Eric sighed, his turn to get involved wether or not anyone would want him to. Eric used his vampric speed within a matter of a second getting close to Zyrone and knocking him off to the side by the gate making him let go of Nathan. "This time Zyrone, no one is running, I'm getting sick and tired of you pretending to be all tough acting." Eric had a family of 5 older siblings that shared the looks in the family, some more brains than others, his family wasn't the top but was respected and if one vampire of the same clan set a battle with another one of the same clan, it would be refuse and never return or fight till the end. Vampires were more traditional than most would possibly think.

Zyrone fell to his bum and dropped Nathan. "That boy possess the one thing that half-bloods need to be full-bloods... You can't possible tell me that you of all vampires can't tell!" He slowly rose to his feet. "Fine, you wanna fight? Then-- Hu?" His eyes glanced around and locked on Nathan who was glowing, or it looked like he was at least. The spirits were surrounding him like a barrier of some sort. "The Spiritual Essence of the gods...." Zyrone muttered quietly under his breath.

(i know it sounds way out there but it adds a kick yes? O.o)

Eric looked over at Nathan, puzzled, did he miss something about the boy? Seeing the spirits he was now more curious to know more about this boy "Uh okay someone wanna explain? I must've missed that lecture" Eric then remembered what his mother said about the legends and one of them showing what exactly was happening now. "Nevermind" he muttered.

Zyrone pulled Nathan up to his feet, pulling back quickly after he was on his feet. "You are no ordinary neko, but you're also going to be in for a hell of a lifetime when other half-bloods get a whiff of you." Nathan was completely and totally lost and his expression show it. Gods? Spiritual Essence? What the HELL is going on?! He thought, staring at his hands.

"Zyrone back off" Eric stated slightly annoyed, Eric never liked bullies, and with Zyrone, they had never gotten along. Eric moved in between Nathan and Zyrone. "Go home, Zyrone. I would love to see your sister freak out that you left without saying you were hunting" Eric stated wondering what was going on here but first thing to do was make sure the kid was safe. "Or did you have something else in mind"

Zyrone growled under his breath then blinked when Eric mentioned his sister. "Alright, alright! Jeez..." He muttered before storming off. Nathan sat on his mothers tombstone, half relieved and half "what the fuck?". The spirits still lingered around him.

"Do you have any idea, why a bunch of spirits are protecting you neko boy?" Eric asked not taking a liking to him just teasing him like he did plenty of others.

Nathan glanced at him. "Why would I know? No one ever told me this would happen." He shook his head and thought to himself, they couldn't... "You're a vampire right? Were you told about stuff like this?" Nathan looked back at Eric.

"We were told, but, it seems Zyrone knows more, I never paid much attention when it came to schooling let alone anything at home. We could talk to Zyrone, I suppose" he didn't like the fact that the neko would be talking to one that wanted to kill him. "But, you can't come back to our neighborhood"

Nathan gave a small nod. "Got it." Zyrone was heading back to the neighborhood with a sour face. "Little runt doesn't even know what's in store for him." He couldn't help but to laugh at the thought.

"Well lets get you home, I still have hunting to do before the night is over with. Where do you live" Eric asked looking around, he couldn't figure out which house would be his, but, then again he didn't know much about the kid.

Nathan looked up and pointed at a small hut looking building. "That's my house." He leaned away from the tombstone and straightened out before picking up his school bag and starting to walk. "I won't go to your neighborhood, but I'll probably still see you around." Nathan smirked lightly.

"Good, I will talk to you later. oh and here" Eric gave nathan his cell number "if you need anything just ask through here" eric spoke and walked off with vampric speed to catch up with the others. He might have to explain he didn't find a meal tonight but that would be fine, his siblings knew he didn't like to hunt often.

