Valefar listened to Vixen and looked over at her. Vixen was acting as if nothing bad had ever happened to her...as if she'd been living here all her life. This surprised him very much as he let out a soft sigh. "Dragons prefer meat Vixen..." he said to her as he ran a hand through his hair. Standing up Valefar nodded and couldn't help wondering what they would eat for breakfast. It didn't matter really...as long as it tasted good he'd eat it with no complains. "Let's get some meat for the dragons and get ourselves some food too." he answered.

"Oh no that's not what I meant... they could either eat prepared meat like sausage or raw meat... sometimes Setta likes to eat prepared meat so I wasn't sure which Charlie liked better." Vixen said softly though then noticed that Valefar didn't seem as happy being away from home as she thought he would. "Valefar... are you okay? I thought you would be happy being away from your parents but you don't really seem too happy." she asked softly and a bit worriedly wondering if he was regretting coming with her or if he was just distracted or something.

"Well Charlie liked rotten meat. He'll it it burnt or bloody, raw or cooked." he said and glanced at Charlie who screeched causing Valefar to hiss in response. "He doesn't mind what kind of meat you throw at him as long as you throw it at him." he added and sighed. "I'll feed you right now, be a good and patient little dragon okay?" he asked and then looked at Vixen. "I'm not a morning person. I hope that answers all your questions." he answered flatly.

"Oh okay well then lets get over to the main house then." Vixen said softly before walking to the door and opening it though waited for Valefar so they could walk over together. It was a nice crisp morning though it wasn't too cool... more like comfortably breezy.

Valefar was silent as he motioned for Charlie to follow them out of the house. When he stepped outside he noticed how bright it was outside and immediately shielded his eyed from the light. Valefar blinked his eyes a couple of times so that they could adjust to the sunlight since he wasn't used to being outside in the morning.

Vixen smiled a little as she looked back at Valefar. "You're not used to morning light are ya?" she smiled softly as they walked over to the main house and were soon inside where you could smell the wonderful aroma or sausage and bacon and eggs cooking.

For a brief moment, Valefar looked like a little boy when he shook his head to say no. "I never leave the castle, especially in the morning. I only leave it at night...my eyes are very sensitive to the light." he explained and followed Vixen inside the main house where he was greeted by all the smells.

"Well good morning you two, you both look well rested." Kaji commented with a smile and Vixen smiled back nodding a bit. "Well Unmei fixed bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy so I hope you guys are hungry. Also she has some fresh meat for Setta and Charlie." he smiled softly before motioning for them to come into the dining room where a young looking dark haired woman was setting the table. "Oh hello Princess Vixen I haven't seen you in quite some time, who is this dashing gent with you?" the girl asked as she curtsied a bit and Vixen smiled. "Hi Karasu, this is Prince Valefar of the demon kingdom, Valefar this is Karasu, one of my cousins, she's a dark angel that lives heard with my cousins Kaji and Unmei, she works for them really but it's all her choice." she explained softly as Karasu smiled kindly to Valefar.

Valefar looked over at Kaji and muttered something inaudible before looking over at Charlie who was perched up on his shoulder. Slowly, he walked over to the dining room where Charlie screeched and he hushed him quickly. His eyes looked over at the girl speaking and he gave a curt nod when she curtsied. Listening to Vixen his eyebrows raised in amusement. "A dark angel huh?" he repeated and smirked. "Never thought I'd be able to see one. It's nice to meet you Karasu." he answered before reaching up and petting Charlie gently as to calm him down.

"Well dark angels are a little more common then tainted angels... I'm surprised you haven't met anymore dark angels... aren't you the Demon Prince? Dark Angels tend to go to the demon kingdom." Karasu said softly then finished setting everything up then excused herself before heading into the kitchen and getting the food from Unmei and brought out several large plates on a tray and set them in the center of the table so everyone could get what they wanted. "Well how about we go ahead and dig in?" Kaji suggested with a smile as he saw his wife come out with two rather large pieces of uncooked meat and set them down on the table for Setta and Charlie.

Valefar listened to what Karasu was saying but didn't have time to respond since she had left to get the food. When he noticed the food at the center of the table, it dawned on him that he didn't have here what he did have back home. Things were much different here; for one, he had to get out of the house in the morning! That was a big difference for Valefar. When Charlie saw the meat, he waited patiently until everyone began to eat. Valefar looked at Vixen then headed over to the table where he let Charlie start eating happily.

(so what was the other thing? How the food was made or that it was in the center of the table instead of on a plate already? I thought they did the same thing in the demon castle?)

