I lowered my head, kind of feeling bad for Yuffie. I kept to myself and tried to keep my eyes facing forward as not to make eye contact with the hungry males (and females). I furrowed a brow and looked up at him. "So everyones going in heat then? Oh man am I in trouble... does that mean you will too?" I said, with a deep sigh. "Im gonna be a scared kitty hiding under your bed" I giggled as we approached his door.

Nate rubbed his eyes with two fingers and sighed, unzipping his coat and leaning the seat back. "I just hope shes alright...and he didnt violate her."

He turned to her, trying to understand if she was joking or not. When she giggled he let out a small "Heh..." and opened the door for her. "I'll try and keep my distance..." He finally said, going in after her. "You know, to try and give you as much privacy as you need until you can have an apartment to yourself."
Inside it was a decent sized two bedroom apartment, however only one of the bedrooms held a bed. It had one bath, an unused kitchen, and a small living room. The windows were draped but slid open to allow in as much light as possible while small lamps lingered here and there. The apartment must have come already furnished because the furniture that was in there didn't look as if a guy picked it out. "You can take the room with a bed." he said taking her things to the room. "I will get a new one this weekend. As for food and things... there isn't much to eat, but I can go to the store and pick some stuff up for you. Towels are in the bathroom closet and toilet paper is under the sink." he paused for a moment, not really knowing what to say after that except, "I guess make yourself at home, I'm sorry I don't have a Television... I have to go and discuss some things with Emily." he muttered scratching the back of his head.

"Would it really matter if he did? You'd still go in and get her... I think you'd be more concerned about if he turned her or not..." She said leaning back in her chair.

I looked up at him. "Will everyone will have a mate? Wont you?" I asked him, kind of feeling bad for crashing his party. "Are all the werewolves, uh, wolves when they're in heat, or human form?"
I looked around the inside of the apartment; it was super cute and cozy, I smiled looking around. "Its great in here. And please, if I take your bed where will you sleep? That couch cant be comfortable." I said to him, putting my bag on the couch and crossing my arms.
"You know. I do plan to pay you somehow for taking me in... you don't know how much I appreciate your kindness..." I said, closing my eyes halfway and looking down at the floor.


Nates eyes widened, jerking his head swiftly to look at Ebony. "He can turn her into a werewolf?" He said, growling under his breath.

His head shook with a little sigh. "Omega's don't really get first call when it comes to mating. I am actually surprised Yuffie is still acting the way she is. Given my months gone you would've thought she would've moved on...." He chuckled a little at how sad the notion was. "The change... no... The moon, for whatever reason brings out this... hunger. The closer to the change we get the more hungry we get for certain things. We yearn for it, but hardly ever sate it. However, when we meet our," He thought for a second," 'soul mate' I suppose it is a good term, we can at least get rid of these hungers. Like I said before: we only mate with a were once because it creates such a powerful bond. And even though it is such an inhuman bond it makes us feel... human." He trailed off before looking up at her again, "Long story short, just don't let them touch you or mark you as theirs. It can mess up your head. Anyways, I am sure about the couch. I slept as a dog in a cage, remember? A nice carpeted floor will suit me just fine until I get another bed. As for the repaying me thing, you already are... Make sure to lock the door when I leave." He said as he turned and closed the door behind him.

"You must've known this. It's an illness... a contagious one at that. One with no cure..." She said glancing over at him with a grin on her face. "Just like a vampire's kiss." She turned back to face the apartment complex, staying out of the sun's grasp.

"Maybe Yuffie was holding out for you..." I said, looking at the kitting on his sweater. "I dont want you to sleep on the floor. You can sleep in the bed with me. I wont mind." I said, blushing a bit. I cocked my head to the side as he said I was already repaying him, and I didn't quite understand as I watched him leave. I wanted to hug him... hold him close to me, but I almost felt like that would be wrong. Hes done so much for me... I wish I could do something for him. I smiled and looked around his place for cleaning supplies and a vacuum and started cleaning, top to bottom. I'm sure he'd be thrilled!

Yuffie met Kale in the hallway, she grabbed his forearm. "Kale. Can I ask you something please?" She said, looking down. "What... what does she have that I dont?" She begged, eyes teary looking up at him.

He stared at her. "You mean if I were to kiss a vampire, i'd become one? Is it the same with werewolves??" He asked quite concerned.

He walked down the hallway feeling the familiar grasp of Yuffie on his arm. He looked down at her teary eyed self, before looking forward again. "Nothing... in fact she has less than you do seeing as though your a wolf. From a logical point, you'd be the better choice in a mate." He didn't give any explanation further than that, as he continued to walk through the hallways still feeling her on his arm. "I am not looking for a mate, though..." He said quietly.

