Eric stood there shocked as they handcuffed him and started to ask him questions. "where were you?" "why?" "how?" all these questions they asked him as he stood there and tried to look at Miriam. But instead, she just looked away form him and never looked at him. He felt like he was breaking inside and soon, everything around him blurred together. "I didn't do it, I was with Miriam the whole time." was all he managed to say. Yet none of them believed him as they started to lead him out of the house. He let them push him out, still shocked at everything that was happening. Everything had just been taken from him. The freedom he had just started to taste was gone, the happiness was gone, and what was worse, the girl he loved didn't want to see him anymore.

Eric felt like he was dieing inside to know that everything was being taken. He hadn't done anything, he had been doing what he had planned on, protecting her. When they didn't put him into the cruiser yet, he wondered why till he saw Miriam. He tried to move his hands yet they were behind his back, still cuffed. Frowning, he looked down at the ground, "Miriam.... I didn't do it.... you know I wouldn't..." he said softly as he tried to find the worlds. Yet each word felt as hard to say as the last. Looking up at her, he hoped that she would listen, "I was with you the whole time, I never left. Not even to go to the bathroom and I fell asleep with you. You have to believe me, I didn't do it." he said as he looked at her, hoping she would.

Eric wanted to hold her close and felt his heart mend slightly when he felt her place her hand on his chest. He placed his hand on her shoulder as he listened to her, the best he could do for a hug. "I dont know." he said to her softly as he stayed close. He was going to say something when he caught a sent in the air. Sniffing slightly, he looked over at the car. Inside, he caught what looked like his bag and couldn't stop himself from growling. Looking down at Miriam, he whispered, "he framed me." He knew that this was his way of making sure that he would be away from Miriam and knew he couldn't do that. He couldn't let himself be taken to jail if that man was out there. Moving closer to her, he pressed his lips to her ear, "I am sorry, but I need to run. It will keep you safe." he said as he knew that if he let his other side out, even in human form, he could easily get away from everyone.

Eric kissed her back as he put his head on her shoulder again. He was surprised when he heard the world we come from her and moved closer. "do you want to come with me?" he asked her softly as he stayed closer to her. He could start to smell the worry coming from the police and knew if he was going to break free he would have to do it soon. "if you dont or do, I will be close by either way. I know he is going to try to get you and I want to protect you as best as I can. I know your father will, but only a werewolf can stop a werewolf." he said to her softly as he stuck close to her.

Eric smiled when he heard her and felt like everything might actually be okay. Kissing her back, he kept his head on her shoulder, "don't worry, I can get any supplies we need. I can hunt and cook when we need too and I know how to get other supplies we need. Everything is going to be okay." he said to her softly and then smelled the impatience coming from her father. Kissing her ear, he whispered, "time is up." he said and with that, his eyes seemed to change from their normal brown to a yellow. A low growl came from him and with inhuman strength, the handcuffs broke as he pulled his arms apart. He then wrapped his arms around her, picking her up into his arms, and he glared at all of the people around him. They all got their guns ready now but before even one had time to fire, he was already gone, disappearing into the forest with Miriam. Once they cleared the forest, Erics eyes went back to their brown and he looked down at Miriam, "everything is going to be fine." he said to her softly.

Eric smiled and was glad that she believed him and knew that she was the only person who would ever believe him on this. Once he was sure that they were far enough he slowed down and looked down at Miriam. "I am sorry for getting you into all this." he said as he looked down at her and continued to walk. "and I am telling the truth, I would never harm anyone unless they try to attack me. I also smelled his sent on my stuff. He must of worn it and made it look like I did it." he said as he looked at her. "I really am sorry that I got you into this." he said as he kissed her head and kept her close.

Eric listened to her and nodded, but he still felt like this was all his fault. When she pulled him into the kiss, it eased his worry and he nodded as he looked into her eyes, "okay." he said to her softly as he kept her close to him. "I am just worried is all." he said as he looked at her lovingly. Stopping for a second, he looked back and smiled, he wasn't leaving much of a trail for them to follow. After looking around a fit, he saw a deer trail and knew that if he followed that he would find a river and hopefully a place they could hide. He continued to walk and looked down at Miriam, "hopefully we can find a place to spend the night. Then, tomorrow we can head to the next town, I have a friend there who can help us get supplies." It felt like the day he had just ran away, but this time he knew what to do and he wasn't alone.

Eric purred as she rubbed his chest and knew that he couldn't ask for anything better. Being with her and knowing he coudl protect her was the best.When he heard her, he sadly nodded, "once he finds out that your not back there, he probably will. But hopefully we will be long gone by the time he finds out." he said as he looked at her, "and if he does follow us, I will just have to put him in his place and make him tell everyone that he was the one who killed those people." he said as he looked at her.

Ben looked down at her as he held her close and smiled, "your my mate, I will never want anyone else." he said as he smiled at her and calmed down as she touched his chest. When he heard her, he nodded, "your right." he said as he looked at her lovingly. "as long as I have you, nothing else matters." he said and knew that even though that town was their home town, being together was the only thing that mattered. "where would you like to go, miriam? we can go where ever you like." he said as he smiled at her.

Ben smiled when he heard her and kissed her gently, "your the only person I want to be stuck with." he said to her softly and kept her close. Though when he heard her, he smiled, "well, Elizabeth, how about if we head to the beach? I am sure we could find a house for us to rent there after we head to my friend. He can give us all the supplies we need and even make some fake ID's and papers. What do you think of that?" he asked as he held her close and soon heard water. After a few more minutes. THey came to a stream, which meant there should be a nice place for them to stay at.

Ben smiled when he heard her and could tell she was excited. Nodding, he smiled as he held her hand, "yes, we can head to the beach and start a new life together." he said as he smiled at her. When he got to the stream, he smiled at her, "there should be a cave a little further up the stream. It is where I stayed when I was running away." he said as he smiled at her and then kissed her gently. He hoped that they were far enough away that the police didn't find them.

Ben smiled as he continued to walk and nodded, "yeah, I am starting to be glad I have done it too. I know exactly what we need to do." he said as he stopped and wrapped his arms around her. He loved being this close to her and he looked into her eyes. "right now, I see me with you and a house some where far way where no one will find us." he said as he gently stroked her cheek, "what do you see?" he asked elizabeth softly.

Ben smiled when he heard her and pulled her closer to him. "a child with you would be... amazing to have with you." he said as he smiled at her. He then kissed her gently and smiled more, "making a family with you is something I would love to do." he said as he found he couldnt' stop smiling right now. Just the thought of having a kid with her was exciting and he couldn't wait to start this new life with her.
