Frost looked at her. He was slightly confused by her reaction, then he smiled a little more. After she was done stuttering he chuckled softly. "Thats cute." That was all he said. It really was cute to him too. 'hi' was the only thing she said that was remotely intelligible. It was funny that she was so flustered that she couldn't think enough to talk.

Ohhh!!! Don't call her cute! Kara's cheek flushed a bright red and she looked away again. She wasn't even paying attention to the fact that her hair was a glorified fuzz ball and that her wings and clothes had dried funny. Her make-up was probably ruined from the crying and rainstorm too. For that matter, her eyes were probably still red. Her eyes flitted to the door, waiting for Flare and Void. "So, um... Flare and Void have been gone for awhile now... I wonder... wonder why. I mean... it... it's not like we're still doing anything that might warrant the need for privacy. Hey, um... why are you looking at me like that?" she asked. Fess up, jerk! er... no, he wasn't a jerk. He was wonderful and amazing. She wanted to feel his arms around her again, to feel... oh heck no Don't go there. Admit that you might be falling for him, but do not, I repeat do not fantasize about him!

Frost smiled and shrugged. "Flare and Void probably just left. They think its natoriously hard to calm me down. I just like being difficult for them." He then sighed softly and watched her for a moment. "What do you mean, how am I looking at you?" He wasn't really aware of the heavy gaze he had still in his eyes. She was so much easier to get along with for some reason. She didn't bite his head off for everything he said. Even if she didn't like what she said, she wouldn't treat him like a monster. This was all new and he liked it. It warmed his heart, which was weird for someone known to have an 'icy' disposition.

Kara was scared. No... she was terrified. She didn't want to lie to him or anything, but she didn't want to admit that she'd fallen for him... hard. Crap, she just admitted it. She bit her lip and looked down. What was she going to do? You, um... you're just have a really... heavy gaze or something" she answered. That gaze could only mean one thing. He was falling for her, whether he realized it or not. But they had two different sets of values! It would never work.

Deciding she'd looked at the floor long enough, she looked around. Bad idea. Her eyes landed on a reflective surface and she became fully aware of the state her hair was in. Now, she wasn't really a vain person, but she liked to look nice. Now, here she was, looking horrible, in front of Frost. Her eyes widened and slowly her breathing quickened. She was almost too shocked to scream. "Never mind... of course you're staring at me like that" she mumbled. Now she truly was feeling faint. Why was she making such a big deal out of this? Oh yeah, because Frost was here! He probably thought she was ugly now! She gripped the edge of the table to try and steady herself, the shock was just too much. Alright, which way was she going to go? Backwards into her chair, or forwards into Frost's arms. Forwards, it required less aim. Ah! There's that familiar, wonderful feeling of being in his arms. "I'm... I'm sorry, I don't really feel all that great right now" she apologized as she gripped onto his shirt to stay upright. Dangerous position; it was for that reason that she refused to look up into his eyes... even if she kind of wanted to see those wonderful eyes of his again.

Frost extremely confused all of a sudden. She was acting like she was scared. He tilted his head slightly and watched her. When she looked in the mirror, he couldn't help but grin a little. Her hair was a mess, but it was kinda cute. It was almost like it matched her odd behavior. "Kara..." He said softly to get her attention when she looked like she was going to have a heart attacked. He caught her when she fell, easily. He then wrapped an arm around her waist to keep her steady and gently pressed her head against his chest with the other. "Its ok. Just relax." He wanted to help her, because now he was worried she really was sick. He'd caused it and would take care of her, but he didn't want her to faint on him.

Kara let out a whine "relax!? How can I relax!? My hair's a mess! It's supposed to be soft and flowing, now it's a messy, tangled puff ball! it's going to take hours with the proper products to just untangle this disaster, let along make it smooth and flowing again! It's a horrible disaster and I'm not going to be going home until who knows when! Oh dear" Her voice had been getting higher and higher and her breathing quicker and quicker as she spoke, until she felt her head beginning to spin. She gripped Frost's shirt again and laid her head on his chest. Oh wow... what a wonderful sound. "I don't know why I'm making such a big deal out of this... I'm not a vain person, really I'm not... I just... like to look pretty, or like a fairy version of wind itself. It's my own fault..." she paused to let another delicate sneeze, but then raged ahead full force. "I mean, I should know better than to use a twister to dry myself off when I'm soaked, I really should know better. Wind is not very kind in how it drys people. Wonderful if you're damp, not so much when soaked. Ohhhhhhhh I just look awful, don't I?" she asked, looking up at the end, a miserable pout on her face.

Frost just smiled softly down at her a let her rant. He did think it was cute the way she whined over how messy her hair was. Her makeup had run a little now that he was looking. Her clothes matted to her at odd angles. He looked down at her and just smiled when she looked at him. "I don't think so." Her eyes seemed to attact him like a moth to a flame, but he blinked just in time and kissed her on the forehead. "You look adorable."

Kara's eyes widened slightly when Frost's lips touched her forehead. She stood still and silent for a few moments before she buried her face into his chest "You're just saying that because you don't want me to go into hysterics again" she mumbled into his chest. Oh gosh, he'd almost kissed her... well... he did, but he almost kissed her on the mouth! "Besides" she began again, her voice shaking from the panic that came with... well... whatever they were doing "girls may like being called adorable, but women like to be called pretty, or beautiful. The endearments one would use for a mature woman, not for a young girl. The transition from 'cute' and 'adorable' to 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous' means a lady has matured enough to go from being a child to being an adult" she added. Well... Void and Flare aren't going to come in, but they might peek in to see how things were going... 'oh! I bet they will!! Then they'll see Frost holding me like this... He'll probably kiss me eventually, I can feel it. They'll peek in when he does that!' she thought to herself

Kara froze when she heard Frost's comment about her hysterics. She backed up and looked at him, doubt in her eyes "have you ever actually met a woman, Frost? That's the number one complaint women make, especially if there's a hot fairy involved, of course they'd do that anyway whether there was a fairy involved or not" she informed him. How could he possibly make that accusation!? Hadn't he ever had a girlfriend, or even a girl friend? Oh crap... she didn't just suggest that she might think he's hot, did she? Oh, hope not... that might not go so well.