"I'm sure you've seen some horror films in your lifetime, Nate." She said as if bored, "The whole biting the neck thing... Where do you think they get that crap from? It's alright though... we put down the vampire that gave away that secret a long time ago..."

"Youre not looking for a mate? Then why did you bring her here if she isnt going to be your mate??" She said, letting go of him and she stopped walking.
"I will hold out for you. As I always have until I sexually matured, like when you said you'd maybe consider when I was older. This is my first mating season. I only want one mate, and I'm looking right at him."

Nate thought for a moment and relaxed in his seat. "You said a kiss. So is it neck biting or a kiss?" He said, staring off through the windshield.

He kept walking, "Then you are going to be waiting a very long time." He said over his shoulder. Again he gave no explanation to her or answered her questions. He opened the door to Emily's Den and looked to Dameon who stood in a corner.
"I'm surprised you came back..." She said, without looking up at him. "If I remember correctly, when I sent you out... I told you to report to Belle and Pixie..."
"...You sent me on an errand..."
"Which I am taking, you are too good for?"
"I'm just as strong as any other pack member."
"Strength is not all you can rely on! You have no sense of Responsibility!"
"Oh but~..."
"Shut up!" She stood up from her seat and walked over towards him, pinning him with the collar of his shirt. "I was an omega... just like you... Naive and hot-headed. I worked for my place in the pack."
"This isn't about me earning my right... It's because I killed the only man you gave two shits about before you EVER found this, scum lingering in a gutter somewhere."
She stood there fore the longest time, several emotions crossing her face. Her jaw worked as she clenched and unclenched her fist. Dameon's hand touched her shoulder and without so much as a word she released him and took a step back.
"I proved my strength beating him in battle... I could've been great beside you... Hell, I could've been a better leader than you and you still would've been my top choice for a mate.... But you have made us weak with your softness for humans."
"This coming from someone who brought a human here?" she growled. "Check yourself, Wolf."
"I have. I know what I am going to do... I just hope you are prepared for it." He growled before turning away.
"Oh and the reason I came here, Ebony was at the Cage... she was the one orchestrating it the entire time. But the place was burnt down... by none other than the lovely hunters... Go figure. There's another one you let slip through your fingers..." He said before leaving.

"Bites are considered kisses... but you should know there are all sorts of kisses even in the human world. Kisses filled with hate... lust... love... hunger... fear."she said quietly, "The end result is still the same when dealing with the supernatural though. You end up with an illness."

Yuffie sulked back to her room as he left her there. Shed figure something out.

After cleaning, I got in the shower. I couldn't wait to get warm and clean. By now it was about 5 in the evening and the sun has started to go down. His apartment was now clean and I was proud. I didnt know how long he was going to be out. I left the bathroom door open about 8 inches in case anyone came knocking or if he needed to use the restroom.

Nate closed his eyes and took it all in. He would save her... no matter what, from a fate probably worse than death.

As the last rays of daylight sunk below the horizon, Kale came back with groceries. He knocked on the front door for her to open it, assuming she locked it in the first place.

"Once the sun dips below the horizon we will move. Alert the hunters. Tonight I will have what I have wanted for a long time." a wicked grin contorted her face, from something beautiful to something full of malice.

I rushed out of the bathroom in a towel; I was in the middle of blow drying my hair and I peeked out a crack of the door. I smiled seeing it was Kale and I opened the door. "I was wondering where you went" I said, smiling at him. My hair was half up, half down and the towel was wrapped and tucked tightly around my breast; it ended very high on my thigh.
"I hope you don't mind I took a shower." I said to him, my skin still shiny wet from the shower. "How was your meeting with Emily?" I asked him, still brushing my hair, the one side that was down and somewhat dry.

Nate nodded and flipped open a cell phone that one of her men provided her and sent a mas text out to alert the group. He then flipped it shut and sighed, pulling the knife from its sheath around his waist.
"I'm coming for you..."

When she opened the door, the smell of soap was the first thing that hit him and then the heat. His gaze traveled down and then back up, making him suck in his breath. Heat rose to his cheeks before he glanced up at her eyes, trying to remember what she had said. "Yeah..." Was all he managed to get out at first, catching himself glancing back down before shaking his head and correcting himself. "Yeah. That's fine. I told you to make yourself at home. I...uhhh... went and got some food for you, I don't really know what... you like to eat so... I got different things..." He said holding up several bags full of candy, chips, milk, juice, celery, apples, bread, cheese and meat.... a lot of meat. "Meeting was fine... no different then what I expected... excuse me I need a shower..." he said setting down the groceries in front of the door before going into the bathroom, stripped and turned the water to the coldest setting. Antartic degrees.

She was the first to exit the car as she moved slowly towards the apartment complex. Several of the hunters following her while more went behind the apartments to grab some of the pack members that weren't expecting to be hit.