Vixen smiled as she headed over to the table and took a seat then motioned for Valefar to sit next to her as she started to put food on her plate after Kaji, Unmei and Karasu sat down. "Oh Prince Valefar, if you know what herbs or spices your people put in their foods then I will gladly make you some food you're use to." Unmei said softly though Vixen didn't know what they were. She then noticed that her guardians weren't at the table and wondered some where they had went though supposed they would be back soon.

(Nope, at the demon castle they were served their food in front of them, not at the center. They didn't have to serve themselves)

Valefar had sat down beside Vixen and looked over at Unmei and blinked. "Oh...well don't worry about me really." he answered and looked over at Charlie then back at Unmei. "You really shouldn't trouble yourself for me. I don't remember what they used...I just do know that Eofe always used 'The root of the Hallowed' which just added a spicy flavor to the food." he muttered quietly. "It's no big deal really." he added quickly.

"If you say so, though if you have something that you would like fixed just tell me and I'll fix it." Unmei said softly though Vixen couldn't help but feel like she was only being nice to him because she hated her... she wouldn't act nice towards her but she would act nice and kind towards her fiance no problem.

As he began to serve himself some food he glanced over at Vixen then looked at Unmei and nodded. "I'll keep that in mind thank-you." he said before going quiet as he ate silently. In his head, he couldn't help but wonder why exactly Unmei was being nice to him the moment he arrived? Relax Valefar, she's just being nice like every other angel; she's probably afraid you'll kill her if she angers or upsets you....nothing to be too concerned about. he thought to himself as he ate.

"So how's Vivian? Found her dream prince yet? And Bronzo? Is he married yet?" Vixen asked speaking of her younger brother and sister. "Well... Bronzo has been courting a noble girl for about a month or two now... and Vivian says she likes a boy in the kingdom but your father isn't sure about him." Kaji said softly and Vixen nodded a bit "Sounds like him." she said softly before going back to eating.

Valefar did his best not to listen to the conversation and not to star one either since he had nothing to talk about. As he continued eating, he would steal glances at Charlie and smiled as he watched Charlie eat happily. At least someone is enjoying it here. he thought to himself. He like it here yes, but he just felt so out of place here, surrounded by angels of every kind....it was quite uncomfortable.

After a little bit Vixen was done eating and looked over to Setta and Charlie who had both finished eating and were relaxing it seemed. She then stood and helped Karasu clean up the empty plates then helped her clean the kitchen and dishes. "You know I have to say I have never seen my cousin so happy, she must really like you Prince Valefar." Kaji smiled softly looking at Valefar with a kind smile.

When Valefar was done he looked over at Charlie then turned to look at Kaji who was talking to him. "Well it surprises me as much as it surprises you Kaji." he said softly. "I never thought anyone would like me...." he explained and sighed softly. "It's nice to know that someone likes me though..."

"Well I can tell my cousin loves you." Kaji said softly with a smile then saw Vixen walk in and look to see if there was any other dishes though they had gotten them all. "Do you want me to show you around now Valefar?" she asked softly with a smile to Valefar.

"I am very happy to know she loves me, I love her too...My love for her is the reason that I'm here now." he explained and turned to look at Vixen. "Oh...sure I'd like that." he said and prepared himself to go outside in the light again which alone was scaring him.

Vixen smiled and lead Valefar outside and it didn't seem to be as bright as when they walked out there this morning. The trees were beautiful and young phoenix's and dragons were flying around and playing. "This is where Unmei trains the phoenix's to fly messages and right over there is where most of the dragons play and hang out. Then you have the garden and orchard over here." Vixen said softly as she lead Valefar around then stopped in front of the beautiful garden that had both flowers from the angel kingdom and demon kingdom in it.

"This...." he said, pointing to the flowers. "Is where Charlie and I will be spending most of our time." he finished and smiled slightly. "Vixen...." he started but stopped himself. Looking over at Vixen, Valefar pulled her into his arms and hugged her lovingly. He finally found someone who actually loved him back, and it was because of this that he never wanted to be apart from Vixen for more than a second. Valefar always wanted to be close to her, to keep her safe and just to hold her like this.

Vixen was surprised though then smiled and hugged Valefar back lovingly and leaned her head against him lovingly. "I love you Valefar. I hope you know that." she said softly with a smiled softly then leaned up pausing for a second before giving Valefar a soft and loving kiss on the lips her cheeks turning a little red as she kept her eyes closed while kissing him.

Valefar sighed happily as she hugged him back and slowly let his tail wrap around her waist gently, pulling her closer to him. "I love you too Vixen...." he whispered and looked down at Vixen lovingly before blinking in surprise at the kiss. Closing his eyes, Valefar began to kiss her back softly and slowly reached up to stroke her cheek gently as he kissed her.
