Metro kicked the car door shut with a groan as his mom handed him his suitcase. "This sucks major..." He said crossing his arms. He did not want to be here at all. He hatted trees, woods, and forests. He hated most things in nature except for desserts, mountains, volcanos, and oceans, rivers, and lakes. He grumble as he looked at he sign. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood?! What a lame name for a camp...mom this is horrible! I'm going to be in the woods and unable to see any of the bands I was going to! Unable to see any horror movies and no chilling in the Lotus Hotel." He scowled angrily.

"Metro...." His mom said with a sigh, "Please I don't have a choice in this...your dad said you had to come here in order to be safe....he doesn't want any monsters to come and harm you...your his youngest child....he worries..."

"Mom that's stupid if I die I'll just be with him even more...besides monsters don't scare me I'll slice and dice a Minutar!" He huffed.

"Well I worry about you how about that...and I think this camp will be good for you..." She said. "Las Vegas isn't a place for young children...and in the two years we lived their you won't believe how much you have changed!"

"Yeah for the better...NYC sucked!" Metro said as he huffed.

A girl that seemed to be smoking came running over and collided with a boy. She growled as she landed on the ground and glared at him, "what where your going, do you have any idea how annoying it is running into people like you." she said as she glared at him. She then stopped and seemed to smell him. A smirk ran across her face, "looks like your a newbie, well welcome to camp half blood, the second most horrible place in the world. Hope you enjoy yourself." she said as she looked at him and then a roar came from behind her and she looked behind to see a lava dragon crashing towards her.

"darn, I had hoped I had lost him." she said and then with grace and speed that was inhuman and inhalfblood she charged at it. She seemed ot fight better then anyone else in camp and soon she had sliced the head off with the sword she had at her waist. She smiled as she seithed her sword and more of her clothing was gone. Her pants had been burned and turned into shorts as well as her shirt that looked more like a sports bra now. "ha, I got you you littl bugger." she said and then picked up its head and smiled as she headed past the boy and women, "you better get inside, you have no idea what else is out here." she said and as she said that another roar came from behind her.

"YOUR NEXT BIG BOY!" She yelled out to it before heading into camp like it was no big deal at all. When she got into camp no one seemed ot notice or care. NO one cared about her, she was just eth shadow of the camp. She killed any mosnter that dared get close to the camp that was big enough to get threw the barrier. She collected there heads and placed them around the camp for display sometimes.

Metro watched the girl slack jawed in awe. He couldn't believe it. She was frickin' insane. He rubbed his face with a groan before looking at his mom. "And this is where you want me to stay for the summer!" He said. How stupid could his mother be? How was he supposed to be safe here? There was a half naked crazy girl slaying dragons. If that was safe then the Underworld was Heaven. Well ignoring the clear pun the camp looked like the opposite of safe.

Metro's mom frowned, "Please Metro just go inside the camp and don't fight with me..." She said softly. Metro sighed looking at her unhappily.

"Fine...but this better come with compensation when I get back...I'm missing summer...and I love summer...." He grumbled as he picked up his bag and passed through the barrier with a sigh as he looked back at his mom with a small wave and turned around to look around at the camp. He wrinkled his nose. "Smells like earth..." He grumbled unhappily as he crossed his arms unsure what to do.

Zarina headed to the house and smiled as she saw Chiron, "I got another head for ya. Oh and also a newbie is making his way in here, should I show him around or scar him off?" she asked and Chiron just shook his head as he took the head and nearly burned his hand. He hten looked at Zarina, "just place th ehead outside for now, your the only one who can touch it." he said and Zarina nodded as she headed outside with the head and Chiron came after her.

She saw the boy making his way down and sighed, "see there his is, he didn't even know it wasn't safe out there. Can I please watch him die? maybe I can send him off to the climbing wall and watch the lava kill him." she said and then heard Chiron stomp his hoof. She gave him a small appologetic face and he sighed, "no killing him, He is hte son of hades and his mother told me he would come here." he said and then smiled as he looked at her. "and I want you to show him around."

