Arachne blinked a couple times. "Who hates you?" she asked as she followed him.

"Every stupid girl I've fallen for...none like me...so that's why I don't even bother anymore...that's why I prefer to be alone or with Poggin and Voluns." he explained sadly.

"Are they all centaurs?" Arachne asked, her head tilting to the side slightly.

Basou nodded. "Of course they are...I wouldn't fall in love with anything else...anyone else...." he said and continued walking.

"Maybe you should try to find another race that is similar to you centaurs," Arachne said, "Like... Fauns, maybe?"

Basou rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Fauns...stupid little creatures...very aggressive too..." he explained. "They think that they are equal to us...but they're not..."

"I was just giving an example of a race that was half animal," Arachne said with a sigh, "By the way, I know a nice faun. She wasn't aggressive one bit, nor was she stupid. She didn't think she was equal to centaurs because she wasn't a horse. She knows her place, unlike most of the people in her family. I haven't seen her in a while, though... She visited my house a couple times after we first met, but that was it." She shrugged her shoulders slightly.

Basou stopped walking and looked at her. "I don't want to fall in love with a faun...and maybe she just forgot about you or didn't have time anymore to go visit you?" he suggested. "I'm sure you'll see her again someday..." he added softly.

"Then don't fall in love with a faun," Arachne said as she stopped and looked at Basou, "Fall in love with whoever you want to. Those other centaurs that don't like you don't know what they're missing." She smiled slightly. "Any girl would be lucky to have you," she said.

Basou looked at her. "Oh trust me...I won't fall in love with a faun...I hate them." he spat and then his face softened as she spoke. He slowly approached her and looked confused. "You really think so Arachne?" he asked. "You really think that any girl would be lucky with me?" he asked.

Arachne nodded slightly. "Yeah," she said with a smile, "I really think so."

Basou let out a chuckle and began to walk away again. "Right..." he said and chuckled again. His tail swayed behind him as he walked and he looked around, up at the trees and yawned.

Arachne blinked a couple times, following Basou again. She stayed silent, unsure of what to talk about now.

"I bet humans are lucky....they can climb trees...they can do a lot of things that we can't do." he said and frowned. "I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I was fully human..."

"I've been wondering what that would be like as well," Arachne said, "Two legs instead of eight... Maybe even a normal life..."

"Two legs instead of four..." he whispered and sighed. "We have to find a way to be happy though with the life we were given since there is no way to change it." he explained to her and nodded.

Arachne nodded slightly. "Yeah," she said, "I know..."

"You're a nice person Arachne...and I'm sure the guy the falls for you and that you accept, is going to be lucky too..." said Basou as he looked at her and then continued walking.

Arachne chuckled softly. "I have yet to find a guy that is attracted to me," she said, "But, if I ever do find a partner, they would be lucky. Same goes for you."

"I'm in no rush to fall in love though...I'm tired of trying to fall in love...I always fall in love with the wrong people Arachne..." he said to her and frowned.

"I'm in no rush either," Arachne said, "I'm taking my time, hoping to find the right person to fall in love with. It just takes time, that's all. I'm sure you'll find the right one for you sooner or later."

Basou looked at her and shrugged. "Maybe...maybe not who knows..." he said and removed a strand of hair from her face. "Come on...I bet you're tired..." he said and continued to walk.

Arachne smiled sheepishly when he removed the strand of hair from her face. "Alright," she said with a small nod and followed him.

Basou soon reached the village and sighed. "Finally home." he said and looked around. The first person he saw was Shaleska the Irish Centaur female. She had been his first crush, but she didn't like him. Sighing, Basou did his best to walk away and stay away from her sight.

Arachne continued to follow Basou, starting to feel slightly awkward. She had forgotten that the villagers were all centaurs and that she was an arachnid. She tried her best to shake off the feeling, but it didn't help her much.
