Vail was a strange child. Between his dyed red and pink-tipped hair, to his combat boots, and button down shirts. However, he was smart. He had a near genius IQ. Those weren't the strangest things about him, though. That would be his control over fire. It was a very strong control.

It wasn't like he could send flames from his fingers, or...he didn't think he could. He could, however, control an already raging fire--calming it to the point of stopping-- and create rings of fire from a simple spark. Only his family knew about it though, and it made him a freak within his family.

Currently, Vail was in his abstract drawings class. Art was one of his favorite subjects, and unlike chemistry or other things, there was nothing he could catch fire. School was the only place he felt at home. He had a decent amount of artistic friends, and no one knew about his powers, so that was a plus. Art was the only thing that kept him sane at home.

He leaned over the paper. Today's drawing was an abstract version of a natural disaster. He could have gone obvious, bit instead he went challenging and picked a tsunami. He bit his lower lip as he drew, oblivious to the rest of the world.

Yuki was a pretty normal kid. Or so one would think. He did get average grades, got bullied, besides his pale skin and white and black hairs and probably his collar/necklace, he didn't exactly seem like anything special. Which was something he'd like to keep that way.

Since he was special.. He could freeze things, objects and people.. probably everything that even contained the slightest bit of fluid. That was all he'd tried already, so he wasn't exactly sure what else he could do. He did try to keep himself from doing that. Eventhough he would love to freeze those damned jocks, pushing him around and taking his stuff.

Right now, he was sneaking over to his locker, it was still a few minutes before the bell rang so he was trying to get there before the bullies would catch sight of him. -Triiiiing!-

Oh damn, there they were already... He let out a small squeak as he was slammed into his locked. "Lemme go!" Yuki struggled as he didn't exactly want to get beaten up or use his powers, that would attract way too much attention...
