Victor stared up at his ceiling quietly for some time before turning to look at her, a slow smile spreading onto his face. Perhaps she didn't want to be here, or undead, but a part of him at the time told him he'd still done the right thing. Not only that, but he was no longer alone, at least, for now. Carefully turning completely onto his side, his arms would move to gently embrace her as she slept, the comfort of another's touch for once calming him as well. It was an odd thing, to have a woman in his apartment- a pretty one at that, but another vampire as well. It was a foreign scenario that he was not sure how to act in. Nevertheless, sleep fell upon him and he slept well and quietly, soundless and still. It was an odd thing, death.

Divine awoke within his arms and snuggled in. Then her eyes snapped open as she looked around, at him, the room. Herself. Okay, everything was intact. She sighed and looked at him. This guy had saved her life, given her shelter and promised to help her. The only thing he couldn't do was take everything back. It was all she could do not to cry about it. Everything about her life up until this point would have to be erased, well she didn't know how many years she could get away without aging. Her life was now in his hands, and somehow she didn't feel trapped or angry.

She would talk to him when they were awake again, for now she would go back to sleep and as she did, she snuggled just a little bit closer to him, her mistrust from earlier disappearing completely.

Victor woke up slowly to see her in his arms, a slow smile spreading over his face again. The oddity of it still plagued the back of his mind, but he brushed that off as he carefully slipped from her arms to sit up. Rubbing his eyes, he would then grab a change of clothes quietly and head down the hall to his bathroom to shower and change, thinking about all he would need to talk to... Oh dear, he hadn't even gotten her name. He pouted a bit at how rude he must seem before sighing and shaking his head as he stepped out of his shower and got dressed. She'd surely understood if he introduced himself today, anyways.

When she woke up he was gone. At first she felt a bit scared and sad, but as she sat there waiting she could hear him in the other room. She again felt safe, which led her to sink into the covers comfortably, her head peeping out from under the covers. She yawned a stretched, she felt uncomfortable in her clothes from yesterday. She wanted to change and take a shower, which meant that she needed to go home. She somehow didn't want to, her attitude had done a complete 360 from last night. She wasn't sure any of this was normal, but what did she know for normal anymore...?

Once he had freshened up, he quietly crept back into his room, only to find her awake. Smiling goofily at her, one of his hands rose to rub the back of his head, "Hey, I-I thought you'd be asleep still. Hope I didn't wake you..." He went and sat at the end of the bed, looking over at her, finding it cute how she was nestled up in bed with her head popping out like that. "Are you feeling alright? Still sleepy?" He asked, almost a bit awkward in this situation, not knowing how to act. He was still sincere, still cautious, but he was more trying to gage how she felt about all of this after sleeping on it.

She kicked the covers a little, her hair even more of a mess now. She looked at him with a slight blush, she'd just spent the night at some mans house. But she was old enough, 21 meant she didn't ask for anyone's permission for her choices. "I'm a little sleepy, and no you didn't. As alright as I can be I suppose..." she trailed off, not really wanting to talk about that subject.

"I'm Divine, by the way... what's you name?" she asked softly, almost shyly, her blush returning in full force. What was wrong with her? In this situation there was nothing to be ashamed nor embarrassed about. How she wished she wasn't so pale sometimes. She wanted to be matter of face, in control of the situation and her emotions. But it seemed as though there wasn't any chance for her to be.

Victor nodded slowly, relieved to hear that she didn't seem to feel particularly horrible, given the circumstances. The blush on her cheeks caught him by surprise, a bit of shyness brushing off onto him as well as his cheeks caught the slightest of tints. "My name's Victor, sorry for not... giving you at least that last night.." Then moving on, he smiled warmly towards her, "Your name suits you," he offered as a compliment before taking a moment's pause to collect his thoughts. "Do you need clean clothes? I'm afraid mine would probably be big on you, but, you could at least borrow a shirt?" He remembered the blood from last night- oh, the blood. It was a wonder she'd been able to sleep in those clothes, at least in Victor's mind.

"It's alright... We didn't remember under the circumstances... Do you have any really big ones?" she asked softly, noticing his own embarrassment. What did he have to be embarrassed about?! She was the one who had invaded his home and asked to sleep in his bed. That was a bit much for virtual strangers, and yet again she remembered that he wasn't. He had turned her, or something. She wasn't sure which, and wasn't about to ask.

"So what do we do now?" there was a slight hitch in her voice, uncertainty and nervousness bleed through. It was nothing at all like her normal self.

