Valefar grinned so slyly that his tiny fangs were noticeable. "Well I want to know, and you're not leaving this room until you tell me the truth." he explained simply as he reached out and poked her cheek before crossing his arms across his chest, waiting for her answer.

Vixen blushed a bit more when she heard Valefar and felt him poke her cheek though then puffed her cheeks a bit to get her blush to go away. She then took a deep breath and let it out slowly before looking at Valefar unsure. "Don't ask me why... especially after how you treated me when my parents disowned me but... for whatever reason I've grown feelings for you... stronger then being friends..." she said but couldn't stay looking at him for long since she was still really embarrassed.

"Stronger than being friends?" he repeated and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "So you want to be more than friends with me?" he asked and gently turned her head so that he could look at her properly. Is it love you feel towards me now? he wanted to ask but couldn't bring himself to ask it. Was love even possible between them? He wasn't sure, but it'd be fun to find out right?

Vixen nodded some but was still really embarrassed and now a little more so since he was making her look in his direction. "Y-yeah... but you probably think that sounds ridiculous... I mean... I am still part angel... not to mention your slave..." she said quietly though then let her eyes drop to the table a bit her face cooling as she mentioned her being his slave.

"Yes, but technically you are still a princess." he said and looked at her and frowned. "Why don't you look at me Vixen?" he asked and shrugged. "You know, sometimes the prince will fall for the maid or slave. Looks don't define who a person is. Just because you're my slave doesn't mean that's all you'll ever be, I mean...you're a princess spending your time as my slave." he explained.

"Unfortunately you're wrong... my parents disowned me... even if I had just been forced to stay here as a slave so long as they didn't disown me I was still the princess... but they did so now I am just a slave now." Vixen said softly then looked at Valefar softly. "I'm sorry... when I get embarrassed I look away... it's an old habit.... and... does that mean you like me?" she asked her blush coming back a bit though wasn't sure if he liked her or not.

Listening to Vixen, Valefar frowned a bit but soon shrugged it away and stared at her. "Well okay so you're a slave, big deal." he said and ran a hand through his hair and decided to answer her question with another question. "If I didn't like you, would I be here talking to you?" he asked and sneered. "Yes, I like you Vixen...you're interesting." he added softly as he played with a strand of her hair.

Vixen smiled sheepishly with a slight blush as she listened to Valefar and felt him playing with a strand of her hair which made her blush a little more. "I guess not..." she smiled a little still blushing a small bit.

Valefar chuckled and looked her in the eyes. "I really don't know what I'm attracted to you Vixen..." he said and sneered. "You blush so easily you know...I wonder why." he said softly as he leaned closer over the table to her.

"Uh..." Vixen blushed a little more as Valefar leaned in close to her across the table. "Valefar you know why I keep blushing" she said quietly still blushing some. He kept doing things that made her blush... like getting closer to her and such.

Valefar nodded and leaned back on his chair. "I see..." he said and stood up before pushing in his chair and walking to the door of the library. "You're excused...get some rest." he said and left the library. Does she love me? I have a feeling she does...why else would she blush so easily when I'm around. he thought to himself as he walked out to the pond to check on Charlie.

"Of course." Vixen said softly when Valefar told her to rest and she would once she was back in her room. She wondered some what Valefar thought about her exactly... did he like her like she thought she liked him? She pondered over that a bit as she headed back to her room and pulled out her book to read as she relaxed.

"Charlie...!" he called out as he sat in the pond and waited. It wasn't long before Charlie flew over to him and sat on his shoulder. "Charlie...is it possible for a demon and angel to fall in....love?" he asked; struggling with that last word. Charlie looked at him and cooed softly as he flapped his wings. "I don't know...I find her attractive yes, and I'd never let anything bad happen to her...but is that love?"

