Kai glanced at the other and a smile graced his features as he heard that the other would be able to provide a journal for him. He loved to write. He thought about what the other said as he chewed on his lower lip thinking about what the other had meant. "I think," he started. "I think that it just popped out of the socket. It would be in a lot more pain had it been broken, right?"
((Heading offline for a bit. Getting something to eat. Be on later)). |
"You'd think it would..." Merik replied, but the angel's had subtle differences, and he while he knew Kai felt pain, it wasn't clear how well his tolerance was. "Here." The human fetched a cloth from the bathroom, handing it to the angel. "I'm gonna pop it back. It'll hurt really bad, but once it's back in, it'll just be a dull throb."
Without fussing over the boy anymore, Merik climbed unto the bed, bending his leg. He paused for a second, getting into position, before pressing forward with a quick jerk. |
Kai eyed the other male as he was handed a towel. What was he supposed to do with something like this? Hold onto it? Tilting his head to the side he glanced as the other got onto the bed and began moving his leg around. Before he had time to react he saw Merik take his leg in his hands as he gave it a rather painful twist and a turn. "Gah," he yelled out in pain as he tried to twist away from the other way to escape the pain. "It could have healed on it's own," whined Kai as he could feel unshed tears beginning to brim at the corners of his eye. He thought that he had finally found some stable ground with the other male, and then he had to go and do that.
|
"You didn't tell me that!" Merik snapped. "I don't know everything you are capable of." He grabbed the towel and shook it at the boy. "Next time bite on it. It helps take focus off what I'm doing, makes it so you can't bite your tongue, and you don't scream like that." He turned away, tossing the towel into his hamper. "Should be thanking me..." He muttered softly.
|
Kai shrunk back when he heard the other's rather harsh words, but he could also hear the unuttered concern as well. Apparently his initial reaction to bite down on the towel was the right one. If only he had followed his gut instinct. "Okay," muttered Kai in response to Merik yelling at him. He felt very bad. The other male had helped him. It was true that his leg would be able to heal itself, but it wouldn't have healed in the right position so for that he was thankful. "Thank you Merik," said Kai as he glanced up at the other with a smile. "For everything." After he said that there was a bit of silence, and it was making him a tad bit nervous. Kai glanced around the room to see if there was anything that he could occupy himself with for the time being.
|
When Kai shrank from him, Merik sighed softly. He slid back unto the bed, wrapping his arms around the boy's waist. "I'm going to take a nap. After I get up, I'll go look in the library. There should at least be some empty notebooks if I can't find an empty journal there. You could use one of them, alright?"
|
Kai felt the other's hand slide around his waist and he let out a small squeak. He found himself nodding when he heard the other say that he was going take a small nap. He was rather tired as well, giving what had happened to him early that morning. He also felt like an utter coward that he didn't want to see Sage. He laid down on the bed as well as he brought his knees up to his chest. Letting his eyes slide closed he let out another sigh as he fell asleep.
Once he was asleep he began having dreams. Dreams that he shouldn't be having. He was with Merik and they were, and they were- and he was enjoying it! His jumbled mind ended up waking him up as he let out a gasp. He felt a flush beginning to form on his cheeks. He untangled himself from the other male as he made his way into the bathroom. As he walked there he found that he was able to walk on his foot again. He was glad that he had healing abilities at times and these were one of them. Drawing himself a bath he sunk into it. He knew what had happened in the dream, but he wasn't ready to admit it. Admit that he liked what was going on. Admit that he wanted it to happen more. He scrubbed himself down liberallly with soap and water and then he soaked in the water for what he assumed had been hours. Getting out of the tub he dried off quickly before re-dressing. He glanced over at the bed and noticed that Merik was still sleeping, but how deeply he did not know. Walking lightly passed him he made his way down the stairs with the intent of seeing Sage, and apologizing to him. ((Gah, go-go PG-13 rating lol)) |
(Lol. I wish the rumor that had gone on a while back, with the over eighteen section had been true. :( I'd even buy more ci items just to help keep it.)
Merik sighed when Kai settled into the bed, snuggling closer to the male. His eyes slid shut, and soon he was dreaming happily, the angel wrapped in his arms. It was so soothing, to sleep with someone. The human hadn't realized just how much he had wanted this. It was nice to be able to trust Kai, for the most part. Kai woke and tugged away, though Merik continued to doze. Eventually, he noted, even in his state, the lack of the other's body. He reached out, tugging a pillow to him, wrapping his arms and legs around it, mumbling for Kai to come back to bed. |
((I didn't even hear about that rumor))
Kai stopped and froze when he heard the other call out to him in a muffled tone. He rolled his eyes though after he figured that the other wasn't going to wake up. Walking out of the room and down the stairs he stopped at the top of them when he saw the hellhound laying there. He eyed the beast as he swallowed. He knew that the animal wouldn't attack him for if he did Merik would probably skin it alive. Walking passed the animal he made his way down the stairs. He stopped though and looked at the front door. Walking towards it he placed his hand on the wood of the door and thought about how he could run away. He could make it home, but then he would end up abandoning the other male who was still locked away. It was true that he didn't want to see him, but even it went against everything that made him him if he abandoned the other. He continued to stand in front of the door building up enough courage to go and see the other angel in the basement. |
(It was about a year ago that I'd heard a lot about it.)
