"So long as I can cling to your arm and scream like a girl, sure we can. Dinner, oh... can we make it a real date then, can we make it a picnic... at the beach? I'd like to watch the stars." she knew it sounded just a bit out of the way, but she couldn't help it. If they were going to go it, they'd do it all the way. She blushed a little, a bit embarrassed by her admission. But hey, he could only say no. "Thank you for going on this date with me, it means a lot." She pursed her lips and slipped off into her own thoughts.

She played with her hair idly, and began to draw patterns on her pants. She glanced up at him now and then, imagining the outfit she'd put together. She wanted to impress him, maybe... she should cook, she didn't have food. Where were they going to get the food? She wanted to face palm herself, but refrained. She felt like an idiot, for even suggesting it now. But she wanted to do it, if he agreed maybe she could make this night special, but they had to find food. Oh his place, he'd said it wasn't too far away. "I don't have any food in the house, so if you agree to the picnic we'll have to either order out or go to your place."

"Hmmm. How about we save the picnic for a later date? You may not even like me much after tonight. Lets get to know each other a little better and take it from there. I don't want to rush things." It was the gentlest way he could think of to deny her. Saxa didn't want to move too fast nor fall into a trap that could be potentially deadly for him. Even without her nails she could kill him by sucking him dry and he certainly didn't want that. She had a disarming smile which was frightening. There was a chemistry about them that he'd never felt before and it scared him.

"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I just don't want all of this to happen and then something come up and ruin it." That was his apology. He had to give her one. She seemed so excited and the hunter felt the same way but his parents had taught him a few things before they went missing. They'd been teaching him about love and how to guard his heart almost as soon as they started teaching him to kill. 'A heart grows cold if you have no one to hold.' That's what his mother used to say. His father simply told him, 'Son. Take your time if you find someone you like. People have a habit of rushing things trying to make something big happen, but it's the little things that create the biggest lasting effect.'

They were pulling up into her yard a few minutes later and he parked his car. "Would you rather me wait inside or out here?" It was a dumb question but he asked just in case she was upset and didn't want him to wait at all.

"No I understand completely, it's cool. I'll see the batcave at a later date. But whichever is more comfy for you" She chuckled as she opened her door. She tapped on the trunk for him to open it. It was nice of him to apologize, especially for something that he wasn't wrong about. He was a nice guy after all, he'd helped her and agreed to go out wth her. He was good in her book, she'd never been one to hold a grudge something her parents had taught her. But the grudge she'd nursed- she shook her head to rid herself of the thoughts. Saxa was a mystery to her, an attraction lay between them; scary and exhilirating she knew it could be a double edged sword. And maybe one that could be weilded in a good direction.

His charm was his honesty she decided. Not many men, especially Hunters would have given her the time of day after that, in fact had he been anyone else, he'd've been dead and she wouldn't have cared; in a sudden jarring realization she lost her breath, 'Hero syndrome, he saves me from self destructing and now I'm romantising everything!' She bite her lip, falling silent for the first time since they'd begun talking, her eyes flickering a bit and her expression becoming thoughtful, she was contemplating. If this was true and she was, he was just the rebound guy, or someone she could fall for and love hopelessly, it wasn't a comforting though and it didn't ease her mind. Now she was even more tense and nervous than ever before, she could be trapping herself for Gods' sake.

Saxa popped the trunk and got out to help get her bags to carry in the house. After he opened the trunk Leigh seemed to go into a daze and the man got a little concerned. Placing a hand gently against her back he leaned up to her, "Hey, are you alright?" She seemed shocked all of a sudden. It was a little weird but maybe she was just as nervous about things as he was which was good. It would mean that she genuinely wanted to get to know him and maybe even liked him, though he wasn't counting on that last part just yet.

"Come unlock the door. I'll carry your bags inside, just let me know where you want them," he told her politely. As his emerald eyes stared at her perfect face he realized just how beautiful she really was. It was almost scary. Sax had never thought that he'd ever be taking out a woman who could easily be a supermodel. It was surreal, yet here he was in her presence. Again the man found himself smiling clownishly to himself. This was beyond him. It seemed the hunter really had a crush on the Dhampir.