"I just don't understand... I don't see how I can like him like I do... none of the angel boys could ever get me to blush and the few tainted and fallen that I have met were all just too much... how can a demon... no a demon PRINCE be any different? It just doesn't make any sence but somehow it happened... is it wrong that I find myself so attracted to him?" Vixen asked as she looked at Sinz and she shrugged some. "Depends on who you ask... I don't think that there's any problem with it... but his parents would kill you if they knew... they can't exactly kill him because he's their only son after all." Sinz said with a slight frown but a bit of a shrug.

"Well let's give this love thing a try no?" asked Valefar to Charlie as he stood up. "Let's go and give her a flower...but you'll be the one giving it to her, I'll wait for you in the garden." he explained and sneered. "You'll fly to her door and screech as loud as you can then give her the rose and leave..." he instructed then shook his head. "No...never mind that will just be stupid really..."

"I'm sure everything will turn out fine Vixen don't worry, just relax and read okay?" Sinz smiled some and Vixen nodded. "I'll try." she said softly before looking at her book again and started to read once more.

Charlie screeched and splashed around in the water before flying to the garden. Valefar's eyes widened as he ran through the water and followed Charlie to his mother's garden. "Charlie what are you doing?!" he hissed. Charlie only croaked and blinked. "You're actually going along with the plan! Are you serious? Charlie she'll think I'm stupid for doing that." he groaned and looked at a grey-black dying flower. "That one...give her that one..." he said and watched as Charlie picked it out of the garden. "Okay you go...I'll wait for you here, besides I think a good meditation will come in handy how.." said Valefar as he sat on the ground and stared off into space. Charlie flew over to Vixen's room with the rose in his talons and screeched loudly, in an annoying manner as he waited for her to open the door.

Vixen looked up curiously from her book and slipped a bookmark into it as she heard Charlie screeching at her door and headed to see what was going on. When she opened the door she looked at the small dragon and saw one of the roses from Valefar's mother's garden and smiled some, it was a really nice gesture but she really didn't like the way it was wilted... still she accepted it and smiled some. "Why thank you, let the prince know I said thank you as well." she smiled softly before heading back into her room and placing the rose on her dresser.

Charlie screeched and looked around her room a bit before croaking and flying over to Valefar who was still sitting on the ground staring off into space. Croaking loudly, Charlie perched on Valefar's shoulder causing Valefar to snap out of his trance. "Oh, hey Charlie how'd it go?" he asked as he gently pet the dragon and blinked. Charlie cooed and hissed slightly. "Ah well at least she took it. I thought it was the nicest flower here. I mean look at them all...what do you think she would have loved more...the red one? I personally picked out the one I liked. I'll give her the red one next time I suppose." replied Valefar with a soft sigh as he looked up at the sky and grinned as a rain drop hit his face. "Let's go inside, it's starting to rain." he muttered and walked inside the castle with Charlie who began to fly around to the parlor.

After a few minutes Vixen slowly got up again and walked out of her room with Sinz knowing it was about time for dinner already and today she was actually feeling up to eating... she just hoped that she didn't run into the king since she was sure he would still try to kill her if she was by herself... even if she had her guardian with her.

"Charlie dinner is going to be ready soon so you really shouldn't be here in the parlor. I want you to come with me to the dinner table. Besides, I need to be with Vixen at all times, come on." he said and motioned for Charlie to follow him to the dinner table. As he walked, he noticed his parents were headed there so he stopped for a bit and looked around for Vixen.

Vixen had stopped on the stairs when she had seen the king and stayed out of sight for a few minutes until she saw Valefar and smiled some heading over to him quietly with Sinz fallowing.

Valefar looked at her and motioned for her to follow him into the dinner table. He then sat at his chair and motioned for Vixen to sit as well. He then looked over at his parents but said nothing, just a simple hello before waiting to be served. His eyes occasionally looked over at his parents who were glaring at Vixen. "Stop it...she's not doing anything wrong right now. Glare at me if you want, just not at her." he hissed. His mother hissed at him which only caused Valefar to grow angrier. "What are you so angry about?! I'm just telling you both to leave her alone, she'd done nothing wrong so far..."
