"it's possible, even though our kind doesn't take well to new powers Kiyan has always been rather adaptable. You should ask her... from what I could sense once she was back she had recently experienced a major loss of energy, it's quite possible that your energy had been ripped from her body before she died... in all honesty Kiyan should have been in critical condition after she brought Lynia back, even with my help... she should have been in a comatose state for at least three days to a week or more... even after bringing back that bird she was passed out for days... and after she brought back a baby, she was sick for a month after waking up from a week long coma." kayo explained then smirked a little. "So I guess I owe you for something else, saving my little sisters life twice." he smiled slightly.
Adaza just closed his eyes in thought. "I sensed that was well." He stated calmly, although he could sense that it was his energy that was missing. "However I only know of one dark elf that can remove gifted energy." He spoke seriously as he opened his eyes to look at Kayo. Ignoring the rest of Kayo's words. "Kirito Nedos." He simply stated. Adaza just let his hand fall onto the armrest once more. "Kirito was my top student before I even met you on the battlefield. He had a rare gift of removing gifted energy. However he needed to remove it through the body. It explains the rather large hole in Kiyan's side." He looked at his hand as the picked off the small chunk of food that Kayo had left on the chair from another time. "However, Kirito has been dead for over ten years." He said in thought. "I need to talk to your sister once she is feeling able." He told Kayo seriously.
Kayo listened and nodded some as he contemplated what he said and thought a bit before sighing. "So long as she doesn't get out of bed for too long she should be fine, she should wake up soon I would think, she doesn't like down time though so i asked a maid to check on her every now and again as will I. She might even be more lucid today, she probably won't remember much from last night though" he said before looking over his notes once more then grabbed his medical kit. "I was going to check on her before breakfast if you wanted to see if she's awake." he offered
Adaza just weakly stood up, his body still aching like crazy. "Then let us go." He said plainly. He would return to his library to do some research on the Dark Elven subclass. Although he did learn a lot about the Darkous clan just now, which only fueled more questions in the end. He was curious on how she was handling more of his energy. She fought the small amount he had given her the first time so that would be rather interesting, maybe even funny. Adaza just left the room and slowly made his way to the room Kiyan was in. He stopped and stared at the doorway. The maids had cleaned up the ashes but the doorway still had no door, just a blanket as a makeshift one. He just went inside and slowly made his way to Kiyan.
Kayo nodded and made sure he had everything before fallowing Adaza. Kiyan yawned a bit before flinching some seeming to have been looking at something on the other side of the room before the two came in catching her attention. She looked at Adaza before looking at her brother and smiled a little it seeming very weak. "Good morning... what happened? I don't remember... coming home..." she said quietly clearly not seeming to remember being killed, brought back, or anything that happened after the dungeon.
Adaza just stood by her bed and he just crossed his arms over his chest. He was rather happy she didn't remember anything that followed after her death, well some points of the following events. "You died." He simply told her, she was too new to his energy to realize the feeling she would get from his words and withholding information. "I'll let your brother explain to you how you were revived but right now I need you to answer my questions and tell me everything that happened to you." He said bluntly, he was sure Kayo would bring things up after her story but right now he wanted to hear what happened and who was involved even though he already knew who was in involved.
"I... Died?... but.... who brought me back?" Kiyan asked curiously before nodding when he said that Kayo could tell her. She watched as her brother came over to her other side where the gash was, well at least half of it since it had been healed quite a bit already, and started to clean the dressing since she was in a normal shirt and shorts now so it would be easier to tend to her wounds. "Um... well I remember breakfast and heading out to the garden, laying under that one tree in my fox form like I usually do... i remember something sticking me and I tried to run but I passed out a few seconds later... when I woke up I was in a dungeon... but not the one we had been in before, that rat.... Sepheal was there... said i had to pay for disrespecting him... something else was there... I'm not sure exactly what he was but Sepheal called him your student or something like that... he kept attacking me... and when I tried to kill him he just pulled his own head right off his shoulders, I've never seen anything like it... he ripped a hole in my side with one attack and the same spot got burned... after most of that Sepheal... he did the same thing to me that he did to you.... I couldn't breathe... when he let me go that... thing dug into the same spot that he had ripped a chuck out of... I don't know what he was doing but it felt like he was ripping the life right out of me... I kinda blacked out for a few minutes... but I remember feeling really sick... like I was going to die... or like I was already dead... whatever he took out of me Sepheal put back in... i don't remember exactly how but I know not long after that he got really mad at me and put his hand back through my chest... after that all i remember is pain and blood... and I felt like I had been asleep for a long time... it just felt like an eternity before i woke up back here." Kiyan explained trying to hold back the fear and horror that came from what happened... she didn't like showing pain or fear but she was really scared of what happened.
