Aaron will listen to anyone and try his best to get the job done as quickly as possible. He will at times serve those who he doesn't know much about and can put himself in danger. He has a hard time being told that he has done a bad job and will often become nervous and shakey. Though often very casual, when it is needed he can be strict. biography: The Harris generation has consisted of a family of butlers for hundreds of years, a family member being chosen every few years and is trained to do their job. Aaron is the oldest of five brothers and a sister. He was trained around age ten, learning things like cooking, cleaning, and protecting others. When he was younger he met a girl who saved his life. He has tried to figure out a way to repay the girl ever since. |
Shinku Hotaru

Though she does have her days when her moodswings shoot up from being calm to being frustrated and angry. The only time she does get moody is when she hasn't fed in a couple days. But other then that she is calm. Shinku doesn't like to express odd affections for her servants but she does treat them with respect. She just doesn't show them more then enough gratitude. Biography: Shinku's parents had died when her family's mansion was on fire. Shinku was only seven years old while her brother Shouji was at the age of thirteen. After the accident, they had to hire new servants to help rebuild the new mansion. Though the kept the mansion at the same location it has always been at for generations. As the older brother of Shinku, he comes off as over protective since he doesn't want to see Shinku get hurt and doesn't trust people as easily as Shinku can. Biography: Shouji has always been there for his younger sister Shinku. He is not easy to trust people he doesnt know since they have been through a lot ever since their parents died in the tragic fire. He always watches after his sister like the protective older brother he is and will not let anyone put Shinku in harmsway. |
Aaron's eyes wandered for a moment around the large building in front of him. "The outside seems nice, maybe everything is like this?" He told himself, wanting to have good thoughts about the place; he didn't want to judge. He put on a straight face, not wanting his first impression on his first day to be a flop. He was curious to see who he was working for. Being his family gave the information about this place, telling him of other members of the family that had worked for the same place. Maybe as a complement to some, Aaron had a handful of lazy asses and stupid people in his family. He didn't deny that he had made it further then his cousins and his siblings, he was just smart and did what was told, that got him far. As he walked towards the door he smiled, softly knocking on the door. He waited patiently, awaiting the owner to show up or call him in.

Today was finally the day. The day Shinku and her brother would meet their newest recruit of servants to work at the Hotari manor. The generations before this servant had worked at the Hotari manor and so that is one of the reasons why Shinku was allowing him to work at the manor. Shinku was pretty excited in meeting this boy. Shouji on the other hand wasn't all that excited about it. Shouji knew this guy's parents or grandparents probably worked at their family's manor but that doesn't mean Shouji trusted them. The people closest to them were usually hiding something. And that is why Shouji felt suspecious. Unlike his sister, Shouji couldn't trust people just like that. No matter if they worked in their family for generations or not. They had to prove to him that he could trust them. Hearing the knock at the door Shinku looked to her brother. "Behave yourself alright?" She told him before she answered the door. Shouji just rolled his eyes once she turned her back. He didn't understand why she was so easy to trust people. "He could be an enemy Shinku." He muttered. But she didn't have a chance to reply as she then saw the boy at her doorstep. To Shinku he did look a bit familiar to her but she couldn't place where she had seen him or if she had seen him before. "Hello, My name is Shinku Hotari. Welcome." She moved away from the door so Aaron could enter. Usually a person who was this royal had their other servants to answer the door for them but Shinku wanted to meet this boy face to face. She did this with all of her servants that were new. She wanted to make them feel comfortable without her showing any extra grattitude that isn't needed. She almost forgot her brother was actually still standing there since she had been lost in her own thoughts for a bit. She only came to reality when she heard the door closed by which her brother closed the door after Aaron was inside the manor. "Oh, This is my brother, Shouji Hotari. He also lives at the manor here. So you will not only be working for me but as well as my brother. Now do you have any questions for either of us before we put you to work?" She asked resting her hands in front of her dark blue and white medium length dress. "We also have other servants so if you ever get lost or need help either of them are sure to help you out as they have been working here for a while. At least for almost ten years now. Some have worked less and some have worked here more." She told him. "Now My bedroom is upstairs at the end of the hall on the right side. My brother's is three ways down on the left side. You can't miss either of them as they do have signs which have both our names on them." She explained. She wanted to make sure she explained things well enough for him to coprehend as well as understand. "Sorry if I am explaining things a bit too fast, I just want to make sure you feel comfortable here as I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable. Now since this place is quite big my brother here can give you a tour of the place." Just the sound of that made Shouji uncomfortable. Maybe I should make the new kid as uncomfortable as possible? Shouji thought to himself. He hated when his sister pulled a fast one on him. It was probably since he made that comment before she opened the door. [sorry this post is a bit sucky. I tried. XD] |
as he was outside of the door he could hear faint whispering, but he blocked it, not wanting to listen on the conversation that was going on from the other side of the door. after waiting a few minutes he noticed the door opening, seeing a fermilure looking girl and what was apparently her brother. He smiled softly and took a bow just to be polite. "Hello, pleased to meet you two. I'm Aaron Harris." He said softly.