Zarina just stared at him and then stomped her feet which made the ground shake slightly. "no no no, you know he will just end up hating me like the others." she said and then glared at Chiron. "there is no changing it, now go and show him around." he said and sounded like her father. Zarina growled and then stomped away with the dragon head slung across her one shoulder. When she got to Metro she grabbed him back the back of the shirt, "your coming with me, if you have a problem with it then deal with it." she said and conitnued to drag him around. "Chiron said I had to show you around so here is everything." she said and dragged him back each cabin but didn't care if he looked or not.

This held no point in it, he was just going to hate her like everyone else. Everyone didn't even want ot pay attention to her, she was just he shadow of the camp. The only person who ever noticed her was Chiron and that was because he had raised her. He was basicly her father and she was his daughter, it was odd but they did love each other in a way.

"Gah....get off!" He grumbled as he was dragged. He was only half paying attention. He growled as he was dragged along until he saw something that caught his eye. He dug his heels into the ground, "Hey Earth Girl STOP!" He said as he felt his body temperature begin to rise. "Do you see that?" He asked as he looked at the dancing shadows.

He sighed getting away from her as he paused looking at the shadows. "You can't can you..." He said as he got closer to them. They began to take form and smiled at him. "No one else really can....dad says it's one of my powers...but it scares my mom she thinks I'm crazy..." He huffed watching the shadows carefully. "They are Sons of Hades...like me...." He turn to face the crazy girl, "Is this the Hades cabin?" He asked gesturing to the cabin. His face had a strange look to it. Like he was deep in thought or contemplating something.

He watched the girl twisting some of his black hair as he waited for an answer. "Well?" he asked looking at her. He seemed a bit anxious, as he picked up his bag looking back again a the girl, "Who are you by the way..." Metro asked looking at her.

Zarina stopped when they got to his cabin and sighed as he saw the dead. SH eknew that what he saw the dead, this woudlnt' be the first time that she had showed a Hades kid around. She then nodded as she looked at him, "yeah this is your cabin, hope you like it. But just to say the last one that lived here died soon after he got here." she said as she looked at him.

She was about to go but then heard him and sighed, "I am Zarina kim, you will learn to hate me in the morning by tomorrow." She said as she looked at him and headed out of there. She knew htat he would hat eher just like everyone else in this place. This was her hell to her and she hated it more then anything else. "if you need me just call into the forest." she called back to him.

ONce she got to the forest she headed in and seemed to dissappear. After walking on a path she came to a small house that was made out of plants and a tree. This was her place, it was cabin Zarina. NO one came to her and tried to be friends with her, she was alone.

"Zarina......huh...." He said. He watched her walked away before he walked into his cabin. The fact that someone had died inside didn't bother him. He knew Death like his was his own blood. Which in a way it was. Once he set his bag down he looked around the cabin. In was large and spacious. And even though it was broad daylight out side the cabin was dark and creepy. "Perfect..." he said.

He looked at the unlit candles and snapped his fingers making his fingers glow flame. He smirked happily as he flicked his fingers at the candles. The flames flew off his fingers and lit up the candles. "Now that just finishes the creepy tone..." He said as he looked around again. He began to unback his bags.

Once he was done he slowly went outside into the sun, "Gah! Sun!" He said covering is eyes running into the woods for some shade.

Zarina smiled as she got into her cabin and stripped herself of her clothing. They where useless and not needed anymore. She then slipped on her baggy shorts and a green shirt. No socks or shoes where needed, bare foot was the way to go for her. She smiled as she dug her toes into the grass carpet that she had. This was her place, her sanctuary. No one bothered her and that was how it was going to stay.

She then headed outside and smiled as a deer came over to her. She gently patted it and then got on it. "come on, take me to where ever you want to go." she said and just layed on it's back as it carried her around the forest. But as they got to a detain section of the forest the deer snorted and stopped. Zarina groaned and looked around. She then spied one of the campers in the forst and sighed. She got off the deer and walked over.

"what are you doing in here? You do know that you could get lost if you come in here." she said as she looked at him and found it was the guy from before.

Metro turned around looking at her for a moment. He thought for a moment, "Oh...ah..Zara...Zeena?" Metro said as he looked at the girl try to place her name, "Oh...right Zarina...sorry...I'm not that good with names..." He said with a frown. He scowled at the sun before looking back at the 'Earth girl'.

