Arachne looked over at Basou, smiling slightly. She then looked at Voluns, stating silent. She kept her gaze on him fir a few moments, but soon turned her attention back to the flowers she was weaving.

Poggin looked at Voluns. "Hey, you okay?" he asked. Voluns nodded. "Yeah I'm fine Poggin." he said and smiled. "Bet that I can beat you in a race from here to our home!" he said and smirked. Poggin narrowed his eyes. "Oh really?" he asked. When Voluns nodded, he looked at Basou. "Okay then I'll count, at three you guys gallop away I'll go after since I need to see who wins, I don't want any cheating or lying." he said. Voluns and Poggin nodded. "Okay, one....two....three!" said Basou and watched as they both galloped away quickly. Laughing he looked over at Arachne and smiled.

Arachne chuckled slightly, then walked over to Basou. She threw the woven flowers over his head, tying the end together into a necklace. She smiled slightly up to him.

Basou looked at the necklace of flowers and chuckled. "This is very nice Arachne, thanks." he said and nodded. "Come on...we should go see them, I need to see who really won.."

Arachne smiled, then nodded. "Alright," she said. She followed Basou.

Basou chuckled and trotted over to their homes. "I have a feeling the winner will be Poggin...but I could be wrong." he said and shrugged. When they got there, Poggin and Voluns weren't there yet. "Hmm...they must have taken the long way home..." he explained and shrugged.

"There's more than one way?" Arachne said, looking over at Basou.

Basou nodded. "Yeah." he said to her. "I only know of two ways, the usual way and the long way." he said to her. "I never take the long way home unless I want to be alone and think." he explained. After a while he heard them coming and nodded. "Here they come." he whispered and pointed off into the distance where Voluns was in the lead, and jumped over a boulder.

"I see," Arachne said. She looked over when she heard the galloping, watching them.

Voluns looked back as Poggin jumped over the boulder and was catching up. Getting speed, Voluns ended up winning and smiled when he slowed to a trot and looked at Poggin. "See?, Told you I could win." he said and laughed happily. "Impressive Voluns!" said Poggin. Basou nodded. "Very, you seemed to have gotten faster. I mean, you never were able to beat Poggin at a race." he explained. "Well I just had to keep trying.." answered Voluns.

Arachne chuckled slightly, clapping her hands. "Congrats," she said with a smile.

Valuns looked over at her and smiled. "Thank-you.." he said softly as he looked over at Poggin. "That was a good race, we should do it again sometime!" he said with a grin on his face. Poggin narrowed his eyes. "Oh, we will...and I'll win next time." he said. Voluns snorted. "Yeah, I bet you will." he said and shook his head. Basou laughed. "Hey, don't get too cocky Voluns..." he warned.

"Maybe I could set up a few webs for the next race?" Arachne said, "That way it would be a bit different.... Maybe more challenging? Just a thought."

Basou nodded. "That would actually work, you both would have to cut your way through or just find a way around it." he said and chuckled. "It should be fun, I'll probably join in as well." he said and shrugged. Poggin nodded. "Okay, we accept the challenge...we can do it any day that Voluns feels up for it." he said. Voluns looked at them and nodded. "I'll let you all know." he said and yawned.

Arachne smiled. "Alright," she said with a small nod, "Basou, you're gonna have to show me the trails one day. That way I'll know where to put up my webs."

Basou looked at her. "I can show them to you now if you'd like." he said. "Ooooh! they want to be alone!" said Voluns laughing. "How cute!" said Poggin. Basou looked at them and glared. "Not like that you pervs!" he said smacking their heads with his hand.

Arachne blinked a couple times, her cheeks flushing to a bright red. "Don't say it like that!" she said with a huff, crossing her arms over her stomach.

"Ouch!" said Voluns. "Hey!" said Poggin. Basou nodded in satisfaction. "There...much better." he said and smirked. He looked over at Arachne and chuckled. "Ignore them...they are immature at times." he said and pat her shoulder gently. "Well we'll leave you two alone then...we should go gather some fruit to eat later...come on Voluns." said Poggin before walking away. Voluns looked at both of them before walking beside Poggin.

Arachne nodded slightly, watching as they left. She then looked up at Basou. "Well then..." she said, "Lead the way~"

Basou watched them leave and nodded as he began to walk around and through a pathway. "This one here actually leads to the back of our homes..." he explained. "This is the usual way we come home." he explained.

Arachne nodded, examining the scenery. "I see," she said.

Basou continued to walk and looked around the trail. "The long way is that way, would you like to see that one?" he asked her. He glanced over at her but then looked straight ahead as he continued to walk.

"Sure," Arachne said, still looking around. She was visualizing what types of web designs she could make along the trees.

"Very well then, follow me.." he said and began to lead her to the long way back home. "Not many people take the long way...I don't know why, I actually prefer it." he said and shrugged.

Arachne shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe they just want to get home faster?" she said.
