The Introduction.

Long long ago there was once a fair kingdom. It was ruled by a seemingly just King who the population seemed to enjoy. Over time, however, religion spread through the masses. The King had to conform to keep his civilians happy. With religion came the ban of magic--it was the devil's work. The King wasn't as weak as the masses however and found that this religion was a way to be in total control--and to expand. He made a law that no magic should ever be used again on penalty of death as did most other kingdoms around him. Sorcerers and witches fled to the woods, never to dwell again in any cities. Still though some remained for reasons unknowned to the public and they were often the outcasts of any place. No one would even look them in the eyes...

Even if before one of the most beautiful of people was such a sorcerer. Now he had to mask his face underneath a hood even when he went on a simple trip to the marketplace to pick up fresh apples. Clothed in an dirty blue cloak, a tall slender man who the people seemed to just ignored made his way through the narrow marketplace streets. He had attached a beautiful flower to the hood of his clothing so he could feel a little beautiful, but still it was nothing compared to like before. He had never done an evil deed, but if it was the wish the people, what could the sorcerer do?

"The Prince is going to make an appearance!"

He overheard some words being muttered. He had already gotten his basket full of apples, he had no reason to stay, yet he felt like he needed to. He had never seen the Prince, only the King... He was curious. He tried his best to fit in and disappear in the crowds as he followed to where the people where conversing. He only figured this would just be a simple appearance of the Prince. Sometime the royalty here visited their people to seem more "connected." The sorcerer could see this and maybe they did care--but it didn't really matter. It still helped the people like the royal blood even more. It was pathetic really.

Yet, he found himself wondering over to the crowd still. Even under the hood his bright green eyes were painfully obvious. He was the golden blonde green eyed witch. He liked to think to himself sometimes people also added the word "beautiful" to the beginning of that, he needed to keep his esteem up somehow!

This was what Lukas Teal's life had become. His old wooden house far on the edge of town, it would take a bit to get home anyways, so he may as stay awhile... Oh and please, call him Luke.

Yuki is dressed in traditional royal garb, though with a little less bling than most. There's no need for all the decoration and so he refuses to do that much. He has very pale hair, which doesn't change to a blonde as one gets closer. He's one of the few with actual white hair that hits his shoulders almost. He also has amber colored eyes. Today, he is visiting the masses. Even if some believe he's just there to suck up to the masses, like most would, he's not. Someday he will, hopefully be kind, and...so he wishes to help those who will fall under his rule, and if he can convince his father to help them before that time? Even better, but to do that, he needs to know what they need and want.

Yuki used to get into trouble for, essentially, escaping from the castle, though it was always kept hush hush. He wanted to see how other people lived and how their lives went. How they're different from his, even though his parents didn't wish for him to. That's why he's here today-to do the same except more openly. So, he's talking to everyone he can, and everyone that will talk to him, asking what would be of help to them, what they don't like about current situations-political or personal. He'll hear them all....or all that he can at least.

He knows that magic users still exist...which could put him in danger now, but if he hid, he couldn't be a mediocre let alone a good leader in the future. He's practicing now.

The sorcerer could only assume by the attire and luscious white hair that this was the man of interest here. With him around, people didn't always seem to be passing whispers about someone of the devil so close to their family and friends. This was almost a better idea than Luke had first thought. Now to get close enough to make a conversation or at least make himself noticeable. He doubted the Prince knew that Luke was the sorcerer the population still knew was around and talked about. He doubted the Prince knew anything of him. Luke barely knew anything of the royal himself. Although he did know his name...

"Prince Yuki," He muttered it to himself. The prince was far too busy amusing the public to pay attention to the smaller details. Carefully, slowly, the sorcerer decided to put down his hood. He was well-groomed, much better looking than the peasants. Perhaps he could get the royal's attention now.

Why was he doing this? Luke didn't even know the answer. He craved the attention. He wanted the prince to speak to the "devil." It only seemed just.

Yuki doesn't mind the closeness of some of the people. Though there's probably one or two (or more) that just want to throw themselves at him-literally and figuratively. That closeness...he does mind. Just a lot, but that goes for anyone getting that close. Especially with those intentions....it makes him feel weird to say the least. What does Yuki know of the sorceror? He uses magic and that's about his limit of knowledge currently. After a bit, Yuki moves on. Especially considering that some of the people gathering have this look. The I'm going to molest you look....or some variation.

