By the time he had said her name, she was already sleeping soundly from being so worn down by the events that occurred today, that and having a belly full the best gumbo she'd ever had. Jack was here too, which seemed to turn her world up-side-down and give her life a whole new meaning that she couldn't explain.

When he felt that Jun had already left the conscious world, Jack took a breath of relief. He really had let this girl live another day. Carefully, he took his free hand and swept her feet up onto the bed so she could lie completely down making sure not to wake her up. Jack leaned over her and kissed her forehead- he felt at peace with himself knowing that she was asleep and the world was quiet.

Jack didn't keep track of the time after then. He could see the moon in a few different positions in the sky from out the window as he continued to watch Jun sleep. Somewhere along the lines, though, he too eventually ended up falling into a deep sleep.

A few hours before the time Jun normally got up to get ready for school she sat up and looked around the room, confused for a moment until her eyes fell on Jack. 'That's right... Last night really happened, it wasn't a dream~' She quietly slipped off the edge of the bed and stood for a minute to wake up faster.

Jack had drifted in and out of sleep the entire night so that it felt like he was lying in a single place forever. By early morning, though, his drifts had stopped and he was officially asleep. That is, until Jun got up.

Jack started to turn in his sleep soon after Jun had gotten up. Startled and afraid that he had bumped into Jun, his eyes shot open and nearly gave him a heart attack when he realized that Jun wasn't right next to him. Under normal circumstances, Jack would have been afraid by simply existing in a place other than his house, but his subconscious whereabouts of the house he was at had already kicked in. "Jun," he said, turning over and feeling a wave of relief to see her there. His body told him that it wasn't time to get up for school, though. 'What is she doing up so early..?'

She turned around when she heard her name and blinked. "Did I wake you? I'm sorry if i did." Jun spoke softly in a tender voice.

Jack sat up when he'd finally located where Jun had gotten off to. He looked around and stretched a bit before gently placing two feet on the ground, still drowsy. "It's early enough that I can still get back and change.." he thought aloud. "Jun, what are you doing up so early anyway?"

She giggles a little and shrugs. "Beats me." Jun answers honestly. She did feel fulling rested though, so maybe that was why?

Jack blinked twice sleepily as Jun giggled and realized that even though it was a school day and he had ran around the day before, he was awake as ever. 'I wonder how early it is,' he thought plainly. "Hm.. Jun- I've gotta get back to my place before school starts," he said. Jack usually got his belongings to school before his friends arrived so he didn't look like a complete nerd. "Do you wanna come along?"

Jun thinks a moment before smirking. "I'd love to." She answers a little too cheerful and flushes lightly.

Jack smiled and stretched as he stood up completely. Then, he turned to Jun and motioned to the door. The house she lived at wasn't difficult to navigate and get out the front door, so Jack decided to be the one to lead Jun to his house. He stepped through the hallway and past the kitchen. Jack didn't know if Sabrina would be up by then, so he made the effort not to make too much noise. When he reached the front door, he spun around on his heels as he took a hold on the door knob. "Do you need to get your things?" he asked quietly.

Jun followed him then stopped when he did and motioned for him to wait just a minute, before she went down the hall passed the guest room and into her room to swiftly gather her things. Since her aunt put them there on a regular basis. She re-joined Jack by the door with her handbag of books and other school-needed-objects over her shoulder. "Ready."

Jack couldn't help but laugh softly when Jun returned- it seemed so orderly yet so normal. He turned the door knob to let Jun and himself out into the open; out towards Jack's house. He didn't exactly have his bearings but he knew that he wasn't too far away, since some of the turns they'd taken to get to Jun's house were similar to the ones he'd take if Jack had a car. 'I don't even like cars,' he thought. Jack almost always preferred trains or any other type of "rail" car that didn't get interrupted by other movables. He found himself walking almost beside Ren if he wasn't leading to turn a corner. As the streets began to seem more modern and the houses grew to be bigger in comparison to their corresponding yards, Jack knew that he was getting closer to home. The sky was a pink-orange color already. Finally, he came to the end of a big cul-de-sac, he pointed to the house slightly off-center to the right. "That's mine." Inside, though, Jack just hoped that he wasn't locked out. He hated breaking into places in front of others, it made him feel so unclean.

Jun followed him without any trouble and tilted her head when they reached his place. "Wow." It was clear she'd never been on this side of town, even if her house was so close. She glanced at Jack and giggled quietly under her breath. Jun could could guess what he was thinking but she wasn't laughing at him, he was just too cute for his own good.

Jack kept walking until he'd come to the tall, deep-green front door of his house. It matched the bigger trees that grew just past his back yard. The entire housing plan was starting to dig into the forest that once flourished in that area. There was a small "Welcome" mat beneath his feet. He tried to turn the door-knob, but it was locked. He sighed and took a step backwards, realizing that he stepped down. "A-hah," he said as he flipped part of the mat over, revealing a shiny silver key.

