Adaza just let his hand fall to his side, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. She would eventually find out anyways, though he didn't want to open up his past, he knew it was best if he was the one that told her. "Because of my mother." He simply said. He opened his eyes and looked at her. "I told you that my mother hates me with every ounce she has. Well so did her family, Sehpeal's side." He turned to look at the books once more. "I guess it runs in my family." He said with a weak smirk. He took out a another leather book and flipped through it, there was allot to the story. "After my father died, my mother was even more cold towards me. Her father forgave her and took her back but they wanted no trace of my existence. I remember her taking me into the forest, so deep my feet ached from the walk." He took a deep breath, even to this day it still hurt him. "I remember her having me sit down on a log. She turned to me and pludged this knife into my chest. Told me to just die, that I was so worthless and she should have never bore me." He just looked at the floor and took a deep breath, he smiled to stop from crying. "She left me there to die and as you can see, I didn't. I guess they want to remedy that." He said the last part softly before placing back the book. He didn't want to look her after telling her more of his past.

Kiyan listened and frowned as she heard his story and crossed her arms looking down a bit. "i'm sorry... you're mother and her family sound horrible... why didn't you just leave the kingdom though? especially when you got married..." she asked curiously feeling like his story just caused more questions then answers... he never told her why his family hated him... she wasn't even sure if he told her about his mother, he had told her that his family hated his wife for some reason but she still wasn't sure why

Faded Beauty 06-13-2015 09:16 PM

He shook his head. "I couldn't even if I wanted to." He took out another book and thumb through it. "I had no money, no way to survive. As it was I was near death from the wound in my chest." He looked at her weakly. "My only two choices were death or militia. Both are inescapable; death takes you then or you die serving the Kingdom. Its that simple." He told her before looking back at the book. "My wife was from a highly respected family, leaving would have dishonored them. After everything they did for me, I refused to dishonor them in any way." He stop on a page and read a little bit of it. It wasn't what he wanted but it was interesting at the least.

"I see... it sounds like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place" Kiyan said quietly before looking over as she heard the doors open again and saw her brother with a medical kit still seeming excited "Kayo it's creepy that you're excited about taking blood from someone I hope you know that" she pointed out before glancing at Adaza wondering if he was really as interested as her brother... it seemed rather hard to believe since her brother was just kinda weird like that

Faded Beauty 06-13-2015 10:42 PM

"Not so such as you think." He had bad times like everyone else but he worked hard for his life. He turned to see Kayo walk in, the smile never left his face. "Oh but sister, we're in uncharted territory here. How can you not be excited?" He claimed still excited as ever. He set his bag on the table near the microscope and dug around in it, pulling everything he needed at the time. Adaza just went to her brother. Setting the book face down, Adaza started to roll up his left sleeve while Kayo prepare his needles. Once Kayo had a sample of blood he began his work, bouncing around as he did.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-13-2015 11:10 PM

"I didn't study to be a doctor like you did Kayo, the only reason I even know healing arts is because it's our family trade." Kiyan reminded but was unsure if Adaza knew that. Kiyan never took too much of an interest in healing nor did she really care for the other jobs for women in her clan, she wasn't the best at cooking, hated cleaning and didn't really care either way about sewing. In all honesty when she was a kid even fighting was just a hobby, a way to be close to her brother and a way to get the other kids to leave her alone, she had never planned on it being her carrier until the war started hitting close to home.

Faded Beauty 06-13-2015 11:35 PM

Kayo just nodded, "Yeah you were always more into fighting." He told her as he looked into a slide, he placed it into the microscope and scribbled things onto a paper. "Nothing looks different." He said sadly. "I could have told you that." Adaza said flipping the book around and showing him. Kayo's eyes wide. "How did I miss that." He stated before running to his notes. Adaza just watched his friend go back and forward in a crazed motion.

