
|
(having him come in through a side entrance that wasn't sealed off by a spell and that's what freaks out Kara since only here and Remy knew about it... I'm sorry I'm being a pain T~T it's just hard for me to think right now)
|
((Redone. Is that ok?)
|
(yeah  I'm sorry again that I am such a pain)
Karasu was up in her room that was lit by candles and smelled of fresh flowers as though nothing had ever changed. Of course there were a few things that had never been moved... such as where her brother had laid his clothes on the chair and such.... though she had repaired the door and the chest and drawers. It was as though you were stepping back in time in this house, everything looked the same and surprisingly, NOTHING was decaying at all. There was one room that always stayed locked... even if she went in there she never opened the door, it was Jeremy's room. One of the reasons why people had thought that the manner was haunted and that her spirit still roamed the grounds was for the fact the "princess'" body had vanished, head and all, only about a day after 'her' death. Truth be told, no matter how odd it may be, Karasu had went back to the gallows later and took her brothers body back to the house. She knew a trick or two about healing so repairing what had happened was no big deal really... she just could never bring him back. In that time it really wasn't so odd for family members to do that... though normally someone would be informed yet no one had in this case. It had killed her to see her brother like that and to be the one to fix him though at the same time, she wouldn't have wanted anyone else to touch him. Karasu looked up thinking that she heard a noise downstairs though thought it just to be some animal or something... they wouldn't stay long so she didn't worry about it as she went back to reading and re-reading allot of things her and her brother had read as children or even the letter she had recived that started this horrid life of her being alone. She felt a tear come to her eye as she put everything down and went to her balcony. She started to murmured and quietly seeing the song/poem she had made after her brother had died. It always made her sad but she knew it was true... at least mostly... she couldn't be sure if he still hated her or not when he had died though she just assumed that he had still had hate in his heart for her and what she had done to him. Roman nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a slight whisper coming from upstairs.
"Wha...talking?" He hissed, and listened intently, fully expecting the sound to dissipate as he walked closer to the staircase. His heartbeat quickened as the sound became more distinct rather than hushed. Whatever it was, it wasn't going away. "What the hell...damn, this house must be full of energy, " he took a step closer and herd a quick footstep from above, "Oooor trespassing teenagers..." |
Kara continued to sing the song quietly as she stood on the balcony and stared out at the night sky. she always felt so alone without her brother there and she knew it would never change. she sighed a bit as she walked out of her room and down the hall a ways to her brothers old room and stared at the door bewildered a bit. She then walked back to her room, flew out the window, and then flew into her brothers room and turned normal once she was inside. She walked over to his bed and cold, long dead, body and touched his cheek. she then fell to her knees and started to sob once again moaning his name and wishing so badly that he hadn't have died. She had fixed his body years and years ago which was one reason why the village was abandoned and the castle considered haunted... the body and head had vanished a day or less after the exicution and then the doors to the castle had been bolted shut. She had fixed his body even though it caused her pain and then she had set a seal on the house to keep trespassers out and also to preserve everything that was in the house from decaying... even her brothers body. Before too long though she got up and left the room once more through the window and went back to her room and went over to her bed to continue sobbing and crying her eyes out over her brothers death once more... this was almost like a daily thing.
(what do you think of the poem and the story behind what made everyone leave the area? I like them myself but that's probably because I made them XD ) |
((She...KEPT HIS BODY!? The music from psycho is going off in my head right now. I mean, its not the creepiest thing ive ever heard (by far XD) but damn can you say OBSESSIVE!? And as to why the villagers left, truthfully...meh. It doesnt really add up to me. One body goes missing and one lone building in the entire village is haunted so everyone leaves? Heck, id stay just BECAUSE of that! Do you know how popular haunted houses are!? You'd even get an increase in tourism if it was present day! :D I don't know, It just doesn't seem like it really affects anyone outside of Kiasaru and the corpse. :/ But it admittedly is creepy. And i do like the poem, but isn't from the book "I know why the caged bird sings"? XD))
A shiver shocked though Romans body as the eerie sound of crying floated down to where he was. "Oookay...definitely not alone..." He said, his eyes wide with apprehension as he took out his marker, ready to draw out another magic summon, just in case. "Now..." He said taking a gulp and began the long climb up the stairs, "To figure out if your flesh and blood...or not so much." The boy quaked a bit more, as he wasn't really sure which one he would prefer at this point. If it was a spirit of some kind, it was undoubtedly powerful. That he could feel in the air, and he would have difficulty evicting it from the house. He could even die, and stand and fight till the end. But, if it was a kid or some homeless youth, he would run out of the house or jump out a window or something. He wasn't exactly good with people... Steadying himself slightly as he reached the top of the staircase, a large door appeared to the left. "Odd...this doesnt look like its part of the building..." He mumbled, and really it didnt. The entire second floor didnt match for that matter. It looked like a Victorian palace, a well kept Victorian palace that hadn't aged a day in over two hundred years. "Ok...this is creepy..." He said to himself. |
