"Nobody but him and Nika will realize it," Dawn said. "But that's all I need to have happen is the two of them to understand it." She grinned. "Maybe next time he won't pine as much."

"No problem," Jason replied. He'd actually been a bit surprised himself that he healed it all. Asclepius must have been telling the truth when he said he imporved Jason's healing power. "Let me know if I missed anything, alright?" Though somehow, he didn't think he did.

Seth snorted. "Well, that would probably be good for your sanity." He smiled at her. "Or maybe we should just shove him after her next time, and he can follow her like a wounded little puppy."

Nika nodded. "Alright. I think I'm going over to the hot springs to soak for a while." She got up carefully.

"I doubt Nika would appreciate it," Dawn replied dryly.

Jason held out a hand to help her up.

"You never know," Seth said with a grin. "She might like the company."

Nika took his hand after a moment and got up, glancing at him. She wasn't sure if that meant he was going with her or not.

"He's so completely lovesick the Aphrodite kids started to notice," Dawn said. "I doubt Nika wants that following her around until he comes to his senses."

Jason let go of her hand reluctantly once she was back on her feet. He still couldn't help but think that her eyes were absolutely beautiful.

"I should probably get back to my own cabin before I get smote for being in here," he said.

Seth snorted. "He'll get over it faster the more he's with her." At least, he thought so. Maybe. Possibly.

"You won't get smote for being in here," Nika said with a snort. "You have my protection." She bent over to pick up her swimsuit.

"But go shoo over to the door so I can change."

"Well, he hasn't come out of the cabin yet," Dawn mused. "Either she killed him, he got smote, or they might actually be talking."

Jason obediently went over closer to the door.

"Or he's on the floor in pain because she dropped him," Seth said. He paled a little at that thought. "I kind of pity him..."

Nika changed quickly into her swim suit before she went over to the door. "Okay, now I'm going."

Jason followed her out of the cabin, oddly grateful to be out of it. It felt wrong to be in the cabin of a god other than his father.

"After the last few days, I don't," Dawn replied. "I might care again in a little while, after I relax in the silence for a bit." She saw the door of Ares cabin open, and Nika walked out with Jason behind her. "Oh look, he's still standing."

"You planning to jump in wearing your shorts?" Nika asked, raising her eyebrows at him. "Sounds kinda wet and sticky to me."

"Indeed he is." Seth chuckled. "So what were you going to do for the rest of the day?"

"Well, I would change," Jason replied, grinning a bit, "except my things are all in my own cabin. So unless you wanted to come with me there first..."

"I had nothing planned," Dawn replied. "Today is one of our free days."

"Well, don't be a girl about it," Nika said with a snort, amusement clear in her eyes. "Go on."

"Cool. Come on, I have something to show you." Seth grinned at her.

Jason rolled his eyes and went back into Apollo cabin quickly to change. His brothers all looked at him as if he was crazy, but he ignored them. It was easier that way.

"Where are we going?" Dawn asked as she followed Seth.

Nika let herself grin briefly as she waited for him. She could just imagine the looks he was getting now.

Seth stopped a ways away from camp, still inside the protected area, in a little natural cove formed by the lake. "Here."

Once he was changed, Jason went back out to meet Nika.

"Ready when you are," he said.

Dawn gasped slightly and looked around.

"It's beautiful out here," she said.

Nika nodded and started walking, leading the way to the hot spring. She kept her t-shirt on as she dove into the water, swimming over to the other shore before she surfaced again.

"I come here whenever I get too mad at my siblings," Seth said quietly. "Or when I just need a break, or whatnot. I love it here."

Jason stripped off his shirt and jumped into the hotspring.

"This is a wonderful place," he said as he relaxed in the water. He watched appreciatively as Nika's shirt clung to her.

"It's peaceful out here," Dawn replied, looking around. She didn't realize when she stepped a bit closer to Seth.

"Yeah, I like coming here." Nika slicked her now-wet hair back before she slowly made her way back over towards him. "Especially after a job."

Seth, however, did notice. He just chose not to comment. That would probably make her skittish.

Jason moved over a little so that Nika could sit.

"I can imagine," he said, trying desperately not to stare at her chest as she got closer.

Dawn started humming softly, absently, as she stood with Seth. She actually jumped a bit when a golden arrow came hurtling out of nowhere and buried itself in the ground between them. She was speechless for a moment.

"Son of a bitch," she swore as she knelt down and tore the arrow out of the ground. She snapped it in half.

Nika sat down next to him and stretched out her legs, just relaxing and letting her muscles relax, unwinding after the stress of the job. She could fall asleep there.

Seth looked at the golden arrow nervously. "Your father?" he guessed, looking at the arrow. There was only one other god he knew of that used gold arrows, and when Eros shot someone he didn't miss.

"Don't drown on me," Jason teased. "I haven't learned how to fix that one yet."

"Yeah," Dawn replied, snapping the pieces of the arrow again just because. "Sticking his nose in where he has no right!" The last part was clearly directed up towards the sky. "He ignored me for twenty-three years, he has no right to try to control my life now."

"Don't worry, I won't actually fall asleep," Nika murmured. "It's just nice to relax after all the stress. As much as I can, anyway."

"He's a god. He figures he can do whatever the hell he wants," Seth said, a tad bitterly. "Doesn't make it any better, but crap happens."

"I know how to give a half-way decent massage, if you want," Jason offered.

Dawn tossed the arrow fragments off to the side.

"Ignore it for now," she said. "He missed on purpose, it was probably a warning shot. But if he shoots you, I'll shoot him back, I don't care." Reaching over, she took Seth's hand and walked with him over under the trees.

Nika thought that over. Another massage would definitely be nice; her shoulders were sore and tense after all the adrenaline. Of course, getting that massage meant letting him get behind her. That made her a little nervous.

"Alright," she agreed after a moment, turning on the little natural bench so she had her back to him. "Thanks."

Seth smiled at her. "Thanks. I'd appreciate that." He kept hold of her hand as they moved under the tree line, and even then he didn't let go of her.

"So, what do you want to do now? I've got plenty of time to kill."

"No problem," Jason replied, moving over so he could start working on her shoulders.

"I didn't have anything planned," Dawn replied. She blushed a bit when she realized they were still holding hands.