Adaza just listen to her, his stance never changing. He closed his eyes lightly before speaking. "Sehpeal most have taken you to the third level dungeon." He simply stated as he opened his eyes to watch Kayo clean the wounds. "It is where Sehpeal keeps all the dark elves that been sealed into their bodies after death by me." He said looking away from them. "Kirito Nedos is the the one you most have been tortured by, at least by the sound of it." He adjusted his stance slightly shifting his weight from one aching leg to the other. "The part of you he ripped out was my energy. It already fused into your being so removing it is like removing part of your soul. You must have been dying for Sehpeal to place it back." He looked at Kayo then to Kiyan before continuing. "I'm guessing Kirito removed the energy after your death, that would explain the hole in your chest." Adaza said never moving from his solid stance, even with all the aches and pains from the night before.
Kiyan listened and frowned looking away a bit thinking of how weak she had been, she knew what bringing Lynia back would mean for her... Adaza had saved her life by giving her some of his energy, he must have figured that out as well. "He took the bracelet you gave me as well..." she said quietly as she thought about what happened and felt kinda bad about that... but she wasn't sure why. She thought a bit more before looking at Adaza rahter confused. "Wait... if he kept it then... why don't I feel so sick now?" she asked curiously then looked at Kayo confused as he tried to keep from laughing
Adaza just glared at Kayo. He could see the laughter building in his face. He just sighed softly before simply replying. "I replaced it." Thats all he was willing to tell her at this time. He knew Kayo would be upset that he was keeping the fact he accidently bound them as husband and wife but she wasn't strong to handle that kind of news at the moment. He was sure Kayo would realize that. "As for the brace, it is just a simple trinket it nothing more, easy to replace." He simply told her once more before heading to leave the room. He was glad she was feeling better but he wanted to leave before she started digging too deep into the other night.
Kiyan frowned but nodded having the oddest feeling that he was lying... or just not telling her something but she couldn't figure out why. "Oh... Are you okay? You look like you're in pain" she pointed out then looked at Kayo when he was finished and smiled at him a little but felt that he was hiding something too, had something else happened? Did something happen when she came back that she couldn't remember?
Adaza just stopped right before he got to the door. "I'm fine." He told her softly. He could sense her doubt about them. He had forgotten what it was like to be bound to someone, it felt odd. "Don't try to force back memories Kiyan. You're not strong enough to deal with them yet." He told her before leaving the room. His body ached but he could handle it allot better then being emotionally tied to Kiyan when she remembered the events for the last few days. He wasn't really looking forward to that. He made his way back to the library, he had allot of research to do so he decided to get started on it as soon as possible.
Kiyan frowned again but nodded a bit before speaking to her brother for a little while but he wouldn't tell her anything either and just insisted that she got more rest once he was finished with all of her wounds. Kiyan grudgingly did as she was told but her sleep wasn't near as peaceful as she would have hoped. Flashes of her death and the moments leading up to it ran through her mind causing her to whimper and move in her sleep. Finally after about an hour of getting little to no rest she managed to sit up groaning at the pain before standing and managing to get out onto her balcony and sit down relaxing as she looked over the garden sighing a little as her body ached and her chest hurt.
Lynia quietly walked down the hallway. She had eaten breakfast by herself this morning and she had brought her father food in the library afterwards. He had told her to leave Kiyan alone but she was too worried about her. She enter the room with the blanket for a door. A plate of food clumsy mixing all over the place as she walked into Kiyan's room. "Nana?" She called out softly, she had a hard time pronouncing her name even with Kayo trying to teach her to correctly say it, so she just decided to call her Nana.
"Lynia?" Kiyan said before groaning a little as she stood and walked back into her room. "What are you doing in here sweety? shouldn't you be resting?" she asked softly before taking the tray easily with her good hand and placed it on the table that was in her room
Lynia smiled happily when seeing Kiyan come from the balcony. "Papa said you weren't feeling good." She said quietly, she didn't want to get in trouble. "You missed breakfast, I brought you food." She said just as quietly as she looked at the scattered food on the tray. She turned to Kiyan and her smiled widen. She could sense her father's energy in her. "You and papa are sharing energy like grandma and grandpa!" She said happily and giggled. "That makes you my new mama." Lynia hugged Kiyan tightly, she was happy she had a mother.
"Yeah i had a little accident that's all" kiyan said softly then was surprised and gently placed her hands on Lynia's shoulders before kneeling down to let the little girl hug her. "What do you mean Lynia?" she asked a bit confused since she didn't remember Adaza giving her that much energy and he had told her that he just replaced the energy she had lost.