She blinked a couple times once he spoke directly to her, the reply was slow but at least she answered, "Yeah... I'm alright... just a lil... dazed." She took a deep breath and focused, bringing herself back to the world. She had a habit of zoning out when her emotions or thoughts ran high, and she'd been doing that a lot recently. Shrugging she picked up her backpack and pulled her house key out, and smiled; she owned a house, not an apartment, didn't rent or sublet but owned a house! She was so excited as she walkd to the door and opened it, she pushed it open wide for Saxa to enter. She looked around at the simplicity of the decor, it was only a light gray plush rug and gold and brown wallpaper. From the entry you could see the kitchen, which was nestled in the southeast corner. Next to it was a bathroom, and on the opposite side was her bedroom, along with her office. There was also a sliding door that showed off her little back yard. There was no furniture except for in the bathroom and kitchen, everything was bare.

"Sorry about the mess," chuckle "but I haven't had time to clean. My room is to your left, if you could put them in there I'd be grateful. And thank you Sax, you're a good guy." She said as she turned back to close the door, eager to get ready for her date! She wasn't counting on things to go well, but she hoped the did, it would be a change of pace and perspective; she enjoyed looking at Saxa, his eyes were a lovely shade of green that reminded her of shamrocks, they were vivid and alive; his long hair was intriguing, his build was almost her type (his butt was definite) , plus he was funny and helped her out of a bind, cool kid point for him. Now it was only early afternoon, so by the time she got done the arcade still wouldn't be packed still she was in a bit of a rush, 10 no 20 minutes tops, she didn't want him to wait too long. Though she supposed if they were really feeling each other that they would both be waiting, on what she had no clue, but good things come to those who waited right?

The hunter placed his hand on her forehead wondering if maybe she was feeling sick. Then he thought about it and wondered how similar was a half-breed to a full blooded human? He didn't really know the difference in the physiology between them so there was really no way to tell if she even got sick other than to ask. Either way she didn't feel much different from a human. Her head was radiating some heat so that was a start. He guessed that being a half-breed she wasn't undead like an pure-blood was.

Picking up the bags after she seemed to snap to, he followed and waited until she opened her door and then followed her in. Her home was nice. It was simple, with the decor easily complimenting the rooms and colors. A little barren without furniture, but a nice color scheme most certainly.

Saxa burst into laughter when she apologized for the mess, "There's no mess in here," he replied. A tingle went down his spine when she said he was a good guy. It was a bit weird coming from someone he'd almost killed a week ago, and he wondered if it was weird for her to say it? "I-. . . Thank you." He was about to protest the comment but figured he'd simply accept it with grace for now. Maybe this was a path he could take to redemption?

Finally after releasing himself from his thoughts he took the clothes into her room and then came back into the front room and sat down against the wall. He would wait here patiently for her to get ready.

She picked out a purple and white stipped tank top "BEWARE: I BITE!" written across it in black. Black cotton bellbottom pants, black and white dyed fishnet gloves, and simple black lace for underneath. She put them in the bathroom and then took her make up in hand as she considered her shoes, 'Black and purple AirMax's, and a 'choker.' Snatching up those items she made her way to the bathroom, where she took a quick hot shower and brushed her teeth with Sensodyne, even as a Dhampir she had sucky human weaknesses, it sucked sometimes. She hummed to herself as she applied her make up, smokey purple eyelids, dense black liner, a touch of mascara and cherry bomb red lips. She put her choker and undies on before her pants and shirt. She wrapped her hair in a bun and put chrome chopsticks there to hold it. She dabbed a little bit of jasmine scented oil on, slipped into her sneakers, and then she was ready.

"Alright, let's blow this lousy joint!" She said to Saxa, giving him a teasing smile. She then went to her room and got a black and white jean jacket, then grabbed her purse before re-entering the living room, crossing to the door she opened it and locked it, before walking to the car; leaving no time for him to say anything to her.

(Why did you not say anything to me!!! I thought I replied to this ages ago!)

