Outside, below his window, a bluish glow, much like when Jay had made the item for him, was blaring. Suprised, Vanyel stood, his chair jerking back, and he moved over. He cursed softly when he spotted the male below him, sure enough, the boy was glowing. Vanyel opened his window and shoved his head outside, glaring downwards.
"What are you doing?" He hissed. "Stop that!"

Jay continued to let the breeze tousle his hair back and forth, but he looked up when he heard the sound of a window sliding open, and he broke out into a smile when he saw Vanyel stick his head out of the window. What was he doing? Wasn't it obvious? He was outside to get some fresh air. Sure he probably could have opened the door if he found where the lock was on the door, but he wanted to reassure himself that he was still able to control his magic of phasing. "I wanted to go outside," said Jay. He then thought about the second thing the other had said. Stop what? Using his magic? Glowing? What did the other want him to stop? "Sorry, you should come join me though," he said as he continued to smile at the other.

"Stop!" Vanyel hissed. "I'll come down if you stop being all blue! Quick, before someone else sees!"
He turned away, shutting his window, and rushing down the stairs. He flicked the lock down, and opened the glass door to step outside, crossing his arms over his chest, and looking rather grumpy.

Jay was right on the money. The other was concerned that people would see him glowing. Metaphorically killing the glowing lights he waited patiently for the other male to meet him outside. He heard the sound of a click and knew that the door had been unlocked, and then he heard it slide open. Jay eyed the other male seeing that the other looked rather grumpy. "Whoa," said Jay as he glanced at the other. "Maybe I won't show you more magic. If you don't look a little bit more happy. You're making me feel depressed." That was a partial truth. Not only did he only have the power over nature, but his magic's strength was also based on his mood.

Vanyel glanced away, and dropped his arms with a sigh. "Just...don't mind me. It's hard for all this to sink in..." He leaned against the wall, glancing out into the forest. "So, you really aren't human, then, are you?" The male finally questioned. His tone was flat, accepting but not liking having to accept it. "How come people don't use magic like you?"

Jay glanced at the other wanted to run up to the other and swing him around as he gave the other male a rather large hug. However, he did keep his composure. "I can imagine that you don't see this everyday," replied Jay as he looked towards the sky, and the moon again relishing in the fresh air that only the cool night could bring. His are you really human question caught him off guard a little bit. That was what he was trying to tell the other for how long now? Wasn't it obvious that he wasn't human? He could walk through walls, and make things out of the water in the air. However, he still continued to hold his composure. It was new for the other male after all.
"People don't use magic because they don't," he replied flatly in return. Well that was sort of the truth. It was true that they didn't use magic, not that they couldn't. Every human was born with the ability to use magic, but only a select few people in the mortal realm were able to tap into the higher brain functions to create magic. Not to mention when it did manifest itself it was mostly in the guise of fortune telling, tarot card reading, or astrology. Very rarely humans were able to create magic with their minds, and society made it impossible for them to function without being shunned by the world. They were usually ostracized or even burned at the stake back in the day. "Everybody has the ability to use magic, it's just that the majority of the people don't have the ability, more so the control, to do it."

"So you were serious, when you said even I could use it?" Vanyel questioned. He also glanced up, though he didn't see the stars or sky, lost in his thoughts. Perhaps this could work to his advantage? No one believed in magic, but if he could tap into it, perhaps he could make some kind of huge scientific leap that would help everyone.
It didn't seem too far fetched. After all, he hadn't even believed in magic until a bit ago. "Can you teach me?" He finally questioned, lowering his gaze back to the other male.

Jay eyed the other. Telling a mortal that they could possibly harness the raw potential of nature was probably not one of the brightest things that he had ever done. However, he wanted the other to believe and trust in him. Besides, in a few months it wouldn't matter. Vanyel would be living with him in the Fey realm, and would not be able to influence the mortal realm. Sure, what he was doing was fine, but what the Fey counsel didn't want was for the fey to give up too many of their secrets. "Yes I was serious," replied Jay as he looked at the other male, noting that the other looking good with the moonlight playing off of his pale features. Teach him. He was still learning himself, and he had so much still to learn as well. Not to mention even his parent's were learning new things everyday about their powers and their magical ability. He could try, there was no harm in that. "Sure I can teach you. The first thing that we have to do is figure out what your nature is. For example, my nature, as ironic as it is, is nature. That's why I could make that flower for you earlier."

"Nature? So how do we find that out?" Vanyel questioned, tilting his head. "There's still a lot you need to explain to me. Why do you say you are here for me again?" He questioned the boy. Now that he had accepted the magic, it seemed like he needed the clarification once again.

