"How am I supposed to know if I love him or not when I barely know him?" Ria said, "I onl know about him from his parents, but it's not the same of truly knowing the person."
Vivian nodded. She looked around, noticing all the different kinds of books. "I didn't know you had a library..." she said. |
"Exactly! so what's the point of marrying him if you don't even know if you love him?" he asked her.
"Oh, well now you know...I love to hide in here when I just want to be alone. My parents are rarely in here..." he said to her. "I've already read every book in here at least twice." he added. |
Ria stayed silent for a few moments, staring down. "....Well...." she said, "I've always wanted to where a crown... That, and his parents arranged it. I can't go against their words."
Vivian smiled, walking along one of the bookshelves, running her hand gently against the spines of the books. "I see," she said, "I haven't read a good book in quite some time, actually." |
"Look, Sig's parents are currently thinking about letting him marry that girl he really loves." he said and frowned. "I know wearing a crown is great, but if you're not happy...what's the point of wearing one." he said and looked at her and smiled. "I think you can get married to anyone...you're very beautiful...any guy would be lucky to have you at his side." he explained.
"Well Vivian...all these are good books." he said and chuckled. "So...just grab one and read it." he added. |
Ria sighed. "No matter how hard I try..." she said, "I've never been able to get a guy. They run off screaming, thinking I'll drain them of their life just because I'm a succubus."
Vivian nodded. She grabbed a random book and flipped it open, sitting in a chair and began to read it. |
"Well I wouldn't run from you...you're beautiful...why would I want to be away from you?" he asked and blushed.
Sig smiled as he looked at her. He ran a hand through his long hair and then looked around for a book to read. |
Ria blinked, staring up at Harvey. "Are you making a move on me?" she said, her cheeks having a slight pink blush on them.
Vivian continued to read the book, crossing one leg over the other as she made herself comfortable in the chair. |
Harvey chuckled. "Maybe..." he said to her and shrugged.
Sig grabbed a book and sat on the floor as he began to read it for the third time. |
"Well then..." Ria said, "Guess it's a good thing Sig introduced us?"
Harvey nodded. "Yeah...it is..." he said and ran a hand through his thick brown hair.
Ria nodded slightly. She stayed silent, not sure of what to say.
Harvey looked at her and smiled. "So are you going to leave them both alone?" he asked her.
"I guess so..." Ria said, sighing slightly as she stretched her wings for a moment before letting them droop slightly. her tail was slowly swaying from side to side.
"I know you're sad. But you'll find someone who really loves you..." he said to her and smiled. "I know you will...you just have to wait." he said to her.
Ria nodded slightly. "Yeah," she said, "Just have to wait... good things come for those who wait, after all."
Harvey chuckled and nodded. "That's exactly what my parents tell me. But I'm not the most patient person!" he said and smiled at her.
Ria smiled slightly back at him. "I see," she said, "I was really impatient as a child."
"Most people are...I know I was. I always made a scene if I didn't get what I wanted when I wanted." he said and looked at her lovingly. "If I have to wait for something, I try to keep myself busy by doing other things." he added.
Ria laughed slightly, looking up at him. "Really?" she said, "What kind of stuff did you do to keep yourself busy?"
Harvey nodded. "Yes, I was spoiled...so whenever I didn't get what I wanted, I threw a tantrum until I got whatever it was I wanted." he said and shrugged. "I like to read and cook most of the time. Sometimes I'll watch T.V. but I don't really enjoy that." he explained.
Ria nodded, now leaning against the wall. "I threw tantrums all the time to get what I wanted as well," she said, "Grew out of it, though."
"I don't throw tantrums anymore...but I still do what I must to get what I want. If my parents won't get it for me...I get it myself." he said and smirked.
Ria nodded. "Yeah..." she said, "I get most of my things now. I get presents from friends and family every now and then, though."
"Friends..." he said and frowned. "The only friend I have is Sig, but we rarely talk..." he said and sighed. "I never get gifts...it's rare when I do from my parents..." he said sadly. "I usually get myself some things now." he added.
Ria let out a fake gasp. "Sig is your only friend!?" she said, "That's sad... I'll be your friend, too!" She smiled brightly.
