Mela nodded before she tried to get so sleep but found it very hard and strenues. The next morning came too quickly and Mela hadn't gotten a seconds worth of sleep. She started to get scared and cry a bit as she heard that they hadn't gotten word from Valefar on a trade and heard them debating what they were going to do with Mela... they were considering selling her in pieces on the black market since no one wanted a blind slave.

"Well if you want her cut up....I'll do it." Nero commented seriously. "I'll just need to do it away from here so that I don't leave any evidence." he explained and waited for an answer. If they allowed him to do this, both he and Mela were home free. He knew that he was probably going to get yelled at and probably killed when he took her home safely. It was a risk he was more than happy to take though.

The leader paused and looked at Nero for a long moment before looking at the other man and chatting him for a moment. Everyone always complained about this part of the job, but here this boy was wanting to do it. "Okay then, just make sure to bring back to collar and handcuffs and give the pieces in a cooler to Main." he said before walking into the room and unchaining the collar then hooking Mela's arms behind her back with a pair of hand cuffs before forcing her up and pushing her towards Nero. She looked scared and unsure... the scared part because she didn't like the guys really.

"Will do!" he said and grabbed the collar's chain and then grabbed a butchering knife before pulling Mela along and out of there. "Now you will behave. We're going on a little trip..." he stated and yanked her along until they were out of sight from the others. "Okay Mela relax, we're going on a trip alright...we're going home." he whispered and grinned before looking around and sighing softly. "Come along." he said and began to lead her away from there. "It's going to be a long walk...but we'll get there safely." he promised and continued to tag her along by holding onto the collar's chain.

Mela almost felt like laughing as she saw Nero with the knife and did snicker a bit once they were out of hearing rang. "You look like a mad man with that knife and all of your peircings." she said with a slight giggle. She wished that her hands were unchained so she could hold his hand instead of him holding onto the chain on the collar around her neck. "You're not going back are you? They'll kill you when they find out I'm not dead you know." she said worriedly and knew once they were in the castle they would be safe but not until then.

"Oh shush, you're baking me blush!" he teased and stared at the knife before shrugging and continuing to walk. "Maybe now people will back off." he added and looked at her with his grey eyes and shook his head. "Nope, I'm not going back at all. I am going to stay right by your side Mela and do my best to keep you safe." he answered and coughed slightly before yawning and looking around. "Did you get any sleep last night? I sure didn't." he stated and looked at her and grabbed the key from his pocket and stopped walking before looking around cautiously. When he saw that no one could see them, he began to unlock the handcuffs and collar with trembling hands.

"Just like a few seconds... it's really had to sleep like that ya know?" Mela said then smiled and took the knife out of his hand and placed it safely on the ground before wrapping her arms around him in a warm hug. "Okay now we can go." she smiled before picking the knife back up and handing it to him before offering him her hand wanting to hold his free hand and just stay close to him.

"We can get some sleep when we get home then." he said and dropped the handcuffs, collar, and key to the ground. Taking back the knife, he happily took back the knife and ran for it with her. "Come on." he said and continued to run as fast as he could laughing happily like someone who just escaped a prison or an asylum. "We'll be home soon!" he said and looked back at her with a grin on his face.

"Nero you're just as crazy as ever." Mela laughed as she held his hand and ran with him depending on him to guild her back home since she could barely tell where they were.

Nero laughed and ran down the broken pavement before making a sharp turn and running through some dirt and broken pieces of cobblestone. "Be careful Mela!" he warned and continued running. "Okay now jump!" he said as he jumped over a dead tree and continued running. Looking around, he made another turn and then ran across the street, holding her hand tightly in his.

Mela was shocked at all of this but easily fallowed Nero trusting that he knew where he was going and how to get her back home... but she didn't remember any broken pavement being close to home...

"I always take long ways to your house, I don't know why I just do." he commented and after a while more of running, he made another turn and he saw her house far off in the distance. "Almost there Mela!" he informed and coughed again slightly while running. It wasn't too long before they reached her house and he quickly opened the door and walked inside with Mela. "We're home Mela." he said breathlessly. He was tired, his legs felt tingly but numb and he knew he needed to test soon.

"Nero? Are you okay?" Mela asked worriedly as she heard him coughing and then looked around before hearing Vixen running down the stairs and hugged them both. "Oh Mela! We were so worried about you! And where have you been Nero? We were scared you had gotten hurt or something." Vixen asked knowing that Valefar wouldn't be too far behind her.