Lynia just let go of Kiyan and took her left arm. She turned it gently to show Kiyan a marking right under the inside of her elbow. There rested a black marking. It was similar to the number three with small differences. On the top of the base was a split that waved slightly to the left and a rather small diamond in the bottom loop. "That's Papa's symbol." She said confused on Kiyan's question. "You give Papa your's when you bounded to him." She said softly. "That makes you Mama." She smiled slightly confused by this. She was her new mother, she had the marking on her arm like her father said people who bounded got. Even her grandpa's had the markings, though theirs was different then her's and her father's.
Kiyan flinched a little as her aching arm was moved but just looked down at the mark in shock before smiling at lynia softly "I see... I'm sorry Lynia I didn't mean to confuse you, honestly I'm a little confused myself but it's probably just from my injury." she explained softly before sitting down on her bed and patted the spot beside her for Lynia to join her. "How are you feeling by the way? You know I worry about you allot." she smiled kindly knowing she would need to talk to Adaza soon
Lynia just smiled and climb onto the bed. She sat next to Kiyan happily. "I'm feeling better today." She replied happily. "I just wanted to bring you food. Papa says breakfast is a very important meal." She smiled at the scattered tray. "It moved around when I was walking here." She said sadly at the mess. She really did try to go slow so it wouldn't make a mess but she failed greatly. She looked at the half empty glass of juice, most of it spilled on the tray and floor as she walked to the room.
"It's alright, doesn't look like the food on the plate got wet, thank you Lynia you're so thoughtful. I'm so sorry I haven't been able to watch after and take care of you like I'm supposed to, but I should be feeling better in a day or two, i promise we'll get to spend as much time together as you like." Kiyan offered with a kind smile before picking up a roll and took a bite of it, she really hoped Lynia would want to spend time with her, she seemed like such a sweet little girl
Lynia just smiled as Kiyan started to eat the roll. "I want you to feel better before we spend time together." She replied happily before slowly scooting off the bed. She couldn't stay long or her father would catch her and she would be in trouble. "Then we can go on a family picnic. I never been on one but Uncle Kayo told me they are really fun." She smiled at Kiyan happily at that thought of finally having a mother to have a family picnic, she loved her birth mother but she never got to see what it was like to have her around, so it was exciting to have Kiyan as a mother. "Papa will be mad if I stay here, I need to go." She said sadly before giving Kiyan another hug and leaving as fast as she could.
Kiyan smiled at Lynia but was a little sad when she left. She was soon finished with the part of breakfast that hadn't gotten soaked and placed it on the table in her room once more before getting back up and headed back outside to sit thinking about what lynia said and couldn't help but smile some, she never would have even dared to imagine having a child call her their mother let alone having a family... of course she kinda felt that she shouldn't get her hopes up... after all Adaza probably didn't really feel that way but why else would he bond with her?
Adaza just rubbed his face. He was falling asleep as he tried to find answers he needed. He stood up slowly from his desk. Books scattered all over it barely gave him any space to use it to help stand. His eyes went to Lynia as she tried to sneak passed his office. "Lynia." He called out to the little girl, who stopped in the middle of his doorway. She turned to look at her father with a big smile. "Yes Papa?" Adaza just looked at her, he knew that look. "You went to Kiyan's room didn't you?" He said more as a statement then a question. She looked down at the floor sadly, she got caught. She nodded a short yes. "Papa, why did Nana act funny when I asked her about your bounding?" She asked curiously but Adaza just froze in place. His daughter told her? Quickly he walked around his desk, ignoring all the shooting pain. "Lynia, please tell me you didn't tell her?" He asked his little girl who just looked at the floor. "My love, go play." He told her, nothing else was coming to his mind except how Kiyan was reacting to the news. As quickly as she could, Lynia left the room to go play. She knew she did something but was unsure of what.
Adaza just rubbed his neck with his left hand. He could feel the headache coming already. "Might as well and get this over with." He said to himself. He knew there was no use to putting it off now. Adaza took a deep breath before making his way out of his study and to Kiyan's room. Once there he knocked on the door frame before entering. He really just wanted to get this over with. "Kiyan?" He called out softly as he did. |
Kiyan frowned a little as she heard Adaza and slowly stood groaning a little again before walking back into her room her arms crossed... when her good arm her other arm was in a sling for right now. "So... when were you going to tell me? Or were you just hoping i wouldn't find out?" she asked with a frown before moving to sit in the desk chair she had in her room
