Sasha was about to finish Jake off, but when he spoke those three little words, she stopped, inches from removing his head. The internal battle was won as her black hair faded to it's natural light color, her evil eyes returning to their beautiful amethyst color as she stared down at him, her vision healed. Her claws dissapeared, leaving her soft and petite hands seemingly untransformed.
Her eyes filled with tears as she fell to her knees before Jake, "I'm so sorry Jake," she choked as the tears began to stream down her face. In the next moment she hugged herself to him, wrapping her arms around him tightly, "It wasn't me Jake, I never meant to hurt anyone..." she said burrying her face in his chest. As she did, something crimson caught her eye. Looking down she noticed the claw marks across Jake's chest that ripped through his outwear like it was paper. "Jake..." Sasha said concerned, "I've hurt you badly?" she asked. "WHAT IS THIS BETRAYAL!?" The evil man shouted at the sight of Sasha returning to her normal self with the jewel still inside her. He had promised no magic, but he was a liar. With the simple wave of his hand he sent a burst of energy at Jake and Sasha that sent them flying back, skidding across the earth at least fifteen feet. Sasha was laying on top of Jake as they slid to a stop. Raising her head painfully to see if Jake was still concious, she reached up to brush her hand lightly across his face. "Jake, are you ok?" she asked. In the next moment the evil man's speed had him standing over the pair, wrenching Sasha away from Jake. "You will obey me, or I will have to kill you to retrieve my jewel," he said cruely. |
Jake remained on his knees bleeding as she knelt in front of him, he smiled to her weakly as he felt her hug him, he hugged her back and chuckled a little and managed to whisper "I know..." He felt her bury her face into his chest causing him to winch a little as he shook his head at her question which was a lie.
The sudden blast from the male caused him to fly back, he was still concious and still just able to battle, he looked up at her smiling a little with blood coming from his mouth, but seeing the male drag her off of him cause him to growl. While the male was distracted by yelling at Sasha, Jake swiftly took out some poison and threw it on his blade "die" He rasped as he plunged the poisoned blade into the males side. Jake slowly began to get up to his feet, he was weak, but he wasn't going to give up yet, he was going to protect Sasha as long as he could until the death just as he had promised her. Jake stood holding his chest with one hand as he stood in a weak stance as the blood continued to run down his armour and clothes which had now become blood drenched, he watched the male with a small grin of victory upon his face. |
The evil man's eyes widened as he felt the sharp pain in his side, releasing Sasha. "You... how could someone like you..." he was terribly injured as he fell to his knees. "I'll kill you both," he said, before dissapearing with a bit of magic, leaving Sasha, Jake and the wolf beast.
"Jake!" Sasha exclaimed as she moved quickly to stand beside Jake, pulling his arm around her shoulders to help him stand. "Oh Jake, this is all my fault. Don't worry, we'll find a healer and everything will be ok," her eyes were watery as she choked back tears. Jake was in bad shape, and it didn't look good. His blood covered Sasha's hands as she tried to keep him standing. |
Jake watched the male leave grinning with victory as he felt his knees growing weak, when she put his arm over shoulder his legs gave way for a second, but then he quickly regained composure and stood back up smiling at her "It isn't your fault... it is mine for being weak and letting him take you away" he whispered in her ear, it seemed he still could only whisper "It will be okay... it will be" He whispered a lie mainly to himself "We must move fast"
|
Luckily for them, the wolf beast was still under Sasha's command. She whistled and he approached, kneeling to allow Jake and Sasha to hop onto his back. When they were settled, the pointed to the villiage nearby, and the best began to run for it. When they entered the villiage, people scattered at the site of the beast. "No please, don't run away," Sasha begged, "My friend... he is badly injured, we need a healer..."
