"Ah yes, being a mother is a lovely thing isn't it?" she said. Valefar couldn't help but get mad at this. What was she saying? She was hardly a mother to him at all! Pulling away from his mother, Valefar stared at the floor, "I'm hungry, father let's go eat. I think the girls need some alone time." he muttered and walked out of there without another word. Cresil was surprised by this but quickly excused himself before walking out after Valefar.

Vixen frowned some as she watched Valefar and sighed knowing what he was upset about right away. She knew he still wasn't sure about his parents... he wasn't used to the attention his mother had been giving him since they had gotten there and probably still thought that Eofe had been more of a mother then his own mother could ever be. (do you want me to be Cresil asking Valefar about that?) |

Valefar walked in silence with his father to the cafeteria. to get some food. How am I being distant? Is it bad that I stay quiet? Am I supposed to talk to her at all times? he thought to himself. The more he thought about it, the more confused he became. ((Can you? I actually have to go really quick but I'll reply when I get back.)) |
Cresil sighed after a few long minutes of silence and frowned. "What's wrong Valefar? You're daughter and Vixen are alive and well, no one's arguing... I thought this is what you wanted?" he asked since he knew that Valefar had just wanted everyone to get along and as of right now no one was arguing or anything.

"Huh?" he started and looked at his father before entering the cafeteria and grabbing some food then sat down to eat. "Yes, I know that Vixen and the baby are alive, and that's good...it makes me very happy." he answered and narrowed his eyes. "Why is everyone suddenly worried about me? I mean, why is everyone asking me if I'm okay...I'm fine." he muttered and began to eat quietly.

"Because, this is a big change, you're a father now Valefar. I know I wasn't, and am not the best role modle, you should do better then I did and have done., especially since your daughter is blind." Cresil said softly as he sat down with Valefar. We all worried about Vixen and the baby yesterday, finding out that there was something wrong and having to watch Vixen struggle for her life... that inclines us to worry about you." he explained carefully so Valefar would understand.

Valefar stopped eating and sighed, suddenly not feeling hungry. "I don't need anyone to worry about me. No one ever did before so I don't need it now." he answered and looked over at his father. "I never had a role model..and I never will. I don't know what I should do. How am I supposed to act?" he asked and frowned. "I can't be a good father, especially since I never exactly had one. You're still my father, and my mother is still my mother...although Eofe was more of a mother to me. No matter what you're both my parents and no, I don't want anything bad to happen to either of you, but I still am upset and probably always will be because you both never really were there for me." he answered and shrugged.

Cresil frowned deeply but listened to Valefar before sighing and nodding knowing he was telling the truth. "Don't do to your daughter what I did to you. You have time to raise her and love her and give her all of the attention she could ever need or want. When I was growing up it's true I wasn't eh most laid back guy, my father died before I got married, I couldn't have given you the attention you would have liked because I was and am too busy, that's why you had Eofe in the first place. I'm not dead, you have time to spend with your daughter before you have to become king or even worry about it." he explained and knew he had never told Valefar this before but figured it would help him now.

"Give her attention and love her...yes I know that much. I...I'm just nervous." he admitted and sighed sadly. "I get nervous just holding her in my arms..." he explained and rubbed the sides of his head. "I'm happy though, Vixen really loves her....holds her all the time." he said softly and nodded. "I know you're busy father, that's why I don't bother you anymore, I don't bother anyone anymore because I know everyone is busy, they always have been so I don't expect any difference." he explained and smirked.

"Don't be afraid or nervous... I was when you were born and look how that turned out." Cresil sighed and shook his head some. "I can tell Vixen loves her, it's clear in her eyes, even before she was that far along. I don't know if she ever told you this, but after you two told us that she was pregnant I spoke to her, I told her that I didn't understand why she would do this and she told me it was because she loved you. But I could tell that wasn't all, she already loved Mela, she was willing to give her life just so her baby could live and I could tell that. I still may be iffy and not exactly happy about Vixen... but I have to admit that you have one strong brave woman in her." he said then smirked and shook his head at the end.

Valefar looked at his father slightly confused but let it go and nodded. Because she loves me.... he thought to himself. "Yeah, Vixen is very strong and brave." he agreed quietly. Valefar didn't want to talk of Vixen, the baby...or anything related to that so decided to change the subject. "How is Charlie? Is he behaving and eating properly?" he asked suddenly as he poked at his food before eating it again.

Cresil was a bit surprised when he changed the subject and nodded. "He's doing fine, Setta's been making sure he acts right as usual... though I think they're both worried since Setta asked a few times what was going on." he said softly as he finished his food.

"Then maybe you should tell them both what's going on." answered Valefar before finishing his food. "I think they should know, make them stop worrying." he added quietly. "I'm happy to hear that Charlie and Setta are doing fine. I take it Charlie still doesn't like talking much?" he guessed and smiled.

"Well we've tried explaining it to them but it's rather hard... and you've only been gone one day Valefar of course nothing major has changed... well Setta did say something about getting a letter from Sinz and Souls... something about them thinking that they found Mela's guardian or something?" Cresil thought some but that sounded about right. "Anyway, she seemed really happy and said that they would be back within the next week or so." he informed before looking down at his empty plate.

Listening, Valefar blinked and looked at their empty plates. "They found her guardian?" he repeated and smiled. "I'm sure Vixen will be happy to know that." he commented and smirked. "Should we go back to the room?" he asked. "I don't want to go back since I think that they'll be talking about things relating to being mothers and that sounds boring." he explained.

"Up to you, there's not much to do here it seems... and the doctors might be ready to release Vixen." Cresil said softly as he stood and took his tray and dumped it before turning back to valefar wondering what he wanted to do.

Valefar stood and dumped what was on his tray, before placing it on the rack and sitting back down. "I hope they release her soon, I miss sleeping in my own bed." he said quietly and sighed. "There's never anything to do in a hospital Father. All you do here is lay in bed and do nothing." he replied and chuckled. "They like to test your patience." he added.

"Well you should know I don't like having my patience tested, why don't we go see if they'll be releasing her soon? Unless you had something more you needed to talk to me about?" Cresil asked softly and rather boredly.

"You seem rather bored and I don't want to bore you any further." he started before standing. "Let's go see how the girls are doing." he said quietly before walking with his father back to Vixen's room. When they got there, he opened the door and peaked inside the room before stepping inside.

"Oh there you are! The doctors need you to sign the birth certificate." Vixen smiled easily but neither of the three women were holding Mela... yet Vixen didn't seem worried at all.

Valefar raised an eyebrow and looked at Vixen. "I take it I took too long to eat?" he said and walked over to sign the birth certificate in silence. "There, all signed." he said and turned to look at Vixen. "Where is she? Where's Mela?" he asked seriously.

"Don't worry they just took her for one more check up before we leave. They need to get her blood type and eye color so it shouldn't take long." Vixen smiled before opening her arms showing that she wanted a hug from her lover still smiling seeming to be feeling allot better then before.

"Ohh, well alright then." he answered and raised an eyebrow at what she was doing before hesitantly walking over to her and hugging her gently. "Are....are you okay Vixen?" he asked curiously. Before we leave? he thought to himself. So they let her come home already? he thought to himself.

"yeah I'm actually doing allot better, I don't feel light headed or anything, they're going to be sending some medicine home with us though that will help with that until my body gains back the muscle it had lost while being pregnant." she smiled softly just hugging him lovingly.

"Oh I see, well that's good then." he said as he let her hug him. Valefar looked at everyone in the room, slightly confused but didn't bother saying or doing anything. Once he got home he was definitely going to go to his room and sleep...or practice his Violin.
