Usha sighed and shook her head before sitting back in the garden quietly.
After awhile Vixen slowly awoke and moved a bit before looking up at Valefar and hugging him more laying her head on his chest lovingly. |
Valefar groaned as he opened his eyes. He hated mornings...he always was grumpy whenever he woke up witch could be dangerous to anyone who didn't handle it carefully. For the most part, it seemed like everyone had gotten used to the fact that he wasn't a morning person. So everyone usually stayed away from him or was very patient with him in the mornings. Seeing Vixen, he said nothing and yawned as he stroke her hair and wondered what today would bring.

"Good morning love." Vixen whispered softly though was a bit upset that they hadn't had the chance to get married the day before. That's all she wanted really... was to marry Valefar and live a peaceful life with him for the rest of their lives... could she not even have that?

"Morning...love..." whispered Valefar as he smiled slightly. "How....did you sleep?" he asked and yawned. Yesterday's events flooded his mind and he sighed. He knew now that she was still upset with what had happened...but at least no one was dead. At least she wasn't killed or taken away.

"I... didn't really sleep that well...." Vixen whispered and shivered some as she remembered what had happened and hugged Valefar tighter. Something had happened that no one saw... but what? What had happened to scare her so much? Why was she still shaking slightly about it? The only one that could probably get these answers was Valefar... who wasn't a morning person so probably wouldn't ask until later.

He knew that she'd say something along those lines. He immediately regretted asking and crawled out of bed angrily. "Father..." he hissed and stormed out of the room, quickly stumbling down the stairs and walking to his father's study. He stood in front of the closed door and raised his fist to knock but just opened it up instead and closed it behind him. "Father..." he started. Cresil looked up and sighed. "I see you just woke up, morning." he muttered and motioned for Valefar to sit. "What is it you want Valefar?" he asked. "Answers..." replied Valefar as he sat down. "Why do you always do what you do? Why must you always pry Vixen away from me? Why don't you just leave her alone?" asked Valefar. Cresil sighed. "I don't like her and you know it. I would have preferred that you marry someone else from this kingdom. If not Setsudan...then someone else. Not an angelic being." answered Cresil Casually.

"N-no Valefar please don't go." Vixen said with a whimper before she slowly fallowed him but stopped outside the door. "Valefar..." she said tiredly as she leaned outside the door hoping that Valefar wouldn't argue and would just come out and stay close to her.

"See...that's the thing father. I don't care if you don't like her. I do...I like her very much, I love her! Why can't you see that!?" Valefar hissed. "Do you not want me to be happy?" he asked. "Valefar, of course I want you to be happy. You are my only son and I want nothing more than for you to be happy. I apologize for hurting you...If you really want to marry her go ahead...but it's something I don't think I'll ever accept." Cresil answered. "Valefar widened his eyes and slammed a fist down onto his father's desk. "Why won't you accept it?! Why....why not?!" he cried. "I dress up, it's wrong because I shouldn't be wearing that kind of clothing for that kind of occasion, I yell at someone and it's wrong because I should never raise my voice at anyone. I fall in love with someone and it's wrong because she's half angel. Everything I do is wrong in your eyes, I've never seemed to impress you, I've always been a failure in your eyes. No matter how hard I tried to impress you...I could never really impress you. Would you like me to kill someone? If I kill someone will you be proud of me for ONCE!" Cresil shook his head. "That would be wrong, you have no reason to kill anyone Valefar." Hearing this, Valefar let out a sob and slammed a fist on the desk again. "You'll never be proud of me...no matter how hard I try...or what I do." Valefar whispered. Cresil looked at his son and stood up, then gently pulled Valefar into a hug and let him cry.

Vixen listened to the two who she could clearly hear through the door before sighing knowing there was nothing she could do so she just tried to make her way back to her room. As she did though she started to pant and cough harshly for a few long minutes before collapsing with blood on her hands and running down her mouth before passing out not far from the study door... if it wasn't so early someone probably would have noticed her right away.

Valefar pulled away and didn't even look at his father. "I don't want you hugging me...you hate me so what's the point of your hugs?" Valefar started and sighed. "At least you answered honestly...I have to go...I'm still tired." he muttered and walked out of the study before starting to walk back to his room. Noticing Vixen on the ground, he quickly ran over to her and freaked when he saw the blood on her hands. "V-Vixen?!" he gasped and quickly took her to his room where he lay her down and placed a cool and wet towel on her forehead before cleaning off the blood from her hands. "Vixen...love you'll be okay. I'll take care of you...I won't lose you." he whispered and frowned. "No...I can't and I won't lose you..."

