"Thank you Valefar." Setsudan said softly and kindly to him before looking at Usha. "There is only one way I will be happy and that is if I am free to make my own choices and if Valefar and Vixen are aloud to get married... but it seems that only a few people agree with that thought." Setsudan frowned and Vixen blushed lightly. hearing what Setsudan wanted.

Valefar frowned and looked at Vixen. "Cresil dear...Valefar doesn't want to marry Setsudan, and it's obvious that she doesn't want to marry him either." started Usha. "I've been able to see and learn, that Vixen and Valefar have always loved each other since day one when she first arrived here. Remember, he never allowed us to harm her in any way and he still doesn't. Why can't we just leave them in peace?" she asked and looked at Setsudan's father. "Setsudan is old enough to make her own decisions in life. If she doesn't want to get married, then you are her father shouldn't force her to. As parents we want our children to be happy after all." she explained and looked over at Vivian. Valefar then walked over to Vixen and hugged her weakly. "I need to go...have to get the ring..." he whispered into her ear before pulling away. "Charlie...come with me. Everyone else...excuse me but I must go get things done." he said and smiled slightly when Charlie followed him out of the room.

"Valefar!" Vixen said before quickly going after him and stopping him. "No no no you are not going anywhere but back to your bed." she said as she grabbed his wrist. "You're pale I won't let you go and end up passing out." she said calmly but sternly.
Setsudan smiled as did Vivian before Setsudan looked at her father quizittively as to his reaction to this information and also worried about Cresil. |
Valefar looked at her and shook his head. "I need to get your ring though." he insisted and looked at Charlie who cooed softly. "I need to get your ring Vixen..." he repeated and tried to free his wrist from her hand but couldn't.
Setsudan's father sighed and looked at his daughter. "So you really don't want to get married? You'd prefer having many lovers rather than one?" he asked, obviously still upset with the entire situation. Cresil watched Valefar leave and then watched Vixen go after him. Yes, it was obvious that they both really did love each other. |
"No Valefar my ring can wait." Vixen said softly feeling his weak tugs on her hand around his wrist. "Valefar you're so sick you can't even pull away from me, come on, please?" Vixen said softly and lovingly to Valefar.
"Yes father that is what I want... and someday I may settle with a man but for right now I don't want to... can you accept that?" Setsudan asked softly as she looked at her father and hoped he could. Vivian smiled and looked at Usha happily before looking at Cresil. "You know... when I first heard Valefar talking about his parents I thought you were awful to him... but now I've been able to get to know him I know that they are perfect for eachother and you two did a wonderful job raising Valefar." Vivian said with a soft smile. (sorry if the last part didn't come out right but I'm sure you know what I meant) |
"You're ring can't wait Vixen...how will I marry you if I don't present a ring for you?" he asked and gave up. "I'll go to bed then..." he said softly and slowly started to walk up the stairs and to his room. "Charlie, you can go be with Setta it's fine, Vixen will take care of me. Just, don't tell anyone that I'm sick okay?" he said softly. Charlie nodded and screeched softly before going off to find Setta,
Setsudan's father looked at his daughter and frowned. "This is what will make you happy then Setsudan?" he asked and gently began to fix her hair. "You do know that you won't be allowed to settle with a man unless I approve of him." he added and smirked. Usha turned to Vivian and smiled. "Well we both did our best to raise him into who he is now." she started. Cresil laughed. "He was a handful though, very rebellious too at times. In the end though, we were able to teach him all he knows and he learned a few things on his own." he explained. Usha nodded. "A lovely handful indeed. I just want my boy to be happy, I don't care who he's happy with, as long as he's happy." she said and looked at Cresil. "What about you dear...don't you agree?" she asked and kissed his cheek. Cresil was silent for a while before nodding. "Of course I agree. I want Valefar to be happy...and if Vixen makes him happy then he should be with her." he said quietly. |
Vixen sighed softly before fallowing Valefar upstairs and curled up with him in his bed. "I'm sorry love, I just can't have you going out and passing out or getting sicker. I promise we can figure this all out when you get to feeling better okay?" she said softly before kissing Valefar's cheek lightly.
"Of course." Setsudan smiled before hugging her father. "How about we go home now?" she offered softly and lovingly. "I know it must be hard for you Cresil but it's the right thing to do. They would do anything for each other, Valefar was even willing to risk his own life for Vixen and the same for Vixen to Valefar." Vivian said softly with a soft smile. |
Valefar didn't say anything since he had already fallen to sleep once his head hit the pillow. His face wasn't hot anymore...but it was still pretty warm and his breathing was barely audible.
Setsudan's father was a little surprised at the hug...he never really got much of those. He nodded anyway and looked at Cresil. "We should get going...although before we do, I want to say that your son seemed off. I think it would be best that you check on him." he explained softly before excusing himself and leaving the house with Setsudan. Cresil narrowed his eyes and looked at Usha worriedly. Usha frowned and motioned for him and Vivian to follow her upstairs. "What do you think he meant by that?" she asked. Cresil shook his head. "I don't know...but Valefar was sleeping a lot yesterday..." he answered. Frowning, Usha knocked on his door. "Valefar? Dear are you okay?" she asked and looked at Cresil worriedly. "Valefar can you please open the door?" asked his father. |
Vixen smiled some then curled closer to Valefar for a few minutes before jumping a little when she heard the knock and cursed under her breath. She slowly moved away from Valefar and made sure he didn't wake up before she headed to the door and opened it a bit surprised to see the three standing there and knew she would probably have to tell them that Valefar hadn't been feeling good.