"Well," began Jay as he tried to figure out what his scholars had done for him. What had they done. It was such a long time ago, it was getting hard for him to recall. It then hit him. "Do you feel happy in certain areas. Like when you are in the water, when you see fire, or something of the sort. Usually you enjoy being around or like your particular element without even knowing about it. It's a subconscious thing." He tried to think if he had left anything out. "As for why I am here for you again. Let me sum it up. When we are born we are read things called Star maps, and for every day of our birthday until we die. It's our fortune for the coming year. I am to be betrothed to someone from the mortal plain, and that person I will have a direct connection with him or her. I had a direct connection with you when I first saw you. I know it's weird, and it's sudden, but it is the truth.

"I don't understand." Vanyel stated slowly. "I'm a boy. You're a boy." He spoke slowly, as if Jay was a bit slow. "We can't marry. What are star maps, anyway?" He questioned, before thinking about Jay's own question. Happy around a certain thing? Well, he loved being in the forest. But he loved it whenever the wind blew, or the sun beat down, or when water washed over him. It was difficult to thing of which part made him happier. "Well...I'm not sure." He finally admitted with a shrug. "My favorite place in the world is a clearing really deep in that forest. Could that mean anything?"

Jay gave him a rather pointed look as he let out a sigh. Was the other male really that daft. Gender didn't matter, at leas the knew that it didn't matter in his own realm, but maybe it mattered here. "So," he said as he turned to look to the other. "I do believe that males can have relationships together, and in our country sometimes it is encouraged if the two are supposed to be bonded for life. As for star maps they are maps of the stars that the seers use for divining our fortunes when we are born and when we celebrate our birthdays." He listened to the recount what mind of things made him happy. "So the forest huh?" he hrmed again. Earth natured people were rare, and even so it was obviously even rarer in humans. Vanyel was something truly special and to be valued. "Well we should go out to your favorite part of the forest tomorrow when it is brighter."

Vanyel gave a tiny nod, glancing upwards. The moon was full, and it shined brightly down on them. "Let's go now." He suggested after a moment. "It's always the prettiest at night." He chose not to comment on Jay's idea of relationships, instead asking another question. "So, you said you were supposed to find me, and we are supposed to be bonded. Why me? How do you know it's me?"
He didn't wait for Jay to answer about the midnight ride, instead starting towards the stables.

Jay faltered when he had heard the other. Go now. Sure the moon was rather high in the sky and it cast a rather eerie light over everything, but still he was surprised that the other male was so eager to go now. "Alright," he managed to mutter out. He followed after the other male. They said ride. That would be the best option since Vanyel did mention that it was deep in the forest. So the quicker they got there the better. "Yes that is correct. To be honest I don't know why it is you either. When I was born my parent's had the royal seer cast my star charts, and I was given my fortune for the year." He paused. Obviously he didn't remember it for himself, but he had heard it so many times from his parent's it might as well have been his own memory too. "The star charts, since they are based on your fortune, change from time to time. You are given a star chart reading on the day of your birthday to forecast for the coming year. The seer, and my parent's figured that when my pair bond was called out when I was born that it would change to something else in the coming years, but it always remained the same." He paused to glance at the stars again wondering how everyone was faring without their beloved prince. "However, in this case it never changed, which was unheard of. You know the term cut in stone right."

"Yeah, I know the saying." He wasn't sure whether or not Jay could ride, so he tugged out a rather lazy mare, patting her and saddling her for the male. Then he moved unto his Polaris. "What do you mean, called out? Like...you knew my name? So, you recognized me? I don't get it..." He rubbed his head softly, before tossing the walker's reins over his neck, and moving to hold the mare. "Do you need help getting on?"

"Well," started Jay as he glanced at the mare that was in front of him. He was used to riding much faster things while on bareback, but he figured he might as well convert to the ways of this realm for the time being. "I can ride," said Jay as he walked up to the mare patting it gently on the neck. "As for calling out to me. It's sort of hard to explain. It's an aura thing." Jay wished that he could explain it better to the other male, but it was more of an instinctual thing than anything else that had brought him to Vanyel. Swinging his leg over the side of the mare he got into a sitting position. "Lead the way," said Jay as he moved the reins a little bit testing the horses' walking.

Vanyel nodded, quickly mounting his dark bay. The gelding flicked his ears. Once Vanyel was settled, he clucked, and that was clearly the sound the male had waited for, as he surged forward. Vanyel led the way out of the barn, turning quickly unto a trail.
He turned in the saddle, frowning at Jay. "Aura, huh? So...you can see it or something?"
It was a long while before he continued. "So...you said something about me going back to your world, didn't you? What if I choose not to leave my home?"