Saxa sat back and waited patiently for a few minutes until she was ready. Then when the young woman appeared, the hunter was stunned. Mentally his mouth dropped but he contained himself visually. When she said lets go he quickly hopped up but looked at her in a slight daze for a moment. He wanted to tell her how divine she looked, or devilish, but the words never escaped his mouth. Having failed in that endevor he simply walked out of the house and went to the car and opened the door for her.

When she took her seat he closed it behind her and got in on his side. Backing out of the driveway, Saxa stopped the car and just stared for a moment. "Where were we going again? I can't seem to think straight right now," he admitted. "You look absolutely, memorizing. I'm not sure that you aren't trying to seduce me right now. I could be dead by the end of the night," he teased her with a smile.

(Well I had gone to, but then Sandy hit I live in New Jersey... :( but I'm back now so that's all that matters)

She blushed a light pink at his compliment, though she had initiated this she didn't think that... she really had some self-esteem issues. "Dead, oh no. I don't date what I eat, and frankly honey I'm not into beastiality." She said as she stuck her tongue out at him, trying not to blush again, it would only make things worse. "We are going to the arcade, it's downtown by the banks." In all honesty she couldn't really concentrate now, he was radiating body heat, something that attracted vamps to humans, and that was one of her worst weaknesses. Hot males, literally! She couldn't think of how many times she'd gotten herself into trouble all over a hot blooded male, and they were always good looking. Another vampy thing, they were attracted to beauty, coveted it; some of the most vain and arrogant creatures, even with no reflection.

Harleigh licked her lips to wet them and looked over at Saxa, she could look at him without him noticing and she studied him. It struck her, 'Mortal enemies, a date, attraction.. Romeo and Juliet much? Damn girl how dramatic can you get?' But that wasn't going to stop her, he would be the only one who knew what he was, who knew her back story; he hadn't shunned her even though he had every reason to, nor she him. He was a Hunter, with a story to match her own, and though they'd flirted just a tiny bit she could tell he didn't date much, the thought pleased her that she' d managed to snag his attention. She was staring so intently at him that she never noticed the signs. Oblivious to the world and everyone else, her one track mind was stuck on the way his fingers gripped the steering wheel, gently but with confidence, she wondered if they had ever... "Are you a virgin?" She blurted out befre she thought better of it and then almost slapped her hand over her mouth, but she didn't want to ruin her make-up so instead she faced forward and waited for her answer.

(Oh yeah. I'm so sorry, I did forget. I hope everything is okay with you and your family!)

"Not into bestiality you say? What make you think I'm not a beast?" He smiled and gave her a mischievous wink. Then he finally nodded and backed out onto the road and started heading towards their first location for their date tonight. Thinking back on it, he'd never been to an arcade before, he was likely to suck this one up playing games. But maybe not, he certainly had above average hand eye coordination, so maybe he could pick up on it quickly. He was a quick learner after all.

His thoughts drifted to a few other topics as he wove through traffic until she asked her question. Suddenly he caught a cough that seemed to have stemmed out of nowhere. It took him a moment to catch it and after he did, he looked over at the woman who seemed to be intent on not looking at him and he laughed. It was the first time anyone had asked him that, "I haven't worked with many attractive women before and I certainly haven't had time to give in to any of my base desires so, yes. I'm a virgin. Is that a bad thing?" He wondered. Maybe she would prefer a man who had experience in those areas. Saxa was not one of those guys.

"Wait, are you a virgin?" It seemed to dawn on him that from her reaction she may have been in the same situation, which was good. If he was dating someone, his parents had taught him to date someone who was a legitimate prospect for marriage, though he wasn't sure if that's what he was going for here or not. 'Time, give it time,' he thought to himself. He would take things slow.

"No it's not and no... I'm not..." she said and slid into an almost depressed silence, it was as bad a memory as most of her life after her parents disappearance had ever been. She had simply wondered if he had ever pleasured a woman, if he knew how, if... If was going to get her in a lot of trouble. She took a deep breath and then pulled herself back together, it wouldn't do for her to let him see that side of her as mere acquaintances.

