As the fall harvest was set in full swing more sheep seemed to be going missing. The farmers marched to the capital to have someone investigate the farms, while back home people were watching all night. Soon there was talk of Dragons though thought exstict for hundreds of years, it would explain the rise in sheep theft. Sheep were always killed by wolves or taken a few a year but not this many in a season and with the harvest on they couldn't risk men trying to hunt it on their own. The King sent out a request for a trained adventurer to venture into the nearest mountains and try to locate it offering a handsome fee for the victor. and a small fee if the adventure dies for family to live off of.

Shatani looked down at the farms surrounding her mountain thinking of the days when none would have ever dared ventured so close. But that was a few hundred years ago. Where were her kin and why where they allowing the humans so close? Turning away and into the mountain again she looks at the sheep and smiles how yummy they looked.

Kerash Uthira was one of several adventurers that had answered the king's summons, and the half elf was the one most experienced at hunting creatures of all sorts. It was his opinion that while there was something living in the mountains feeding off the farmers sheep, the likelihood of it being a dragon was practically nonexistent.

The trip to the mountains had been an easy one. Mostly roads and enough villages along the way he hadn't had to camp much. As he looked up from the foot of the mountain he saw a shape silhouetted against the sun. He shaded his eyes trying to make it out, but it had already disappeared into the mountain.

Dismissing it as a large bird of some sort he focused his attention back on the mountain and started his search for whatever was causing the farmers troubles.

Most of the villages that had their sheep stolen where centered around this one mountain section small in its length but decently high. They had cut almost all the forest down from around it and making what was once well hidden foot path very clear to see. There were stones on the path as once dragons had been worshiped and adored for they protected the people from invading lands and their magic to heal people. The path had been overgrown till the recent hoof marks of sheep marked into the moss along with a foot print he'd never seen before.

Kerash paused to wonder at the strange footprints on the path he'd chosen to follow. He suppose they should worry him, but he was quite sure that what ever had made them would be nothing he couldn't handle. They really were little more then a curiosity for him.
He brushed his dark hair out of his eyes took another moment to look around and started up the path hoping that whatever the sheep thief was it hadn't made it's nest or den or whatever it had very high up. It would be a much simpler job if it hadn't.

The sheep grazed in a flat spot on the mountain fences along to keep them safe as well as building to sleep in. Being up so high kept them hidden well as well as the entrance into her home. Sitting in at her make up table Shatani slow combed her long pink trimming it to loser back length humming to herself waiting for one of the others to wake from their sleep.