His eyes shifted back and forth towards his two new bosses. The girl who had now called herself Shinku seemed to want to know him, while the male named Shouji seemed to almost be giving him the death glare and motioning him to leave just from the look on his face. He hoped that he hadn't already offended Shouji. am I doing anything wrong for him to be mad? he thought to himself, his mind floating off for a minute. He went blank for a minute before coming back to reality as Shinku asked if he had any questions. He opened his mouth to talk when he was interrupted by the speaking about where rooms were. He was completely fine that he was interrupted only because the one interrupting was the one he was working for now. As they went through where the rooms Aaron memorized the rooms, making sure he wouldn't confuse himself. When she apologized for explaining things so fast he laughed softly. "its perfectly fine. I will learn as I go, but a tour would be nice." He said and looked towards the older male again, keeping a friendly and loyal look on his face. |
Shinku just gave Aaron a friendly smile. Normally Shinku didn't show this side of her, but since she strongly felt she had seen him before that was the reason why she was showing him a bit more affection then she did with her other servants. "Well while you two have a tour of the house, I will tell the chef to make something special tonight. You wont start working until tomorrow morning. Hopefully that is alright with you. As for eating are there any allergies I need to know so that I can tell the chef or if your vegetarian, vegan?" Shinku asked. It was true that they did usually treat they're new servants like a guest on they're first day. They wanted to make they're servants feel welcomed and not have them feel like this place was a prison of some sort. Shinku always treated her servants well. Shouji..well he was a different story. Once Aaron gave Shinku the information she needed, Shouji began heading down the hall already starting the tour. The only way he let Aaron let him know he was already starting the tour was waving his hand for Aaron to follow. But before both of them left, Shinku gave her brother a glare. Shinku wouldn't allow Shouji to make Aaron feel uncomfortable. "You two have fun on the tour." She said before they left. Shouji's first place to show Aaron was the library. It had been located under the level of where they were. To get to the library was a long flight of stairs. "Now this is the library. None of the servants are permited down here. I am only showing you this room so you know not to go in here." He explained to Aaron. All servants weren't down in the library for a lot of reasons. But the main reason was the books they had related to the Hotari family which no one was permitted to read since it held quite a bit of secrets. Secrets servants aren't suppose to know. Giving Aaron a minute or two to look around the room, Shouji then left back up the stairs letting Aaron catch up. After an hour or so, Shouji gave him a full tour with every place that was inside the manor. The last place was upstairs to the rooms. He had to show Aaron where he would be staying after all. Stopping midway in the hallway he tuned to Aaron. "This will be your room for the time being while you are working for us if you do plan to stay at the manor." Shouji said in a slightly cold tone. He then headed off though stopped at the top of the staircase. "Oh and one more thing." He paused. "Nothing is what it seems." |
After Aaron stated his lack of being able to consume large amounts of sugar and other similar allergies, he turned towards the older male who was already practically starting the tour without him. He jumped a bit and quickly fallowed behind the dark haired boy with ease, staring around in awe from how beautiful the house was. Sure, it was a bit of a pity that the room that he was most surprised about was the library, but he understood; they wanted to keep some things off limit from the servants and he was sure there was a good reason for that so he didn't complain, he just added that to a small list he wrote up on the way, also writing up some rules he had to fallow.
He got to see a few other servants floating around for a bit; some seeming relatively kind, the others either annoyed or quiet and shy. One thing popped up in his mind from seeing all the others though. What way had they wanted to address him, and how did they want him to address them by? He was completely fine with calling him by their names, but if they rather him call them something different, he was completely fine with that. He kept that question for later when he was able to talk to both of the siblings. as they started narrowing to the end of his tour, he was led to his room. He stared into it to see what living conditions he was in. It was relatively nice other then the lighting being a little dim, but he could learn to live with that.He listened up as Shouji mentioned that the place wasn't as it seemed, but he wasn't too worried. He laughed softly, "whats the worst that could happen? I'm sure whatever it is I can learn to get used to it." He said then looked over at Shouji and gave a soft smile to him. "Thank you so much for the tour, and I'm grateful for you going through all this trouble." He said softly, beginning to already learn about shouji a bit form the tour. |