Lee watched the lights of the city pass by her window as the sun was setting lower and lower into the horizon, turning the sky into a mix up of colors. They reminded her of a beautiful fabric, a kimono made of silk that shone with a masters touch. She touched the window, a gentle and loving touch that bespoke of her feelings at the moment and were lost in the very next moment as she yet again gathered herself in an attempt to continue the conversation. "Does that bother you...? My, not being a virgin? Do you find me dirty? Will your eyes glaze over with disgust as you think of my person?" she asked as she faced the window, her body turned slightly away from his. She shouldn't have said anything. 'You are an incurable idiot, who does not know when the time to stop is...' she thought to herself.

What was that sinking feeling he just felt? Disappointment? Or maybe it was fear? The fear of being a disappointment? He didn't know. "No, its not a problem." Though he wasn't completely sure whether that was the truth or not. Saxa hadn't really expected her to be one. Most people nowadays weren't. Virginity was something that seemed suitable for kids, not a full grown man in his mid twenties, but work had kept those opportunities extremely limited. "To each their own. Maybe I wouldn't be either if I had more time on my hands." That was probably a false statement. His parents had started preaching chastity to him once he hit puberty and he honored them with his life. Maybe a bit too much. He hadn't left himself much room to live life after their death. Leigh had been right, he wasn't much more than a killing machine and Sax had no idea why all of this was suddenly occurring to him but it was.

"I think maybe you overreacted a little bit. Did you expect me to be disgusted because I'm still a virgin? I'm not that judgmental. Except when it comes to vampires," he said half teasingly, half seriously. Since she was a half breed he hoped the lame sarcasm would fly. "Sorry, I don't have normal conversations with people often. I'm used to killing vampires being the only conversation topic, so forgive my lack of. . ." he tapped his chin thinking for the word. "Experience?" Not sure that it was the actual word he was looking for Saxa shrugged.

-------

The sky was slowly fading from a the fiery array of reddish oranges that signified late afternoon to the darker cascade of bluish purples that was indicative of early night. All the while the two navigated through light traffic as they reached their destination. "Well looks like we're here." After getting out the car he went and opened the door for Harleigh, "After you mademoiselle." Doing his best to put on a charming smile, he closed the door after her. "I hope you know you're going down tonight." Might as well talk a little trash right?

She looked at him with pity and then shook her head. She turned to him and swept her hand across their view saying, "This is my domain, do not take me lightly mortal... or you will lose!" She gave him a small smile then skipped away towards her favorite game, House of the Dead, a two person game but normally she played alone. Maybe he would be a good match as he was trained with real guns, but real guns had nothing to do with this game; you could lose or win depending on how you played, and the game was sure to surprise even him.

"Lee!!!" an incoming voice shouted, and as Harleigh turned around she was tackled by a giggling, chattering girl. "I missed you sis! How've you been?! Where've you been? I haven't seen you in forever!" Harleigh put her friend down and laughed while she ruffled her hair.
"Calm down love, I've only been gone for a couple weeks. Jenna, met Saxa, my friend." She stepped away from her friend a bit shyly, and then shook her head. She was sure that Saxa would like Jenna, and visa versa.
"Hi..." Jenna said, peeking out from behind Harleigh to wave at Saxa.

Mortal? How dare she! Though he was a mere mortal when it came down to things. "I guess I will have to show you!" Saxa returned the smile and followed after her at a smooth pace over to the game called House of the Dead. Apparently it was a shooting game. There were two guns, one red one blue, sitting in a holster at the front of the gaming console. She wants to play a shooting game? Seriously? I do this for a living. There's no way I'll lose to her in a shooting game of all things.

Just as he picked up the red gun on the right someone called out to Leigh. He turned around to see a bubbly little lady approach his date. "Nice to meet you Jenna." He gave a polite inclination as acknowledgement. "Looks like you might've just bought your friend a little time before this butt kicking Jenna." Saxa smiled politely at the vampire.