"Yeah..." Nathan muttered quietly as he walked towards his house. Lexi stood the in front door as if waiting for him. He walked inside and Lexi closed the door behind him. "What the hell were you thinking?!" She yelled. Nathan didn't pay hardly any attention to her yelling though and the spirits left, they stayed in the cemetery. He set his bag down and headed to his room. "Nathan! Are you even listening to me? I'm you're older sister!" Nathan's ears twitched and he turned to face his sister. "Get off my back Lexi! Stop treating me like I'm a little kid!" He said before slamming his door closed and plopped onto his bed before rolling over and staring at the ceiling. Lexi stood there, shocked and worried. "Nathan..." She mutters quietly.

Eric headed home, no one really bothered him, he took out his cell texting Zyrone "I want to know what is going on with that brat, any ideas if you can tell me?" he text'd and headed into his room grabbing a soda bottle looking drink that was blood red. He might as well have a snack to help relax him, he was surprised Zyrone had stopped and left so easily.

Zyrone's older sister was yelling at him for going out and not saying he was to be hunting. Zyrone and Eric used to be friends when they were little about 4 or 5 but there was an incident and they both grew up differently. Eric was much more laid back as Zyrone, well you saw.

Zyrone protested against his sister and soon, he locked himself up in his room. Getting a text he checked his phone and rose an eyebrow, texting back; "He's got a sister, why don't you ask her? It might be good for you."

Nathan slowly fell into a black dreamless sleep.

"You really think she would answer from a vamp?" he texted, vampires did sleep if they wanted to but only if.

"It wouldn't hurt to ask." Zyrone texted back.

Lexi was sitting on couch watching t.v.

Eric sighed, he had just gotten in and it was already late enough as it is, not knowing the number of the kid he figured he would wait until afterschool. His school went half a day while the other part of the day he learned at home. It was just something he had to do for his kind and it would involve less invovlment with the sun. As long as he wore his pendent he couldn't be harmed by the sun but staying out too long could make him sick. The next day came, it was a beautiful sunny morning with few clouds in the sky, the weather was nice for that time of year. Eric woke to the sun shining on his bed, most people thought vamps slept in coffins, but, the only ones that affected were older ones.

Nathan was still in bed, tossing and turning before jolting up out of from under neath the covers. "Thank god it was just a dream!" He looked himself over just to be sure. Lexi knocked on his door before entering. "You alright? I heard yelling.." He turned to her and let out of nervous chuckle. "Y-yeah, I'm fine." She smirked. "Good." Lexi left his door open and headed to the kitchen to make him breakfast.

Eric went to take a shower, peeling off his clothes, he stepped into the hot shower. Luckily he was kind of not a full vampire which was good to him, he coudl still get cold and hot like everyone else. Washing up his body and hair with cherry blossom surprise shampoo and cologne scented bath soap. He finished up drying off and headed to his closet picking out the usual, jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. Heading out he grabbed his snack bag he always took to school along with a breakfast bag his father prepared for him. Mother was always out later and never returned until the night. He raced out of his house and on his way to school. He still had about an hour left to go before school but went to check up on the brat.

Nathan slid out of bed and cleaned up before getting dressed even though today was an off day for his school. Lexi was humming quietly to herself as she cooked. Sometimes she thought he was a brat because he could never make any friends because of his bloodline but she never told Nathan anything about it.. He just needed someone that wasn't her to show they cared about him. She sighed softly at the thought and shook her head so she could focus on making breakfast.

A knock at the door sounded as Eric waited dressed up nicely in blue jeans, sneakers, and white buttoned up t-shirt. Waiting there he ran his hands throughout his hair wondering if Nathan was there or if he had left yet. Eric would just say that he was a friend of Nathan's to earn a bit of trust but like all vampire rules, he wouldn't be able to go in unless invited in first. It was a main rule and it would soon hopefully not exist but as tradition follows tradition goes.

Lexi blinked and looked up. "A visitor?" She turned off the stove and went to answer the door. Upon opening it she examined the boy and blinked a few times. "Um, hello.. How can I help you?" She asked, motioning for the boy to come inside. Nathan's ears twitched slightly and he poked his head out of his doorway. "?"

"My name is Eric, I'm a friend of Nathan's. I was going to walk to school with him today if that was alright with you?" Eric spoke wanting to enter but couldn't without the words.
