Ethan smirked and looked over at Skylar. "Well Skylar likes you too Gemini." he said and continued eating happily. Skylar was eating his food and looked over at them both. "Hey buddy...finish up your food now." said Ethan. Skylar screeched and a tiny flame escaped his lips before he continued to eat.

Gemini laughed at Skylar's little outburst of flames."I don't know if this is rude to ask, but...how old is Skylar? I know dragons age differently than humans, so I was curious."

Ethan pet Skylar gently with his finger while they ate. Listening to Gemini's question, Ethan stopped eating and thought about it. "I honestly don't know, When I found him he was just a newborn." he answered.

"So he had just hatched? What happened to his mother? I thought dragons were a very family oriented race.both parents involved in raising the hatchlings and all that." Gemini said, only realizing after she spoke that she might have upset Skylar."oh! Oh, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have asked.sorry, Skylar."

Skylar finished eating his food and looked over at Gemini and at Ethan. Suddenly, Skylar shot a flame out of his mouth and flew out the window. Ethan frowned and looked Gemini. "Buddy!" he called and frowned. "Gemini...think before you speak!" he said and ran out of the house. "Buddy!" he called out and sighed. Skylar sat perched high up on a tree and looked up at the sky.

Gemini nearly cried."oh, God, I'm so sorry!" She called, running out after Ethan and Skylar.when she caught up, she waited in the trees so that Skylar wouldn't see her and get upset.

Ethan frowned as he looked up at Skylar. "Aww, Skylar buddy please come here?" he asked softly. Skylar screeched in response and didn't move. "I know you're mad...but you do understand the people usually say things without thinking at first. Please don't hate her, I'm sure she's very sorry, she loves you and would never hurt you on purpose." he explained. Skylar screeched and looked over at Ethan. "Yes Skylar, it won't happen again, I promise. Now come here...I miss you already." he said and frowned, but smiled when Skylar flew over to him and landed in his arms.

Gemini shrank back into the trees a little, scared to face the little dragon now.

Ethan smiled and pet Skylar gently then sighed. "It's no use hiding Gemini...I know you're here." he said and turned to stare at the trees. Skylar snuggled in Ethan's arms and screeched tiredly.

Gemini stepped out a little,her face as red as her hair."a-are you sure it's ok? I d-don't want to upset anyone."

"It's fine...Skylar's not going to kill you, he's too little to do that yet." he said and smirked. "Really though, it's okay." he assured and pulled her closer to him.

Gemini allowed Ethan to pull her forward."it's not that.I'm just scared he hates me now." She said quietly."I really am sorry.I promise to think before I speak from now on."

"That's all we ask for Gemini, don't worry though...Skylar doesn't hold grudges..." explained Ethan before kissing her softly. "Now please don't feel bad, I want to see you happy again." he whispered as he looked into her eyes.

Gemini blushed."ok.Skylar? No hard feelings?" She asked, holding a hand out to pet the dragon.

Ethan looked down at Skylar who screeched and blinked as he stared at Gemini with blank blue eyes. Ethan gently took Gemini's hand and placed it on Skylar's head. "You can pet him.."

Gemini petted Skylar gently and smiled."I hope we can all be happy together.I do love you both dearly." She said.

Skylar nuzzled her hand and was silent. Ethan chuckled and wrapped an arm around her waist. "I love you very much Gemini, and Skylar is always happy to have another friend." he said before placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

Gemini returned the kiss eagerly, then broke away and smiled."we should get back so I can clean up the dishes.it wont do to have them laying around dirty." She said."and after that, we can go outside and watch the sunset, if you want."

Ethan looked at her and nodded. "Ah right, the dishes must be cleaned..." he said and pet Skylar. "Let's go then." he said and led Gemini back to the house. When inside, Ethan sat down on the couch and continued to pet Skylar.

Gemini cleaned up the table and wrapped up the leftovers, then set about scrubbing the dishes and putting them away.she hummed a random tune the whole time, as if nothing could make her happier than cleaning dishes.

Ethan pet Skylar and tried not to doze off. "I invite you to a world where there is no such thing as time...." he started to sing to Skylar. "And every creature lends themselves to change your state of mind...." he continued.

Gemini finished with the dishes and came to sit down next to Ethan."what's that song? I like it." She asked quietly.

Ethan looked at her and blinked. "And the girl who chased the rabbit, drank the wine and took the pill. Has locked herself in limbo to see how it truly feels. To stand outside your virtue, no one can ever hurt you, or so they say..." he sang and kissed her cheek. "Her name is Alice..." he whispered and looked at the sleeping Skylar. "That's the name of the song, Her name is Alice..." he repeated.

Gemini tilted her head."I like it.it's different." She said quietly, wanting to not wake the baby dragon.