He put the key into the door and clicked the lock open. This was probably the hundredth time that Jack had come home later than curfew. The entire house was dark when jack stepped in, but the sunlight was peeking through his closed blinds. "After you~" he spoke to Jun, leaving the door wide open for her.

Jun slowly walked inside and moved aside so she wasn't blocking Jack as she got a glimpse of the house. "Your house is really nice." She says in slight awe.

Jack closed the door lightly and hesitated. It was suddenly too dark again. He reached behind himself instinctively and pulled down on the little beaded string to turn on a dim lamp. "Thanks, but this place is nothing- trust me." he reassured Jun, suppressing a sour expression. "It might look nice, but no one lives here- nothing ever feels like home, all we do is tidy it up, and all my parents do is complain about the cost of maintaining the damn thing. I can't even throw my shoes where I want to-" Jack pointed to underneath the table the lamp was at. There was a neat row of shoes lined up by size; a gap between a few of the biggest and the medium sized shoes indicated that the pair Jack had on would fit right in. "Truly, Jun, I like your house more."

Jack smiled and looked towards the center of the house. "Here, I'll go get my stuff real quick and we can go." he added at last before softly running down the main hallway and turning up a flight of stairs into the darkness.

Jun frowned a little when she heard how- harsh his home life was. She sighed quietly and stood by the door to wait for Jack. She had a feeling that school would be interesting today for more reasons than one.

[[ Hm, I wonder if a school newspaper with information about Jun's last 'fall' and the restaurant explosion- obliteration- would stir things up at all. What do you think? ]]

Jack returned back into the main hallway with a flattened black backpack slung over his left shoulder. "Okay, we're set," he said. He opened the front door and re-locked it from one side. Jack had already slipped the key into his back pocket, too. He stood aside for Jun to go first yet again. He tried not to think about the moment he'd have to bid her farewell for a day at school. Jack didn't remember having any classes with her.

After sometime of walking hand-in-hand the school finally came into view and Jun glanced at him. "Meet me here after school?" She asks quietly, wanting the day to be over with already- and it hadn't even begun yet!

Jack's spirits dimmed a bit as he looked at his school more and more, but they didn't die. "Sure," he said to Jun. Jack decided to leave out the detail that his school day technically ended earlier than Jun's did since he placed out of a class. His reasons were absolutely legit, though. One, he didn't want Jun ditching school- or any more of it if she already did. That was an absolute boundary that would not change unless she wanted to at her own will. Two, that was gang time. Jack had walked off the day before and needed to catch up on some things.

The first (of two) school bells rung. It signaled that students could enter the hallways and have a period to get to their home room class. Jack turned towards Jun and took her other hand in his. He kissed her softly and sweetly before letting go. "See you, ma chérie~" he cooed before waving and heading off towards one of the school buildings and his first class.

Jun blushed when he kissed her and she gave a light wave as she watched him walk away before turning and heading towards home room with an actual smile after she managed to stop giggling. She took her seat in the back of the classroom, where she always sat, giving a few people her death glare just because it got people to leave her alone. Well, there was more to it than but it's what it came down to.

Throughout the day, Jack heard a lot of comments about the restaurant fire. Other than that, it was pretty normal. Except for the fact that the restaurant was probably the biggest topic. He'd heard numerous rumors from idiot chefs blowing up one of their flaming dishes to something as insane as the soviet terrorists (as well as many other terrorist groups) secretly making their moves to destroy the country. Jack pretty much ignored those rumors and stuck to his work. He overheard a few groups of people talking about him rescuing Jun from a suicide attempt. 'The poor folk- if only they understood my hearing.' he would think after every episode. That is, before his mind returned to the insane events that occurred when he was with Jun. 'That girl is something special.'

After her last class Jun went to her locker to put her books up, practically her entire bad since there was no homework then closed her locker. '3.. 2.. 1..' She counted down to when Josh walked up to her and leaned against her locker. "Hey Jun, we had a deal remember? You didn't full fill your end of the bargain so pay up." Jun thought a moment then smirked. She'd pay up alright. *SLAM* The girl had hit Josh hard enough to hurt her own hand and give him a bloody nose. "Pick on someone your own size." She said before simply stepping over him and continuing her way outside to meet Jack with a since of pride she'd never felt before.

Jack had just about gotten away from his gang like he always did when his co-"leader", Tristan, called him from behind some tree out of nowhere for not being completely "in it" that day. 'If I hadn't known any better I'd say someone drugged'ya by the look on that face of yours,' he said.

"Yeah, sure," Jack said, slightly annoyed. When Tristan went to go stop Jack for being an idiot, Jack turned around on a dime and put his hands up. "Okay, you got me. I'm going to find Jun." Jack left Tristan hanging before the boy could ask any more questions. Within minutes, Jack was back and waiting for Jun at the same place they usually met. He watched the clock on his phone tick down to the bell before he put it away and started to scan the crowds of people flooding out from the school.

Jun came out of the school building and made her way towards Jack, hugging him as soon as she got the chance.