So he's running away kind of. The molestation/whatever they're wanting...Yuki wants no part in it whatsoever, and it isn't because they're of a lower station than him. He doesn't like that look on anyone's face at all. He moves on, seeing the "devil" even if he doesn't know it. He heads over to this well groomed male. "Before I talk to you, are you going to get that creepy look on your face like they have?" He gestures to some females. Because if that's going to happen, he'd rather not have that happen right now.

Finally the Prince acknowledged him. But creepy? Oh, he would have to pay for calling Luke such a thing!

"Creepy? What ever do you mean?" Luke smirked, "Are you implying my normal face is creepy? That isn't something a Prince should go around saying, don't you think?" He was toying with him. Luke played with everyone--male, female, old, young-- he just couldn't help himself. He found himself to be quite witty.

Luke hadn't actually decided if he wanted to seduce the Prince or not. He thought it would be even more hilarious, but then again, it wasn't the best idea that crept across his twisted mind. And yes, the man could decide such a thing. It came with knowing magic afterall.

"You know I asked a question. That says nothing about you or your face until you answer. Then it might say your face is creepy." Yuki shrugs a bit. "Because anyone with a look like theirs on their face....is creepy." At least one of them, if not more, is looking over him like a piece of meat which to some he is. He has the power and the money. If they marry him, they could have a better life and never have to worry about anything ever again. Or, at least, that's what they're daydreaming at least. "Especially when it leads to that look." The look that says I'm going to rape...or eat you. You never know which with some people. "And I could say since I'm in my position...I can say anything....blah blah blah....etc...etc. Except that just because I have influence...doesn't mean I should say anything I want." Though that doesn't mean he'll be able to stop himself from speaking the truth.

Luke couldn't help but smile at the way the Prince talked. He was blunt, honest, but still the people adored him. Perhaps it wasn't actually for his personality though...

"Look," Luke paused, he swiftly put his hand over his face, changing his amusing expression to that of a calm serious look. "It's like magic!" He joked, of course. It was even funnier in Luke's own little head because he knew he could actually do magic. Perhaps if any of the commoners were listening, they would have laughed... or given him a dirty look. "I'm not creepy at all, actually I'm Luke, your highness."

Yuki snorts and smiles as he shakes his head a bit. "Nice trick." It's obvious that he thinks it is cheesy, but cheesy isn't always a bad thing. Now being completely serious all the time? That could be bad. "Supposedly they weren't creepy. Then they started looking at me creepily. But I'll give you a chance of course....but if you get that creepy look on your face like they had....I will run for my own safety." He's saying all this calmly, but he really does mean that he will dart for somewhere safer. "And what do you do, Luke?" Apparently he does something that pay better than the others he has been talking to. Even if Luke has no wife or children, he must do something that pays well, either in money or items.

Cheesy was funny. And Luke was oh-so funny. Or at least, that is what he liked to tell himself! "I have no interest in you like that, your highness. After all, you're royalty and I'm a mere peasant, not to mention we are both males. I would gain nothing in killing you either," With that the sorcerer merely shrugged, just toying around with him again. In all reality, Luke had played with both genders. If you didn't get caught, nothing really mattered.

"I'm a cook," Luke could easily lie. Ever since he could remember that talent--if you so wish to call it that--had just came to him natural. Though part of his words wasn't necessarily all that off. He still made potions, mainly fast healing potions for the knights, but no one must know of that! "No kids, no wife, I just cook. I'd wonder if I could only afford to."