Victor would nod and stand up, walking over to his closet to search for a large shirt, as she had requested. As he searched, he thought quietly for a few moments before replying to her question, "What is it that you want to do?" he asked, unsure. "I mean," he pulled out a blue tee shirt bearing some random brand logo that was easily a lot larger than he was, offering it to her, "It's up to you, I suppose. There are things you might need help with, but otherwise... " He shrugged softly, grinning a bit, "You could go back home, wherever that is, but I'd let you stay, if you needed the help picking your life back together."

"I have no clue how to survive like this... will you help me?" she was still embarrassed! God, why couldn't she get over that? It was nothing more than his concern for her. He wasn't her lover or boyfriend, fiance nor husband. So why did she feel as though they were that close? Probably cuz her tired mind was playing tricks on her, thoroughly. And she didn't want these feelings, they made no sense in a world already gone crazy. For the love of Mary!

She got up and grabbed the shirt, discarding her top and throwing it on, gathering it in the back to tie it in a knot. "I want to know how to survive like this, as a.............. Vampire..." for some odd reason she couldn't seem to grasp that fact still.

Victor nodded slowly, surprised with her answer, but somehow glad that she asked for the help. He wanted to help her. He wasn't all quite sure why, assuming it would have something to do with guilt, or some protective instinct he'd procured from turning her, but whatever it was about her that made him want to help was insistent. He sent her a warm smile, "That's what I'm here for." He'd turn respectfully as she took her shirt off to put his on, looking back over at her, feeling odd to see a girl in one of his shirts. The way she said vampire made him pout a bit, but he perked up almost immediately, "I'll help you with everything you need to know," he spoke slowly, thoughtfully. "But first," a smile flickered across his face, "Breakfast?"

"What is breakfast for us?" He was pouting over something, and she wasn't sure what. Did she sense a little hurt from him? Why was she so deeply connected, even though he had made her so to speak, she could read his shifts loud and clear. Which was strange to say the least. "What, wait before that, why can I tell your moods?" she asked in a concerned voice. Her head was beginning to spin, and her vision got a little blurry. She sank down onto the bed and sighed, holding her head between her hands. Nothing to do for it she supposed but sit back and listen to Vincent.

Victor shrugged a little at her first question, an amused smile playing across his lips, "Pancakes, if you want taste. If not," he would let her guess the rest of that one. He figured the vampire subject may still be a bit touchy as of now. As she sat, he became a bit concerned, sitting down at the end of the bed once more and looking at her, confused, eyebrows furrowing slightly. He was about to ask if she was alright before her question came, a bit of a surprise to him. He wasn't altogether entirely sure of the answer, but considering the circumstances, he rubbed the back of his head, sighed, and made a guess. "I believe that's a side effect of me turning you," he explained slowly, thinking it over.

She had heard him right of course, she couldn't think of consuming blood. Everything was still too new, and she didn't want to drink it. Of course she'd cut herself and drunken her own, but that was different, drinking someone elses blood was a very disconcerting thought. She shuddered at the thought as she tried to shake it from her head. "So what, are we like linked together like this forever? Will I always know when you feel some type of way?" she asked softly, liking the idea and at the same time not. It was an invasion of privacy and she didn't like that. He was entitled to having his own thoughts and emotions without anyone knowing. But she was grateful that he couldn't tell hers.

Victor looked at her quietly for a moment before standing once more, sighing softly, and shrugging. While he wasn't fond of entertaining the idea that someone may always be able to distinguish his feelings so clearly, he honestly didn't care all that much. He wanted to protect her, and if his act brought this upon him, then so be it. "I guess so," he started with a grin, "Can't be too bad, right?"

"Can't be too bad, do you know how I'd react if you knew just about everything I felt?" she exclaimed softly, wondering about him. This was insane, she could accept something more well than the other, and this wasn't one. She liked her privacy and didn't want to invade someone elses, it just felt awkward. "And how do you not know, how old are you? Shouldn't you make me know more than that?" she suddenly felt very hot and took a few deep breaths, trying to calm down but it didn't work. She could feel the anger bubbling up inside her like some great beast, and it only got bigger with each passing second.

Victor's eyes widened slightly at her seemingly sudden change in mood, confusion drawing over his facial expression as his eyebrows furrowed together and his lips took to a small pout. "No, but it's obvious that I cannot," he replied slowly, his eyes moving up from the floor to look at her with almost a searching gaze. He was searching for the proper reaction to her frustration, but not finding it. "I died at twenty-three, and have lost track from there. I was born sometime in the early 19th century..." His voice trailed off softly before he sighed deeply, one of his hands running through his hair, ruffling the already unruly locks. "I don't know, because I've never turned a human before. All I know about this..." he gestured between the two of them "Is what little I remember from when I was in your place."