His face grew flush and I grew concerned. The scars on my neck completely visible. "Are you okay?" I said and I looked down at the bags of random food and then back to him. He then ran past me into the bathroom. I wondered if I had done something wrong and sighed, going into the bedroom to quickly dress into a white tank top and pj bottoms that has paw prints pattern all over. I felt so cozy, I didnt put my bra on, It was drying on the towel rack in the bathroom; had to wash it sometime. Last time I left my bra in the bathroom, Nate had stolen it, the creep. I brushed my hair and let it fall, being down and went into the living room to put the groceries away.
"Chocolate... chips... a box of cocoa, fruits and veggies." I Giggled. "I wonder if he likes any of this stuff." Then the whole other bag was filled with meats, all raw. I put all that had to be refrigerated in the fridge and boiled a pot of water for hot cocoa. I sat on his couch, worried he was mad.

Nate practically leaped out of the vehicle and punched a lunging male in the jaw; he fell to the ground but quickly got back up. Nate hissed as he heard the bone cracking and he turned around to see the wolf lunging towards him. A quick motion and the wolf was down as Nate covered his face; Jerry had saved the day. Cigarette at the side of his mouth he looked at Nate and smiled a half smile. "C'mon kid, dont be so easy on them. We need to save your princess."

He came back out, shivering but any urges he might have had were gone. He scrubbed his hair dry and walked through the hall to his closet grabbing a few clothes and slipping into them. He chose a t-shirt that was black and a bit fitted with a tribal-esque wolf printed on the back. He wore jeans that looked as if they had been through the mill a couple of times and (shocker) no shoes or socks. He slowly came out into the living room and looked to her. "You okay Soph...?" he asked quietly.

The woman walked through the apartment complex, and without emotion or hesitation killed any wolf that approached her. She turned to find a shifted wolf howling to alert the others. With a flick of her wrist she grabbed a small vial and opened it. She had the ability to manipulate the red liquid inside and morph it. The iron from formed it into a knife and slit the wolf's throat silencing it. It shifted back into a liquid form before returning to her. She continued to walk and finally entered the building. "Nate... Take Jerry and go find your girl. I have other matters to attend." She expected the others to search and destroy.

Kale fell silent and looked up from her. "It can't be... Stay here... it's probably a few hunters or something. Shouldn't take long to get rid of them..." He said starting to move towards the door.

I looked up at him and blushed; oh man did he look- oy! I almost admitted it. I shook my head. "I'm fine, I'm more worried about you. And about things, thats all. There's some hot water on the stove for come cocoa for us" I said, smiling sweetly at him.

Nate followed close to Jerry who was the size of a gorilla and plowed through wolves and defending humans. Nate kept his blade drawn but used his fists. Jerry went to an apartment door where he heard some commotion. He broke down the door and saw some action between about 6 wolves. He grinned, grabbing a grenade from his belt, biting the clip, throwing it inside and slamming the door. A few seconds later, the door blew out and smoke filled the hallway. He laughed. "FRIED WOLF, MY FAVORITE!!!" He yelled, pulling out a pistol and gunning one done went to attack Ebony from behind. Nate kept his eyes opened, the smoke burned his eyes. He pulled down his goggles they equipped him with at the vampire hideout and looked around, keeping close to Jerry.

I stared at Kale then the door, sitting up. "Please be safe, Kale.." I said to him, pulling my legs under me to sit on them.

Emily reacted as soon as she heard the alert. She ran out with Dameon close on her tail. "Gather your men and find Belle and Pixie and keep them safe."
Dameon turned to her with a softened look. "What about you...?" He asked. He refused to move until she gave him a response.
"I'll be fine... please."
He stared at her for the longest time before giving her a long kiss. He almost refused to pull away before turning and leaving her to run off and join several of his men. He started barking orders before spotting two men conversing amongst themselves. When one of them drew a gun, Dameon pulled his out, and just like that fired off two rounds striking both their targets. "ANYONE ELSE?! DIDN'T THINK SO...." He said his controlled fury surfacing just a little.

Kale saw the commotion outside, several of the hunters had moved into the hallways as explosions went off in the distance. He hesitated, thinking about staying there and protecting her, but this was his time to shine. He bolted off before running into one of them. Several shots were fired, each one missing him before he grabbed the man's neck and snapped it. He continued to run through the hallways running into two more men before stopping and seeing Dameon. He was quiet as the Hunter held up a gun to Kale. That was the moment he had been waiting for, before Dameon fired off a shot that missed Kale and killed the man behind him.
"Go back to your girl. We have it."
"This is my mome-..."
"That girl needs you more than your pride. Protect her."
Kale stared at him for the longest time before nodding and heading back to the room.