Adaza just looked at Kiyan and a evil smirk appeared onto his face, he just now remembered he told her he would train her. Plus he now had a reason to train harder. "What are you doing in here anyways Kiyan, don't you have training to do?" He stated more as a comment then a question.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 12:19 AM

Kiyan was surprised at the sudden change in her brother and looked at Adaza curiously. "What did you do to make him so hyper?" she asked curiously then was quite a bit more surprised. "well i don't know about you but my energy is still quite low, besides you said I needed to train in secret and I hadn't quite figured out how to do that yet." she explained but then paused as she thought of the occupation she had originally wanted and how that could be a way to hide her training but still wasn't sure

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 12:35 AM

Adaza just ignored her question, Kayo for one was too excited to really hear the conversation. He leaned in closely to the book, reading and talking to himself quietly as Adaza stepped closer to his sister. "All the better to train now." He simply said to her. He grabbed her wrist, hard but not to injure her before pulling Kiyan behind him. He left the library with her in tow. Passed through several hallways and room before stopping at a dragon statue. He let go of her wrist and placed both his hands on the side of its head. Tracing the stone dragon behind the ears with his fingertips, Adaza pressed two switches opening up a hidden passage. "Follow." He simply told her before entering the pit black hallway. After a few minutes of walking, he opened a door to a large room. It was his hidden training room. He lit the room to reveal it, dark wooden floors and weapon racks lining a wall.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 12:43 AM

Kiyan was shocked at this but fallowed quietly watched Adaza then looked around the room in awe before her eyes landed on the weapons. She only wished she had some of her own weapons but knew it wouldn't make any difference since she wasn't even allowed to train in the open. "Very nice." she said quietly as she looked around once more to note the details of the room

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 12:55 AM

Adaza ignore her comment as he went to a weapon rack, he slid it to the left to show simple bricks. He looked at Kiyan then kneeled down to get two bricks. They weren't heavy in the slightest, well to him at least. "Starting point: body tolerance. Form the position for push ups." He told her grinning evilly as he now stood in front of her. "First we'll start with a simple set of fifty, then weight training" He said setting down the two bricks. "If you even bend your back in the slightest, however , I'll add another set." He simply told her folding his arms over his chest.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 01:32 AM

Kiyan listened then smirked a bit before it turned into a frown as she realized that the dress she was wearing would probably get smudged up. She pulled a ribbon out of her pocket that she carried with her to tie up her hair but instead used it to tighten the dress she was wearing to just above her knees and and tight enough that it wouldn't drag the ground. She then moved to get down and started doing push ups her back and knees straight as she did so seeming to not have any problems in the least.

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 01:52 AM

Adaza just watched her as she somewhat changed and followed his simple orders. He watched her doing them with ease and smiled. "Very well, Kiyan." He placed one of the blocks onto her back as she did her push ups. "Looks like normal push ups are too easy for you." He said with a wicked grin. He caught a tiny bend to the left of her shoulder. It was barely noticeable; not even a big deal but he couldn't resist. "You are more shifted to your left, that's another set of fifty." He said kneeling down to face her. "Straighten your shoulders more. Or I'll add two more sets." He told her. "Oh and drop the brick, that will be a five more sets." He simply told her, the grin never leaving his face.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 01:58 AM

"You're almost as bad as my drill Sargent was" Kiyan scoffed but did as she was told making sure her breaths were steady and even as she did so ignoring the pressure of the brick on her back but did make sure that it didn't move as she did.

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 04:54 PM

Adaza just smiled wickedly. 'Almost' He thought to himself, he doubted that otherwise she would be a better warrior than she currently was. "Switch to your first knucks." He simply told her, slightly bored. "As I said before, normal push ups seem to easy for you. However, I doubt your last drill sergeant was worse then me." He leaned down more to make sure she could see his face as he spoke. "Otherwise you would be a decent warrior and not a weakling as you currently are." He said the last part truthfully and somewhat to taunt her.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 05:34 PM

Kiyan did as she was told but then got rather irritated at Adaza and scoffed at him a bit. "If I was truly a weakling I would already be dead, you just have unusually strong powers" she pointed out but continued to do as she was told but actually found it just a little harder using her fists but still managed to do it without bending in the least.

