Nika snickered. "That was definitely worth it."

"I'm sure it was," Dawn replied. "It was still damn impressive."

"Thank you." Nika grinned.

"You hungry at all?"

Dawn was about to say no, but the thought of food actually sounded really good. Breakfast had been a while ago, and lunchtime had been taken up by the trip to Olympus. "Food sounds wonderful."

"Cool. I can call food in or I can try to make something." Nika shrugged. "Your pick."

"Up to you," Dawn replied. "Your apartment and all."

"Food from out it is. So, we have the option of Chinese, Italian, subs, all the normal. Any preferences?"

"Oddly, pizza sounds really good," Dawn replied. "If that's alright with you, at least."

"It's good with me." Nika picked up the landline phone she always kept in her apartment and ordered pizza. "Pepperoni or just cheese?"

"Pepperoni," Dawn replied immediately. "I don't know how people can have just plain cheese. There's no flavor to it."

"Depends on what kind of cheese you use." Nika finished placing her order and hung up. "Half an hour."

"Alright," Dawn replied. Stretching, she sat down on the couch and started to pick out a simple tune on her lyre. After a moment, she changed it to a guitar and made the tune a bit more complex.

Nika relaxed and just listened to her playing, closing her eyes. She enjoyed the company, and the free music.

Dawn cycled through a couple of songs, and then moved on to a more complicated one that forced her to flip from a guitar to a violin and back again in the middle. The transition wasn't quite as seamless as she would have liked, but she hoped it was good enough.

Nika applauded softly when she was done. "That was great," she said with a smile. "I love it."

Dawn flushed slightly.

"It was clumsy," she replied. "I'm still working on transitioning like that. Did you really like it that much?"

"I did. I didn't notice anything weird, but I'm also not a musician like you." Nika shrugged a little. "I thought it was awesome."

"Thanks," Dawn replied, deciding to just take the compliment. She held up the guitar a bit. "Any requests? I can play anything with strings."

"Hmm. I'm kinda fond of a song called Maleguena, if you know it?" Nika raised her eyebrows.

"I might, give me a second..." Dawn experimented with a few measures for a moment before hitting on the right one and flowing easily into the song.

Nika smiled and listened, very pleased.

"That was great," she said once Dawn had finished.

"Thanks," Dawn said. Absently, she started playing one of her favorite country songs. "It's relaxing, being able to just sit and play."

"Usually when I have free time between jobs I sit and read, or learn to cook, or things like that." Nika shrugged. "Hobbies."

"I could try to teach you guitar," Dawn offered. "I mean, I don't know how well it'll work, since I don't consciously know the technicalities, but still."

"Hey, we could try. I could end up playing by ear, I guess." Nika shrugged.