Merik continued to sleep soundly. In his dreams, he wasn't cuddling a pillow. The angel was wrapped around him, giggling and happy while they joked. The hellhound simply wagged it's tail, standing and following Kai. When the male stopped, Beast laid down and crawled forward on his belly, finally rolling over, rubbing his back, and whining for attention from the angel. |
Kai glanced over as he saw the animal approaching him and tensed, he then relaxed a little bit when he saw the animal roll over onto its back. Raising an eyebrow he fell to his knees as he began scratching the animals belly. He let out a small laugh. It was almost comical what was going on. As he continued to scratch the dog's belly he found himself smiling even more even coming to sit next to the animal. "You know you're just so funny," said Kai with a smile. " You know you're not so bad you know that." He continued to rub the other's stomach, but then stood up with the intent of going to the basement. Making his way to the basement he passed the various cages that were there. Walking in through another door he stopped in front of the cage that had Sage in it. He knew that the cages that were electrified so he stayed back a few feet. "Sage, he called out. "Sage." He tried again.
Sage rolled over as he looked at him."Kai is that you?" said Sage as he looked at his angelic lover. "Yes," replied Kai as he wrapped his arms around himself. "Sage, I am sorry about- about earlier." He managed to push the rest of it out. He suddenly felt very ashamed with himself for what had happened the day before. Sage turned to look at him as he snorted and then turned a rather cold shoulder towards the other. Kai figured that this could have happened, but he wasn't ready for it, even though he had mentally prepared himself for a possible rejection. Glancing at the other, tears welling in his eyes, the look of pain turned into a look of fury. "How could you!?" Sage turned back towards the other and continued to glare at him."Why don't you just go crawling back upstairs and lick your masters boots," yelled Sage. Kai glared back at the other, turned his back, and then went back up the stairs with a sob. He eyed the dog that was there and then fell to his knees as he began petting it again as he tried to take his mind off of what had just happened. |
The dog wiggled and drooled happily, lapping at the angel's face as the male pet him. He hadn't felt a kind hand in a long, long time. It was like a touch of heaven, almost literally. He barked loudly when the male spoke, though he only understood a few of the words. Then the male was leaving again. He whined, following for a few feet. Once it became clear the angel wasn't stopped, the hell hound flopped to the ground with a whine, and laid his head on his massive paws.
~<3~ Just a few minutes after Sage left him, he was back! The dog barked again, standing and wagging his tail. He was almost as tall as the kneeling figure, and lapped happily at his chin, tilting his head at the tears. He hadn't seen them like this before, and didn't quiet understand it. "There you are!" Merik's voice filled the hall behind the two. He was dressed in rather loose clothing for the moment, eying the angel. He'd been so worried Kai had escaped, though he wasn't going to inform the angel of that. |
Kai smiled as he saw that the dog in front of him. He was probably glad for the attention of the other male. He was completely lost with showering the dog with attention when he heard Merik yell out. He immediately stood up looking at the ground. He didn't know if the other male was angry with him, or if there was concern in the other's voice. Maybe it was a little of both. "Merik," he said as he slowly glanced up. "I'm sorry." He was now looking straight into the other's eyes, still unable to read the other.
|
The human was quiet for a bit, then finally nodded. "It's fine...have you been with Beast the whole time?"
(I'm sorry for the one liner. Complete and utter brain poot.) |
((That's fine it happens from time to time. I'll try to move us a bit more))
Kai found himself nodding his head in response to the other male's question. The tone of the voice sounded more like a concerned sound rather than an angry sound. He then heard that it was fine so it must have been fine. Kneeling he patted the dog one more time before he stood up glancing at Merik again. He didn't know what it was about the other male, but every time he was in the room it made his heartbeat quicken and he could feel a blush beginning to creep on his cheeks. He didn't know what it was about the other male, but he was certain that his face was beet red. The last thing he wanted was for the other to see him like this so he turned his head back down. |
Merik stepped up to him, tugging him into a gentle hug. He pet the boy's hair and wings for a minute. "I guess your leg is doing better, then?" He hesitated, before he found himself blurting out, "Thank you...for not leaving...I was so terrified when I saw you were gone..."
