Adonia groaned quietly as she sat up, blinking a few times. Oh crap she had a headache. She groaned as she closed her eyes, her center shifting and adjusting to the Power flow of... wherever she was.

Where was she, anyway? Frowning, she pushed herself carefully to her feet, assessing herself for injuries. So far so good. Except the she had no idea where she was and no memory of how she got there. Last thing she remembered was boarding a transport for Australia for her vacation. She remembered there had been a couple other Psions on the transport, but she hadn't talked to any of them. She generally wasn't real social.

Not with people, anyway.

Liam opened his eyes slowly, taking stock of what was going on around him. His staff, dark oak solid and reassuring in his hand. He sat up carefully, wincing at the pain in his head, and brought a hand up to rub blood from his eyes from a cut on his forehead.

It took him only a few moments to realize that they were somewhere else; the Power here didn't feel the same. But he had no idea where they could be. Taking his time, he got to his feet, using his staff to steady himself, his left leg stiff. He could see a woman not too far away, looking disoriented, and he started to walk over to her.

"You alright?" he called, keeping his distance. Just in case.

Adonia turned her attention to him, looking at him for a few moments before she nodded. "Fine. You?"

Liam nodded. "Okay. Any other survivors?" At Adonia's shrug, he sighed and started to look around.

Vincent groaned slightly as he woke up. Good gods, what happened...? He sat up and winced as his head throbbed. Steadying himself on a bit of debris, he stood up and looked around. For a moment, he didn't see anyone, and then someone came into view. Well, at least there were other people around...

"Hey!" he called. Then he winced again as it made his head throb more. Yep, definitely not using his skill until his head cleared. Carefully, he used one hand to probe around on his skull, and felt a nasty knot on the side of his head, but thankfully no blood.

Tessa had a bit of an easier time rousing herself, although not by much. When she came to, she found herself underneath what felt like a piece of sheet metal. It wasn't laying on top of her, per se, but she had to try to push it off of herself to get out from under it and she hissed in pain as she did so. Once she was out in the light, she tried to take a look at herself and found that she had scrapes up and down her arms and one of her hips seemed to be free of several layers of skin and was weeping a bit where it wasn't crusted over. She could feel grit and other crud on her face as well, and carefully scraped off what she could with her fingers.

She walked warily around the wreckage for a moment or two, and jumped slightly when she rounded a particularly large piece of debris and found others on the other side.

"Everyone alright?" Liam looked around at them. They were all dirty, filthy really, but no one seemed to be injured too badly. Scrapes, bumps and bruises, but no obviously broken bones or anything like that. Well. Not too bad a start.

"Except for having been dropped in the middle of nowhere," Adonia groused, putting a hand to her head. She had a few cuts on her chin, and one that had just missed her eye, leaving blood covering half her face. "The hell happened?" She looked around at the wreckage, frowning.

"It would seem the transport failed." Liam's voice was dry as he looked around, starting to poke at some wreckage with his staff. The small bones at the top clicked together uneasily, tied with hemp twine.

"No shit." Adonia scowled at nothing, tempted to indulge in a bit of a temper tantrum and kick something. Then she shook herself and looked around. "Any idea where we were in the route when we came crashing down?"

"I have no idea," Vincent said as he massaged his temples a bit to try to get his head to clear. The throbbing lessened a bit with the pressure of his fingers, but returned when he lowered his hands again. Yeah, he'd gotten brained pretty hard on something.

"Are we the only ones?" Tessa spoke up. She was loathe to draw too much attention to herself; her instincts were screaming at her to make herself as unnoticeable as possible until she could heal and figure out what was going on, but in order to do that, she knew she had to ask a few questions.

"Haven't seen anyone else." Liam shrugged, limping over to where the trees started to thin, revealing a beach not far off. "I see more bits of wreckage over there, though."

"Oh good, more crap to sort though." Adonia kept the caustic comments to herself. Really she wasn't trying to be overly mean, but she'd been dropped from a hover and she was having a bad day. She figured a little ill temper would be excuseable.

"We should go take a look around," Liam continued as if Adonia hadn't spoken. He figured the best thing was just to ignore her until he could figure out how powerful she was, what she was, and if he needed her or not.

Tessa went to look through the trees as well, her gait stiff from her injured leg. The injury wasn't much worse than the skinned hip, on the surface, but it felt like she'd pulled some of the muscles and ligaments, at least. Maybe worse than that. And her chest ached as if some of her ribs were bruised, which wouldn't surprise her. Subtly, she changed her eyes just slightly to sharpen her vision.