An elderly woman stepped forward, "Come," she said, "I will assist you." |
Jake did his best to climb onto the wolf, as Sasha ordered the wolf to go to the nearest town, Jake closed his eyes and hugged into Sasha holding back a few tears "I am sorry Sasha... I tried... I didn't want to harm you... I promised to protect you" He whispered to her as he remained hugging her while the old lady approached
|
Sasha's cheeks turned bright red as Jake held close to her. She wanted to hug him back, but she was confused. He was hurt badly, and he was probably just emotional. Was there a chance he really cared for her? They hardly knew eachother, but they had certainly been through a lot together already. Unfortunately when Jake had told her he loved her, it was enough to snap her out of her evil reign, but not something her brain recalled, nor did it recall any of the awful things she had done.
She was about to hug Jake back, as she wanted to desperately, but then the elderly woman motioned for them to follow. Sasha hopped down from the beast to lead him gently through the villiage, to ensure no one else would become scared. "Hold on tightly to his fur," she ordered Jake, avoiding looking up at him as she was feeling embarrassed. Leading the beast through the villiage behind the healer, people stepped back out of the way, staring. When they reached the healer's at the edge of the villiage, Sasha was suprised at how large the place was. The healer whistled, and two monk looking helpers rushed from the home and helped Jake down from the beast. When Jake was safely inside, the large wolf beast nudged Sasha on the shoulder with his long snout, causing her to turn to face him. In the next moment, he shrank down to the size of a small fox puppy and hopped up into Sasha's arms. He was so cute, Sasha couldn't help but smile and snuggle him. It turned out the beast had never had a piece of the jewel inside him. Instead he was a rare sort of monster who chose a master to fight loyaly beside, and he had chosen Sasha. Following the healer inside with the pup in her arms, she found the bed where Jake had been placed, sitting down beside him while the healer began concocting. "What happened?" the healer asked. Sasha wasn't very sure what exactly had happened, so she simply stated, "He was attacked," knowing that some of the injuries were her own fault. She felt terrible. "Jake? Can I do something for you? Can I get you anything?" she asked as she lightly rubbed her fingers across his forehead and down the side of his face. |
Jake noticed that she had seemed to forgotten the time he had said he loved her, He sighed again as the beast was lead through the village, once he noticed that Sasha had forgotten his words he let go of her and sat back on the beast. Once the beast had made it to the healers house Jake had become very weak, he just about climbed off and needed the help of the healer to keep himself balanced as he made it into the house where he was laid down, bandaged and cleaned a little. Jake just laid on the bed and looked at Sasha "No thank you... You should continue your journy without me"
|
Sasha's eyes widened a little at Jake's words. "You, want me to leave?" she asked. She didn't want to continue her journey without Jake. His words hurt her heart to the very core, as she stood. She wanted to stay by Jake's side, but if he wanted her to leave him, she would. Before she could protest, the healer came up and blocked her from him as she applied herbs and ointments to his wounds.
To give herself some time to think, Sasha made her way outside to a large oak tree where she sat with the pup, leaning against the large trunk. It was a warm day with a mild breeze that ruffled the grass and the pups hair as it blew the fresh air scent of the mountains over them. Sasha looked out over the rolling hills before her as clouds floated by overhead. She thought of her mother, who's life she needed to save by making the jewel whole again, and she thought of Jake, who she found herself growing more and more fond of with each passing hour. Sasha's eyes closed as she drifted into a light sleep. |
Jake looked at Sasha and as the healer moved in the way he felt his heart growing heavy, once Sasha had left, Jake looked at the healer with sad eyes "Excuse me miss... but... If you loved someone... How would you tell them?" He asked her as he let her put the herbs onto his wounds "I have strong feelings for Sasha... but I have no clue on how to show or tell her... everything I do or say she... Ignores me... Does she not like me?"
|
The healer paused for a moment when Jake asked his question. A smile creased her lips. "Your friend cares deeply for you," she began dressing his wounds again, "it's so obvious, she loves you too, it's written all over her face." The healer chuckled. "She is probably feeling the same way you are. You two are too young to see things so clearly, sometimes love is blind."