Usha smiled at Vixen and looked over at Valefar. "Is he still sleeping?" she asked Vixen before gently moving her to the side and walking over to him. "Dear?" she whispered and stroke his cheek but frowned. "He's warm...is he sick?!" she asked and turned to Vixen. "Is my boy sick?!" she asked, panicking as she listened to his breathing and shook her head. "It sounds like what Eofe had..." she whispered and gently ran her fingers through his head before opening his window to let the air in, but kept the curtains closed.

"He's okay, but yes he's a little sick... it's not what Eofe had though. He's just got a cold but he keeps refusing to sleep and keeps sneaking out of the room so he keeps making himself worse. He didn't want to worry anyone with you guys planning the wedding and such so he just had me help him. He's gotten allot better though, before he was burning up and now he's just warm... if it had been what Eofe had he would still be burning up and wouldn't be able to move by himself by now." Vixen said and looked down at the last part since that's how it had happened with Eofe... she just kept getting worse and worse and never cooled off.

Usha frowned and hugged Vixen gently. "Now, now dear. Eofe may be no longer here...but we'll never forget her and her dying is not your fault." she said soothingly. Just then, Valefar opened his eyes and coughed slightly before noticing everyone in his room. Quickly, he sat up and smiled. "Oh...h-hello Mother, Father, Vivian." he said and stood up, making his tail sway casually behind him. "Valefar, you're sick...you could have told us and we would have put the wedding on hold until you got better. Now get back in bed and rest." said his father. "I...I'm not sick I'm fine father, really!" he said and put on a strong face. "Vixen told us everything, so no need to pretend anymore." he answered. Valefar frowned and looked at Vixen. "I....told you not to...tell them." he said before stopping the charade and letting his tail go limp as he coughed into his arm. "I don't need to rest, I have to get the ring for Vixen before it's too late..." he started but sighed when his father shook his head. "You will sleep, you can marry Vixen once you're better." he stated. Hearing this, Valefar widened his eyes but frowned and sat on the bed.

"I'm sorry Valefar... you were asleep and they could tell you weren't feeling well." Vixen said softly then blushed and looked shocked at Cresil. "Y-you mean it? and... you're okay with us getting married?" she asked seeming really surprised.

Valefar frowned before getting up and pulling Vixen towards the bed with him and curling up to her weakly. Cresil nodded at what Vixen said and blinked as he watched Valefar drag Vixen to bed with him. "I want my son to be happy...and if you make him happy then I believe it would be best that you both get married." he answered. Usha smiled and blushed slightly as she watched her son drag Vixen to bed with him.

Vixen blushed at Valefar softly before looking at his parents and nodding a bit. "Sorry but I think he's done talking and ready for bed..." she smirked slightly since Valefar would often do this whenever he wasn't feeling the best and just wanted to sleep.

Valefar groaned and snuggled against Vixen as she spoke. Usha nodded and ushered everyone out of the room. "Let's leave the prince alone, he needs to rest. Dear you still have work waiting in your study." she said as she closed the behind her and led them all downstairs. "I hope our son gets better soon dear." she said to Cresil. "He will dearest, he just needs his rest." assured Cresil. Valefar looked at Vixen for a bit before sighing softly and closing his eyes to sleep.