"I don't see anyone out there," she murmured, visually sweeping the wreckage. She blinked as she shifted her eyes back again.

Vincent just stayed quiet for the moment. There wasn't much more he could ask that hadn't been asked already, and he couldn't offer to help until his head stopped throbbing and spinning, and he could reliably use his skill again.

Liam nodded. "Even so, we should see if we can find supplies," he said quietly. "And get a look around." Maybe if they were able to look around they'd have a better idea of where in the world they were. In this age of technology, someone would notice they were missing and should come looking for them.

Key word being "should".

Adonia snorted and leaned back a tree, rolling her shoulders to get rid of the stiffness. She didn't seem to be injured other than that, apart from aches and pains from falling however many feet from a crashing hover. Which was just so bloody hard to get her head around.

Tessa nodded after a moment. For now, it would be easiest to cooperate with the others, at least until they figured out their situation. Carefully, she started picking around the wreckage, looking for anything that might help them at the moment.

Vincent nodded as well, and then braced himself against a tree.

"Gods, my head is spinning," he muttered as he lowered himself to sit on the ground. He ached all over, but nothing worse than that. The worst of it was the lump on his head.

"Take it easy," Liam said, motioning for him to sit again. "You've probably got backlash too, from the Power acclimation here." He looked around and spotted a water bottle, scooping it up and handing it over to Vincent. "Here. Drink."

Adonia watched the two for a moment before she moved around the wreckage where they were, poking through things and picking up anything that might be helpful. Like water and what food she could find.

"Feels like I have a lump the size of my fist," Vincent muttered as he accepted the water. "Got brained good by something, not sure what."

"This place feels weird," Tessa noted, shuddering slightly. The Power wasn't what she was used to, and it raised goosebumps on her skin.

"There's any number of rocks or trees you could have hit," Liam said with a shrug. "Just take it easy for a while, let yourself readjust. We're not going anywhere fast." That last was dry and just the teensiest bit bitter. He hated being in one place for too long.

Adonia nodded her agreement. "Feels too wild," she said quietly. "Felt something like this when I was traveling across the country. Where people don't live, the Power gets wild, channeled through trees and animals and things. Feels different."

Vincent made a small sound of generic agreement and leaned back against the tree, closing his eyes. As soon as his head stopped spinning, he would help find supplies. Until then, he was just this side of useless to everyone.

Tessa nodded a bit, humming in agreement. It wasn't necessarily a bad feeling... just unfamiliar in a way that made the hairs on her arms stand on end. It wasn't anything she didn't think she could get used to, at any rate, so she kept poking around the wreckage to see what she could find.

Seeing that the girls had control of the situation at that bit of wreckage, he moved out onto the beach to start looking through that wreckage. He grimaced when he found the pilot dead, shifting rubble off the body and setting it aside for the moment. They could figure out what to do later on.

Adonia managed to find an empty bag and filled it with the water bottles, and then dumped out another bag to put all the food in it. A hair brush, some pill bottles, and a few random articles of clothing fell out of the bag, and she made a face. They were going to have a lot to sort through.

Tessa managed to dig out another package of water bottles, and a few packets of nonperishables, but nothing substantial. Her nose told her that there had been 'real' food there at one point, but it had likely either been eaten before the crash, or destroyed during it. Either way, it was gone. She grimaced when she found another member of the staff dead, and pulled the body out of the wreckage before moving on to another area.

Adonia glanced over at Liam before she dragged the two bodies together off to the side and out of the way. She figured they'd have to do something with them soon, but she wasn't going to worry about that just yet.

It took her a few minutes to get an area cleared, still under the trees so it was shady but with a good view of the beach, and then she smoothed down the grass in case they had to stay the night. Hey, she could be prepared when she wanted.

The sun seemed to set quickly as they sifted through the wreckage. It was slowly becoming clear that they weren't going to be rescued, at least not that day. Hopefully, someone would find them soon, but it was clearly not going to be immediate. Once that was made clear, Tessa began to set up her own sort of rudimentary shelter for the night. She didn't trust any of the others, not enough for her to want to risk shifting into a more wilderness-friendly form, so she had to make do with what was there.

Vincent's head felt marginally better by sunset, so he was up and helping look for supplies. He didn't trust himself to be able to hold his focus enough to use his skills, though, so he did everything by hand for the moment.

Adonia quickly got frustrated just looking through the rubble and made her own little hideaway, taking some curtains from the hover and stringing them up along the edge of a piece of wreckage big enough for her to curl up under. She figured it was good enough for the moment, and there was no way she was sharing with anyone else. Not only did she not trust them, but she was far from touchy-feely.