"Why are you with a guy Lee? I thought you were into girls!" Jenne exclaimed. Harleigh face palmed herself and then looked down at Jenna with shock and awe.
"Jen, I am bisexual. I am on a date, right now, with Saxa. Please for the love of God, no more random outbursts about my personal life." Harleigh looked at Saxa with a look that pleaded for forgiveness and no judgement. She really wanted this date to go well and here was her friend making her look like, well she wasn't even sure. Maybe this was a sign. What was she doing with a Hunter anyway, even if she had let her past hatred go, was this even a good idea? He knew where she lived now, he could be used as her weakness.
"Well fine then. I hope you know that you could do better than this dreary looking kid. I'll see you later sis." Jenna turned on her heel and walked out, waving at Harleigh and then glaring at Saxa.
"I'm sorry about that, I didn't know she would be like that... she's a very good friend." Harleigh shuffled her feet as she looked down at the floor. She couldn't believe that this had happened, her friend had embarrassed her, she had stuck her foot in her mouth earlier. This was going so firckin' well. Instead of waiting to possibly hear his rejection or his opinion she put two quarters into the game and pressed the button for the red gun, and picked it up. If he was going to play he'd do it, if not then she would be fine she would just... 'Well what are you going to do if he doesn't, if he leaves? Shut up, brain!' Leigh hoped he he would, but she would figure something out, it wasn't as though she hadn't been dumped before, and it was sure to happen again, she wasn't going to let something so small get her down. "Wanna play?" she asked, looking over her shoulder in a challenging way.

Into girls? So am I just a quick date to pass the time then? It was hard not to think that. It seemed that they were different on a bunch of levels when it came to sexuality but this one was a curveball. His mouth dropped slightly, unable to keep a straight face on what he'd just heard. Then she admitted to being bisexual. Okay that was better. Having never had sex before Saxa wasn't really sure how that worked and all. What he did know what that she looked as stunned at this turn of events as he did so maybe she hadn't wanted him to know? Probably. It was a personal thing.

"Dreary looking kid?" That did it. She pushed the wrong button. Raising up his shirt, Saxa revealed a godly chiseled (and rock hard) eight-pack. "Bet she couldn't find a woman or another man that looks this damn good," he said arrogantly. He knew that she had already walked off and wasn't paying any attention but some of the other girls in the arcade were and he could clearly hear the gasps. "So did you two mess around for a while or something? That sounded a lot like jealousy. . ." He knew it wasn't his business to pry but it came out like word vomit.

As she picked up the red gun and put her money in apparently waiting for him, the hunter shrugged, "I need to blow off some steam. Why not kill some dead things," he replied still slightly peeved. The thought hadn't occurred to him that he could've been talking about killing vampires too. Taking his place beside her, Sax put in his two quarters and picked up the blue gun. "Why I have to have the blue gun?" The game was about to start so it was time to be silly and cause a distraction. "Why I couldn't have the red gun? You seent me pick up the red gun! So now you deciding to steal my gun?" He bombarded her with unnecessary questions hoping to throw her game off while he got the hang of the controls and got a few kills in. "Darn zombies popping up outta nowhere."

Leigh had seen the macho man display and could only hope that no girl tried to approach him, she wasn't in the mood to hear the slurs and insults. "No. She could be jealous though... I've only ever seen her as a little sister. And honestly the shirt thing was uncalled for. Cuz now you got these females in here jealous..." Harleigh took a deep breath to calm herself. As he began to joke around she smiled a little bit at his foolishness, Saxa had a sense of humor it seemed. "Hey you're the one that got all pissed of cuz a gay girl called you dreary. I'm just a bird tryna get a worm. Keep up the funny talk and you're gonna lose." She said this as she took the lead, killing zombies left and right with the skill of a practiced user. When it came time for the first boss she wasn't sure how they would do; she hoped they'd survive that long, and if they didn't she'd be kinda disappointed but there were other games to play, thing she could show him and kick his butt at no problem.

