Corey grinned and splashed her back, shielding his eyes.
Of course, Vyren saw that they were splashing each other and decided that was good enough to mean playtime. So he splashed both of them, practically drenching both of them. |
That, of course, was Lapis's cue to step in and 'protect' Faith, splashing Vyren back as Faith got her own revenge on Corey. She splashed him back before taking cover behind one of her dragon's wings, laughing.
|
Corey dunked under the water again, avoiding being splashed, and swam over to Faith, pulling her down under with him. Vyren kept splashing, having way too much fun to stop the splashing war with Lapis.
|
Faith managed to take a breath before Corey pulled her under. She didn't think she'd be having this much fun, but she was. Lapis was having fun, too, keeping up with the splashing war with Vyren.
|
Corey let go of her so she could get up to breathe again, and he swam back behind Vyren so he could catch his breath as well.
He was having a lot more fun than he'd planned on. |
Faith went and took refuge behind one of her dragon's wings again to catch her breath. She was still giggling between breaths. After a moment or two, she peeked out from behind her 'shield.'
|
Corey had hauled himself up on Vyren's back, out of the way of his wings as the two dragons attempted to drown each other playfully. He was laughing quietly as he watched them, shaking his head to get some of the water out.
|
Faith climbed up onto Lapis's back and got comfortable. She laughed a bit as the dragons kept splashing each other and tried to wring her hair out a bit so it wouldn't drip anymore.
|
Corey couldn't help but grin when Vyren tried to use his tail to splash too. It didn't work so well, but it was hilarious to watch.
|
Lapis fanned her wings a bit to keep the splash away from Faith, and then sent some water back at Vyren.
"I think they're having fun," Faith called to Corey. |
"I think so," Corey called back with a grin. "I don't think they'll stop for a while now."
Vyren proved that by continuing to splash, showing no signs of stopping. This was way too fun. |
Faith laughed and wiped some water out of her eyes when Vyren splashed them again. She could barely see without her glasses on, but it didn't matter. She could tell which blobs were which. She grinned when Lapis sent a wave of water back at them.
|
Xander wandered over to find out what all the noise was about. Then she raised her eyebrows when she saw them.
Corey immediately froze and stared at her like a deer in headlights. |
Faith noticed her as well and froze.
"Hi...?" she offered. |
"Were you two... flirting?" she asked, rather incredulous.
"No," Corey said, glancing over at Faith. "Um." |
"No!" Faith protested immediately, looking from Xander to Corey and back. After a moment, she added, "...maybe?"
|
Xander snickered. "Uh huh. Sure." She rolled her eyes at them.
Corey pouted a little. |
Faith blushed a bit at Xander's teasing and hoped nobody saw it.
"Just playing in the water," she said. |
"Uh huh. Sure." Xander smirked. "I'll let you two get back to playing, then."
Corey blinked at the insinuation in her voice, then shook his head. She was hopeless. |
Faith heard the insinuation as well.
"Really, it was just a splashing fight," she said. "Hell, the dragons did most of the splashing." |
Xander just smirked. "Have fun, kiddies," she said, waving briefly before leaving, heading back to Calypso.
Corey shook his head. "Honestly," he grumbled. |
After a moment, Faith started giggling a bit.
"I guess we do look a little suspicious," she said to Corey. "A night swim and all that..." She didn't mention that she'd been flirting back. |
Corey chuckled. "Yeah, I know. Oh well." He grinned at her.
"At least this was fun." |
"This was a lot of fun," Faith agreed, grinning.
|
"Maybe we can do it again sometime," Corey suggested rather hopefully. He kind of liked this. It was fun.