Liam got a fire going for all four of them, building it up quite a bit so it would keep them warm and be at least somewhat visible from the air. To get a decent signal fire he knew he'd have to go out to the beach, but this was good enough for now. And he figured it was best to not bother people and let them figure out their own situations for the moment.

Once Tessa had a shelter weather-proof enough that she wouldn't get soaked if it rained on them, she cautiously made her way towards the fire. All of her instincts screamed at her to be wary of fire, but she held them at bay. Those kinds of instincts were only useful when she wasn't in human form. She glanced at the snack-like foods and bottles of water they had been able to salvage and wrinkled her nose slightly. Those weren't going to last long.

Vincent managed to jury-rig a shelter out of a couple bits of sheet metal and a stand of trees. He'd managed to salvage a few cushions from the hover and stuffed them into the shelter, creating something of a bed for the night. It would do for one night, he reasoned. Once he'd done that, he made his way over to the fire. Being alone in the darkness unnerved him, and the fire was bright and welcoming.

"So now what?" he asked.

Liam glanced at them as they all sort of migrated to the fire. Really, he wasn't a leader type, but he supposed since no one else was volunteering he might as well sort of keep things together. Not like it was a real big group, anyway. And no norms, thank the gods.

"Now we wait," he said with a shrug. "I suspect someone will come looking for us. I don't know about you three, but I've got people who will notice I'm missing. Until they find us, we just have to hunker down and do the best we can. We might have to start gathering food from around the island if we're here more than a day or two." He looked at the snack bars and things meaningfully. They weren't very filling to begin with, and they wouldn't last long, even if the four of them were all careful.

Tessa nodded quietly. Hunting wasn't too hard to do, really, at least for her. She wasn't sure about any of the others, but she would have no problem fishing or anything to keep herself fed. Not a big deal.

Vincent, on the other hand, didn't like the thought of having to go fend for himself. He was something of a city-boy, and he had no real outdoorsy-type skills. Honestly, he was lucky he wasn't a norm, at least that way he had a way to maybe get himself enough food to get by.

"We'll see how long it takes for someone to find us, then," he said. "I know there are people who will notice I'm gone, too."

Liam nodded his agreement. "We can probably keep a signal fire or something going, for a while at least. I don't know how much my Talent will come in handy for things like gathering food but I can do some things, at least."

Adonia looked at him for a moment before she looked away. By tomorrow morning she should be feeling well enough to start reaching out to find the animals on the island so she could figure out if any of them could help to find food.

But other than that, her outdoors experience consisted mainly of camping and running through trees as training.

Vincent nodded.

"My Talent might be useless, too," he admitted. "Once my head stops pounding enough for me to use it, at any rate." He glanced at the others to see if they had anything to add.

Tessa stayed quiet. For now, the less they knew about her, the better. She wasn't about to advertise that she could survive on her own for a while, not when she had no idea whether or not they were friends or not.

Adonia just shrugged. She could be of some help, but she didn't want anyone depending on her, and she sure as hell wasn't going to depend on any of them. Depending on people got you screwed over in many unpleasant ways, and she wasn't quite ready to admit she was that hopeless.

Liam shrugged. "Well, we can see what happens," he said reasonably. "Just watch and wait. We can always help each other out." He almost wanted to laugh at himself. Not at the fact that he was basically asking for help; he wasn't too proud to ask. But at how bad this all sounded.

Vincent made a small, generic affirmative sound and glanced at the two women. Yeah, no. Neither of them looked like they were going to offer to help any time soon. He really hoped that they were rescued pretty quick, otherwise it was going to be a really, really bad stay.

Tessa glanced warily at Adonia. The other woman hadn't offered up any ideas yet, either; not that she blamed her. They were essentially stuck there until someone realized where they were, and it didn't seem like the men were all that useful outside of the city. Of course, she didn't know how useful Adonia would be, either. As far as Tessa was concerned, she was the most likely to come out of this situation alive.

Liam sighed, seeing that no one else was about to offer anything up or start a conversation, and he settled down where he was, relaxing. It was going to be a long night.

Adonia slept little and not very well at all during the night, but she felt better when she woke up. Her Power was back to its normal range, and she was feeling a little better. Of course, she also ached all over now that the bruises had really had a night to settle in, but she could deal with physical pain very well.

Liam blinked a few times, unwilling to move for a few minutes. Then he sighed and sat up, grimacing and rubbing the back of his neck. Well, they'd survived the night at least.