"WHAT A PARTY!!!" Jerry yelled as he sauntered down the hallway, firing guns here and there. Nate was faced with the fangs of a wolf and he closed his eyes and flew his arm out, slicing the wolfs neck and it fell to the floor. "God, Sohpie would kill me if she saw me killing animals..." Jerry elbowed him. "Shes an animal lover huh? Well, take some thought into these ain't no animals- they're heartless monsters out to kill anyone; women, children, other real animals. They have no thought process whatsoever, but to kill." Nate frowned and thought about this and looked about. He thought back to the conversation Kale had had with him back in the apartment about protecting her and the like. He seemed pretty put together then. He sighed and out of the corner of his eye saw Kale snap one of his mens necks. Nates eyes widened and his body grew stiff, his heart rate sky rocketed and he sprinted towards him.
"NATE! WHERE YAH GOING KID!?"
"To exact revenge!" he said with a lust for blood seeped in his eyes. Kales back was turned, heading down the hallway, all seemed silent as Nate lunged at him, blade out forward, all reasoning gone from his mind and only one thought remained; revenge.

Kale didn't have to hear Nate... only smell the fresh blood on him. Within a half a breath he whirled around and pinned Nate to the wall. His face slackened from shock, he had expected a vampire or a hunter... but Nate. "What the hell are you doing here?!" He asked before his eyes widened. He let Nate go and backed away. "Why are you here...?" His voice deepened... darkened into a low threatening growl. He moved around him very slowly keeping his eyes on him at all times.

The breath was knocked clean out of him as he was slammed into the wall; his eyes widened as he weapon fell to the floor, clanging against the linoleum floor covered in blood smears. Kales strength was insane, Nate scratched at his arms and swiped at his face which was too far. He was flailing like a rabid dog trying to kill the dog catcher.
"Wheres Sophie? Where is she you monster!" was all the words he could muster up.
Jerry started running down the hall towards them, a few wolves on his tail. "NATE?! YOU OK KID? YOU DAMN FOOL!"

Kale turned to look at Jerry before turning back to Nate. "She's with us now... She's happy. Unlike when she was with you trying to fend for herself. I gave her what she needed. You're not going to mess that up." He said kicking the blade away from him. He bolted towards their hallway before thinking better of it, and running down a flight of stairs towards another hoping Nate would follow him in hopes of finding Sophie only to leave her safe in their room.

"You changed her? YOU CHANGED HER DIDN'T YOU!" His vision was clouded with rage; all he could see is Kale and a smug expression that he had won her. He then released him, he panted and crouched to get his blade. The pitter patter of Kales bare feet running down the hall was all he needed to muster the strength to go after him. Jerry knelt beside him. "Hey kid, you could have gotten yourself killed. Do go at him alone. Were here for Sophie, not him."
He didn't hear him. He put the wolf blood covered blade between his teeth and took off after him, sliding into the door that led to the stairs.
"YOU CANT ESCAPE ME WOLF! I HAVE BEEN PLANNING THIS FOR DAYS! I WILL FIND HER!" He said, running down the steps after him, practically falling down the steps.
Jerry tched, spitting out some blood as he watched him run off.
"Stupid kid."

Kale waited at the base of the stairs, satisfied when he heard the stomping feet of Nate. He was foolish... so foolish. Turning her...? Where did he get that stupid idea. When Kale had left he promised to protect her... not turn her into some beast.
"I'll ask you again Nate... why are you here?" he said standing beside the emergency staircase light switch. "How did you find out what I was for that matter?"

Nate stomped down the steps and took the blade from his teeth and dragged it against the metal railing as he decended. "I'm here for Sophie" he said calmly. He then screamed "TELL ME WHERE SHE IS" he said, his voice echoing throughout the staircase. He jumped the railing and landed on the bottom, online knee and lord up at Kale with crazy eyes. "Lead me to her and I may spare your life..." He said, looking to the blade in his hand. "What have you done to her..."

Kale raised his eyebrows before laughing as the boy jumped down in front of him, brandishing that knife as if he were a pro with it. "Nate... She's in the room. I haven't touched her..." He glared at the young man, "You act as if she is in an hell hole... when we are giving her a room without rent... Food without stipulations. Far more than you ever did." He said moving away from the lightswitch and towards Nate. "Now you come in here with Hunters and..." He sniffed the air around Nate, "A vampire?... Demanding her back... I don't think so..."

Nate stared at him, keeping his blade drawn. "I don't believe you. I will if I see her with my own eyes." He said through gritted teeth. He kept his eyes locked on him as he moved. "Yes, vampires. Ebony, to be exact. She told me with the werewolves did to her family... and that you all have the power to change humans into werewolves. I wont let you do that to Sophie. I love her." He paused. "WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HER, WOLF!" He screamed out at him, staying in one place.