"Good deal then. Because those looks spell bad things for me." And Yuki knows it. Except it doesn't mean death, but it does mean other bad things. "I didn't ask about any assassination attempts and the like." He's starting eyeball Luke a bit. Yep, he's going to watch for it, people tend to have slips of the tongue about things like that. Yuki tilts his head as Luke says he's a cook. Can cooks really make that much money? He really has no clue. "Are you a good one? And obviously I don't have either of those too." No female has caught his interest, in that way, as of yet

Yuki is a little bit different from some people. He doesn't care about things that other people consider taboo. Like magic, long as they aren't harming people or messing with others free will, leave them alone, but once they cross that line, even just a bit, you have to wonder what they might do next. They may never do it again...or they might do something worse. e\

"I was just mentioning it," Luke smirked. Assassinating royalty sounded like fun, but wasn't a good idea in the long run, yet again. Oh woe, what could the poor sorcerer do for fun anymore? "Because creepy looks can mean more than just lust depending on how you look at it." He played around. "And depending on how the look was given. But nevermind that!" He brushed the subject away. This Prince just seemed too paranoid for his own good!

"Of course, I'm a good cook! I can make anything," Luke boasted. "If you're interested perhaps I could make you a dish sometime and you can see for yourself." He doubted royalty would ever take him up on his offer. They had better things to do.

"Well, originally I said creepy looks like theirs...and those definitely weren't the I'm going to kill you looks." Yuki isn't paranoid. He just doesn't want to die and/or be molested by other people. He's not interested in that. "Those were the....I'm going to take your virginity and there's nothing you can do about it looks." He shivers a bit at the thought. His stomach gurgles at the offer of food. "When would be convenient for you?" Of course he knows to not take food from strangers, but their cook is still a stranger to him.

Luke could have laughed--but he held it in. They were grown men and the prince of all people hadn't had sex before? It was polite to wait till marriage but he never fancied royalty as polite. He would just skip that subject. He didn't need to get into it and toy with this man even more even if by the minute it was seeming more and more fun.

Now, this daring, paranoid--at least that's how Luke saw him as--had taken Luke up on his offer? The sorcerer actually wasn't prepared and began to stumble a little with his words. "Well.. I uh... Anytime, anytime for you, your highness!" Nice save!

Yuki wants to first find someone he's at least somewhat interested in as more than a one night stand before doing anything like that with them. And bastard children do add a complication for his side, and possibly for the woman too. Also, some royalty let the power go to their heads and assume they're exempt to the be polite to people thing. He tries to at least not be rude though sometimes he can't help it. "There is a difference between when you can and when it would be convenient. When would be convenient? And the answer anytime is obviously a lie unless you found a way to not have to sleep anymore. You could make a ton of money off of that one."

"Well, if you came to my house at 3 am, how could I say that would be oh-so inconvenient to a prince? The rule with all royalty is to kiss their ass, because if you were unhappy, you could have my head," Luke said, trying to use a more jokingly friendly tone with the Prince. He wondered if the boy--he couldn't help but now use the word "boy" for the prince--even understood that almost everything Luke had said since the beginning was just a way of toying with him. What a innocent Prince!

"If you so desire for me to choose a time, then perhaps in the evening, when the masses have gone inside and the streets are little more quiet." Except near the bars.

"Well, other than the fact that even I would like to be asleep at that time....it's rude as hell. Doesn't matter if the person is a prince or some other noble....there better be something very horrible going down to wake me up at three in the morning." The prince likes sleep. So does every living creature to his knowledge. "And somethings....it wouldn't be worth it." Talking about the have their head thing. "Some people just like being harsh." He knows the other is joking, but some royalty have punished lesser things with the same punishment. "That time's fine by me." The prince is innocent due to the fact that his parents tried to keep him that way. They didn't want him to know of the world unless it was under their supervision, but they can't be around all the time.

Luke merely shrugged. "If I didn't waste half the day sleeping I could get a lot more done, though." And sometimes he did just decide not to sleep. Whether or not it was because he had company or not didn't much matter--not like anything of that sort had happened in a very long time anyways.

"Oh? So you'll be stopping by for a late dinner? Will this be tonight?" Luke questioned, a little skeptical the Prince would really show up. Didn't royalty have better things to do than to play with the town witch?

Yuki chuckles a bit at Luke's words. "But you're still human. Long enough without sleep and you're not good for anything. Because I tried to see how long I could last without sleeping. That was a fun time." That last part is dripping with plenty of sarcasm if no one noticed. "Is tonight convenient? If not, I can come some other day." He can get away. Well, it is easier nowadays. He know has some freedom without his parents complaining about him taking it.
