Elf x Elf

The room was filled with smoke and the council elders were seated at a long table, all with serious expressions on their faces as they watched the young red-haired elf be led into the room. It was a room she had never been in, but already she had picked up on the location of the furniture, but she didn't let her guide know that as he led her through the area to take a stand before the council. "Are you sure this is the one? She can't even make her way through the room on her own! How do you expect her to be able to pick her way through the forest to help our warring brethren on our issue?!" One of the council members on the far right spoke up, slamming his fist upon the long wooden table. The red-haired elf tilted her head to the side and blinked, looking at the council member. The council member in the center spoke up, causing the red-haired elf to let a small smile dance behind her lips. "Settle down, Magdaline. I'm certain that she is the one to send in this time. I trained her. I've seen what she can do. I personally have faith in her. You should too." He said, and the red-haired elf knew he was smiling a warm smile that reached his eyes. The one on the right spoke up again. "But I think we should see a demon-" He cut his sentence short as an arrow zoomed past his ear before piercing the wall right behind him. The red-haired elf spoke up in a voice that was sweet and soft as well as dangerous. "I missed intentionally. I won't do it again so I suggest you stop questioning my abilities. In this room, I can tell you where every piece of furniture is, such as the armor on display in the south-east corner of the room which is next to a table of vases. On the west wall there is a stand that has spears propped on it. Have I passed your test Council-member Magdaline, or not?" She said, setting her black piercing gaze on the council member.

"Shyla, you just had to open your mouth. Look what you've gotten yourself into now. You've been in the woods for two weeks, just to travel to a clan that is basically the Gyssedlues clan's enemy for a monster that is killing the soldiers fighting in the war. And there are these really big bugs and you have mud and leaves all over your body. AND I'm fairly certain there's a squirrel that's been living in your hair for the past four days. Good job." The red-haired elf muttered to herself as she walked carefully through the brush, not wanting to make a sound. If you had asked her two weeks ago, this was not what she would have told you she was going to be doing. It wasn't exactly her idea of fun, nor should it be anyone's idea of fun. She knew the instant she had made it onto the land of the other tribe because it had a different feel about it. Ignoring the feeling she got of being watched, she continued on with her silent treading.

It was now nightfall and Shyla had yet to actually reach the village area of the opposite clan, which meant another night in a tree or in the dirt unless a stray member happened to be her way. The event was unlikely, but Shyla really hoped it would happen. The red-haired elf was not looking forward to another layer of grime to the two week layers that were already irritating her skin, causing her to itch. "And now you're itching. STOP IT!" She scolded herself before a very welcoming sound caught her attention. "Water. Bath. HA! FINALLY!" She cheered, forgetting the eerie feeling of being watched long enough for her to strip, bathe, and clean herself and her clothing and dry her clothing before putting her clothes back on. Now she felt ten times better. When she was satisfied with her personal cleanliness, Shyla decided to at least try to get closer to the village area of this other clan.

It was another hour of walking through the wilderness and the strange prickly feeling at the back of her neck before Shyla stopped and listened. She was trying to see if someone was there, but she didn't find anyone until there was a cloth bag placed over her head and her hands and feet bound. She could tell there was more than one person, but that didn't mean she didn't try to struggle. When Shyla decided she was just wasting energy by struggling, she could actually hear her captors breathing and the heavy thud of their footsteps. They were talking in low voices, but the bag over her head made it hard for her to actually make out words. Then their footsteps made sounds of hitting on wooden floors, causing her attention to perk up. A pain shot through her body as they just threw her down on the floor, which made her curse rather loudly. It sort of made her angry since the bag was still on her head and she couldn't see who threw her on the floor in such a disgraceful manner. "And now you've been taken captive and thrown on the floor. You should have kept your mouth shut." She muttered to herself, twisting so that she was in a position that was a bit more comfortable.
