"Not safe...well if you really want to get out more, you can always walk through the forest at night." he explained and nodded. "I sometimes go to the forest at night when I can't sleep." he said quietly. Basou looked at her and sighed softly.

"I already told you that there are nocturnal beings out there," Arachne said, running a hand through her bangs, "I would love to go out at night. But, like I said, it's dangerous for me."

"Okay well I just thought of a good idea...I don't know if you'll like it though." Basou said and looked at her. "Why don't you come with me? I'll introduce you to the only two friends I have and you'll be safe with us, I promise." he said and nodded. "You'll finally be out like you want to be, and you'll be safe." he explained.

Arachne blinked a couple times before a look of surprise was on her face. "Really?" She said, "I mean.... Uh... I wouldn't be a burden to you? What if your friends don't like me?"

Basou laughed. "Look Arachne, I mean what I'm saying." he said. "If you don't come, well who knows how long it will be before we see each other, and sure my friends will be afraid of you at first but after a while they'll grow to like you too." he explained and nodded. "You won't be a burden, I promise."

Arachne nodded slightly. "Alright..." she said, "But I'm not coming out until you tell your friends! And try to make them promise to not freak out..."

Basou nodded. "Okay then...wait here, I'll be back." he said and walked out of the house and to the forest where his friends were waiting for him. Poggin looked at Basou and smiled. "I see you survived!" he said. Voluns trotted over to Basou surprised. "So...what was it like in there?" he asked. Basou smirked. "Well it's haunted yes...but the thing that haunts it, is actually a nice girl." he said to her. "I told her to come with me so that you could see her...as far as everyone else knows, a ghost haunts the house, not this girl." he explained. "You brought her with you!" said Poggin. "Are you mad?" he asked. "Look Poggin, she'll only come out if you two don't freak out!" he said. Voluns frowned and looked around. "Well I'll try not to freak out, but what is she?" he asked. "She's half spider..just letting you know." answered Basou. Poggin sighed. "Okay then, let's see her." he said. Basou nodded. "Hold on...let me go get her...oh, and be nice!" he said and left to the house again.

Arachne watched as Basou went off into the forest. She waited patiently for him to come back. After she saw him, she walked over to the door and peeked out, only showing the upper half of her body. "Well?" she said.

"Come on...they promised to try and not freak out." he said and nodded, hiding the gentle smile behind his mask. "I promise everything will be okay Arachne....no need to be frightened."

Arachne nodded slightly. She came out of her house, closing the door behind her. "I just hope my house will be alright without me there," she said.

Basou smiled. "It's a haunted house remember?" he reminded. "No one is going to buy that house." he reassured and began to lead her to the forest where Poggin and Voluns were waiting for them.

Arachne nodded. "Yeah..." she said, following him.

When Poggin and Voluns saw her, they looked at Basou who nodded. "Arachne...this is Poggin, and that is Voluns." he said. "Like I said, they are the only two friends I have and they will be nice to you." he said and glanced at them. Poggin looked at her and blinked a few times. "So you're the one in the house?" he asked. Voluns didn't say anything, he just looked down at the grass, he didn't want to stare.

Arachne looked at them, smiling slightly. "Pleasure to meet you both," she said.

Voluns and Poggin smiled. "The pleasure is ours." said Poggin. Voluns nodded but was silent as he looked at the grass. "So are you two friends?" asked Poggin. "Well something like that." said Basou. "We don't know much about each other to be called friends...I guess you can say that we're acquaintances." he explained. "I honestly thought you were a dead centaur when you entered that house." said Poggin. "Well as you can see I'm not." answered Basou with a chuckle.

Arachne blinked a couple times. "Just cause I'm an arachnid doesn't mean I'm gonna kill anyone who comes into my home," she said. She looked at all three of them, her gaze landing on Voluns. She stared at him, her head slowly tilting to the side. "Is he scared?" she said, "Or just shy?"

Poggin chuckled. "I'm not one to judge...sorry." he said and stared at Voluns. Basou smiled and shrugged. "Could be both...we never know what's going on with that kid." he whispered. Voluns felt their eyes on him and he slowly looked at all of them. "What?" he asked. "You tell us..." said Poggin. Voluns shook his head and sighed. "It's nothing." he said and galloped off to a lake.

Arachne had a slightly confused look on her face. "Is he alright?" she asked, looking over at Basou.

Basou sighed. "I don't know...he's the young one...only a teen..." he said and shrugged. "I'll go check on him I guess..." he said and galloped away after the boy. Poggin sighed and watched Basou leave after Voluns. "I think that when he saw you, it maybe reminded him of something...or awoke something in him..." said Poggin. "It's okay though, the kid is just a lonely wreck..."

Arachne sighed. "Sorry," she said, "But I can't change what I am. I would if I could, but I can't." She crossed her arms over her stomach, looking around.

Poggin shook his head. "It's not your fault Arachne." he said and looked at her. "Really...don't feel bad..." he said and sighed mentally. Voluns was at the lake, running his hand through the water and watching the ripples spread. "Voluns, what's wrong?" asked Basou as he slowed down to a walk. Voluns shook his head. "It's nothing really Basou...I was just thinking is all." he said. "Okay, and what where you thinking about?" he asked.

Arachne sighed. She looked down at the ground, crouching down, her legs folded under her thorax(lol that sounds strange XD). She stayed silent, wondering when Basou and Voluns would be back.

Valuns sighed. "She just looked like an old friend of mine...that's all..." he explained and looked at Basou. "That doesn't matter though, she seems like a nice girl." he said. "Well, she is once you get to know her." said Basou. "Now come on Voluns...let's go check on them..." he added. Voluns nodded and followed Basou. "I won't talk though...I...I just don't feel like talking to her." he said.

While waiting, Arachne had picked several wild flowers and had started to weave them together, her slender fingers moving quickly as she did so. When she heard them coming back, she looked up before standing.

Basou chuckled. "You don't have to talk to her unless she talks to you...your parents wouldn't like it if they saw you being rude to a lady." he said to Voluns. Voluns nodded. "Okay then Basou." he answered. Basou noticed the flowers Arachne was weaving together and smiled.
