Peace At Last?
(I am just going to use a description with this character since I could not find a picture) Name: Nala Blooddrinker Age: 20 Appearance: Nala stands about five foot eight with a curvy stature. Her eyes are ice blue and her skin is pale. On her face are light, shaded spots of a clouded snow leopard but the markings of a queen. Her hair falls to about her waste with black spot upon white, silky colour. Her ears are pointed as well and along her spine are faint spots as well that almost look like tattoo markings. Similar markings go along the top of her arms and hands in a thin line, down her torso and hips as well as down the sides of her legs to her ankles. Bio: Nala belongs to the reigning tribe on her planet that is inhabited by shape shifters. She happens to be a clouded snow leopard, and the queen of them. She inherited the title when she was younger and the poaching had begun. Other planets enjoyed coming to her's so they could have a bit of "fun" hunting. Nala inherited the title of queen when she was merely sixteen but she had more than proven herself worthy after defeating the other females. Her tribe was matriarchel so they had a female rule and had fairly waited till Nala was of age before holding the competition. She has downed the number of killings from poaching and even now has a peace conferance set up. She was still very distrusting of the humans, they would have to prove themselves to her. Personality: Nala is fiercely loyal to her people and would give her own life for them, she would do anything to ensure their safety. She is stubborn, distrustful of humans or other beings and is very independent. She is afraid to get close to anyone after her parents died. |
((OK, you know Glamis, So, I'll start the story flowing))
Glamis paced around his room aboard a human warcraft, on his way to a peace confrence. He was no peace maker, infact he was the opposite. As a commander in a war, his priorities were nothing even close to establishing peacful communication. He sighed as he got ready for this so called peace confrence. He knew his so called mission. He also knew that his commanders expected the opposite to happen, and they also expected him to get killed on this mission. Why wouldn't they? He had been a pain in the butt, and now was their chance to get rid of him, on a lonely planet with very little of a promising peace confrence. He sat on his bed, and waited for them to reach the uninhabited planet. |
This peace conferant... it did little to brighten Nala's hopes for her people. She doubted anything would come of it unless it was the one thing that humans seemed to be good at and that was destruction. She sighed, pushing her multi coloured hair out of her face as she paced the room. It was large and roomy, the floor worn from so many of the queens that once paced here before her. It was something common for them to do after all when they got nervous. Nala's ice blue orbs shot around the room, how was this ever going to work? Even her own people were itching to fight, believing someone important would be aboard that ship. Nala was not that fickle though, she doubted they would send someone like that into hostile territory. It would either be a fool they sent or someone that they wanted dead. Why and how was not a problem for her. She also knew that at times, when these things took place, she had been hunted just as her parents had but she was more ruthless than they had been when it came to the foreigners. |
Glamis sighed once they got to their destination, his ship landed, and he got ready for the confrence, pulling on some clothes, and trying to tend to a wound that was on his back. He never had the money for treatment, but there it stayed. He sighed softly, and finished getting ready. He walked around the halls until he left the ship, and went to a solitary table that his people had set up for their so called confrence. Unfortunately he had no idea what they were supposed to be descussing, and he wasn't even sure how this thing was supposed to be handled.
|
Nala looked at the suns, it was time. She pulled on her traditional robe of royal purple that made her look even paler. She frowned, trying to remember all that was supposed to be discussed. She had been told that tonight they would find a way to settle the hunting on her planet, to have them stop or atleast give them stipulations on what was to be hunted. She made her way to the place of the meeting and saw a human there. Her eyes narrowed at him as she went to take her place at the table, "I am Nala, the Nimir-Ra of the leopards and queen of shifters." |
Glamis stared at her, and sighed irritably. "I am Commander Glamis Ammogan, former captain of the war ship, seawind," He said as he stared at the shifter. He had no idea what to do after that, but he didn't offer anymore pleasantries. He didn't feel like he needed to. He stared at the shifter as he waited for any further direction on the matter at hand, only hoping it wouldn't mean sudden death for himself.
|
Nala growled at him, his disgusting human scent assaulting her nose, "So they did manage to send someone semi important, but I guess they want you dead. Maybe I should do them the favor," She scowled before continuiomg, "I was told that we would discuss and come to terms on an agreement over hunting my shifters. As much as I would like payback, you are better use to me alive... for now." |
Glamis glared at her, a cold expression in his eyes. "I was told nothing of this." He said firmly. He stared at her with defiance in his eyes. He wasn't sure how this would end out, but he didn't want to have to be the one to discuss those terms. He'd rather be out righting a war, and his whole body showed it. He was just glad that the other couldn't smell the blood from his wound, that could possibly prove fatal for him in his position. He sat uneasily at the table, waiting for her response.