He frowned, feeling oddly venerable at the moment. |
Kai knew now that the other male was not angry with him at all. He felt himself being tugged forward, and instead of tensing immediately he found himself relaxing in the other's hands. He let out a sigh as he placed his head on the other's chest inhaling the scent that was uniquely Merik. Merik smelled of lavender and honeysuckle. He leaned forward a little bit when he felt the other petting his hair and wings. He heard the other say thank you to him and that he was glad that hadn't left. Why would he have left? He still needed to become healthier again, and it wasn't like he was going to abandon Sage there, no matter how poorly the other had treated him only moments ago.
Kai pulled away from the other as he looked at the other's face trying to read the emotions on the others. "Merik," whispered Kai. "What is wrong?" He then did something very uncharacteristically of him, he leaned forward and kissed the other gentle on the cheek. |
Merik's eyes widened a bit in suprise, and he touched his cheek, staring at the angel. After a moment, he smiled and shook his head. "N-nothing is wrong. I'm going to do the nightly feeding. Would you like to join me?"
|
Kai eyed the other as he saw the other's own look of surprise grace his features. He smiled a little bit as he let out a laugh before letting go of the other. He thought about what the other said before he ended up nodding. What was the other going to do while the other began feeding the other animals. If he didn't go around with the other then he would be by himself until the other male was done. "Sure," said Kai. "Though I don't want to see Sage. I went to see him earlier and he well-" he stopped not wanting to finish it. He couldn't believe that the other had given him such a hard look. The look was as hard as ice.
|
"What?" Merik's tone was sharp, and he paused to glare at the angel. "When? While I was sleeping? Why did you go down there? I thought I made it clear you weren't to talk to him without me present?" Anger was boiling inside of the human again, though for now he still resisted the urge to reach out and attack the angel.
|
((-stares- o.O -sniffle-))
Kai stared at the other as he could feel his body begin to shake. He had done it again. He had done something to make the other displeased with him. He knew what that usually meant. It meant punishment, the harshest of kinds at that. "I-I," he managed to stutter out before he found himself falling to one knee in a bow with his eyes downcast. He figured that doing this would at least earn him some brownie points with the other male. He mustered up enough courage, though he was still looking at the ground. "Merik, I'm sorry, I was just restless." It was true he was restless because of the other male. The other male had been sleeping for quite a long time, and he knew that he wanted to apologize to the other male in the basement. However, he was also restless for other reasons as well reasons that he couldn't quite place yet. |
(What's wrong?)
Merik stared at the submissive male. Whether it was a subconscious reaction, or whether he just felt bad for being angry, he wasn't sure himself. He knelt and took the other boy's hand, tugging him to his feet. "Come on..." He tugged him gently towards the kitchen. Beast followed behind the two, his tails wagging and his tongue hanging out. |
((Nevermind :P))
Kai didn't really know what was going on around him. He couldn't see the other since his eyes were downcast, but then he felt the other tug him by his hand into the kitchen. He figured that the Merik had let him slide with going to see Sage without the other male accompanying him. Walking into the kitchen he noted that the hellhound, that he assumed was named Beast, followed after the two of them. Upon closer inspection the animal wasn't all too scary. Once in the kitchen he glanced up at Merik as he said,"Is there anything that I can help you with?" |
(....o.0.....I am so lost...)
"Uhm...yeah..." Merik glanced around, before moving to the meat refrigerator. Since he had so many animals, he had a freezer and refrigerator devoted to meat, and a refrigerator devoted to fruit. Most of it was gone in two weeks, and he received a shipment from a store he had a deal with in the nearby city. "Here..." He flopped down what looked like the side of a cow. "We need to pull out the bones, and seperate the organs from the insides. Most of them just pop right out." He washed his hands, before turning around and staring on the cow. "This section..." He scored the meat with a knife. "Will be cut into strips...this section is going to be in chunks, and this in slabs." He finished showing the male the sections, before setting the knife down next to it, and turning away, digging into the other fridge and tugging out various veggies and fruits. "The different animals like their food in different ways...we'll need to visit the tiny shed out back to get some fish and feed the merpeople..." |
Kai watched as the other male went rummaging into what he assumed was some kind of food preserver. In Heaven they had everything fresh and nothing ever got spoiled. When the other male brought over the rather large piece of animal flesh he paled noticeably as he held his hands to his face. He should have never offered to help. Maybe the other would let him do something with the fruits and vegetables. It was another sacred law in Heaven that one was not supposed to consume any form of meat, including fish, since it had once been living. "Uh Merik," said Kai hesitantly as he picked up the knife as if it was some kind of foreign object. He had never done a lot of cooking in his entire life. As a Seraph angel he had people that did that for him, and only when he really wanted to, which was rare, that he wanted to cook he did. "I do not wish to sound petty, but can I please do something else?"