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 05:55 PM

The expression never left his pale face. "Don't confuse the will to survive and the strength of a warrior, both are completely different." He simply stated as he watched her, his pale blue eyes sparkled lightly with evil thoughts. "A being who never trained can out survive those who have, however in battle they are the first to die." He stood up before turning towards the weapon racks, walking over to the. Adaza just skimmed through the weapons. He hadn't been in this room for a while. "Perhaps instead of weight training, we'll give you a real lesson." He chuckled darkly. He has actually one of the meanest drill sergeants before he became a general; well one of his many ranks before his current.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 06:20 PM

Kiyan listened but didn't say anything as she continued her push-ups but before long was finished and moved one of her arms so she could grab the brick of her back so it wouldn't fall as she stood. She easily set it on the ground as she watched Adaza wondering a bit if he would actually be fair with the training or if he would use hiw powers witch he seemed to have back at least slightly

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 07:02 PM

Adaza just took off two wooden swords from the weapon rack before walking over to Kiyan. "First simple lesson; prove your words." He said tossing her a wooden sword. They were made from the strongest of cherry trees and were extremely painful if you hit correctly with them. He never changed his stance. Like always Adaza waited for his opponent to make the first move. He didn't have his powers so she couldn't claim of a unfair fights. What power he had he needed to retrain with and figure out the trigger; if it had changed. "Defeat me." He simply said waiting for her move.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 07:28 PM

Kiyan easily caught the sword twirling it in her hand to get a feel for it before gripping it firmly readying her body but felt that Adaza wouldn't make the first move so she moved to instead with an open move that she could easily dodge, attack or defend the move that she knew he would make

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 07:45 PM

Adaza just shifted slightly to the left, his wooden sword clashed with hers, forcing it towards the floor. Slightly ducking and with great speed he elbowed her in the ribs, dropping his sword as his elbow connected. Before it could fall he grabbed its hilt with his left allowing it to travel up his left arm. He turned once more and with a simple slash the wooden sword slammed into her ribs, close to where his elbow had previously hit. He spun his body around skillfully and let the wooden sword bash into her right elbow. With a switch of the hand he brought the sword down, barely stopping before it collided with her face. He just stared at her blankly, "My unusually strong powers aren't even present and yet, you're still weak." He told her in a mocking tone.

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 11:16 PM

Kiyan grunted and coughed out at the blows landing hard on the floor before she could even react but didn't even flinch as the tip of the wooden sword came close to her face and she stared up at him trying to catch her breath. "Where... did you learn to move like that?" she asked seeming rather surprised as she finally caught her breath and slowly moved to get up grabbing the sword her had given her as she did so.

Faded Beauty 06-14-2015 11:38 PM

Adaza just pulled his sword back and spun it skillfully before placing at his side. He stood straight as he watched Kiyan get up. "What, are you shocked I'm strong even without powers." He said mocking her still. He chuckled lightly. "You place too much body into your swing. A simple flick of your wrist or swing from your elbow will do." He told her sternly. "Bodies are delicate, a simple pound of pressure will break skin. Only of inch of penetration can cause fatal attacks." He said to Kiyan, he smirked once more before he simple order. "Again."

Sinsue Hoshigo 06-14-2015 11:50 PM

"Okay... so maybe I did underestimate you." kiyan smirked a little since she had thought he would be weaker thanks to his powers being gone. She then gripped her sword once more and decided to try and use her speed instead of force. She easily charged at him again like before but this time used her speed to get behind him and hopefully catch him off guard with a strike to his back trying to stay light on her feet so she could easily move out of the way of the blow that she knew would come at her if she missed.

Faded Beauty 06-15-2015 12:09 AM

He watched her carefully but smirked when she admitted to underestimated him, now if only she would admit she was weak as a warrior; only then would he stop this lesson. He was slightly shocked when she got behind him but didn't show it. Once more he shifted slightly. His wooden sword blocked her attack, forcing her sword to sway from its original path. Shiftly as he blocked, he moved forward slamming his elbow into the middle of her chest. He turned towards the left and twirled behind her, smacking her back with his sword. "Admit it, you're slow and weak as a warrior." He said taunting mer.