"Eh, it's alright. None of them will approach us. They see me here with you, and we don't favor each other enough for them to use the sibling excuse," he said with a smirk as he continued to kill zombies. "A bird trying get a worm huh? So you the hunter now and I'm a piece of meat?" He noticed that she was taking the lead. "Damn, you've played this game to much. If I hadn't had any formal training you'd be kicking my butt pretty bad but luckily the aim's not off much." Saxa already figured that he had to aim slightly northeast of where he wanted to shoot to hit the spot he wanted to hit. It was like having an off centered scope. It happened from time to time. As they got to the boss the hunter stepped his game up a notch. After taking an unexpected slash costing him one of his three precious life points. Then Sax started deflecting the objects and limbs at the appropriate moment. He stopped paying attention to the score until they killed it. He lost, by a mere three points.

"Well aren't you lucky little lady. I'm getting payback on stage two!"

"Ha! In your dreams pretty boy. I'm queen here and nobody ends my reign." She pouted and then pointed her gun at the screen, he didn't know the first thing about girls. They'd use that sibling excuse, then the cousin one, or childhood friends. She hated when they tried to say she had tricked a guy, sometimes she couldn't stand females. She could sense them approaching, and she wanted to call them vampires for their life sucking capabilities. She turned to glare at the approaching females and sent them an overly confident smirk. She didn't feel as though she should have to deal with all this stupidity on her date, but hey that was life huh?

Deciding to be daring she leaned over and kissed his cheek, looking some girls dead in the eyes as she claimed her territory, daring them the come closer. This was her night, with a cute guy, one she wouldn't have to hide the most important aspects about herself from. "Don't get too cocky, sweetie."

"Pssht. Nobody reigns forever," he said just as stage two was about to start. Saxa had good focus. Which was both good and bad right now. He didn't notice anything going on around him at the moment because his attention was was on the screen as the stage two started. Saxa quickly took the lead. Until he got that kiss on the cheek. It caught him off guard, something Leigh had a tendency to do. "Wha-" but before he could finish he got hit and lost another health point. "Ah, PISS!" His reactionary comment when something unexpected happened to him.

"So now we pulling out all the stops huh?" A zombie mini boss went down as he spoke. "You'll do anything to win," he said teasingly keeping his eye on the target. His competitive streak was kicked into high gear. Then he switched his gun to his left hand and swatted Harleigh's gun down a few times until she lost a life point. "My bad. . ." he said sarcastically trying not to burst out laughing. "Looks like we're even now though." A playful smirk played on his lips.

They somehow managed to make it all the way to stage thirteen before they lost. Along the way, a bunch of cheap tricks were used trying to get the other person to lose (Saxa even licked the side of her face) but eventually they just lost to a ridiculous onslaught of zombies that should never have been put on a game in the first place. A military battalion would've lost that craziness. Not surprisingly, Saxa was the first to die and Harleigh almost beat the level by herself leaving him both impressed and slightly peeved at the same time. "Look, I just wanna say that you cheated. I was at a disadvantage and I went easy on you. That totally makes me a beast at this." He poked her in the nose, "So what's next Queen Cheats-a-lot? Oh and that kiss. . ." Well, he didn't know exactly what to say about the last part.

"I did not cheat. I evened the playing field, Mr. Gun Expert. Besides, how could you be going easy on someone who stayed alive longer than you even after you got back all your lives?" Leigh stuck her tongue out at him, watching the girls in the background to make sure that they didn't come closer than 6 feet of her date. She would give them dirty looks every now and again, but she was surprised Saxa didn't notice them, then again he was a guy and when it came to the fairer sex guys had a tendency not to notice anything until it was too late.

"Well we can play DDR, ITG2, or pool. I personally will kick your butt in pool, no cheating needed. Oh DDR and ITG too," she said as she licked her lips and put a deliberate sway to her hips, signaling him to follow her to the back of the arcade where the tables were located. Upon arriving back there she regretted her little act as she saw big burly guys as well as rough looking ones who seemed to have probably just been released from the pen. "Um... we should go back... I suddenly would like to frequent a less crowded establishment." Leigh retreated to Saxa's side, tugging at his arm as she kept her gaze on the men.

