Jake looked at the stove and nodded as he put the meat down onto the side. "I will use the fire pit then... Feels more normal." He said with a small chuckle as he looked to the meat with a small smile.
Jake listened to her while she spoke, all of what she was saying was true and he knew she was right, he nodded as he looked down at the floor like a child does after their scolded. "I know... I have tried... But I feel... I feel that I should be alone... I mean look at me... I am a monster." He replied when she stopped talking to have a think.

He listened as the small dragon continued, he was a little shocked to hear they had all lost their parents, maybe she was right, they needed to all stick together like a family. "Your right... We have all lost our parents... So we must stick together, so yes... I will stay." He said looking up to the dragon giving her head a small pet. "Your a good dragon."

"Okay then if you'll come with me I'll show you where the fire pit is... it's in the back of the house though that part still has the shield around it." Sukiru said softly though then paused at bit and listened to Jake almost seeming to smile a bit why he said he would stay. "I'm glad to hear that you'll stay... I think it will be allot better for Mage to have someone else that she can talk to." she said softly then seemed to enjoy her head being patted by Jake.

Jake thought about it with a bit of a frown. "There is a shield around it?... Your telling me I am unable to get to it?" He asked with a small sigh. He looked down at her with a small chuckle as he nodded a bit with a smile. "I know... And that is why I will be here... So I can talked to her when ever she needs help." He said continuing to pet her head with a small purr himself. "You know... Your rather cute for a dragon." He said chuckling more.

"Oh no no you misunderstood me, there's a shield around the house that also covers that part of the back yard so nothing can get in to bother us. So we can get to the pit and garden but other people and animals from the outside cannot." Sukiru explained softly with a bit of a chuckle then started to make a soft purring sound when she heard Jake and seemed quite happy at his complement. "Well thank you." she smiled easily.

(sorry it kinda sucks I couldn't think of much)

Jake smiled a little as she explained and he nodded once she had finished. "Oh I see... Well then that makes it no problem for us then." He said giving her head one last pet. "Your welcome." He replied before taking the meat and heading outside, he walked over to the fire pit and he placed the steaks onto it with a small frown. "Okay then... How do I use this thing?... I remember seeing dad use it... I just don't remember how he did.."

"I thought you said you knew how to use this better then the stove? Have you never lived and cooked for yourself?" Sukiru asked curiously and a bit worriedly.... if he had never lived on his own and taken care of himself this would prove to be a problem... what warrior hadn't taken care of themselves before? She had never met such a warrior herself...

(sorry it took so long had a major block)

Jake froze at the question as a sweat bead began to form on his forehead. "well... I have... Sort of... Maybe." He chuckled a bit as he looked at the fire-pit. "You just... urmmmm... uhhhh..." He then shook his head. "I have always had someone to cook for me while I trained or went out hunting... I was never without a cook who made the food for me..."

(you make it so hard to reply sometimes T~T he travels allot it seems he should know how to cook... it's already been said that Sukiru couldn't cook and Mage is passed out XP if he's lived on his own he would know how to cook XP I'm sorry I just don't know how to reply otherwise... we can just say that he had fixed food and it was awhile later or something when Mage was awake again)

(sorry I was a bit drugged the other day from some major pain killers XP how shall we skip? Maybe to when Mage is back up and walking around and able to talk to Jake more since she wouldn't be able to when she wasn't feeling good? Maybe he had wanted to talk to her or something and she was finally feeling up to it or something and a few days later she is able to get up and go to sit and talk to him maybe?)

Mage sighed a bit as she sat up after a few days of pretty much being bed bound while her powers returned and healed what had looked like burns all over her body. She soon got up and walked into the kitchen where she saw Jake sitting at the table and sat down softly looking down at the table for a moment before looking at him a bit and gave a slight sheepish smile. "I never got to thank you for saving me... so... thank you... I thought for sure you would have just left me there to die... I'm glad you didn't." she said softly and gave him another small smile hoping that he accepted her thanks.

After many days of caring for them all, Jake had been clearing his mind like he did everyday, however when he noticed Mage sit down at the table, he looked up and chuckled a little at her comment. "Your welcome, but I never saved you, it was you who saved me if you remember. Without your assistance, I would have joined my mother for sure." He looked back the table and sighed a little. "You know... Without your pet, I am sure I would have gone insane with the silence." He joked hoping to lighten the mood.

"But you did save me... yes I ran in and distracted Thief but after he stole my powers I couldn't breathe at all... if it wasn't for you I probably would have choked to death..." Mage said softly and honestly then chuckled a little at his comment. "Yes that's why I'm glad she doesn't want to leave me... I spend most of my time alone here when I'm not out helping the nearby villages." she said softly though smiled a bit at Jake slightly glad that he would mention his mother around her and didn't seem too awful sad when he made comments about her.

Jake smiled back knowing he had saved her, but after he threatened to kill her, he saw it more of a way of saying thank you. "I guess I did save you... But I sort of owed it to you after what I had said to you." He chuckled a little as he heard about her helping the nearby villages and he looked out the window to the sky. "Say... Mage... Do you think I could help you with helping the nearby villagers... I need a way to repay the world for my crimes against it and helping others could be a great way of doing so." He turned to her and smiled a little more. "After all, I am going to be staying here from now on, so I have to do some work for your hospitality."

Mage paused for a moment staring at Jake in shock though then smiled slightly. "Well... thank you Jake... That would actually be a big help... but, you do realize that I may need to teach you a little magic right? I want to show you the good side of magic and how it helps and saves people... in a way I could be considered a wicken... but because I use my magic to fight as well I really can't be." she smiled softly and really did seem happy that Jake wanted to stay and help her

Jake chuckled a little at the word magic, instead of growling, he simple shook his head and chuckled more. "Oh no no, I am half dragon, I would loved to have learnt magic had I been half mage, but I am more of a brute then a scolar." He looked back to Mage after stopping himself from chuckling any more. "You see, I can help with the jobs were strength is needed, where as you could do the magical jobs and your dragon could help with the jobs high up until I figure out how to use my wings to actually fly instead of just getting in the way."

"Well see thanks to you being a half dragon you are more likely to gradually get magical powers and I always need help with the healing... that's actually really the only thing I work with unless some desaster has happened." Mage said softly then thought slightly and smiled slightly "See your debt is not to the human society... it's to the dragons and I often take care of allot of those dragon... I don't know if you had ever noticed a dragon that you just couldn't catch... that was me going to take care of some pips and young dragons." she said then smiled a bit more at the thought of him actually helping dragons and helping her with them.

Jake began to think about that fact and remembered on of the older dragons he fought had actually got close to defeating him with the help of magic. "Your right... Well I guess it can't hurt to try and learn some good magic, I might even be able to use it in battle." He chuckled a bit as he looked down at his armour and remember he had once been one of the most powerful paladins. "Wait... You was that dragon who always got away? Do you know how much I tried to hunt you down." His voice was calm instead of being full of rage. "It is a good job I never actually managed to find you."

"I know and I know that irritated you worst of all..." Mage smirked slightly then thought for a moment looking at Jake though then looked away the tips of her pointed ears turning a little red from her thoughts though just couldn't bring herself to say anything.