A few minutes after Valefar had laid Vixen down she slowly woke up looking dissorianted and dizzy for a moment before looking up at Valefar. "H-how did I get back in here? What happened?" she asked softly and tiredly not knowing that she had passed out at all.

"You had passed out..." he muttered and sighed softly before taking her hand in his and examining it. "You had blood on your hands.. I was getting freaked out...I was afraid that I was going to lose you. Though maybe I was over reacting.." he added and kissed her softly. "I love you.." he whispered and smiled softly.

"I love you too Valefar... I'm sorry for worrying you." Vixen said softly before kissing the back of his hand softly. You could tell whatever had happened the day before was causing her to act a bit differently and her body to pass out and such... but she hadn't said yet what had happened... she didn't want to think about it.

"Love...I..I know you don't want to. I...I need to know what happened...are you truly okay?" he started and frowned. "Or are you just putting on a strong face... I want to know what exactly happened. We need to talk about it at some point we can't just avoid the topic." he explained and looked at her with a serious look on his face.

Vixen felt tears coming to her eyes and looked away for a moment before looking back at Valefar. "They kept hitting me over and over in the chest and stomach... and they hit me really hard under my stomach with something but I don't know what it was... Valefar they said I wouldn't have kids... they said it as if I was pregnant... if I was they probably killed the baby.... oh gosh Valefar what if I had been pregnant?!" she said before she broke down and started sobbing painfully into his chest.

Valefar listened to her and lay down beside her as he pulled her closer to her. "Love...y-you weren't pregnant though...were you?" he asked her softly. I-I mean you said we couldn't have kids...until you did something with herbs but you never really got around to doing that so I don't think you could have been.." he explained and stroke her hair. "It's fine love...go ahead and cry...you'll feel better." he whispered and frowned as he stroke her hair gently, letting her cry into his chest.

"I started the herbs last week after we got here.... and I had been so relaxed when we were alone... It's very possible..." Vixen whispered before crying a bit more still hugging him and crying into his chest... she hoped that she wasn't but she had a bad feeling that she was... and that her baby either wouldn't live or would have something wrong with it.

Valefar widened his eyes and tensed up slightly. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked her seriously. "Love...just relax okay? I don't want you to worry or stress. Right now you need to relax and get better...although we should probably take you to a doctor just to be sure.." he explained and cradled her lovingly in his arms.

"I'm sorry Valefar... the book said it could take up to a month to work... I might not be... but I really don't know..." Vixen said softly before looking up at Valefar lovingly and apologetically.

Valefar stroke her cheek softly and wiped away her tears. "Would you like to go to a doctor to be sure?" he asked and kissed her softly. "You shouldn't be sorry Vixen, love. I understand it's natural for you to worry about that sort of thing. It's okay really." he said soothingly. "Just know, that no matter what I will always be here for you and will always love you." he assured.

Vixen smiled softly and sadly before kissing Valefar lovingly. "I... I think we should go sometime soon... the sooner the better..." she said softly but really didn't want to move... she wasn't sure if she even could move right now.

"We can go tomorrow...I don't think today is a good day. You need to rest as much as possible." he explained and smiled softly. "Please don't be sad love...I want you to smile...for me?" he asked and ran a hand through her hair gently. "I love you so much Vixen...I don't know if you'll ever know just how much you mean to me. I want you to be happy...I want to keep you safe and protected." he started and sighed softly. "I always say I'll keep you safe...but I never do.. I'm sorry." he whispered.

"Okay love... and I know you love me... I love you more then anything else too... I couldn't imagine my life without you... and if I could it would be too awful to bear." Vixen said softly before kissing Valefar lovingly on the lips. "Are you sure you don't want to go today?" she asked softly since it was still early and so long as she didn't walk she would be okay

"Vixen...we can go today but I think it would be best that you get enough rest before you move around...don't you think?" he suggested and kissed her back softly. "I don't want you to imagine life without me Vixen...I will never imagine life without you because that would not be life at all...just endless torture and sadness." he explained.

"Yeah... I'm just worried is all... I want to find out if there is anything wrong as soon as I can ya know?" Vixen said softly then nodded in agreement before kissing Valefar softly and lovingly again.