"19th, you say what now?" she blurted out unable to believe her ears. No, already her mind was struggling to wrap around the thoughts that paranormal stuff was real. And if this was true, then. Why all the secrecy, the legends, the hiding? What was this all about, was there truly a vampire society running inside the humans? He was practically an Ancestor, wait no he was. He was someone's Ancestor for sure! She was way in over her head! This was not cool man, she had some type of life. And now because she'd lulled herself into a false sense of security she had co-signed to staying with some strange vampire male. Her life had now hit rock bottom and she officially said, "FML. I give up, I'm willing for your help and teachings."

Victor sighed softly, grinning half-heartedly at her reaction. He then made the decision to hold off on information about his personal life until later, deciding it would simply be best that way. 'FML?' He had to take a moment to think about what that meant, his eyes widening as he remembered. 'Fuck My Life?' That's cheery... but I'll take it. He chuckled softly, smiling amusedly and shaking his head a bit, his hands raising to rest on top of his head. "Right. Breakfast?" he asked, moving to exit the room.

"If it isn't alive then yes, breakfast." she said with a wicked grin, combing her fingers through her hair and then sighed a bit. She would be able to go back to her place to get her stuff later on, and when she did, there would be choices to make and she wasn't looking forward to that. Right now, she could enjoy the time here and relax with Victor. He was kind, a bit foolish and totally innocent. She smiled at that thought, he was actually pretty cute, but she wasn't going to tell him that. She was happy to however just let him be himself and get to know him, maybe there would be some benefits to this, and one would never know until one tried.

Victor actually smiled rather warmly at that, laughing softly and withdrawing his hands from the top of his head, "As you wish." He'd walk out of the bedroom and down the short hallway into the small kitchen, opening a cabinet first to withdraw some ground coffee, which would go into a nearby french press along with some warm water from the faucet. "Now, what would you like for breakfast? Substance or taste?" he asked in an almost humorous voice, though his question was quite serious. He didn't want to gross her out right away, and did enjoy making actual food himself, but if she was actually hungry she would need something more suited to their species.

"Well, I'm actually hungry, like my tummy is rumbling." she replied, blithely unaware of what she had basically just asked for, she didn't know the difference between hunger and feeling empty. She was slightly confused by the question but felt she should answer. She smiled and at down in the kitchen, stretching and yawning a bit sleepily. She felt like she needed more sleep like their was something missing, her sense felt a bit muffled and she paid it no heed. Maybe she should ask, nah, everything was fine.

Victor looked at her curiously for a moment, one of his eyebrows raised slightly in surprise and a bit of confusion. Did she know what she was asking for? How would she react? Sighing, he shrugged slightly and withdrew two bags of packaged blood-- about a few days old, at least. It wasn't his favorite in comparison to freshly drawn blood, but hey, it would satisfy them for now. Taking a knife from a drawer, he cut both of them open and poured them into two glasses. "Now, before you go getting any ideas, these were blood donations channeled to us from a hospital. Not fresh." He would cautiously hand her one of teh glasses, "Bon apetit."

She grimaced and took a tentative taste before gulping the whole thing down like medicine. She didn't want to taste it, or even think that she liked the taste. She wanted to retain some of her humanity, and that didn't imply cannibalism to any extent. She wasn't sure what she was thinking right now, because her head was so mixed up, everything seemed like a blur to her for a little while. She stared fuzzily at Victor and smiled a little, a shy child-like smile that bespoke her innocence more than anything else. "So, what is this, between us?" she questioned tentatively.

Victor watched her reactions carefully, now wishing he was as in-tune to her emotions as she was his. That would be helpful. Relief swept over him and he relaxed himself once more as she drank it, even if she did it rather quickly. It was an acquired taste, and he hadn't figured she'd take it even half as well as she did, but he was rather... proud, was it? that she did better than expected-- an odd feeling towards someone he'd just met. Her question threw him for a loop, hesitant to answer after having difficulty wrapping his mind around it. The innocent smile splaying across her lips was almost a surprise for him, but he did have to remember that she and he had only met-- they didn't truly know each other. "Well," he started, thinking of how to word it without sounding medieval, "If you want, you can say it's a creator/creation relationship, if that's not too Frankenstein for you. Normally, however, you'd be called a fledgling and I would be your master. Not literally, mind you, I'm just like a guardian of sorts, I suppose."
