Name: Rousel Tifaimoana
Age: Uncertain, somewhere from 23-27
Occupation: Sea Witch (think Ursula from The Little Mermaid...brews potions, etc.)
Gender: Male
Info: Orphaned at a young age and forced to fend for himself, Rousel is a rare breed of merperson with the lower half of a large octopus. He doesn't remember his parents, nor has he ever met another merperson that looks like him. He's a mercenary of sorts, brewing potions, poisons, and medicine for people as well as taking on the occasional odd job--stealing, kidnapping for ransom...a few times, even murder. He does what he can to get by. He's a very lonely individual who typically stays far away from the surface of the water. He has to surface sometimes, though, to fetch ingredients for his strange concoctions.
Appearance:

Why did this customer want this? Why did he have to do this? Rousel hated being out of water--it made him feel vulnerable and very exposed, seeing as he couldn't move very well out of water. A late-night unexpected customer had quite rudely burst into his den without permission, but he'd offered up a huge sum of money...
...in exchange for coconuts.
Why in the world that merman wanted coconuts was something that Rousel was not going to question. Merpeople with fish-like tails could barely get up on land at all. Rousel, while he was slow on land, could walk on land and even climb trees. He was trying to avoid climbing trees, though, by using his thick, powerful tentacles to grip the tree trunks and shake them violently. This brought down a rain of huge, dangerous coconuts on him, and then he was forced to dance around and try to catch them. The merman had wanted four of them.
Satisifed with the four large coconuts he'd managed to collect, Rousel turned to head back into the water. Suddenly, though, he paused...and he squinted. There was something out in the water. Something large--a few fish were poking around at it curiously. Setting the coconuts down on a nearby rock, hoping they would be safe, he made his way with ease into the water to investigate.
He froze about a few feet away from the...odd object. It wasn't floating debris like he had suspected after all...it was a human! Rousel was so startled, so surprised, that he was frozen in place. He couldn't move, eyes locked on the strange creature...