Jay followed after the other as he found himself nodding about the aura comment. Not only was he gifted in controlling the powers of nature, which was rare in its own right, but he was also gifted with the sight of aura reading. "Yes I can. It surrounds a person based on their emotional state. For example," he glanced at the other male as he focused. "You're blue because you are calm, but it is also spliced with some light and darker shades of green. Are you nervous about something?" He asked the last part rather coyly. He knew that the other male was nervous. Who wouldn't be nervous about him.
As they continued to ride through the forest trails he glanced towards the other again when he heard the other's question. It was bound to turn up at some point or another. What if Vanyel didn't go back with him. That would mean that it would be his brother's turn to try and claim the other male, and he was pretty sure that the other would use force rather than to coax the other into liking him. "Well," said Jay as he balanced on the back of the horse. It was really odd riding in a saddle. "Let's just say I can be very persuasive."

Vanyel snorted softly, unsure of how to respond for a few minutes. After a bit, he nodded, "Of course I'm nervous...I've found out magic is real and you've come to spirit me away. It's really weird...you know? A...game changer I guess they would call it."
The other answer made Vanyel frown slightly, glancing over, unsure what to make of the comment. "Persuasive? How?"
They were getting close to the clearing, and the Tennessee walker flicked his ears, picking his pace up. The clearing meant his saddle would be loosened, and he'd be tied to graze. He snorted with each breath out, excited.

Of course the other was nervous. Why had he asked that in the first place? He chuckled though when he heard Vanyel ask how he could exactly be persuasive. "Oh you know. We could do a little of this and a little of that," said Jay as he continued to follow the other male through the thicket. His horse began speeding up its pace a little bit, and Jay was at a loss of words for why. He was gifted with animals, and he tried to soothe the horse into going slower, but the horse wouldn't listen to him. Clearing his throat he looked at the other male who was in front of him as he said,"So where are we going again?"

"A really nice clearing I like." Vanyel supplied, grinning. "Whenever I go here, me and whoever I come with always stop and dismount. Loosen up the saddles and tie them off to a tree. Let them graze. They just know where they are, that's all." The blond paused with his speech.
Sure enough, they were stepping into a clearing they couldn't even see a moment ago. The moon revealed the lovely grass and the sound of the river rushing nearby filled the air. Crickets mingled with the babbling. The gelding high stepped into the area, snorting softly. Obliging him, Vanyel swung his leg over, tugging the cinch around. A moment later and lead ropes were removed from a saddle bag. One was used to tie Polaris to a tree, and the other was held out for Jay.

As the other male continued to follow the other male he was soon in a rather beautiful looking clearing. His sensitive ears picked up the sound of the babbling brook and that of the crickets as well. The whole area was rather breathtaking. Snapping out of his mental stupor he looked to the other as he took the lead reigns from the other. Sliding off of the mare he watched Vanyel, and then repeated what he had done. "I can see why you like it here. It's gorgeous," said Jay as he took a deep breath of the clean, crisp air. There was some silence as he walked towards the other and placed his hand on the other's shoulder. "So," he paused before continuing. "Tell me about your family."

Vanyel glanced at the boy, shrugging under his hand. "I've got a little sister, mom, and a step dad. I don't live here anymore. I'm studying to be a lawyer." He paused, as if thinking, then shook his head. "Here...come here..." He gripped the other boy's wrist, tugging him towards the river.
Once he reached the riverside, he eagerly tugged his shoes off, thrusting his feet into he freezing water. He grinned, and glanced to Jay. "Best wake me up ever. Let's see. There's not really much to tell. My step dad was a veteran, so he let me use his g.i. bill to get into college. My mom stays at home. My sister...well, she's only fifteen, so we aren't really close yet. Maybe someday though. What about your family?"

As Vanyel talked about his life and his parent's he began to feel a small twinge of guilt begin to well up inside of him. Was he prepared to take the other male completely away from all of this? Hell, it wasn't like he wouldn't be able to visit them, but then again. Once the other accepted that he would be his chosen one forever Jay and his family would bestow upon the other eternal life. He faltered a little at that moment. There would be no mention of this right now. He didn't want the other to see his family die in front of his eyes as he stayed young and youthful forever.
He felt his wrist being tugged, and that shook him from his mental musing. His family? Where would he begin with this? "Well," he started. "I have a mother and father, the current Queen and King, I also have a twin brother." He paused. "If you come to my land. Stay away from him. He's bad news." With that thought in his mind he stopped his talking, and then settled down next to the other male. He ran his hand through the water as he let out a sigh.
