Dalea looked at him, disbelieving. "Well...I don't..." She looked a little sad. She truely didn't know what she'd do if she had a child. Especially since it wouldn't be fully human. Of course she'd keep it, but that would mean a huge change in her life. She didn't even know what kind of change.
"You could come live with me..." he didn't know if shed like the idea, but it would at least keep her and her child safe. He knew he could protect them plus he had gaurds since his dad was so special.
Dalea looked at him, her eyes wide. "But...wouldn't I not fit in where you're from?" She didn't want to be harrased just because she was human. She wouldn't want him to be looked at oddly and she would NOT put up with her child be harrased.
"No,no in my world humans are not looked down on, we hide only for our own safety. The human world is a dangerous place. Our world is much calmer." he smiled. "You would be welcomed warmly. My father is in the government and you have much money and respect."
Dalea looked at him, her eyes going soft. "I wouldn't want to force you to take me because I forgot to make you wear it." She sighed and moved so he was beside her. Her hand gently rested on his cheek. "I never want to force you to do anything..."
He looked at her in disbelief. "But I want you with me always! Even if you don't get pregnant I want you to remain with me."
Dalea looked at him with almost sad eyes. "Kyo...I don't know if I could. I mean...I did only just meet you." She gently ran her hand down to his chest. "I...I don't know if I could give up my life. Just like that."
He nodded. "I understand. Your right. I should have thought about that." he felt sad. He knew he couldn't ask her to give everything up. She didn't want to leave he could tell. He smiled. "I'll always remember you though." he could hide most of his pain but not quite all of it. His voice was a little flat.
Dalea sighed and snuggled against his chest. "I'm not denying you completely...I'm just asking for some time. Alright?"
He nodded yes, but knew he only had three days until he had to go back. It could be months, years, or even hundreds of years before he got a chance to return. Elves were immortals and could not age unless brought into the human world. This is why elven children were raised among humans. Elven water it's self kept one young. She could be dead before he came back. He didn't tell her that. He would tell her when it was time. Right now he wanted to enjoy being around her. He knew he wouldn't enjoy it as much because he knew he was leaving so soon. It would have been better if he was younger, but because he was of age he had to live among his kind. If je had been one year younger he'd been able to stay with her. He felt sad at this thought.
Dalea could tell she'd made him sad. But, how could she leave her life to go with him? She would admit that she felt a strong pull toward him that might become love one day. But, humans didn't believe in running away with someone you just met anymore. She kissed his chest softly, trying to distract him from his sad thoughts.
He pretended to be fine, but deep down inside he felt terrible. He didn't want to live with his people. He wanted to stay with her and to grow old with her. He tried to push his feeling aside.
Dalea was suddenly scared of losing him. She looked up at him, fear in her eyes. "Will you stay here? At least for a little while?" She knew she couldn't ask him to stay here forever, but she wanted to be with him as long as she could.
His sadness was now very deep and writen all over his face. "I have to leave in three day." he felt all the sadness crush him now that he had said it out loud. "And it may be a good while before I can come back." he felt even worse. Was that even possible?
Dalea stared at him in shock. Her mind worked quickly. Could she go with him? Well, she didn't have too important of a life. She only had two living relatives and they didn't care for her much anyway. She bit her lip as if she were about to cry. "Umm....lets say...if I did go with you...would it really be worth it? I'd most likely die much sooner than you...."
He almost laughed. "Die? You'd never die. The water itself will keep any living thing from aging or passing on." he smiled "We'd just keep on living forever."
Dalea seemed mystified by his explaination. She gently touched his face. "Would I ever be able to come back?"
"Yes, but it might be awhile before you could and it would have to be brief or you would begin to age.
Dalea bit her lip again. She actually began chewing on it while she thought. "Kyo...what if I said I'd go with you...but to let me stay here for as long as I can before we go?"
He agreed. He also handed her the knife and pointed out a little button on the top. "Press this when you want to come to my world you be transported directly into my room.
Dalea blinked and looked at the knife, then shook her head. "I wanted to leave with you..."
He looked confused. "I thought you wanted to stay awhile?"
Dalea smiled and kissed him softly. "You said you had to go back in three days. That's what I meant. Three days will give me time to get all my bills paid and cancel everything." She would keep her house though.
He smiled. "Ok that sounds great." he was very happy to have her going with him. It may have been strange since he hadn't known her long, but he loved her.
((soo I just HAD to say... I LOVE YER AVI!! *glomps*)) |
Dalea smiled and snuggled up to him. "If you're sleepy, then we can nap. Or...just sleep. Its your choice." Actually she was up for another round, but she was being considerate, cause he was a virgin and all before they did anything.
(Aww, so sweet. Thank you. ^^) |