When she was finished, she stood, still smilling down at Jake as she gathered her extra materials. "If you want to get her attention, I would get out of that armour, get myself cleaned up, take her on a walk at sunset away from the villiage, and tell her. Where this is no possible way to see past your feelings for eachother." The healer made her way into another room to wash her hands, leaving Jake alone. |
Jake laid and listen to all the words the Healer said, he was taking in all of the information that the old lady had to say, he heard the part about no armour and the sunset and he sighed a little "That sounds to be the best time.... But we would just be attacked..." When the healer left Jake by himself he looked to the door and thought about Sasha "... But I must do it... I must show her" he said to himself.
With another sigh Jake shifted himself a little and grunted at the pain "Dam... This will be difficult" He whispered as he forced himself to stand up slow "But I must find Sasha before she leaves" He grumbled as he took off his armour and threw it onto the bed, he then began to slowly and unsteadily make his way towards the door. |
The pup was curled up beside Sasha, sleeping heavily. Sasha was dreaming of the jewels, finding them and placing them all together to form one whole stone again. Then, her dreams began to swirl around Jake. The two of them, fighting side by side to keep the jewels out of the hands of the wicked...
The sun was beginning to set as a light breeze swept over the land, through the mountains and over the rolling hills of tall grass and flowers, and over Sasha and the pup, ruffling their hair as they slept. |
Jake coughed a little as he reached the door holding his chest while slowly opening the door, the healer had warned him not to stand up but he refused to let Sasha leave his life just because he had to go and be blind to her love for him, he walked out of the door and felt the cool breezy air upon his face as he looked around unsure where to start, he only hand a little while before his wound would force him to sit down or risk bleeding more.
Jake slowly began to walk towards the highest point in the village which was up a small hill leading up to a large oak tree, he staggered a little still clutching his bandages as he made his way up the hill, once at the top of the hill he felt his heart beat a little faster as he moved over to the sleeping Sasha, he knelt down in front of her and placed his hand gently on her cheek and kissed her forehead "Wake up Sasha... I must tell you something" He said gently into her ear before he moved his head back to being just in front of hers as he looked at her closed eyes which meant once she opened them he would be looking into them. |
In her dream, Sasha and Jake had faught to protect a large castle and were standing before eachother, both of their hands wrapped around the jewel together as she stared up at Jake. He looked back at her and opened his mouth to speak "Wake up Sasha..." he said. What? She was awake, she was standing right there looking at him.
The warmth of Jake in front of her under the tree caused Sasha to stir, her amethyst eyes slowly opening as she awoke from the dream to see Jake kneeling before her, their eyes meeting as her heart rate picked up. "Jake," she said, "you came for me..." Sasha wasn't sure if she was still dreaming or not, the last she remembered, he'd wanted her to leave, and now here he was, without his armour, kneeling before her atop this hill, the sun setting beautifully beside them. Jake was still injured and didn't need to be wandering around out here like this, it worried Sasha. But staring into his eyes, his face so close to hers, Sasha couldn't find words to scold him. "What's wrong Jake?" she asked instead. |
Jake saw her open her eyes slowly and as he looked into her Amethyst eyes he blushed lightly, hearing her words her nodded and smiled more "Why wouldn't I? you are important to me" he admitted as he blushed a little darker as he gently took her hand in his "Look... Sasha... the reason I have been so desperate to protect you is not just because I protect all I can, but because..." He froze unsure how to say it he gulped and smiled again "... I love you, that is why I never hurt you even when you was in that beast form, I could not bring myself to harming such a angelic female such as yourself" He said kissing her cheek
|
Sasha's cheeks turned red when Jake told her she was important to him. He too was dear to her, even though she hadn't realized it until now. When he took her hand her heart raced again. Her hand felt warm inside his and she couldn't help but notice how perfectly their hands fit together. She froze when he spoke the words 'I love you'. He, loves me? Her cheeks turned a crimson red. Yes, she realized it now. She loved Jake, that's why she'd felt so hurt when she thought he wanted her to leave. From the moment she saw him, she knew he was different, a special person.