"PRINCESS!" called Valefar as he ran down the stair and hugged Mela tightly. "Oh little Mela! I was scared that I had lost you for good this time. I'm so glad that you're okay though." he said and kissed her cheek before turning to Nero and hugging him tightly. "Where did you run off to Nero?" he asked and sighed. "I'm not mad so don't be scared." Valefar assured. Nero frowned and looked at the knife in his hand before looking at Valefar and Vixen. "I left to visit some friends for a few weeks...but weeks ended up being years, and when I returned the war had broken out and I was given the job of guarding prisoners...one of them was Mela. They had sent a note your way asking for money but it never got here...so they wanted to kill Mela, so I offered to do it." he explained and raised the knife before lowering it again. "Of course I didn't kill her though. I convinced them to let me kill her somewhere else and then when I saw the chance, I removed the collar and handcuffs from her and we ran for it back here." he explained and couched slightly.

"Well thank you Nero, I'm going to go get some maids to draw you both nice warm baths and get one of the healers to listen to you and see what that cough is all about." Vixen smiled before giving them both on more head, being careful of the knife then headed off to go and do as she said she would. "Why are you still carrying the knife Nero? Oh and you never answered me as to if you were okay." Mela pouted some worriedly.

"Huh?" Nero started and coughed again before sighing. "Oh...yeah I'm fine Mela. As for the knife...well I really don't know...should I throw it away?" he asked. Valefar took the knife and admired it. "That cough doesn't seem fine Nero, and this knife stays...I'm sure the maids will make good use of it." he said and ordered the knife to be washed and put away. "Now then, both of you go and get ready for your baths...upstairs let's go." ordered Valefar. Nero nodded and didn't let got of Mela's hand as he walked upstairs with Valefar following close behind.

Mela nodded some in agreement before walking with Nero upstairs then smiled and gave him a soft hug before heading to her room and getting ready for her bath before getting into the warm bath that had been prepared in her bathroom.
(sorry wasn't sure if you wanted me to be Nero or not, but I will be the maid when she comes in if you like but I don't know what's wrong with him XD ) |
Nero hugged her back and went into his room before staring at himself in the mirror. Yes he was dirty, had dirt smeared onto his face and all over his clothes. Seeing that, Nero couched again and sighed. He wanted to bathe but didn't know if he should wait for the maid. Deciding to wait for her...he just stood there and stared at himself before slowly removing every piercing and began to disinfect and clean them carefully. "I'll put them back on after my bath." he told himself. He looked very different without his various piercings on.
(We can make the cough a mild case of a regular sickness...idk. Nothing grave though. Sure you can be the maid.) |
The healer came in right as Nero was taking the last piercing out and checked his temperature and looked in his throat and such but said it was only a cold and that he needed rest but that was all before leaving to check up on Mela once she got out of the bath and had gotten into some comfy clothing and was about to go eat.

"Oh, okay then thank-you. I really appreciate it." he said and smiled before bowing in thanks. Once the maid was gone, he sighed and stepped into his prepared bath after removing his dirty clothes and sighed. "Safe at last...." he whispered to himself as he bathed peacefully. A few minutes later he drained the water and walked out with a towel as he dried off and got dressed and wondered what everyone would think if they saw him without his piercings.

Mela smiled some as she headed downstairs to eat and seemed quite hungry as she at two helpings of seconds before she was full. Her and Vixen chatted about how Nero was back and how happy Mela was that he was back... she didn't like it when he wasn't there with her at all.

Nero decided to let them soak in the disinfectant and headed down the stairs quietly before entering the dining room and began to eat silently. The food was delicious of course, but he never liked to ask for more, his mother always told him it was rood and called him a pig if he ate more than he was given.

"Wow... it's been awhile since I've seen you without all of your piercings." Mela smiled since she was sitting next to him she could see him clearly and that made her happy since she couldn't hardly see at all.

"I feel so exposed without them on." he started and smiled when Mela sat beside him. "So, the maid said I just needed to rest...so that's what I plan on doing. You know, before I ever left..." he started and took another bite of his food and swallowed, "I wanted to get another piercing and I know what you're thinking...don't I have enough already? The answer, well yes I probably do. Although I really want a bridge piercing...I know that one is going to hurt, but it will look so cool. Speaking of looking...can you see me better now?" he asked her curiously.

"Are you sure? That's gonna really hurt." Mela said softly then smiled and nodded. "Yeah I can see you now... I could see you when you hugged me before too." she smiled softly before hugging him then going back to eating happily as she was finishing her food. "Are you sure you don't want seconds? The cooks made a TUNE of food." she laughed a little.