|
"Oh, what a pity," She glowered, "But does that seem to be my problem? No," She gave a small, innocent shrug in a mocking way, "I am tired of all my shifters being killed, especially the ones who are truly innocent. It makes me wonder if I shouldn't just travel out to another planet and start ripping you kits to shread," She frowned, her body tense at the scent of something coppery floating in the air. She shook her head, "Maybe, we can come to terms on that... perhaps, only go after those who are theifs or killers themselves." |
Glamis shrugged, "I really could care less, but I am honestly not allowed to make such decisions for my people, heck, I have been demoted from captain, they don't care." He said as he got up, seeing as this was totally pointless. "Maybe I should just go." He growled as he turned away and started walking towards his ship. Why even be here if he was unable to do anything, right?
|
His walking away only infuriated Nala, bringing her animal more to the surface. This had all been a ploy, the humans just wanted to make more of a mockery of her. She would not allow that, she could not. The animal came to surface more, her senses strengthening. That was when she smelled it, the blood, that was what the scent had been. Nala quickly pounced on the man, knocking him over. She could smell the blood coming from his back. |
Glamis growled, and soon got up, and turned around. He wasn't going to let his weak side face her, not right now, not like this. He started backing up. He had no weapons, and against this creature he had no defense. Irritation, and fear were mixed in his eyes. "What is your problem, I can't help you, your people, or even my people for that matter, there is no point in me staying here." He said as he tripped backwards.
|
Nala was grinning now, her eyes having bled into her animal ones further. Her nails were longer now, sharper as she approached him slowly, as if toying with prey, "Then you are no longer use to me alive and one human death could compensate for the hundreds of my people that were killed," She was not thinking too rationally at the moment. |
Glamis was scared, but he was at least thinking somewhat rationally. Maybe if he just stood still it would be quicker, or maybe if he gave in, she would just get even madder, not having the satisfaction of killing someone that wanted to live. He stood up again, and this time just stood still. "Fine kill me, it will save the many possible ways I could die in great agony because of a rotting would on my back. And really, my people care less about me than they do about your people, so it doesn't matter anymore, if they won't even help their own, what on earth do you expect them to do to you?" He growled as he just stood there, waiting for the deathblow.
|
Nala snapped back to reality at his words, covering her nose with her hand to stop the scent of the wound from reaching her nose. She backed off slightly, "I did not expect much to come of this. These things always fail," Her voice was actually sad as she remembered what had happened to her parents, "And I can do nothing to stop them because they just shoot us, it is dirty fighting." |
Glamis sighed, and stared at her. "At least they give you a quick death. Me, they send me to a confrence where they expect you to kill me, and even if you don't then I will die from the wound on my back." He said. He sighed, and started to turn away to go back to his ship. Now that she wasn't as likely to kill him, he didn't feel like he had to watch the female.
|
Nala approached him once more, grabbing his sleeve to stop him, "I am sure after they presume you dead they would use it as a reason to take out my planet. I do not see what good it does but I could perhaps atleast help you with your wound. Either way, I am probably as good as dead as well..." She felt defeated at that moment, hopeless. |
Glamis shrugged her off quickly. "And if you help me they will assume I've defected, and use it as an excuse to take out your planet anyways." He said with a soft growl. He knew what he had said was true. If he was healed by the enemy he would be in some sort of debt to them. He sighed. "Either way, the situation isn't favorable to either of us. My world just wants to keep doing what its doing your world wants to stop it, your only hope is probably to have someone defect, but I'm not sure I would be your best choice." He said as he pulled away from her.
|
"There is going to be no one sent here after you. You said you were demoted, there has to be a reason they do not like you. You do not seem like someone who has been stupid their whole life either so I bet they fear you, even if you may not know it," She put her hands on her hips, "I have no other idea to get back at them for this." |
Glamis shrugged. "OK, like what? I doubt very much that they fear me, more like they are tired of my attitude, that's probably what it is, and if you have a plan, then just leave me out of it." He said as he started walking away from her. He was done here, he didn't really want to talk to her anymore either.
|
Nala was frustrated not, all threads of hope were severed, "So you're just going to walk away and let them have their way? Is the fight that much gone from you?" She sighed. |
Glamis sighed, and turned around. "And what if it is? Its not like your people would accept someone who has helped in their killing before." He said irritably. "I bet they would love to see me torn to shreds, as vengence for what has happened in the past, wouldn't they?" He asked with a growl.