When Jake kissed her cheek, Sasha felt like there were butterflies in her stomach as her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. She wanted to jump on Jake and confess her love to him too, but she knew a lady would never do such a thing. Then again, there was no one up here under this big beautiful oak tree, next to this dreamy sunset. In the next moment, Sasha had grabbed the back of Jake's neck, pulling his lips to hers as she kissed him passionately. When she stopped, she looked into his eyes again, "I love you too, Jake. I'm so sorry I've put you through so much pain..." |
Jake's heart was racing, he awaited her to reply to his confession, at the beginning of their journy, Jake had not loved her so much, but at time had gone on up to this point the friendship they first had had grown into a much more stronger sort of relationship, he was smiling blushing deeply awaiting her reply to his words as he looked into her eyes.
He was slowly starting to feel his heart sink a bit at the silence, he was beginning to think she was going to slap his face or just walk away, but when she took the back of his head and pulled him into a kiss, he blush deeply again as he closed his eyes and when she pulled back Jake felt his heart beating much faster then it had ever done, he listened to her and he gave her a last kiss before standing up "You haven't put me through pain, I have been the one putting myself through the pain, you are the one who has just cured any sort of pain life can throw my way" He said offering her hand "I must go back to the healer... Will you come with me... As my girlfriend?" He asked smiling more as he looked down into her eyes |
Taking Jake's offered hand, Sasha stood, allowing herself to lean against him as she looked up into his eyes. She smiled, unable to hide her happiness, "Yes," she said, trying to keep her cool. "Let me help you," Sasha offered, "lean on me, and we'll get back to the healer as soon as we can." By this time the sun was barely showing over the horizon. It would be dark before they made it back to the healer's home and Sasha hoped for their sake the path would prove safe, but there was no guarentee.
|
Jake smiled down at her as he looked down back into her eyes, he smiled a little more hearing her reply "I was hoping you would say that" But hearing her telling him to lean on her made him hasitate, but he knew if he didn't then they would be much slower, so Jake placed his arm over her shoulder and put a little weight onto her "If we are attacked on the way back... run... I will protect you as long as I can" He said kissing her cheek "I will protect you what ever the cost" He said as he began to walk with her
|
Frowning at his words, Sasha said, "Ok Jake," as she held close to him to help him walk. Even though she had no intention of running away like a coward if danger should arise, especially with Jake in his current condition. He didn't even have his armor on. By the time they reached the bottom of the tall hill, the sun was completely gone. Dim lights flickered ahead of them from the healer's home a short ways in the distance.
((I'm going to leave this one open ended. So it's up to you if they run into trouble, or if they just go back to the healers. ;))) |
((Lets keep it peaceful for now :P))
Jake smiled as he felt Sasha close to him as they walked, once they was at the bottom of the hill Jake saw the healers home not far away "We are almost there" He said happily as he laid his head upon her shoulder. Once they was outside the healers Jake walked into the door and held it open while Sasha walked in "Oh... and I never wanted you too leave... I want you by my side... Always" He said kissing her forhead "Okay?" |
((Sorry Jake I got suuupperr busy!))
Sasha stepped inside the healers home when Jake opened the door for her, stopping only when he kissed her forehead. A short time ago, something like this would have made her blush, but now, it only made her happy, as she returned the kiss to his cheek. "I'll stay by your side Jake, forever." The healer greeted them with a warm smile, winking at Jake in approval. The table had been set with dinner while they were away. "Please sit and eat," the healer said, "You'll need full bellies, and lots of rest if you plan on traveling." She poured tea into their cups. "There are four rooms all set for guests down the hall, help yourself to whatever you please. The bathing spa is at the end of the hall," she added and dissapeared for the night. |
((Its okay ^^ I will post soon <3))
|
Jake smiled to her as they entered the healers, Jake chuckled at the healers wink while he sat at the table beginning to smell the food "This smells amazing... I plan to eat then go to sleep" He said to them both as he looked back to the food waiting for Sasha to join him