Kara rolled her eyes "no, it's a woman thing. Just because you've never heard any dark fairies go into hysterics doesn't mean they didn't. 1) I doubt you've been there when they were preparing for a date with a fairy they really like. Seriously, it's a war zone. 2) Most of the time, women don't rant about their hair. 3) The only reason I'm ranting to you is because I have to deal with this until I can get home because my products are at home. Seriously, I highly doubt you have the proper products needed since most of my products are bought in a shop that sits on a cloud. It specializes in products for wind fairies. Plus this" she paused to flick his hair. Oh gosh, that was divine "too silky and short to tangle so you likely don't have detanglers." Oh no... why did she have to go and touch his hair? It was just too amazing.

Kara rose an eyebrow "why in the world would you want that? If we're going to the clouds we might as well stop by my place to get my stuff. Unless you want stuff for yourself or something" she asked, eyeing him suspiciously. "But... I guess if you really want to then we can..." she agreed and pushed a lock of hair from her face. Oh my gosh... it was a frizzball!!! She squeaked as she managed to hold in her scream. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath "I am so" she paused to let out an unexpected sneeze "killing you later" she deadpanned. Yeah, they were basically teasing each other.

Frost smiled and nodded. "I'm just curious is all. Plus, you need the stuff right?" He watched her until she sneezed, then nodded. "You may try if you wish." Just him releasing his aura made her scream when she tried coming in the door earily.

Kara scoffed and pushed him against the table, getting all up close and personal. "Oh please, I could wrap you around my little finger if I wanted. You'd kill yourself if I wanted you to" she teased, adding a wink at the end. Okay... time to back away now... Why am I not backing away?

Frost was a little surprised by being pushed, but resisted his instincts to lash out with his power. He grinned slightly after a moment. He looked down at her, getting an inch from her lips. He breathed softly against them, then smiled. "I will not until you say I can." Then he pulled back and looked down at her.

Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh... oh, whew. Kara's face was blushing brightly and it took a few seconds after he pulled back before his words clicked in her mind "that... didn't make any sense at all... you won't do what? kill yourself? that suggests that all that's keeping you from killing yourself is me" she said. Wait a minute "that's... not true, is it? Please tell me that's not true!" she begged, hurriedly snatching the front of his shirt and raising up on her toes so their eyes were practically level. If anyone was wrapped about anybody's finger... it was her around his. She talked big, but he manipulated her so easily.

Frost looked at her for a moment, completely confused. Then he looked right at her when she got close again. "Actually...no. I didn't mean anything that extreme. I meant....that I wouldn't kiss you without your permission." His voice got a little quiet towards the end of that. He sort of stared at her, but in an adoring way.

Kara's face blushed a bright red, but she could bring herself to pull away to give him some space. "G-great... I, um... I would hate for my... my, um... scenario to, uh... to be the case. Right, um... I... uh... that is... I... um... I should probably give you some personal space, huh?" she asked. She actually couldn't believe that she managed to get that across. At least it's better than 'hi.' Good new is... if he wants verbal permission, they're never going to kiss. Bad news is, that means they're never going to kiss. Yes, she'll admit it... she totally wants to snog him. But in that case, the good news is, if he's ok with body language, then he'll probably end up getting plenty of those signs... like now.

Frost just chuckled softly as she stuttered again. "You're not used to this are you?" He shook his head and gently released her hands from his shirt and took a step back. "I wouldn't want to compromise you in any way. If I don't get your permission for certain things, they will never happen." He gave her a kind smile. "You two can come in now." He didn't even say it very loudly. Void came in with a grin and Flare came in like she was a little girl that got caught spying.

Kara's face blushed even deeper. Suddenly, anger rose in her chest "you knew they were there and you didn't tell me? You didn't think that maybe our conversation was going into an area where I might appreciate a bit of privacy? Wow... At the risk of making you upset again... I have to say... that's pretty jerky" she commented and left the room. She wasn't hungry anymore, she just wanted to brood, but not necessarily away from him. She was just hurt. 'The jerk... he knew they were there and he was totally leading the conversation deeper. The jerk! I knew we'd never work out. Someone was bound to get hurt. But... I didn't think it would happen so fast' she mused as she looked out the window, reclining on a cloud. Alright... maybe she'll go back, she was getting kind of hungry... but he'd have to come get her so he could apologize.

Frost blinked and watched her leave. Than he sighed and rubbed his head. "You know I only knew you were there a minute ago." He shook his head. He didn't think that he needed to apologize this time. It wasn't his fault they were spying. She would come back when she was hungry. He slumped down on the couch. He couldn't help feeling it was his fault she exploded again though.

It was raining outside. She knew that feeling, but she had not desire to get soaked to the bone again. Instead, she just lounged out on her cloud and watched it rain. Her stomach grumbled, but she ignored it. She'd go without dinner if she had to. But she didn't want to be around him until he apologized for what he did, even if it was completely different then what she thought. He should at least have the decency to talk to her and explain what was going on. Until then... she was going to be stubborn and starve.

Frost sighed and looked at Flare. "So. You made steak? May I have some?" Flare smiled and nodded, going into the kitchen to grab a few plates. Once she came back, Frost stood and took his plate into the room that Kara was in. He knocked gently on the door. "Kara. Open the door."