Vixen sighed softly as the others left and she smiled kissing her lovers cheek softly before cuddling him and falling asleep in his arms.
"You know I am honestly surprised at you Cresil... I wasn't expecting you to just let Vixen marry Valefar like that." Vivian said honestly and wondered how that even managed to happen. |
Valefar woke up a few minutes later and looked around. Noticing Vixen sleeping, he smiled and carefully got out of bed before tiptoeing out of his room and closing the door silently. Walking over to Vixen's room, he noticed Setta and Charlie talking. "Charlie...come with me...but be quiet!" he whispered. Charlie was confused but nodded and followed Valefar out of the room. Walking to the stairs he stopped and hid.
Cresil chuckled. "I just want my son to be happy. What kind of father would I be if I wanted otherwise?" he asked. "Now then, if you'll both excuse me I have to get back to work." he said and left to his study. Usha smiled and looked at Vivian. "Would you like to come with me to the library?" she asked. "You know, your daughter Vixen is doing a lovely job of teaching Setta and Charlie how to speak in our language." she explained as she led Vivian up the stairs. Hearing this, Valefar quickly pulled Charlie into the bathroom with him and closed the door quietly. Listening, he made sure they were gone before peaking his head out and motioning for Charlie to follow him outside. Charlie was silent the entire time and followed him outside the house. "Now then, let's go get Vixen a ring shall we?" he asked and smiled before getting in a carriage with Charlie and ordering the driver to take them to a Jewelry store. "I'll be in big trouble when I get back...but it's really important that I get the ring before I end up forgetting and it's too late." he explained and Charlie screeched. |

"Yes Vixen just loves helping others and has been working very hard on teaching Setta and Charlie how to speak since they turned into what they are now... Charlie's harder to teach then Setta but that just makes it even more exciting for her when he gets something right." Vivian laughed softly. |

"Poor Charlie, he gets so nervous when he talks in front of people. I find it adorable actually." answered Usha as she sat down. "Setta is a very confident girl...and Charlie is the shy boy. A very nice couple they make...don't you think?" she asked and smirked. When they arrived at a jewelry store, Valefar motioned for Charlie to follow and told the driver to wait for them. They walked inside and immediately got stares which Valefar ignored. "Okay Charlie...what do you think Vixen will like?" he asked quietly and looked at the various earrings, necklaces and rings to choose from. |
"Oh yes they make a wonderful couple, they are both as sweet as can be." Vivian smiled as she sat down with Usha.
"May I help you your highness?" The male behind the counter smiled with a slight bow. (sorry it's short) |
Usha narrowed her eyes as she looked at her friend. "Are you okay Vivian? You seem a little quiet." she stated softly. "You know...I do hope my boy get's better soon. I don't like seeing him like this and I know Vixen doesn't either." she added sadly.
Valefar rubbed his head gently. "I need two matching sets of jewelery. Two rings, two necklaces, and two pairs of earrings." he answered. Charlie watched Valefar closely before looking at all the shiny jewelery. "As everyone probably already knows...I'm getting married in a few days... so I need to present her with something as lovely as she is." he explained and smirked. "Price is not an issue." he added. |
"Of course sir... this isn't for Miss Setsudan is it?" The male asked softly before handing Valefar a sheet with how each of the gems looked so he could pick a color.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't think I was being quiet... I'm sure Valefar will be fine, he's a strong young man after all." Vivian smiled softly and reassuringly. |
Hearing the male, Valefar blinked in confusion but nodded. "Exactly...it's not for her, and I can thank the devils for that; because if it was I probably wouldn't be here right now." he answered and looked at the sheet. "Charlie which do you think she'd like?" he asked. Charlie looked at the colors before pointing to the Sapphire. "Blue huh?" he asked and smirked. "I like it too buddy, and I'm sure she'll love it." he said softly before looking at the male. "I'd like the gem to be the Sapphire please." he said quietly.
"I can't help but think you have something on your mind." started Usha before frowning. "Thank-you Vivian...but did you see him?" she asked and shook her head. "He looked so weak and fragile." she whispered as her white tail swayed slowly behind her. ((I'm surprised no one noticed he's gone! xD)) |