"I don't plan on walking around any in these woods...just sitting here waiting for the sun to go down for a bit...It's a bit to bright right now for me..." Metro said with a sigh, "I like the dark...I don't understand why Apollo always has to make the sun soo bright..." He frowned.

Zarina growled when she heard him get her name wrong and glared at him. "well you better be careful, I get annoyed when you get my name wrong." she said and a growl came from behind her. A wolf then appeared next to her side and growled at Metro again. Zarina smirked and patted the wolf on it's head and it leaned against her like a dog. "good boy." she said simply and smiled down at it.

She then glared at him then, "well guess what I do not take kindly intruders so the sun can burn you for all I can." she said and then the ground under him started to move him out into the sun. She then smirked, "oh and apollo made the sun to help the earth. If you wish teh sun not to be bright then we all would be dead." she said as she watched the ground take him out of her forest.

He growled as he was pushed out into the sun. He pulled up his hoodie quickly to cover his face from the sun. He turned to look in the woods angrily, "Crazy Earth girl..." He complained as he quickly ran into his cabin. He blew steam out of his nose angrily. What was she crazy. He wasn't going to get lost by taking just one step out into the woods. He shook his head.

He sighed cooling down a bit. Even though the girl made him angry, he was extremely curious about her. There was just something different about her. Her aura was different. Weird and strange but it interested him.

Zarina growled as she moved away from there and started to scout the perimiter of her forest. No one was aloud in and nothing was aloud out of her forest. She was tehre protector and if a demon tried to make there way into the camp they would find themselves far away form here.

After a little while the sun started to go down and she heard teh lunch bell go off. She smiled at the thought of food and came out of her forest. She headed over to the food and started to gather some stuff onto a plate. Once she got enough she put only a little into the fire to offer to the gods and then headed over to a small table in the corner. It was her own table, chiron had given ti to her when she nearly killed all of the hermies cabin.

Metro sniffed the air a bit as he smelt food. He grinned, "Chow time..." He headed out of his cabin to grab some food. He looked at all the kids getting worried a bit. He didn't do well with others. He preferred to have one on one conversations with people. People who were usually dead though. Or dogs, three headed ones. Like his little puppy Sebby. Or his dad and his mom. He sighed knowing that he would have to just deal with it.

He walked over getting some food offering some into the fire thanking the gods as he sat down all alone at his table and began to slowly eat ignoring the other kids. He hated being the new kid. Or in this case the new Demi-god. He nodded a bit as he ate his food. He liked the silence of his own mind. Though it was kind of lonely not having any living half-siblings. Looking around at the other tables he saw all the other Demi-gods had several people at the table except the weird woods girl.

Zarina ate some of her food and then heard a few whisperes as some of the kids from the goddess of love table looked at her. She growled softly and the earth shook slightly which made them all shut up. A few laughs erupted from the girls at the artimis table looked at her and gave her a thumbs up. They where the only peopl at camp who liked her since she was one with nature. She smield at them and nodded before standing up and throwing her plate into the fire for the gods.

She then headed out of there and down towards the beach. It was the only place that she liked to go besides the forest. When she got there she listened to the water and smield as she closed her eyes and the water moved to surround her feet. SHe smiled and then let the water recead before sitting on the sand. As she looked at hte sand it slowly started to build and make sand castles out of it.

Metro looked down as the ground shook. He furrowed his brows as he looked over at Zarina who was getting up and going over to the water looking upset. Well angry was more like it. He frowned thinking. It seemed like the other campers didn't like her. Except for the girls from the Hunt who were siting at his Cousin Artemis' table. He thought for a moment as he finished his food and followed the routine that the other campers were doing.

Once that was done he walked over to the beach watching silently as Zarina built sand castles. He looked down for a bit then looked up at the horizion where there was a beautiful sunset. He smiled looking at it. He didn't hate the sun, not really. After all he loved the heat Apollo provided. He just was scared of it because of the skin condition from his mom. He frowned, he seriously hoped that once he had better control of his powers that it would go away. He shook his head clearing his thoughts.

He walked over to Zarina, "Hey Zarina...you mind if I join you?" He asked as he stuck his hands in his pockets.