Saxa snapped at her tongue when Harleigh pointed it at him, "It's called tactics madam. I figured it was time for something new since my awesomeness was so evident and couldn't be stopped. It wasn't really fair to anyone." He shrugged pompously and smirked as if he were some old school aristocrat. Now that they weren't playing the game, Saxa picked up on all the little things that Harleigh was doing. He saw her giving other girls nasty looks. It was cute. She was being protective of him and that amused the hunter. To think, this beautiful Dhampir didn't want any other woman coming to take him of all people. She didn't have a single reason to worry but watching her antics was too entertaining to stop so he stayed quiet.

Saxa's eyebrows arched at her confidence, "I may have let you have your shooting game, but I don't have the same mercy rules when it comes to pool. This would be a big mistake for you to challenge me at my game. We can get it on the other two games too." Being a man, his eyes sunk as she sashayed her way to the pool tables with him in tow. When they arrived it looked like the place was full of what looked like ex-convicts. Saxa wasn't scared although Harleigh seemed to be. "Let's get one game in," he told her with a pat on the head. "They won't bother you while I'm here and it won't take long, I promise." He looked up meeting the glares of some of the other patrons who seemed to be rather interested in his date. Oh how the roles have switched.

Harleigh turned pleading eyes to Saxa, her voice trembling, "Please, I want to go. We can do anything else you want to do Saxa. Just please I want to go." Harleigh wasn't sure her request would get through to him, but she was sure that the other males could sense, or at least see her uneasiness. The thought of being in a room with so many men sent a shiver of fear down her spine. He had patted her on the head and told her, well what sounded to her like he would protect her. However her feelings wouldn't subside. She didn't think that he was a push over at all, knowing that he could take them all down gave her a slight feeling of calm.

"Alright, one game... that's it, right?" Her voice was still fearful but less so as her eyes looked up into his in a manner that showed the fragility of her emotions. Emotions other than pride, arrogance and dominance; which were not even really emotions were they, were what vampires felt. The need to conquer, to rule and devastate and humiliate their prey, opponents and enemies.

Her fear was weird to him. Something about it made him feel like maybe she really didn't like men very much. Like something had happened in her past that scarred her to this effect. He couldn't imagine what it was or could've been but part of him felt bad for wanting to stay and play one game. Even after she agreed, "One game is all. Then we can go play a game of your choice or we can go eat." Why not take her out to dinner? She was growing on him the more time they spent and admittedly there was quite a bit of chemistry between them. Or so he felt. Maybe Harleigh was just nice? Who knows? Still that wouldn't change anything.

Saxa lead them over to a free table in the corner and put the seventy-five cents into the table for the balls. "You rack and I'll bust," he told her as he watched the other men in the room. Probably not the fairest thing to do but she wanted to be out of her quick and with all the looks their way he was getting, it was hard for him not to feel the same way. Now although Saxa wasn't necessarily the biggest guy around, he looked like he knew how to handle himself. You could see the outline of his muscles beneath his white v-neck --namely because he wore it tight. He was extremely fit.

Once she was done racking they both walked over to the cue rack to pick out their instruments of battle. Saxa felt a few up and checked them out for straightness before settling with a suitable one. "Okay are you ready?"

"Alright... where do you think you would like to eat?" Leigh smiled at him a little, trying to ignore the men who stared at her blatantly. If she was only half as confident in herself as she pretended to be these men wouldn't faze her. The way that Saxa eyed them in return was a bit reassuring though. The biggest guy looked like he was hankering for trouble as he kept gesturing towards her, making hour glasses in the air and glaring at Saxa. It wasn't making her feel any better about staying there. She set up the balls and moved the rack around a bit until she was pleased with its position.

She fit herself into the corner of the wall, trying to be as small as possible, and she wasn't going to be bending over that table from an angle where she was exposed to those men. She would do trick shots from her little corner and be content with losing if that's what happened. Saxa may have been a really strong guy but she was sure they were as strong if not stronger, and she wasn't going to use her scream, she didn't want to kill them; her whip was at home and her nails, gone in a show of good will. She was stronger than a human but she wouldn't be a match for them either. "I'm ready... go ahead, let's see what you got?"
