Shouki stays close to Asher, his ears sticking out of the bandanna thing a bit, twitching. He doesn't want to be alone in this strange house. It just feels weird to him, like he's an intruder or something. "I'm sure. Whatever you want to cook is fine by me. Long as it's edible...I'm happy." He just follows Asher. "Do you want me to help cook? I can help if you won't....I don't mind." He's kind of fidgety/anxious right now, but he's trying to calm that down. "What are you going to cook?" He tilts his head a bit with question.

"But....I only gave you two...." Just something to cook...even if Shouki had to do it himself would be good enough to him, but he gets lonely sometimes. Which is the main reason he accepted this offer. He smiles back at Asher. "Curry sounds good." Anything sounds good to him really. He has never been too picky of an eater. Shouki makes the weirdest noise ever uttered by him as Asher pulls off the bandanna. It's like in slow motion minus the deep sounding noooooooooooooo. Shouki just whines, a bit loudly, as his fox ears can now be seen, and he looks like all he wants to do is dart away as fast as he can.

Shouki kind of paws at his bag, backing away a bit. His ears flatten back as he kind of bows his head, his eyes darting a bit-looking for the best way out if need or want be. "Um....they're real." He says extremely quietly. "And I....they're just real/ They're fox ears...." He's not going to mention the tail he has hidden underneath his skirt like garment. It's bad enough that Asher saw the ears. Actually, he's surprised Asher isn't calling him a demon or something and chasing him off. Wouldn't most people do that? Something they don't understand...?

As Asher takes a step away, Shouki starts edging towards the nearest exit. He doesn't want to be trapped in here....especially since he doesn't know Asher too well. But at the question, he stops and tilts his head, his fox ears at attention and twitching. "....you....want to touch them?" He seems confused by the question in a way. Why would anyone want to touch his ears? IT doesn't make sense to Shouki here. "I....guess you can." His ears are twitching a lot now. "I...don't see why not." But he makes no move to get closer to Asher yet.

Shouki is fidgeting too. It's only because he's anxious. He's been socialized in a way....but he's not used to being alone with people much. Most of his interaction is in the market. He starts chewing on a fingernail as a nervous reaction. He whines softly as Asher comes closer. He can't help it; he hasn't let anyone touch his ears...or see them for that matter. He tries to keep them...and the tail hidden at all times pretty much. As Asher touches his ear, he automatically leans into the touch making a small displeased noise when Asher pulls away. "...sorry." Talking about the noise. His ears are twitching again...along with his tail which the movement might be noticed even with the cloth covering.

Apparently Shouki likes his ears to be touched. "....sorry." He didn't mean to make that noise. It just kind of came out by itself. Shouki squawks kind of as Asher lifts it to see the tail. He whines loudly before going to dart. But like in any movie, he doesn't go out the door. He could only think to go and hide. So he ends up darting and hiding in one of the closets in the house. He just curls up there, wrapping his tail around himself as his ears flatten back. As he sits there, thinking about it, tears start leaking out. He can't go back to the market now, people will know, so what can he do now? To get food and all? He whines again from in the closet.

Shouki couldn't help himself. He's been terrified of someone finding out since this happened. He might not have been completely oblivious to this tail and ear thing. It would eventually happen and he knew it would, but hat doesn't mean he was prepared for it. He whines and shifts in the closet as he hears Asher outside of the closet. He can't help it..;.his way to make money....get food....it's probably over now, isn't it? He whines yet again at his words, his ears dropping. "You won't tell anyone?" He's doing some chibi eyes and they're a bit watery. He doesn't want to find another city to sell in. He isn't sure how far they are mile or time wise. And it'd get dark on the way....and he'd be alone which means horrible things could happen to him.

"You won't tell anyone....." Shouiki sighs, relieved. He won't have to leave the area which means he won't have to walk in the dark and possibly have very bad things, that he refuses to imagine, happen to him while he walks. He's not sure what other people's reaction to the tail and ears would be....but he doubts that it would be as....positive as this reaction. He kind of squeaks a bit, surprised, as Asher hugs him. His ears are twitching a lot before he shifts a bit to nuzzle into Asher a bit. Now if he was asked why.....he wouldn't have an answer for that one. It just feels like the right thing to do, so he did it.".....don't be sorry..." It's not like Asher could predict what was there...it isn't like tails an ears are normal appendages for humans.

Shouki looks at him with his head tilted and ears twitching. "Wouldn't have anyone to tell? Why not?" His ears flatten a bit. "You have friends, right?" Everyone does, right? Or..at least people they talk to. Shouki doesn't feel the awkwardness that Asher does. Sometimes the market is extremely busy and so, you are extremely close to people. This isn't bad like that. He's not surrounded by people. There's an Asher. Not a big crowd of people. Apparently meal is a trigger word for Shouki's stomach to growl/grumble since it is doing that right now. He pulls himself up, his tail wagging a bit hesitantly. ".....curry?...and it isn't your fault..." Tails and ears are not normal. Shouki knows this....which is why he ran and expected a completely different reaction from Asher.

Shouki whines softly, his ears flattening back. "I was allowed to leave and go do things...but I didn't really have friends....just people I was around....I guess." Shouki isn't very good at making friends, or maybe he just doesn't like calling people friends. Maybe that's part of it too. "If yo don't wanna make it....or cook....that's okay..." He doesn't want to be a bother or impose or anything. His ears and tail are twitching anxiously. Shouki is just seeing things as this: he has the tail and ears. If he didn't, Asher wouldn't have been able to do those things and see the tail and ears. "Ah...okay. What do you want me to do?" He tilts his head a bit.

"I don't really either....I'm usually in the market selling things..." After Shouki gets his orders, "Where is everything?" He doesn't want to go digging through his and his parent's kitchen. It would feel like snooping to him. "Food counts as payment....even if it isn't cooked." It's better than what he has right now, which is nothing. He accepts uncooked food as payment. It isn't that hard to cook it, at least in his mind, so it would be good payment to him. He smiles and his tail is wagging a bit. "I don't know how good of a friend I can be.....but I'd like that." The fact that Asher didn't freak out and call him a demon or something when he saw the ears and tail...that's good enough reason for them to be friends in his mind. Asher is a good person.

Shouki just watches him get the things out. "Thank you." Then he gets to making the rice. "It's not how often you see each other....I don't think....I think it's more of how you get along and stuff." Though he isn't completely sure on that one. He's never had a friend before by his standards so he wouldn't know for sure. "Ah....yes. I have a shack...." He looks around a bit before pointing in a direction. "That way.....I think." It's better than nothing, but it's nothing like this place that Asher lives in. "It keeps out the cold." He shrugs a bit. That's the main thing he wants his shack to do and it does it so he's happy enough with it.

"Yeah....I think so at least. I could be wrong....but how it goes it up to use right?" Shouki has no problem with big gaps of time between seeing him....long as they get to see each other once in awhile. His ears flatten back at the question. Of course Asher would be surprised, he lives in a nice big house like this. A shack probably isn't considered normal....or good enough, but that is all Shouki has. His family disappeared on him and so he built a shack in the woods. "It's better than a cave." He has his head bowed, stirring some rice. "Well....I don't think so....but I didn't choose to live on my own. I just have to." He went kind of late into his kitsune puberty. His family abandoned him before that because that. They thought it was never going to happen and so...he (and by association) they would never fit into the kitsune civilization and so he was abandoned.