Zarina was having fun with her sand when she ehard him. She jumped slightly and then calmed down when she saw it was only the boy from before. She thought for a second on weither she wanted him to join her or not but after a while she nodded, "sure, go ahead. It is not like I have someone else to talk to." she said and then went back to her sand castles. They littered the side of the beach and seemed to continue to appear here and there.

When she was bored with the sand casltes she started to make the sand move and make faces in the sand. She came it so that the sand had a mouth and seemed to speak. She then turned to Metro, "so what do you want? the only time someone from another cabin talkes to me is when they want something from me. So what do you want? want me to make the earth eat someone? have the sand come alive? shake the earth? waht?" she asked as she looked at him.

Metro looked up from the middle of his own castle building to look at Zarina. "What do I want?" He asked leaning back a bit as he thought. "Well....I don't really want anything. I kinda wanted to say sorry for before. I was kinda an ass to you...." He frowned. "It's going to sound like a lame excuse but it's in my genes..." He shrugged with a small frown.

Metro paused as he thought. "I guess maybe I'd like to be friends....I mean...I'm a loner...you seem like a loner....so we could be loners together...plus your earth powers seem really cool..." He said with a shrug.

Zarina was surprsied when she heard him and stared at him. N oone had ever wanted to say sorry or anything like that. It was the first time and she found that she coudln't help but smile a little, "it is okay, in truth your the only one to ever say sorry to me for anything so it is kind of nice." she said as she looked at him.

She then smirked, "I am glad that my powers impress you, most people just fear me since i have them. But if you really want to be friends with me then I think we can be." she said as she looked at him.

Metro looked at her and grinned, "Really awesome…" he smiled happily. He was really glad since he was really crappy in the friend department. But something about Zarina was different. It was a little bit scary but Metro loved scary things. He smiled as he thought, "You know if the two of us went on a quest together we could kick some major but…" He said thinking. "Like the way you killed that monster when I first got here…" He said.

He fell silent after that looking at Zarina for a it before returning to his sand castle. "You know your energy is different from most Demi-gods…" He said thoughtfully. "Stronger and golder…" he frowned, "Almost like a gods…but different…" He said. Looking back up at her.

Zarina smiled at him and then nodded, "yeah we could be awsome together but the thing is that chiron doesn't let me go to far from the camp. What you saw was the extent of how far he lets me go. I mean I have gotten great at killing things but he wont let me go anywhere." she said and sighed, "he is like my dad but it sucks." she said as she looked at Metro, "but maybe he will let me out since i have you." she said.

She then smirked, "your not hte first one to say that. Some of the other people in camp say that too. They say that it is too weird and un demi-god like. So I have been a outcast most of my life here." she said as she looked at him and then smiled, "but it is fun being a outcast, it means I get to use my powers against them." she said.

Metro grinned happily, "Yeah high five for abuse of power!" He said with a happy laugh, "But I know how an overprotective parent can be. My mom is always terrified that I'm going to die…you think that after she had a kid with Hades death would have a different meaning to her but alas no…" He sighed shaking his head.

"But if he doesn't let us go we can jus sneak out right?" He said with a cunning smirk. "Plus I think your energy is cool…like something exotic…" he shrugged. "Or you know deadly…" He smiled.

Zarina laughed whens he heard him, "I wish I could abuse my powers but I have a limit." she said and then pointed to the neckless around her neck. "if I use to much power this knocks me out and I cant take it off. Chiron enchanted it so that i cant take it off or anything like that. So he really is very protective." she said as she looked at him.

She then smiled a little bit, "that sounds like alot of fun so why not? lets sneak out." she said as she smiled at him, "I know it is deadly, I have killed many people by accident." he said.

Metro nodded quickly as he thought, "Would it be possible for me to remove it?" He asked curriously. It seemed like a strange idea, but maybe the necklace thing was what was holding him back from figuring out what she was. He looked at her thoughtfully, "If we want to sneak out were going to need some food..." He grinned as he thought.

"Plus I thought I heard you say something about a Volcano when I first came here...." He said shooting Zarina a toothy grin. "Do you know how much damage I could to with a Volcano? I always wanted to make one erupt..." He laughed at the idea. It amused him. It would definitely kill some people unless he could control the lava...maybe the two of them could together if they combined their powers.
